My doctor called in my prescription this morning and told me it will be ready at the RB CVS store. When I got there, they said it would take 10 minutes to fill the prescription as they were swamped. The customer beside me was visibly irritated as he said he had been waiting for 30 minutes. The clerk had the prescription ready after 5 minutes, and was profusely apologizing for the long wait as they were short staffed. In an area like RB, there are a lot of ornery and cranky customers and it made me realize that you do need a lot of patience to deal with people like this. The fact the pharmacy clerk was smiling as she processed the transaction, and even managed to make an irritated customer smile and apologize for being cranky, is a testament to good service. I was thinking of transferring my refills and prescriptions to another pharmacy closer to home, but I think I will stick to this one. read more

I dropped a prescription on a Tuesday morning, I was told to come back on Friday to pick it up! Friday night I get there and half of my medicine is not there! This pharmacy is like so many other companies these days. Minimal staffing, underpaid staffing, extremely busy, yet trying to do their best. Be patient and kind to them. Management needs to ok more staff to work in the pharmacy. One tech until 2pm is not enough. Having said that, a couple suggestions: 1) Perhaps when you text that a prescription is ready for pickup that will require identification to be shown, state that in the text message. Many elderly people use this pharmacy and walk there, not always carrying their driver's license. I was asked if I knew my drivers license number. I said to the tech, "No, do you know yours?" 2) Also, send customers who have more than 2 or 3 store items to purchase, to the general purchasing line at the front of the store, so people waiting for medicines who might be ill, can get in and out as quickly as possible. Yes, I am sure your management tells you that it is good customer service, but paying very busy medical professionals to ring up your toilet paper and greeting cards makes no sense financially. read more

This CVS is terrible. I went to to get a prescription and they told me they didn't have any in stock and that they would call me when they got it. One week later and no call, they told me that I already picked the prescription up. After I insisted that I didn't, they then used the excuse that it wasn't covered by my insurance. While all this was going on, I see a man who asked to speak with the pharmacist himself. Apparently, the pharmacist didn't even give him enough pills! What a joke! Terrible customer service, terrible employees. Also, while I was exiting I see a sign next to the vitamins saying please check expiration dates before purchasing. Are you kidding me? The lines can be a little trying here. They need to open up more cash registers when the lines start to grow long. They have everything you would need from a pharmacy/one-stop dry goods store. They're also open 24-hours so that helps. The parking lot is huge so they definitely have space. It's a perfectly decent place to shop for home goods. Thanks! read more

Absolutely the shittiest CVS ever. You can't tell where the lines form so everyone cuts. The idiots behind three pharmacy counter don't know how to fill a prescription or only partially full it. I had to stand in line three times to have a prescription completed. They have no staff to answer questions. You have to wait thru the checkout line to speak to anyone. And they have no inventory. This should count as ten negative reviews since I've had way too many negative experiences here. read more

I will never step foot in this CVS again! Every time I go in, the wait to check out is LITERALLY no less than 15 min! They always have ONE checker despite having a long line and despite having other employees walk up to the front, see the long line, and then walk away. Today I went in to pick up some pictures and nothing else, and it took 20 min for me to walk in, get in the long line, and get my pictures. Instead of opening another register, an employee kept telling the customers there were self checkout registers. If I didn't need an employee to get me my pictures, I would have used the self checkout and if the other customers weren't buying alcohol, they would have used it as well. An employee FINALLY opened a second register after I had been waiting for 17 min. I said something to her about this being unacceptable customer service. She explained that the policy comes from their corporate office to only have one register open! That is ridiculous and unbelievable! I normally shop at the CVS off Duenda and they always have at least two registers open. I am also a supervisor in a grocery store and this kind of customer service (or lack thereof) would NEVER fly! CVS needs to have a complete makeover of how their customer service is done. Open 24-hours? Really? In Rancho Bernardo? Holy smokes! The staff aren't very friendly, there is usually a line of people at the check out counters, and there is never anyone around to ask any questions... However, this place is huge, I can see over every shelf in every aisle, so if I'm in the wrong aisle, I can just peak over to the next aisle and see if what I need is there. So far I've found everything I need... travel-sized bottles, a combination pad lock, a hair dryer, something to quench my thirst, a funny birthday card... so overall, not bad, now if we could just work on the customer service. read more

It's okay. I usually don't shop at CVS. I liked the Longs Drugs stores which CVS bought out. They had better deals. I came in to pick up a free razor with a coupon I got in the mail for the latest five blade razor with moisturizer. I do most of my pharmacy orders online so I don't go to places like this unless there is a sale going on. read more

I am not one to write bad reviews, but after 2 years, i have had enough. I have not had an issue with bad attitudes. And i am not referring to the long lines. It is the problem solving for their patients. They seem to create more problems for me than solve them. Last week i went to pick up a prescription and they tell me I had to pay $250 instead of $50 copay, since a generic was released. They would not call my insurance or doctor. You may say this is my job, but i will gladly tell you that my CVS pharmacist at the Mira Mesa branch saw the problem before even calling me, sorted it out with my doctor and insurance, and then called me to tell me they solved it! I call my insurance (Blue Shield of CA, they were awesome), and they tell me that it increased from $50 to $55, not $250! Every time a new staff is assigned, we have to go through the pre-authorization conversation all over again. They do not send it to my doctor; they tell me after i show up. For that same prescription, they had me pay double the price for a year, $100 instead of $50, as they were giving it to me as two separate dosages that add up to the total i take; they never noted that the dosage existed as one pill. With a couple of exceptions, a senior gentleman, a young lady, and a young man, i am just a number in the long pick-up line. I had to grab a prescription the other night and usually don't go to this CVS which seems to have improved although the bathrooms are always atrocious which I mention each time I am there, guess they don't care. So I thought I'd grab some ice cream cones (one with nuts on top) while I was there. Got home and they were totally stale,old,soft cones. I called and they said sorry, just bring your receipt back in. Drove over yesterday with my receipt and met Josh at the cashier who said, "no way I don't know who told you that", I told him someone did I would not have driven over here......Where is the friendly customer service, was he having a bad day? Was he the ice cream return policeman? I told him, dude, I can afford the $8.13 I promise and would not waste my time...he shrugged his shoulders at me! Visited store at Noon on Sunday May 3, 2015. There was only one person on the register. As a result, the line was a dozen deep and the wait 10+ minutes. One woman in line waited just to ask a question because there was on one on the floor to help. I tried to help her, but was I unable to answer her question, so she waited with the rest of us. read more

Absolutely the laziest pharmacy EVER. Two days ago I picked up a new prescription and when I pointed out that they had given me the wrong quantity of pills they were rudely taken from my hand and then it took five minutes for them to decide that YES they had made a mistake. Another 15 to correct it. Today when I called to discuss refilling a prescription I waited for 15 min and finally hung up and called again. When I asked about the wait this guy who sounded like he had an issue with his nose dripping tells me he never put anyone on hold. Really? Jessilyn is apparently the name of the manager there. In San Diego we have choices. This CVS Pharmacy is a mess. It is dirty and all things are a mess. I brought in a prescription and 5 days later when they still had not filled it I went in to get my prescription back. They couldn't find it. It cannot be transferred because it is an opioid. Now I am out of medication and they could care less. I even picked up a filled prescription and when I got home I realized it was a medication for SOMEONE ELSE. I came to San Diego forgetting my contact solution. It was 1am when I realized and I knew that this particular CVS was open 24 hours and whenever I was in need of last minute shopping it came to the rescue. Not only do they sell the basic medicines, snacks, and home goods, but they sell holiday items, gifts, clothes, and quality perfumes. It's literally a one-stop-shop! Last night there was a sale on San Diego Charger fold-up chairs - $12.99 each! Normally they're $25 retail. and I bought a San Diego Charger 18 can cooler (I was going to use it as a lunch bag) for $10 - normally $20! As I perused the aisles, I stopped by the perfume counter and they actually sold high end brands for reasonable prices and that night it was buy 1 get 1 50% off - D&G, Carolina Herrera, Versace, Fendi, Juicy - and these aren't knock-off cheap watered down perfumes. Unfortunately I didn't buy any because I wanted the Charger chairs, lunch bag, and contact solution. But I loved the fact they had such great deals and they were open late. They even sell bamboo plants and Rancho Bernardo imprinted clothing if you're into that stuff :) read more

This pharmacy is awful!!! It's almost like they're screwing with me on purpose! EVERY time (and I'm not exaggerating) they screw up my prescription. They also like to over charge you and not give you your entire prescription but they still charge you for the entire amount. If you use this pharmacy you have to really watch to make sure they aren't screwing you. Plus there is always a huge line! They are so unorganized and understaffed it is a joke! AVOID! read more

The female older manager continued to follow me around the store and wait at the top of each isle blatantly trying to catch me, a 27 year old mother, Steal some sort of office supplies this horrific employee should be reprimanded at once. At about 230 am I am getting off work (well 1 pm) and stop by the 24 hr to see any new deals etc. Once I brought my basket of 10 or less items, buying 3-4 at a total of almost 40 dollars I was inappropriately asked why I'm not purchasing everything and I asked her what is the issue i wait to see what's priority when I am checking out is that an issue? I will be taking this to upper management and taking back the 70 dollar jimmy choo fragrances and whatever else because of this one horrifying and embarrassing woman working there on a Monday /Tuesday early morning, if I wasn't able to pay for all of it how embarrassing would that be?! I told her she would be hearing from me soon via management and cvs store customer service and she told me to get out. We are an ob/gyn office here in Rancho Bernardo - the pharmacy manager, Vrajni, treated one of my medical assistants just awful - she was yelling to the point the medical assistant burst into tears - we will NOT send our patients to this CVS - looking at the other reviews for this pharmacy it appears the Store Manager, Tommy might want to do a serious eval and give Vrajni, some customer service guidelines - when I called to report this concern to Tommy - sadly he didn't give the impression of being that concerned - I expect nothing will change - looking at another review which stated the employees are being overworked and underpaid - that does not justify bad behavior read more

If I could I would have given zero stars. Mia at the registers have a lot of attitude and is not very nice to her customers. I understand you're in retail, but when a customer asks for a question she should not be giving attitude and saying I don't know.. If you don't know the answer ask a supervisor or manager.. It's really not that hard.. And when I ask if you could ask a supervisor my question and right in front of your customer say stuff under your breathe is very unprofessional.. I had to return a prescription to this store because my doctor ordered a foam instead of a cream. I did not realize the error when I picked up the prescription. This was not the pharmacy's fault. I entered the store at 7:50 a.m. on a Saturday January 14, and there was not a soul in the store. I went directly to the pharmacy (this is a 24-hour store) and requested the $35 refund to my debit card. There was one person in the pharmacy and she did not know how to do a credit to my debit card and there was no cash in the register to give me cash back. She called a manager. Five minutes later this nasty older lady showed up and lectured me on how CVS was not allowed to put the credit back on the debit card but she was making an "exception" for me....her tone was venomous. I didn't care how I got the refund, I just wanted my money back. She handed me the credit slip and said "you better" check you statement. Wow! This is the manager! No wonder the vibe in this store is so vile. I put in the date and the time in case CVS reads this, but I doubt they care. read more
