The absolute worst pharmacy I've ever been to in my life. I am 75 years old and that should tell you how bad it is.

After waiting in line for 45 minutes, pharmacy assistant was rude, disrespectful and verbally abusive.

Omg between Palm Springs Cvs and Rancho Mirage Cvs they have screwed up my prescriptions so many times I lost track each pharmacist blames the other I wish that I could go somewhere else but I can't because of my insurance I just wanted to say that they have a problem with gay people it seems when I hear people complaining it always a gay person not a straight person maybe it's time we get together and file a lawsuit why does upper management let them get away with it I'm still scratching my head I called this morning for a refill and after driving to the store they screwed it up again I'm now calling corporate about this issue that seems ongoing this pharmacy needs new personal read more

Regarding CVS Minute Clinic COVID testing: it was a fiasco! I'm a frequent, generally satisfied customer at CVS on Sunrise in Palm Springs, so I scheduled a test online. I knew it was drive up but I didn't know I would have to take the sample myself and the clerk would remain inside, not very nicely giving instructions. Okay, I'm old! I dropped the lid between the car seats and couldn't get it out. She said she couldn't give me another. I tried again, hurting my hand and arm in the process, still couldn't get it. Clerk finally said, I'll get you another one. After all this time holding a swab unprotected in a car with AC on, I told her to null and void the test as I could no longer trust the results would be valid. She said she would cancel it. I said I didn't want Medicare or myself charged for it and I left. Still coughing, achy and shallow breath, no test!!!! read more

Worst customer service of any CVS . An employee almost mowed me over with his restocking cart. It startled me especially since I initially thought the store might be closed , given how empty it was. No warning Just accelerated the carts speed to go directly behind me, while I was kneeling to pick out a neutrogenia product. He was less than 4 inches from me & would have hit me if I didn't move forward. Aside from the lack of social distancing it was very startling. Then he blamed me for being in the way. Very rude and unprofessional. Clearly, I should've see the store being empty at lunchtime on a Friday as a sign, but I'm just visiting the area & didn't know customers were not welcome at this cvs location. Went here for my covid booster and I honestly don't know if I was given the correct dosage. More on that in a sec. I made an appt online for 2:15. I arrived at 2:05. The lady helping me told me the pharmacist has to go on a lunch break and to come back in 30 min. Really? I show up early only to be told to come back later? Ok fine. It happens. I come back and the pharmacist was so all over the place. At first he thought he was just filling out my vaccine card as if I already got it. I explained no I didn't get it yet, I had to come back, remember? He comes around to give me my shot and starts telling me some odd stuff about how he thinks it's a huge mistake that the boosters are a smaller dosage and starts rambling off the amounts for each brand. He told me what he gave me which I thought was odd and didn't think much of it until later. I might be wrong but I feel like he said he gave me .5 (the booster is .25 I believe). Hopefully I'm wrong, I was so confused by his rambling at this point. Then he says I can go since I already had moderna and didn't have a reaction. I said no I told you I had Pfizer before and he looked panicked for a second and said oh then yea you'll need to wait 10 min. Even my card said it and we spoke about it. He was just so jumbled and rushed and not professional at all! I would never trust this pharmacy to give proper meds. Very dangerous. read more

I called to refill a prescription. I followed the prompts and put in the prescription number. The automated voice confirmed the refill and said the prescription would be ready for pick-up the following day. I waited one extra day before driving over to pick-up the medication. When I got there I was told that they did not have my order and the prescription would not be filled for several hours. This is not the first time the CVS system has not worked. From now on whenever I need a refill I will speak to someone directly. What a waste of time! read more

This CVS Pharmacy is a mess and violated HIPPA Laws when it gave me a prescription that was intended for another person. I didn't realize it until I got home and saw that it was for a friend of mine. I called him and he checked the label of his prescription that he picked up the same day and saw that it had my name on it. Strange coincidence and a horrendous blunder by CVS Rancho Mirage. Kathy did her best with a return of an item from another store. This location did not have the same tote bag which had not worn well in just 2 weeks, but she took the time to offer options, etc to return or exchange the item. I have been coming here since they were in their old Rancho Las Palmas location down the way and now this location is SUPER busy. The staff always does their best to expedite the line and are pleasant when doing so. Corporate should probable hire more personnel but while they may be short staffed they do their best. As a local shopper and CVS Extra Care rewards holder, I appreciate their doing their best to service their regular customers both at this location and the Indian Wells location throughout the store and pharmacy! Just because a new doctor is now my primary care doctor I don't think it makes any sense for me to have to see him. Especially since he was at lunch. I basically never write yelp reviews but I have such a need to write one for this CVS, it's crazy. I walked into the pharmacy after calling to transfer my prescription three different times and being put on hold each of those times for over 20 minutes on two separate days. Despite this being a turn-off for me off the bat, I had been to this cvs before (not for a prescription though) and was open minded as it was a big location in a nice area. However, the second I got there, I waited a few minutes before, even though I was standing first in line (about 10 people were working in the pharmacy), I had to call over to get someone to help me. Then, I told the woman who came to see me my issue and that I was hoping to have my prescription ready by the end of the day (it was around 11am and CVS doesn't close until late) and she told me that it was going to be ready whenever despite it being early in the day and my insistence that I had a bad experience and I needed my prescription. Next, despite my pharmacy telling me to have the CVS call them, they said that if I wanted to have the prescription ready I had to have my pharmacy actually call them instead, as it would take more than 24 HOURS for them to call my pharmacy back. All I was thinking was what if they put my pharmacy on hold as long as I was on hold for! In addition to all this commotion, the staff at the at CVS were nothing but rude and demeaning. I have never seen a person not care about the effect that her job has on people more than the woman that "helped" me. Any normal employee I hope would strive to help someone like me who had a bad prior experience in their store that they know about. But, instead this CVS employee had a horrible attitude towards me and did just the opposite. Rancho Mirage CVS Pharmacy, you lost a customer in me today. I hope that you can fix things in your store so that you don't lose many more. And for those of you reading my recommendation, if it wasn't already clear, let me make it crystal: try another pharmacy because this CVS is not worth your time. read more

Don't get a COVID test at CVS if expecting a quick result for travel. It took them 5 days for my husband to get results and 8 for me. They have no accountability or way to check on the results if there is a problem. They just send you to an 800 number where you get a recorded message and then a hang up. We ended up spending extra money for a hotel room several nights because we could not stay with our party in our prepaid room. Several people on the plane did not have results either. I went in there yesterday 8/28/13 to get TP. But of course they had so many good deals that I bought more than that..here is where the issue starts...I forgot my extra care card & had just downloaded coupons (that I always forget about) on to it. I got frustrated with the cashier since I felt as though he asked me for my card 5 times which was probably 2. I was short, probably rude & after snapping back into reality I realized this man did not lose his cool once, he was polite & professional actually going out of his way to help the situation. The CVS on Bob Hope in Rancho Mirage id probably the worst place to get a prescription filled. They constantly make mistakes and when you bring it to their attention, the argue with you. The male pharmacist is the worse. He is rude and does not know how to relate with people. This review is also based on my pharmacy experience with my mother. Long story short- Pharmacy tells us prescription is ready. We go with coupon for 1st month free (of two month supply). Get there and because coupon wasn't faxed in with prescription they have to redo order and we're told it'll take 15 minutes. Thought maybe they could just charge us half price and deal with issue on their own time but I guess not. No worries we'll go to stein mart and shop. Half hour later we return still not ready. We sit for about 10 minutes and decide to leave. Well now it's ready. We go to counter. Only one month was processed and it was the one we have to pay for. Are you kidding me? And now somehow the second one is no longer available and we have to wait until Monday. WHAT???? The reply I get from girl regarding where did second month go makes no sense to me. Shoppers, beware! I was disgusted with the service I received from Walgreen's, so I decided to change my Rx's to CVS. Big mistake! If you have any kind of prescription plan through AARP, United Healthcare, Medicare, etc., be sure to check prices BEFORE you make the change. This has been a costly lesson for me ($217, to be exact...vs. $5 at Walgreens!) I hate it, but I'll need to go back to Walgreens (with my tail between my legs) since nobody in their right mind would pay these prices. But, now that I've read some of the other YELP reviews about CVS service, etc., that may be the best thing to do anyway. read more

Giving this place 2 stars. They never contacted me to pick up my medication. Called two days later it was finally ready. When I got there they said it would take 15 minutes to load my insurance. Why would it take that long to load?? Then they give me an amount that was more than what my insurance company allows and then charged me. Told them I only wanted the monthly amount. Another 10 minutes later they come back with the correct prescription. 25 min of waiting!!! Not coming back here. Rite-aid, you have my business. read more

The girl that works in the back, wanted to argue and never made an apology, totally arrogant. I wish there were an option for less than 1 star. If you are hoping for good or even decent service, go to any other pharmacy. My doctor sent a prescription here because it's close to work - big mistake. I did not save any time by using a pharmacy close to work because this is the most inefficient one around! My prescription was sent at 10:30am, I stopped by on my lunch break and waited 25 minutes to be told they didn't have any of that medicine here and I would need to come back the next day after 4pm. I came back as requested the next day around 5pm and the medicine wasn't ready - I suppose 30 hours is not enough prep time for CVS. I stood in the pick up line for 15 minutes and was told it wasn't ready. I was advised to go to the drop off line to have my insurance entered. I stood in that line another 15 minutes and then was asked to sit for another 20 minutes so they could prepare my medicine!! This has been too absurd an experience to even express how frustrating this crew is. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else. NEVER coming here again. read more

Went in for my prescription,but it was out of stock (which was fine) but the pharmacist went ahead and ran my insurance as well as my prescription card to let me know of any co-pays I may need to pay. I was informed that I had a $0 co-pay. I went in today and was told I had to pay $555. My information said cash, even though I have insurance. All the pharmacist would say is that my insurance wouldn't cover my prescription. I got home and ran it through the cvs/Caremark app and the app stated I would have to pay $100 with my prescription card alone, not including my health insurance. I'm disappointed that CVS would try to make me pay the cash price for a medication that I could have received for much less if they would've ran my CVS/CAREMARK prescription card, let alone have received it for no cost with my prescription card and insurance card ran. If I was you, I would shop @ Rite Aid or Walgreens....Mgmt team & shift supervisors are terrible, poor cutomer service. The cashiers seem to be the only friendly people there for about one or two of them are nice. most of the staff look sad. Yeah!!! Longs Drugs store was so much better. If you have any problems with the mgmt or any of the staff call the Regional office in Ontario, CA 909-244-1400 ask for Paul Stumpe.....If that doesn't work call his boss Marshall J. My wife and I were in the Palm Springs area on vacation and needed to fill a prescription. She likes a specific manufacturer of her medication and we could not find it anywhere. Then we just happen to drive by this CVS and thought we would give it one more shot. We pulled up to the drive-through window and were greeted by Caprice and explained our situation she spoke to the pharmacist Lori. We gave Lori the manufacturer name and number that's on the tablet she cross-referenced it and they had them in stock. It was 20 minutes until closing she said drive around and come back in 15 minutes and it will be done and it was. I Highly recommend this pharmacy they went above and beyond and saved us a huge hassle (six hour round-trip drive). Thank you Laurie and Caprice. read more

New store is open but same old poor service in pharmacy. For some reason, employees that are competent and friendly disappear and are replaced by employees that are poorly trained, lazy, rude and unfriendly. 3 or more pharmacy employees usually congregate in back of pharmacy while one less than competent employee tries to help customers. Wait times to drop off and pick up prescriptions are way too long. Recent examples of rude treatment and poor service are an apparent "trainee" named Jose and an employee named Kristin. I often need to ask the store manager, Mike, to intervene in order to get my prescription. Service and attitude problems apparently originate with "Juan", who is apparently the regional or district manager for this CVS pharmacy - Service in the other parts of the store is okay. read more
