Fell ill while visiting Albany and had to have a last minute medication script filled. I gave the…read moredoctor this CVS as it appeared closest to the Fairfield Inn and Suites on State St. Within 2 hours the CVS called and left me a voicemail saying my prescription was filled and ready for pick up. I was very happy with the speed the script was filled, communication and that it was in stock. While driving to leave town we picked it up the next day. When my partner went in to the pharmacy to pick it up there was a pretty long line at the pharmacy. My partner said the line moved at a decent pace. Once at the front the pharmacist was very fast to get the prescription and complete the transaction. The speed was top notch! We were very happy with a seamless prescription filling especially while traveling out of state. I would absolutely recommend this pharmacy and pharmacist! I am happy we chose to drive to pick it up and not walk. The area is not one that I would recommend walking through unless you are familiar with the area or have a local with you. The area seemed a bit rough. There were some quite obviously on drugs individuals wandering by while I waiting outside in the car at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon.

I think they hike the prices extra because this pharmacy is located in Delmar and they assume everyone has money. My neighbor's daughter worked at the store when she was in high school and was constantly pressured to work more hours. That was the last straw for me. I support workers. There are signs everywhere talking about cameras, and the general vibe is that there is no possibility that anyone who isn't a criminal would ever have reason to enter the store. I was there to buy some packing tape, which they sell for around $15 a roll. At that price I could have paid to had it shipped overnight from Amazon. It's sad, because CVS used to be a normal store. So much, the goods are falling off them. There are numerous entrances. Three check-out counters. The CVS folks that work at this location have always been very friendly and helpful in all ways and in all manners. Once, I needed a sheet of paper and they were able to come up with it for me. Check-out is brisk and accurate! The drinks and freezer section does seem to be in perpetual disrepair and it needs more attention for sure (take note staff). Locals that work around this CVS must buy-out all the gatorades, waters and sodas. It's ransacked. Other than that, this CVS is very great. They stay open late in the PM hours when other CVS close early in the evening. There is a separate section for letters and cards, beauty, shampoo, drugs, snacks, summer shopping and even chocolates/candy/chips. That said: can we get an isle for men only? Every time I come to any CVS - and I mean any CVS - half the stores are for babies and women. I spend ten minutes shopping only to find out there is no protein shakes, no beer and the men's shampoo is SOLD OUT! I am sick and tired of 'sheconomy'... Rude, unhelpful, lazy, and if you call and ask to have scripts mailed now, don't expect them to do it. Twice I called when scripts were not received and twice told here was nothing to send - they put back on shelf when I did not pick up after 5 days. Despite speaking with two different people over 7 days there were no notes on file and they claim they did not receive a call to mail. Very rude staff. Transferred all my scripts. Covid and short staffed, or not, I won't spend my money where I am treated poorly.
