A number of national chain stores have claimed to recycle the heavy plastic bags that are used as mailers. Walmart is one of those businesses. I was so delighted when I recently showed up at the Supercenter on Troy Road to discover that the Walmart's claims were true. I didn't know what the recycling bin would look like. So I asked for help and I found the staff to be gracious. They walked me over to the recycling area which was neat and well maintained. The bin was empty and ready to accept donations. I believe strongly in sustainability and reducing my carbon footprint. I've been looking for recyclers in the Capital Region. Sometimes, I get disappointed. There are chain stores (should I name them all?) which claim to recycle but do a poor job of it. Their employees are nasty and their bins are dirty, neglected and overflowing. I'm happy to share the good news that both this Walmart as well as the Target store in the neighboring shopping plaza are accepting plastic mailers for recycling and their employees have been welcoming. The recycling process time consuming and expensive. It's nice to know that some large businesses are giving back. read more

First time here and it was so nice. We were greeted with Hello, welcome to Walmart. Another employee asked if we needed help and we said yes so she took us right to the item we needed. Store was clean and so were the bathrooms. When we left they said thank you for shopping at Walmart. Highly recommend. read more

I went to the store 1/31/2025 at about 7:20 pm. I made my way over to the locked case of deodorant. There is a button to press to have someone come over. I waited several minutes and went up front and told an associate I needed assistance. They said they would send someone. Other people came to this aisle pressing the button waiting for assistance. at least 10 more minutes passed so I went to the service desk. I told the female at the service desk I have been waiting ( with others) for someone to come with the key. She claimed she would get someone. No one came. The apathy of these employees is digusting. read more

What can you say about Walmart? They have everything you need a price if you can afford. When you need something you can always just go to Walmart and get what you need. Don't have to run to a bunch of places because this place probably has everything. read more

The key thing is a big freaking disaster. Looked all over for person. Went to front desk.They announced it out speaker. The last two times I have been to the garden center at the Walmart in East Greenbush, the associates were very friendly and helpful. I always buy my mulch there and in the past have loaded it myself. Today a very nice gentleman helped me load 10 bags in my car saving my back! I also feel like this Walmart is much neater and cleaner than Target! Great job! read more

I like this Walmart for handling my curbside pickups. The area For curbside pick up is very novel and innovative. It includes a covered area for when it's raining also. And the employees are quick and with your packages as well as friendly too. Well done! read more

This is the second time in the past week that the employees at the self checkout were no help and rude. Stephanie was busy chatting with her coworkers to attend a problem I was having with an item wouldn't scan a price. She turned and told me to wait while she finished her conversation. Saunders was rude!! An older man had a red light on his register and was waving to her for help. She was very annoyed and stared at him before helping. When my husband inadvertently scanned frozen fruit twice, I said we needed help. She stood at the other end of the registers and again just stared at us. Finally, she approached us, I told her the problem, she fixed it, I said thank you and she never said you're welcome. What is the problem with Wal-Mart's personnel? I will do most of my shopping from now on at BJ'S, SHOP AND SAVE, AND HANNAFORD. It's a shame that managers don't correct this behavior. read more

Walmart could be a fantastic place to shop if they cleaned the place and hired nicer employees. First, the customers here are for some reason are rude and dress inappropriately. The employees here are terrible people. Multiple times I've been here, I have been harassed by "security guards". These two guys who don't even wear security clothes harass me every time I come here. One time I was actually walking down an aisle and the security guard came up to me and said I had to leave. I asked why and he said because your an a**hole. It's a shame because this Walmart has a big selection of food and other items. Also, it is extremely cheap. Overall, the selection here is big, but the workers are out of control. read more

Rating for the grocery pick up only!! I spent the week slowly adding things into my shopping cart in the app, then hit purchase the night before I wanted to get my grocery's. The next morning I pull up, someone loads groceries in my trunk, I sign, and drive away. It was almost magical. No wrangling the small human child out of the car, across the parking lot, and into a grimy cart. No trying to move past people arguing about what brand of potato chip is best. No trying to keep small human child occupied and in the cart while simultaneously trying to make sure I got everything on my list from that one isle. No walking back across the store because I forgot something on the opposite side. No waiting for obscene amounts of time in a check out line while stoically maintaining my "no impulse candy purchases in the check outline" policy when I really want to cave and get my kid to quit telling the world how she finally went poop by giving her any form of sweet. No dodging random solar sales guys as I try to leave the store. No more looking for my car, realizing it's in the wrong isle and having to trek down the entire length of the parking lot because no on can seemingly park well enough to allow space for a cart pass between two cars. No debating between what to load first - kid or groceries? No trying to maneuver the cart to stay close to the car while not rolling away and hitting a car. No loading child and groceries in whatever worst case order ends up happening. No worrying about what obnoxious person is going to call CPS on you because you locked your kid, safely strapped in the car seat, in the car so you could push your cart to a stall that smells like trash and is sticky in the five feet leading up to where you can finely release the rattling contraption to its purgatory. And none of the "oh shit. I forgot the main ingredient for dinner tonight" steering-wheel thrashing that happens when you finally get back to your car and triple check your list. Whatever, we'll eat the cereal I impulse bought because I was shopping hungry. So five out of five stars for grocery pick up. I forgot nothing, I could still check that my produce was up to par, and my kid was none the wiser that we skipped the checkout line wars. read more

DO NOT TRUST THEIR TIRE CENTER! They swapped out the wrong tires on my truck. Waited 2hrs! Got a bad attitude from the clerk. Good thing I checked before leaving. They were to replace the front tires but changed the rear tires. The rear tires were 2 months old. The front tires had wire threads coming out of it (which they inspected as good according to the work order). Total waste of time. read more

if this Walmart will no longer do returns without a recepit they need to take the customer service sign down at the service center that states "we will gladly return any time within 90 days with Or without a receipt" my daughter got two bathing suits from a family member for her birthday which were too small and the associates refused to do anything to initiate a return or exchange. On top of it, they are extremely rude. If your store policy has changed you might want to take the sign down that contradicts it. Too many bad experiences now at this Walmart to want to shop here any longer. read more

The prices are always great. However ever time I come to this location as it is my local Walmart the shelves are bare never restocked. I've been a large order type of gal here and can't even receive the products I order on a weekly basis. I wanted you to know so maybe one day things will be restocked. read more

Not having any on Long Island, I like this Walmart Supercenter on US-4 near US-90.It is well lit, clean and the various departments are spaced logically. There is always ample parking. Facing the store from the parking lot ,and looking inside the store from right to left one would find the grocery store,electronics,clothes and small appliances(toward the middle) and pharmacy/health/beauty to your left. The store features great prices on some of my favorite pantry staples like Gervalia Royal Dark and Caribiou Obsidian K-Cups, Geisha/Bumble Bee Clams, various BBQ sauces and salad dressings and bottled pasta sauces(don't snicker and sneer....I doctor them). Anyway, I went here on 12/26 to buy a new cellphone charger because I left mine in Massapequa Park. I also snagged four bottles of my favorite bottled pasta sauce, Bertolli's. Save some money. Came to pick up my groceries and they substituted an item with not even what i wanted so i asked if they could please swap it out for another item like what i ordered, the person who was helping me asked another associate or manager for groceries if they could swap it out for me and she said no and didnt care , she said for me to go in and swap it , i have my dogs in the car this is the whole purpose of pick up grocery , not for me to go inside and swap out something they didht do right , but the boy paves who helped me wAs nice read more

I was at Walmart Auto Center today for 4 new tires. Lisa and Shawn were the only two there! What a great job they did! Walmart really needs to hire more people in their Auto center! Just saying! Well Lisa was a great representative of Walmart (very helpful selecting tires)and Thank you Shawn for a job well done under such circumstances! There are not enough staff on the floor to respond to customer inquiries who could help me help finalize my purchase. I tried to buy razor blades but the electronics department has the only key to unlock the razor blades from the shelves. Only one staff person at electronics who could not leave the department alone, and two people at customer service helping a cashier to complete a transaction. Waited + 20 minutes at customer service and came back and was ignored. read more

I really hate coming here and always leave feeling aggravated. The managers stand around in groups and chat, completely ignoring customers and long lines. Several times I've had to fill my cart with expired lunch meat, sausage, and dairy products that were ridiculously past the date and physically bring them to the front to be disposed of. Telling the managers and showing them does no good, because I tried that and went back a few days later to see the exact same past date lunch meat sitting on the shelf. I really can't think of 1 positive thing to say about the management team. They suck. read more

I bought a set of jersey sheets for my bed they looked brand new !, when i got home and unpacked the sheets i noticed the fitted sheet was, torn, discolored, smelly, and covered in dog hair! just disgusting i was so disappointed i had to go back and exchange !! how do sheets get returned and resold like that yuck! I'm very upset the walmart on Troy Road is no long open 24 hours due to a night manager. This is something that the Rensselaer & East Greenbush community I can for sure say is disappointed with.
