If I could give less than 1 star I would. I am dealing with some short term anxiety and the tech was extremely unprofessional. She had the pharmacist release my med without asking if I have taken it before. When I asked if I could find out side effects she said they were too busy and I would need to go wait in the drop off line. There were no other customers behind me. While waiting for a pharmacist to come over I told my husband I wanted to leave because I was too anxious. She assumed I was talking about her and came over and got really aggressive. It was a really terrible experience. read more

The woman at the pharmacy with NO BOTTOM TEETH told me my son's antibiotics were not available and my insurance was canceled. Neither are true I'm assuming she just didn't want to work... I asked to speak to a manager or someone who could help with the insurance confusion and the toothless lady pretended to walk away and come back and mocked me when I was being polite and said "I'm the manager" with a grin like she really stuck it to me - customer service didn't exist. She then said "I don't know what to tell you." And walked away without helping me any further. Stood there shocked and someone else in line said that this location always sucks and I should just try Freddy's across the street. I'm went to pick up an allergy prescription that was called in by my Doctor. The young female with long black hair on 08/27/2025 @ 9:40 am, had so much perfume on it caused an allergy attack. The prescription was not ready, so I quickly left. I went back later that day when it was ready. They could not find the prescription. They looked for 10 minutes. When they finally found it, I was sent to the back of the line. No Organization and very rude. I vow to transfer my prescriptions and never step foot into a CVS pharmacy again after that incident. CVS does not train their staff in providing a good/positive customer service experience. Not to mention the pharmacy lacks in organizational skill. In the store portion,most everything is locked up. So getting the one staff member they have to come and open the cabinets is nearly impossible. read more

Don't use the Pharmacy Drive-Thru. It's a minimum 20 minute wait if there is a car ahead of you, but usually it takes 30+ mins if there are 2+ cars in line. And I have the fast pick-up, pre-pay, card's on file and all the etcs... It's a little faster going inside. Plan to take an hour out of your day to pick up meds and you'll be a little less disappointed once you get home. read more

This is the CVS I have most often visited. It's conveniently located at a major intersection (which can be tricky at times, traffic-wise) and across from a grocery store (other side of Carr Rd). I've always had this ?weird? impression that CVS was like the upscale pharmacy among the several available. Sadly, my insurance is not accepted here so I don't use their pharmacy but only come to shop for nail polish or whathaveyou. Today I needed a Seattle souvenir and lo and behold walked into find an entire spot right at the front dedicated to just that (please add some local food items as well for souvenirs). The only weird thing was that some of their aisle markers were a bit off (as seen on tv was just picture frames); and the cosmetics section was having a makeover I guess? (funnily, a wall decor that says something like "it's important what people see" was hanging there amidst the disarray). Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I got what I needed. Thanks! read more

It was around 6pm on a Thursday, I had just gotten indoors after doing some yard work, and I noticed I was covered in red bumps. Everywhere. I was so itchy. I pulled out my phone, scheduled a virtual urgent care visit, and the doctor prescribed me a medication to stop the reaction. Pharmacy closes at 8, my appointment took about half an hour, so I called CVS around 7pm and asked if there was any possibility they could fill it. I explained my itchy situation, and they said "we'll have it filled in 45 minutes." I hoped in my car, drove down to CVS, told them I was here--waited a few minutes, and they had my prescriptions ready to go. I'm posting this a day later, and so much less itchy. Thank you. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My doctor sent in a refill for one of my regular prescriptions and when I got the text message confirming the order, it showed the order was being filled at a pharmacy in California. I immediately called into the Benson pharmacy to find out how to get it transferred to the Renton location on Carr Road that I always use for my prescriptions. The guy that answered the phone said he would cancel the order and place a new one that would be ready for pickup later that day. I never received a notification that my order was ready for pickup so I logged into the app this morning and found that it's ready for pickup in California. UGH! After sitting on hold for another 30 minutes, I was able to get it straightened out but it shouldn't take two phone calls to resolve something that they committed to resolving the first time I contacted them. Since Caremark is my company's PBM and I am required to use only CVS pharmacies, they have zero incentive to make things better for me as a consumer. Our for-profit healthcare system sucks! read more

Literally the worst experience I've ever had in any pharmacy ever. I scheduled a Covid test for a surgery and drive 45 min to this location to get it. They left me waiting for 50 minutes because they couldn't figure out how to print a label! I had to leave to pick up a child from daycare. In my 50 min waiting in the drive through approximately 20 cars came and left behind me. The staff here are not competent to manage a pharmacy and should close until they can find people skilled enough to print a label and who care about customers enough to communicate. I had to leave with no test and now have to scramble to find one to have surgery by tomorrow. Update: I just got an email from them that shows that they collected my test but cancelled it. Do not give a time on a doctors phone in order when a order is going to be ready and not have it ready. I can walk-in, drop off a prescription and have it filled faster at Fred Meyer Pharmacy at Benson Center than wait the additional 20 minutes past the time you quoted that my prescription would be ready. read more

I was at the store at 10712 SE Carr Rd in Renton, WA (Store #10285) on January 28, 2022. I was extremely disturbed at how dirty the store was. Garbage, wrappers, used kleenex inside the store - nearly all over. This is disgusting. I'm assuming that customers are doing the littering (disgusting also), but store workers must take responsibility and action to keep the store floors clean. PLEASE!!! Unfortunately the terrific pharmacy tech who always helped me initially is the exception rather than the rule. This pharmacy is not any different from every run of the mill store. This happened on 2-22-2017 Honey from CVS just called me at 1:21 p.m and she told me to brace me for some really bad news. She told me that the pharmacist Charlie To is not going to fill my prescription. She told me that Dr. Edwards called Charlie To, the pharmacist yesterday February 20th and confirmed the authorization of his prescription that he wrote for me on February 13, 2017. Note, that I did not get a phone call or a text message saying anything or being informed of this phone call. I called yesterday and Debbie said that they have not heard back from the doctor. Which was a complete lie. When I called the pharmacist today at 1:02 p.m he was not in and I talked to Shane. Shane told me the pharmacist was not there, and they have not heard back from the doctor yet. I told Shane at this point that since I will be going back down to California on Thursday I should probably just take my prescription back and have it filled down in California when I bury my dad on Friday. I called the doctor at 1:12 p.m and he told me that he did call the pharmacist yesterday. When I talked to Honey at 1:21 after I hung up with Shane, she told me that the pharmacist Charles To said that it is under "his discretion" that he does not feel comfortable filling my prescription. I said what for? (Note: it was 30 pills of Percocet). She said; well, he said because since I'm going to be down in California that I could just go ahead and get it filled down there on Thursday when I go. I asked her, "how could he have known that: I just told Shane that a few minutes ago when I got off the phone with him"?. She said we'll, Charles is down in California right now and he won't be back until this weekend and you can ask him then. I told Honey; "No, something else is up". You don't lie to a patient under any circumstance. He had everything he needed by law to fill that prescription. She said, "I know" Mrs. Cress, "I know". She said he "feels"like there's too many red flags. I said "too many red flags"??? "Not on my end end there isn't; everything has been done by law legally"! All the prescriptions that he fills are from my doctor who is in California. And now he just decides NOT to fill this one? This pharmacy filled this exact prescription previously a year ago, why all the sudden is he saying there's too many red flags? My doctor personally talked to him yesterday to confirm that the prescription that he wrote for me is a legitimate prescription; not his office colleagues but him personally. I have been going to CVS since I have moved up to Renton Washington 3 1/2 years ago even though we still have another home in CA. Our family spends thousands of dollars a year; a couple hundred dollars a month at your pharmacy and he tells me that there's too many red flags? I think the pharmacist Charlie To has red flags that he's dealing with because it has nothing to do with me. I think it's time for us to leave CVS pharmacy. I will not be doing business any longer for CVS nor your pharmacy. I told Honey previously; if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be doing much business with them because they have gone through so many people and pharmacists while she has kept it together. And now this? I told her don't worry about my husband picking up his medication tonight that he got a text message for because we will be sending that over to another pharmacy. Charlie To IS NOT an honest pharmacist. In fact I will attach a copy of the phone time (if possible) that I was on hold before and then after talking to him he put me on hold three times without giving me the option to say "sure" before just putting the phone on hold. I'm a person who believes in integrity, professionalism, knowledge and respect. This pharmacy has none of the above. I'm a wife of a Vice President of a multimillion dollar company, we don't treat people that way. If we did, we would not have a Multi million dollar business. That's why I'm taking my business elsewhere from CVS and I will make sure that other people know this through Yelp, our community, social media and and others. This was not to bring CVS down it was in hopes that CVS can change their ways and to be better. You need to listen and you need to hear what people have to say. We don't like to do business with people like you. Honesty, integrity and proficiency are needed in a pharmacy and especially professional phone skills. You need to make some changes to the CVS Renton, WA pharmacy starting with Charles To. If you need confirmation by my doctor my doctors name is Dr. James L Edwards and you filled a minimum of 100 prescriptions refills from him for my husband and my children in the last few years. Not any longer!! Yelp friends....Go somewhere else, even if it's Costco. Target pharmacy is owned by CVS so I won't patronize them either. That's why we have yelp is to help others!! We are in town visiting from Georgia. I went online and scheduled a Minute Clinic visit for my 17 YU son who was showing signs of strep. I made a 10:50 am appt, drove the hour to this clinic, showed them my Confirmation code 15 mins before the appt but they could not find it in their system. But instead of trying to work me in, or even apologize they said "well you can reschedule for later today." So while I was there in the store I scheduled again for 2:50. This time we were late by 12 mins due to a traffic accident. But they had already cancelled my appt. We walked in, no one was waiting, no one was in any of the 3 patient rooms and both medics working were just talking. I told them I was late and showed them again my conformation code, I explained we were from out of town, visiting. They didn't seem to care, never said "oh I am so sorry let's try to work you in" I was just told you can reschedule tomorrow. I told them I had been over there twice already, driven an hour each time to get there but they were unconcerned, did not try to help in anyway, basically told me I was SOL. The WORST customer care, and this is a serious issue as my son is very sick and probably needed antibiotics. There was no reason they could not have quickly seen him, we stayed an extra 20 mins in the store buying some OTC meds to try and get him better and no one else came into the clinic while we were there. They had plenty of time to see us, even though we were at fault the second time and late. But they knew I had already been there earlier. DON"T GO TO THIS PLACE if you expect care or concern. read more

This pharmacy has always been a sh*t show but now with the new Pharmacist, Sophie, it is by far the most impersonal I've ever been treated. She didn't even bother to look at the computer and ask me what was going on when I asked for her help. She was extremely rude and yelled at me. When I tried to explain again to her what was going on she even had the audacity to pull the phone away from her ear (in the drive threw) to completely ignore me. She was the most incompetent and rude pharmacist I've ever encountered. She should honestly be fired immediately. If I ever have to see her or be treated with such disrespect I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau because someone like that does not deserve to be a pharmacist nor should she be allowed to interact with customers let alone their medications. She has no class, dignity, or respect. I wouldn't trust that woman with my life. read more

This place has been a disaster over the last two months. My wife has been on birth control since December of 2017. CVS had a program to refill the prescription without calling a doctor to prescribe it. However, when she went to go fill it, they notified her (when she ran out), they discontinued providing this service. We went to the doctor to get her medication prescribed, granted, the side effects of going off of this medication are painful for my wife's stomach, which was angering to both her and I. How could a major company, and location, be so irresponsible? The doctor my wife saw prescribed the birth control, and when we returned to this location, they were out of stock. We had to drive to the next closest location to receive the medication, which was very frustrating. Flash forward one month later. My wife needed a refill on birth control, and they were still out of stock. To add insult to injury, no location within twenty miles had this product. My question is; why did CVS not tell us this? Also, why did they not communicate that they canceled their birth control program to begin with? This shows a complete lack of responsibility, and limits a woman's right to birth control. Not only that, but my wife experienced negative side effects for the entire month, and this is honestly CVS' fault. The lack of communication is completely unacceptable from a business that provides medication to their consumers. The manager offered us a similar product, but did not even bother to listen to my frustration on this. Switching pharmacies. read more

I scheduled a COVID test for this location. I put all of my information online per their request. I got to my test early and it took them over 20 minutes to get through the process. Go to Walgreens for a COVID test, the process is much better. read more

I heard from a friend who is a nurse that this is her fave pharmacy. I thought I would check it out and try it out since her opinion was pretty high on my scale. The store in general is large, spacious and clean. The pharmacy is all the way to the back. They have 3 lines separated by partitions. I have to say watching the employees while I was waiting, it looked like a well oiled machine. The tech came up and I expressed that I had not been to this pharmacy before and handed her all of my information. I also said that I was talking funny as I just came from the dentist and she offered for me to sit down and she would bring all my items to me when I was done. (How nice!) She did as she said and it was ready is less than 5 mins. I paid and then got a consultation. I was really happy with the service and the techs at this pharmacy. read more

This CVS needs more employees literally only two at the register my extra care bucks weren't scanning and needed to remove some items from self check out I told her that I used a manufacture coupon that went with this purchase but she didn't want to remove the items I didn't need one by one and instead canceled my order so I lost my MF coupon. This store has nothing marked down they had all their deals on a newspaper but not on the shelf's so it was hard to know which specific products were part of the promotion or discount. read more

I have on two occasions, most recent last month, told the pharmacy to NOT bundle our medications into 3 month packages. As seniors on a fixed income it is too much of a cash outlay for 90 days worth of each medicine. Today my husband picked up the medicine and each item had 90 days worth. $500 plus. The slowest and most impersonal staff I've ever dealt with. I have sat in line several times inside and at the drive through for over 30 minutes ALONE literally no one else in line after driving all the way to cvs to be told my prescription, that is usually sent and received the day before, isn't filled. I'm glad I'm not old and absolutely need my medication now because I'd be screwed. I've never ever had to wait this long for any prescription to be filled anywhere. Usually 45 min and done but not this place you have to wait a full day or longer and most of the time when you show up it still isn't filled and they try to make you wait 15 minutes.... if it takes 15 minutes why are people waiting days for fills and sitting in line for a long time to get told nothing has been done to help them. I'm switching pharmacy's and will not be back. I came the last 2 days in a row for my prenatal vitamins and keep getting told that it's not ready. read more

Shea was great and handled the line of customers with grace. I ordered the prints because of the t-mobile free prints promotion. We had two accounts and so we ordered 20 prints. One set came out completely blurry and one set was perfectly fine, so I know it's definitely not the quality of my pictures. She said the bad prints might have been due to Kodak and wanted me to call to give them feedback. I asked to speak to a manager, and the store manager in training just said "oh since it's free, we are not able to do anything. The photo machine was broke because of the promotion." I asked to have a call back from the store manager and left my cell phone information. I'm very disappointed at how the situation was handled, and this experience definitely isn't a pleasant experience for any first time/potential customer. Waited for four days, no follow up calls at all. Not worth my time since the quality of the prints were poor compared to Bartell Drugs and Amazon. read more

This place sucks avoid it if you can possibly get your prescription somewhere else. I have gone here repeatedly because it is close to my house but they always suck they have messed up my prescriptions their customer service is terrible they filled the wrong prescription and refuse to take responsibility for it. Another time they misspelled my name and messed up my entire prescription profile because they didn't read the prescription closely enough. I hope somebody does something about it before this pharmacy kills somebody. read more

My first impressions of this CVS location are very positive. I grew up in New England, where CVS was by far the biggest drugstore chain, and I always found them pricey, cluttered, and just not the greatest (for shopping, anyway, I'm sure they are fine for prescriptions). Since this is the first CVS in WA State, and it happens to be right down the street from my house, I have been watching them build it for quite a while. The other night I finally got a chance to stop in. It's very large, for one thing. There is plenty of space to walk around...not cluttered at all! And the aisles are organized into "pods" for lack of a better word, rather than the traditional way. I can't say whether I like the pod style better or the traditional aisles, but everything was pretty much easy to find. Also, the prices weren't that bad. I would put them the same or just a bit higher than Walgreens and Rite Aid, but definitely lower than Bartells. And they have a rewards program that really rocks. I purchased about $25 worth of health products, signed up for the rewards program, and got back coupons that added up to $5, that I could spend on anything in the store. It was so great; my daughter and I came back later that evening and each got a basically free $2.50 lip gloss! And for that, we got another coupon that was good for $2 off any CVS brand product. Lastly, the customer service was really good. Every staff person that I encountered was friendly and helpful. I can't say yet if the coupons are going to continue to be this great, or if it just because they are new, but so far I really like this CVS! read more

I was in need of a rapid covid test in which they had in stock. I called this location around 11 am and they had a couple and I was told they would hold one under my name until I got there. I got there barely even an hour later and was informed by an employee that the manager went ahead and had sold all the rapid covid tests that were being held. This store is a disorganized mess. Not only is it hard to find anything, but they'll probably sell you expired stuff. Just bought cold medicine for my kid to discover it expired 9 months ago.
