Today upon picking up a routine medication, I was told by a female pharmacist "I could check in there," without a smile but rather a nod to a screen. There was another female pharmacy tech standing right by the screen who did not greet me. She then stood infront of me without a word and waited for me to answer a list of prompts to "check-in" I would have once considered her job- full name, date of birth, phone number, questions on whether I'd like to be vaccinated. I told her the screen was impersonal, and she quipped back with, "Well, I like it!" Then continued to tell me about how she oftentimes gets screamed at without even being greeted by the customer, which is her job, mind you. It felt highly unprofessional and a role reversal of sorts. She is getting paid to serve me as a customer who is about to pay her hundreds of dollars for a medication, not the other way around. Feedback for the pharmacy- I'm not exactly certain why I'm imputing all of the information into a system on my end now and what the tech's role is other than to hand me my prescription. There was no line, no high guest traffic, etc. For a high paying career, where is the decency of human interaction? I felt so slighted I didn't even make eye contact before grabbing my prescription from what I believe to be an overpaid hand and walking away. I would rather go to a pharmacy where someone was kind and personable to me even if it was an inconvenience in location.

The reason for this review is that this location is somewhat unique because they have liquor for sale. I spoke with the owners wife, she was extremely pleasant. They own the new location at Rochester and Wattles in the old blockbuster space as well. It seems pretty standard regarding everything else except they have a turbo chef type oven like Subway uses to toast subs, so they're able to make food items on the spot such as mini corn dog bites and hash brown bites. I'm not sure if other seven Elevens carry ice but they do here inside. The co-owner let me know if there's anything they don't carry that you like to see let them know. They combined with liquor and a very clean modern look inside made it worth my time to Yelp a 7-Eleven.

There are a few downsides to coming here though. The gas prices tend to be slightly higher then the other gas stations around. I don't know why that is. Also, the parking here can be a bit tight, regardless if you are at a pump or in a regular parking space. On top of that, this is located at a busier intersection of Rochester Road and Tienkin, so getting in and out during rush hour is difficult. I do come here when I am over at this corner, but not usually for gas. It is convenient though and always clean and well staffed.

This is more than a gas station. They do have lots of pumps and there's an air/vacuum time for your car that take quarters or credit cards. You get I think 3 minutes of air or vacuum time for $0.75. I never have change so if I need this service being able to use a CC is awesome. Brightly lit at night too and they always have working/new squeegees for your windshields. This is a major plus in my world! The inside has all the liquor that exists in Michigan I swear. Lots of beer and wine too They really do have everything. There's also bagels, donuts, all kinds of different coffee's-everything. It's not like a regular quick stop-it's something else. I don't smoke but I noticed they have a large humidor and all kinds of ecigs, vape stuff and cigarettes also. (All along nearby Starr Batt and Avon industrial Drive are businesses with large fleets filling up, especially the landscaping trucks throughout grass mowing season - morning, lunchtime and end of day. No problem. BUT it's VERY busy. so it is completely BEWILDERING to me that this owner continues to neglect the customer experience by not Keeping the pumps in prime operating condition! They are too often out of service, and at this point, 90% of the time, the receipt will not print so I have to go inside (even during the peak of Covid) and stand in line to get my receipt! WHY? I've spoken to the cashiers, but they say the owner is aware and that it's not about just refilling the paper rolls - The machines are broken. Obviously he just doesn't care that he is holding up the process and inconveniencing his customers. This has been going on easily for the past year or two, and it's gotten worse. Today's machine would not read my card. So, after years of tolerating the inconvenience (below freezing today...) I gave up and drove down the street to the BP. Fine, so what if it cost $.50 more to fill up my tank, I don't have to wait and I don't have to go inside to get my receipt. these small conveniences make a difference in the flow of your day, stopping to fill up your tank... i've been patient. I stopped in here to quench my thirst for a Slurpee since it's a 7-Eleven. A very busy store but the 3 employees at the registers were great assisting people coming and going on a hot day. The gas station was pretty busy also with 8 vehicles at the gas pumps being used out of 12. They have a ice cooler machine that stores bags of ice. I saw a family buying a few bags for their coolers to take on a Sunday trip. Happy employees assisting customers with pop, other beverage drinks, slurpees. At counter area I saw 2 Pizzas warming in an area, along with 2 types of *dogs* on the rolling thing machine :) You name it / this is a NICE 7-Eleven, 7-11.. very clean, organized, stacked newspapers, cigarettes, cigars, candy, snacks, donuts, hot or cold coffee and many other last-minute necessities like a typical 7-Eleven store. I definitely agree that this 7-Eleven location really showed better quality and customer service than the one around my neighborhood on 21 at Garfield Rd. Wish I could have read the names off of the employees shirts to compliment them. The 3 lines were moving too fast. I only took a few pictures because it was such a busy time of day. The flow of people in and out along with great customer service went well and fast to get a person out the door to cool off and be on their way. I hope to be back weekly to try a different Slurpee. They could use a lot more new flavors in here. My 1 COMPLAINT and disatisfaction. I bought a Vernors flavored slurpee.
