I went in to get 2 new tires at 9 am on May 4th 2025. I was told that I needed an appointment so I set one at 3 pm. So I come back at 3pm that day, At 5 pm I get a notice that my appointment is canceled!! Joel at the front desk said my lug nuts were too hard to get off so the tech canceled the appointment. When I get back into my jeep , the car smelled of marijuana. The service tech Emmanuel M, must have just smoked one before he got into my car. So not only did I not get my service done after 3 hours, I had to smell the reek of pot. So disappointed. Reminds me of the song by Afroman- I was going to work , but then I got High. I could t pick up u til after 6:00 so I was a little bummed but I needed all the stuff in the order to clean a house after a tenant moved out Got the message it was ready and headed out in the snow Got there about 6:10, waited until 6:44pm for them to bring it out. I'm not a regular shopper at Walmart Supercenter because I mostly find what I need at Costco and Meijer which are both closer for me. But when my prescription drug insurance switched to the Walmart Pharmacy as their preferred store, I started using it. Mostly I use the drive up Pharmacy but there have been a couple of times where I needed to go inside. While I was waiting for my prescription to be filled, I wandered around to check out the store, at least near the pharmacy. Contrary to my preconceived expectations about Walmart, also based on actual visits to older stores many years ago, this store was clean and neatly laid out with wider aisles than I anticipated. I asked an employee to point me towards kitchen items and I actually did find some non-stick mini muffin tins by Wilton, a good brand imo, at a very reasonable price so I bought them. Bought 4 new tires from Rochester Walmart. 60 days later I went back to have them balanced due to a terrible shake/shimmy. They told me I had suspension issues, put the dangerois tires that were down to the wires on the back and sent me home. Another Walmart pointed out that they were installed inside out (outside of tire legibly said inside). They didn't replace the valve stems and stacked balance weights on top of each otjer. 2 O'Clock in the afternoon four days before Christmas and walmart has all of 3 registers open with lines going through the men's department. ONE of the registers said 20 items or less, yet most had full shopping carts. I was there for ONE THING, a cane. I am an amputee and have recently begun walking on a prosthetic. I have been cleared to use a cane for balance and naturally, thought of walmart for price. I stood in line for 25 minutes. Someone finally opened another line, but took the people who had been in the line the least amount of time while leaving the rest of us. Here is where I say that I understand that COVID has things messed up and service isn't going to be premium. But what happens next is bad even for walmart. When I finally got to the register, before he could even say hello, the cashier (who was also a manager) walked away from the register to go do something for someone else. Upon returning, he greeted me and asked how I was. I remarked about the wait and how several people had gone through the express lane with more than the limit in their carts. That is not fair to those of us who specifically get in that line so as to not be in the store forever. I told him that things like that were the reason I really hate going to that store. He looked me square in the eye and said, "There's a Meijer right down the street. You don't have to come here!" I dont know if store manager Jeff Lombardo was there or not. No one seemed to know anything. I did get his name from the customer service desk. This store should be closed down OR they need to find proper management. This is ridiculous!!!! I dont expect to hear from anyone from walmart, as they dont care if their customers are unhappy because they know most of us are far too stupid to just quit going there. On another note, i generally order from walmart.com. Honestly, if IF you are going to deal with walmart at all, online is the best way to go for sure. I have NEVER had a problem with walmart online. The Fresh Prince never comes here. He goes to Willmart. Pretty typical Walmart that can be pretty hard to get in and out of when it's busy. It's up in the nice part of town so it's a little bit nicer than some of the other Walmarts in the area and I was able to find almost everything that I needed when I came here for shopping during my summer trip for a couple of weeks to Rochester Hills. Barbie's view on these stores in general: More like Allmart. You can find all you need here. Blanket? Check. Yarn? Check. Windshield wipers? Check. Bananas? Check. Shampoo? Check. Walmart is an evil corporation, but they do have the best prices on most of the stuff you need. It's great that they're adding more vegetarian and plant-based products. If I could give a negative review I would. I downloaded Yelp specifically to leave a review for this store. There was a line 20 customers long, and it took an hour and 12 mins to get to the register. (I timed it). 2 lanes open out of 20, and workers were screwing around in the back. Management needs to clean house here or add workers. Why is this Walmart even open. No one is ever at the registers, and those who are at the registers have a bigger attitude than judge Judy. On top of that the self-scan line is always wrapped around the entire store. At this point there is a total of 15+ registers but 2-4 are ever open at a time.... The bakery is an absolute joke. I go in for a cake that they've already made. All I want is a simple name on it stating happy birthday Melanie. She has me right down the name and hands me a cake that has "happy birthday melody". So I correct her and she's like "oh I'll fix it". She tells me to pick another cake and I did so at this point we are on cake number 2. I specifically tell her that I only wanted a marble cake right before she begins writing on both cakes but halfway through the second cake she realizes it's actually a chocolate cake. So she then tells me to pick a third cake. That is when a boss/supervisor walks over and sees what's going on and that she's used two cakes already. They begin bickering and I tell them they can forget about the cake because at this point I don't even want it. This location is open 24/7 however if you press your luck and try to come during 11pm-5am while they're stocking good luck maneuvering throughout the isles. The employees mean mug you as if you're in their way, meanwhile they have boxes and carts scattered throughout the isles preventing you from even moving around without saying "excuse me sir/man" every 5 minutes. Whomever is managing this location needs to fix it and fix it fast or shut it down! read more

clearly, all walmarts are not created equal. i used to only go to walmart out of desperation or bc there was a big enough sale on something i couldn't find anywhere else. between my own experiences and the memes online, my opinion of walmart was pretty low. i didn't like the store, the employees or the customers. hated the parking lot. hated the font in their logo. just loathed everything about it. but one day, i had to go into this particular walmart and i've had to rethink my overall perception of this chain. not only are the aisles relatively neat (could be better) but they're well-stocked. employees are helpful. customers are fully clothed and have all their teeth. and they're open 24 hours! i was pleasantly surprised. so why not 5 stars? bc it's still walmart, not target. that's why. read more

They don't have option of giving ZERO STAR, otherwise I would do so. I ordered 3 remote control cars online recently not knowing that it was a third party prudent. I paid $10.59 for each cars, not including tax & shipping was free because I ordered more items. Those 3 cars came in one package. The quality of the car was so cheap that I went to this store to return because no way I would spend even $1 on that quality. JENNIFER, who was working at the service desk, has no idea about customer service! Paying $10.59 for each car, you know how much JENNIFER gave me refund? $3.47 for each car!! & her service is so crappy that she didn't even say a single word why I would get $3.47 for each car. When she did the return for the first car & I saw the amount, I said wait, can you please explain why I'm not getting full amount? I'm giving this Walmart all 5 stars based on the grocery pick up service. It was the most pleasant pick up service i have ever had. I can't remember our ladies name, but she was soooo sweet and friendly! She noticed it was our first time using the pick up service and told us more about it and how they also offer delivery. We live about 20 mins away so that's not an option for us, but pick up is free and saves me a ton of time so I'm all about it. We had forgotten a couple things so we ran in before picking up and the store was clean and employees were friendly. Had to wait in line for 2 mins but overall an average Walmart experience in-store. read more

Other than bad experiences maybe in the toy department or defective products or a standoff with an employee, it shouldn't speak bad of Walmart as a brand. Compared to the Meijers and Krogers on average, their prices are amazingly cheap. Lots of products from groceries to clothing that are well under competitor's prices. In some circumstances, yes you can better quality elsewhere but ripping Walmart cause of single bad product or employee relationship shouldn't be on the store in question as much as the brand. My uncle and I used to frequent this Walmart and now we remember why we stopped going here. They are terrible at stocking their shelves. Always out of something we really need or want. They only have 3 registers open so it takes forever to check out. The lady checking us out today was extremely rude! She refused to ring up my uncle's groceries and literally yelled at him "I'm not doing 3 orders, I'm only doing 2!" What? There were like five other customers behind us. He only had 2 orders and they were separate from mine! He was not holding anyone up! He did not deserve to be treated that way! He walked out without his groceries and went somewhere else. We like doing our grocery shopping at Walmart but this location falls flat. Such a shame, because it is the closest one to us. Next time we want to shop at Walmart, we will go to a different one. I have been here twice since this pandemic and have found that their employees are very racist!!! I'm at the self checkout purchasing some White Claw. The young lady comes and checks my ID. Remind everyone I'm 30 years old. The lady proceeds to ask my sister for her ID because she is with me while I'm purchasing alcohol. I have never heard of such a thing and there is NO law about this. For a Walmart, this place isn't to bad. The place is clean, but the lines are long as all the other Walmarts are in the world. I've been to my fair share of Walmarts in my life, and trust me, this is actually a really decent location. At times, it can get a bit crazy in here with long lines and crazy customers, but that's with most super center big box stores that I have found over time. Walmart's no exception. I do like shopping here, and I get most of my stockable items here from cat food to deodorant and a few other random items for around the house as well. As with all Walmarts, lines are painful and long. read more

The employees in ALL positions are extremely rude, very incompetent in their duties, and obviously do not want to do any work or help a customer but sure want their paycheck and "equal pay" for not doing anything. So I guess that would be $0.00 per hour. They will walk away from a line that has over 50 customers in it because it is time for their break. They must get a 50 minute break for every hour they are there. I refuse to go into that store. I almost had a heart attach (for real) in their parking lot the last time I was there because I was so upset. I like some of the products they carry but you can't find it in their messy store. And try to find an employee who isn't on their 50 minute break to help you!!! If you happen to find an employee who is working their 10 minutes per hour they can't help you anyway because they have no clue what to do. Stay healthy and shop a different establishment. read more

There is a reason I still go to Amazon verses Walmart. They tried to charge me a merchandise fee. They told me it was for hazardous materials and wastes they lied. A merchandise fee is charged when goods are exported and have to go through customs, considering my purchase was domestic this doesn't apply and no other company that I know of charges it. They gave me a 15 dollars discount so that part ended up being good and I though wow that's is cool. My shipment was supposed to be next day, however it didn't get here until three days later All was good except for my bags of popcorn, one popped open and there was popcorn everywhere. The rest of the bags were smashed. They packed a 24 pack of sparkling water in the same box with no padding. Absolutely STUPID! They may have been a few bucks cheaper with their skinny pop popcorn but I would gladly pay a tad bit higher to deal with Amazon in which I never had any shipment issues! or bogus charges. Walmart has a long way to go in their experience both in store and online, they better wake up or they will fail. read more

This Wal-Mart is one of the nicest I've been to. We had a return without a receipt and had no questions asked at customer service. The aisles are big,neat and clean.
