There is an issue with the pharmacy prescription refill. I had an annual appointment Monday, November 11, 2024. My prescription(s) were sent to CVS Pharmacy on Norbeck road in Montgomery County MD. I was not called to pick them up. I then call and spoke with an rude individual named who literally told me, "you need to take a more active role in your healthcare" and "I'll sell you three day's worth". Yes, I was literally told that by a CVS pharmacist. I then had to purchase three days worth of my medicine out of my own pocket. read more

This CVS is in a strip mall with Safeway. The store was mostly empty of customers, was well organized, and was fully stocked so I appreciated that they keep their inventory full. There's even a dedicated grab and go area for quick bites, snacks, and meals. I was surprised to see that nothing was on sale at this location, which is peculiar for CVS. I needed to buy a few things including a new iPhone charger, I had no checkout line to contend with, and the cashier was friendly and helpful. I would come back here. read more

Excellent service at the pharmacy. We made an appointment for our flu shots at 12:00 noon. Though there was a slight mix up, we were still taken care of. I had checked in online while waiting in the store but wasn't sure whether they needed anything else, so I also tried to check in at the counter. The person at the counter couldn't find my name not realizing I had already checked in. There was also some delay for our turn. Even though we made an appointment, there were still people who did walk in. We ended up waiting after two people. But once it was our turn, the pharmacist wiped down the seat. The pharmacist was also very friendly and knowledgeable. He kept everyone moving in an efficient manner and gave us our shots without any problems. The pharmacy department is doing a great job under the circumstances of this pandemic. read more

With quarantine restrictions we are being very cautious. but I needed a few things from CVS and Just to get out and go somewhere a little different from our neighborhood store, we decided to take a ride to the Norbeck CVS. It's much larger than our regular store with a much more extensive beauty and health section. They were really well-stocked with some items that I'd been having trouble finding in the make-up section. But I was surprised that some areas of the store were actually a bit lacking, like the frozen food section. The store is arranged so some items are in aisles scattered through the store and not in with similar items. I looked through the store but could only find a small selection of Christmas/holiday cards, none of which were very appealing. They do have two self-service check-outs, which surprised me. Other CVS' that I've seen have closed down there self-service registers. The store was not particularly crowded but there was a small line as we checked out so the self-service was nice to help keep the line moving. It was nice just to have a brief change of scenery even if I wasn't able to cross everything off of my list. read more

I have been to this pharmacy on three separate occasions. I vow never to come back after each visit but it is on my way to work so I keep trying to give them another chance. Every visit is met with a rude and unhelpful pharmacy assistant. I have been made to wait 90 minutes when I am told it would only be 15 minutes. I've been told I wasn't insured after waiting an hour for my medication because someone incorrectly entered the information I gave them. Today was no exception. I was told that it would be "no problem" in the drop-off area after she entered my prescription information. I came back an hour later to be told that they had run out of that medication. It must've been too much to ask to get a phone call.... I went to another CVS to wait another 90 minutes because this CVS was still holding onto my prescription. All of these things would not have been as annoying if the staff wasn't so rude throughout each interaction. Do not come here if you expect to get your prescription filled. read more

Best staff and service you'll find. I have been using this pharmacy for over 13 years. I have frequented other cvs pharmacies due to location and urgency and I must say to they all make me appreciate the CVS at Norbeck so much more. I have seen staff come and go. I miss them all. The service is incredible. They each go above and beyond the call of duty. They should all receive a Purple Heart for their patience, and congeniality in battle. I have seen staff with eyes watering being abused by customers and still maintain their composure and professionalism..(Don't think I haven't spoken up during the incident and verbally slap the abuser on the back of the hand) Please consider that the staff there too have had a "bad" day. The pharmacist "Hee" is the definition of godliness; the staff disciples. Kadishia, Vanisha, Joel, are all amazing. I have never heard an "eye roll" when confronted with the same crap "What ? My insurance should have paid more for this!". The staff are not your insurance representatives, nor your employee benefit co-coordinators. . Call YOUR insurance company. FYI have your CVS rewards card ready have your ID ready there are signs above each Isle listing products in that Isle. make a shopping list if picking up additional items I do not need to hear your loud obnoxious telephone conversations, consider calling your Mother when you leave the store. read more

The store is fine but the pharmacy is terrible and has been terrible for years... when it comes to customer service. The pharmacists and the employees behind the counter are usually rude. I have watched them treat elderly customers in a condescending manner rather than try and be helpful. I stopped using them for my family but still go there to pick up prescriptions for my mother. It hasn't changed... always rude, never helpful. read more

This is the CVS pharmacy we use on a regular basis. They do a great job special ordering my daughter's medicines and are always very friendly and kind to my kids. My daughter loves coming to pick her her medicines, especially when she gets to see Erica, Angie and Maria. read more

Please never ever go to this CVS. Their employees are very unprofessional, rude, uncouth, and presumptuous. I have never been so disrespected in a retail environment in my life. The employee named Tanya was horrible! I was in the store with my brother before closing. Around 10:57pm, Ms. Tanya walked down the aisle next to us and said while walking past, "We are closed" without even stopping. My brother said to her, "We were in the store before it closed". She said oh well I am closing the last register now. Mind you, we were all of 10 steps from the register to check out. I told my brother to put the items we were going to buy down and that we are not buying anything from that store and we headed to the exit. The front door was locked so we stood at the door for about 30 seconds or so and my brother could see her through the glass rolling her eyes at us. Finally, another associate came and unlocked the door for us. She was basically yelling through the glass, "Is there a problem?". My brother went back to her and kindly said that he was just wondering why she was rolling her eyes at us and she responded that she, "saw us standing there and wondered what we were waiting for". I was in awe. When my brother told her that he did not appreciate the way that she spoke to us in the aisle, she responded and said that she basically did not like that he told her that we were in the store before closing. I asked her and the other associate for the General Manager's name and contact information over and over again and they refused. When I asked her again, she all of a sudden had amnesia and could not remember her General Manager's name. Then she asked me if I meant her Store Manager. I responded and told her know, I meant what I asked for, your General Manager. She told me a man's name that was the Store Manager. I asked would he be in tomorrow and she said yes. Then as we were walking out, I was explaining what happened to the other associate. I could here her YELLING for the other associate to stop talking to me. FYI, by the time I walked back to my car it was 10:01pm. You cannot tell me that we were not ready to check out by closing at 10:00. I will be coming back to this store tomorrow morning to file a complaint with the Store Manager and General Manager. I will also file a complaint. To the Management Team of this store, ,Ms. Tanya has cost you a lot of money. My friends and whole family lives in the Rockville area and used to shop at this location, but not anymore. All Ms. Tanya had to say to us was, "Good evening. We made an announcement a few minutes ago that we were closing. Do you have some items you would like me to ring up for you?". Horrible customer service. The technician lied to me when I asked her to check if other pharmacies carried my prescription. She pretended to type something in and quickly said, no, no one has it. I insisted on speaking with the pharmacist who told me that their system was down and they would actually have to call the pharmacies. The technician made no apology for lying to me and just went about her business. I called one rite aid and they checked for me and told me where to go. I then went back to the cvs technician to tell her the fax number so she could transfer over the rx. She told me she needed to talk to them directly after I already hung up the phone. I was livid at this point. She ended up calling them and asked for their fax number. Omg!!!! Meanwhile, I had my 3 year old son with me who was running a fever and was too weak to even stand up. Yet that didn't phase the technician. I observed her attitude with other customers and it was the same as what I experienced. Not customer oriented, looked like she didn't want to be there, dismissive and she even rolled her eyes as she was talking to a customer because he wasn't speaking fast enough for her. Cvs is going to lose business if it keeps staff like this. I have to say that the pharmacist seemed knowledgeable but had no authority over the staff. I feel like the customer service, particularly in the pharmacy, has improved a lot in the past 6 months or so. Recently, anytime I have had an issue or delay with my prescription, they have given me a call to let me know and make sure it was okay. I haven't had any problem with refills lately, whereas before I felt like every prescription I filled there had some problem. They have hired some much nicer staff to ring people up at the pharmacy counter. read more

HORRIBLE - they will fill your medicine with generic even if your Dr. requires brand name. When you catch them, they act like it's not their fault and make you wait in line all over again to submit your order. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

On Saturday, February 25, 2017, I went in looking for several items, but in particular, I was most interested in a specific eye drops that my co-worker had recommended. I walked around the store looking for and picking up a couple of things before walking over to the eye drop section. When I got there, I knelt down to read the brands and labels, spending several minutes looking over the packages. I also noticed that there were ear plugs right next to the eye drops and I looked at a box and put it back, deciding I didn't want it after all. I then continued to look one last time to make sure I wasn't missing the eye drops that were recommended before deciding to head over the the pharmacy to ask if maybe it was prescription and thus the reason I couldn't find them. On the other side of the eye drops, there was a display of Amope foot files and I noticed that they made "extra coarse" files. And since I already own an Amope foot file, I was looking for the refill. It was at this time that an employee came up to me and asked me if I needed assistance, which at first I thought was nice of her to ask. I mentioned to her that I was looking for a specific eye drop. She said the eye drops weren't there (I was standing in front of the Amope foot files). I pointed and said that the eye drops are there, but that the one I needed didn't seem to be available over-the-counter and I was going to ask the pharmacy (it turns out they are prescription). Then I added that I got distracted and wanted to see if Amope carried "extra coarse" refills. She said to me, very sarcastically, "Maybe you should ask the pharmacy for that too?" I found that an odd thing to say and the way she said it made me feels as though I was lying or making the whole thing up and she was suspicious of me for some reason or another. I didn't appreciate that at all and felt disrespected. Primarily because I'm a frequent costumer to that store, but also because I was there with my son, who happened to be in his cub scout's uniform. This morning I called the store to try to get information to file a complaint. The person that answered refused to give me the name to the store manager and instead transferred me to the shift supervisor. When I asked her for the store manager's name, she hesitated to give me a name and instead asked for the reason for my call. I explained to her that I was simply trying to get the name of the store manager. She finally gave me the name. I then asked for the name of the district manager. She once again hesitated and and asked again if I could tell her the reason for my call. I just wanted names. She then gave me a name of the district manager, which I later found out happened to be the wrong name. Finally, I asked for the CVS corporate number, which she hesitated and then rudely gave me the number. I thanked her, hung up, and filed a complaint with the corporate office. I understand that people pilfer and should be a concern for store employees and managers, but people shouldn't be made to feel guilty when they are simply trying to read labels and take their time looking. Needless to say, there are plenty of CVS stores around and I won't have a need to visit this one in the future. read more
