We switched my grandmas prescriptions from walgreens to here, and so far so good. We always had issues over there, they would outright misplace her prescription and then claim it had been picked up causing hours of stress, panic, and frustration. This pharmacy is an absolute disaster specifically the disgusting attitude from the pharmacy manager, ALEX. She intentionally upheld a prescription from a transfer from another CVS (Oak Park). Not only is this not CVS policy but ALEX did this on her own prerogative (found that out from my previous pharmacist) and then had the nerve to say "It takes a couple of days, don't hold your breath". Dealt with another person also named ALEX who talked to me like I was some sort of drug addict for a psychiatric medicine that I've had for years at CVS Under no circumstances should you ever go to this store and use their pharmacy. I believe the only recourse here will be filing a lawsuit for discrimination. I politely told ALEX I would be writing this kind of review and her response was: "DO WHATEVER, I DONT CARE" ALEX doesn't seem to understand or care that people can, and will, die from her mistreatment. read more

So I recently moved 0.4 miles away from this CVS and as a previous Walgreen's snob, i was dejected and swore to only go in if absolutely necessary. I reluctantly signed up for a CVS Extracare card and switched my one prescription over. Well 4 months later, I end up here more than I care to admit! It is a perfect place to run for that one ingredient you forgot at the grocery store, the bottle of wine that you need on Friday night or, as in the case this morning, milk for the baby to drink. 9/10 times they have had what I was looking for. (They don't have tortilla shells... an assortment of other bread products but no tortillas.) I docked a star because sometimes cleanliness is an issue in this store and oh my Lawd, those receipts are the definition of deforestation. The employees are always friendly, helpful and attentive. And I roll in at maximum neediness, crying baby, hungover, stressed out, in my pajamas, etc. I haven't had any dealings with the pharmacy yet but I will later today. Was over charged for a medication. I thought this was odd that it was more expensive but purchased anyway which was a mistake. When I later went back to pick up another medication it was even more expensive, and I refused to pay that much. I questioned them why it was so expensive and the woman working in the pharmacy said that's what the price was with my insurance. I later called my insurance to see why the price went up so much. They said CVS didn't file any claims with my insurance for either medication. I was very upset and called them to find out what happened. The gentlemen I talked to at the pharmacy said that he had another insurance on file for me. I've had the same insurance for years and have never changed it. I had to give him all my insurance information all over again. I asked him if I could get a partial refund since I was overcharged. He said he was only able to give me a refund if it was two weeks after I had purchased the medication. I became more upset and said it didn't seem right that they had over charged me, and they wouldn't give me a partial refund. He again told me he wouldn't issue me a refund. I asked to talk to a manager, and he said she won't give you a refund either and put me on hold. The manager told me the same thing and refused to give me a partial refund. I then asked for a store credit which she reluctantly agreed to but told me I must always question them if the price isn't right in the future before purchasing it like it was all my fault. I didn't get an apology and I don't feel like I needed to fight with them to get a store credit which just should have been offered if they couldn't issue me a partial refund since it was their error to begin with. That's just horrible customer service. I've been a customer there for years and now after this experience I'm never going back. I'm having all my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy. read more

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I went today for my booster shot. I was rudely acknowledged at the pharmacy by the pharmacytech, Cindy. She told me, go to that window and they'll check you in. Pharmacist, Angela came up and asked for my name and card. Then she practically yelled at me cause my card didn't have my birthday filled out. I told her I dunno why isn't wasn't and that I didn't fill out my card. She then told me to wait behind the blue curtain and have my arm ready. I pointed and said over there? She said BEHIND THE BLUE CURTAIN AND HAVE YOUR ARM READY! I'm newer to the area and have never been to this CVS, how the f would I know where to go?! She said i needed to wait 15 min after my booster to make sure I didn't have any reactions and just 8 min later she told me I could leave. I also witnessed her being extremely rude to the customer who had an appt after me and her and the pharmacy tech being rude to customers inquiring about covid home tests. I will be calling to speak with her manager tomorrow. I'm only trying to do the right thing and get vaccinated to be able to visit my mom in a rehabilitation facility. I didn't need to be treated like an asshole!!!! Screw this pharmacy and their entire staff! Shame on all of you and learn some God damn manners! read more

I've been coming to this CVS for over 10yrs now and it's my favorite pharmacy in the area. Between sale items and rewards, it's definitely my Go-To store. I'm very shocked at all the bad reviews especially in regards customer service. I've never ever had an issue with service. Now I will say that the past year or so new employees were hired and it seems they do not know how to handle the line that forms when 1 customer wants to do multiple transactions with coupons, etc... that really needs to be controlled by the staff and a maximum should be put in force. Other than that, the staff has always been welcoming and they always greet everyone. read more

OK.. So Today I went thru the Pharmacy Drive Thru to pick up my dog's seizure medicine. The pharmacy tech got the info, came back and said $45 aprox. She opened the slide drawer, I put my credit card and a Good RX coupon for the medicine for $ 23 aprox. She sent my card back in the drawer and told me she had to rebill the script due to the coupon. Said it would take a few minutes... I said ok , No problem. After a minute she returns and tells me I need to circle around so they can help the car that just pulled up behind me...*** I then moved forward and started to go around to get back in line, and stopped and parked *** I was thinking why do I have to move out of line for a few minute wait. I had to wait over a minute to just get help originally *** So now I go in to get the script. A different person helps me, they had to do this or that, it took another minute...no big deal...I made a comment upon completion, Why did I have to get out of line, to circle around, instead of waiting my turn for the 3 minutes. ** He explained, because we had to rebill it ***....I walked away... on my way to the front door in utter shock...no big deal for me to wait, but to make me get out of line over a few minute fix, is my issue. I was there first and should be assisted in that manner... I was about to walk out, maybe I should have, I saw 3 employees huddled up down by the photo area... I had to approach them.... I asked who is the store manager? 2 girls point to the guy in the middle... I explained to him my concern and issue. Wow..should have walked out instead.. He said ok, never apologized, or said any encouraging words of wisdom....stood there like a zombie. I am a customer explaining my frustration and he didn't care one bit......what kind of people are in charge? maybe that is why Walgreens is kicking your CVS behind.... read more

I have to wait an extraordinarily long time every time I use this pharmacy. I needed 800mg of ibuprofen & amoxicillin which are super common meds & waited over 3 1/2 hours for the prescription to be filled. It's just too long when you are in pain. Boo on this review. read more

This location is the worst pharmacy I've ever done business with. They promise your prescriptions to be filled in an hour. I'll call 3 hours later having received no update to pick up. They respond with "it'll be another half hour" I wait the half hour and they say "it'll be another 10-15 minutes" this has happened to me 5 times already. The customer service in pharmacy is terrible. I have been filing the same prescriptions for years. I switched to cvs in Lombard about 5 months ago with no problems-until I visited this one!! They refused my prescription even though you can clearly see I fill the same script every month. I drove to the RLB CVS and filled with no problem. They have a real problem with customer service in the pharmacy. We travel a whole lot and use CVS for prescriptions around the country.

What has become of the pharmacy at this location? Have been using this store for the 10 years it has been there. In the past 2 years, service and responsiveness have plummeted. Hours and hours and hours to fill direct transferred prescriptions - and often they are not anywhere near ready when promised over the phone. Call to check on something? Expect to wait 15 minutes for them to pickup. The employees are nice enough, but just waaay understaffed. I've addressed it with the store manager several times, but it gets no better. read more

And unless you liked being ignored, given slow service and being in a store this ghetto I suggest you get your prescriptions filled elsewhere. My husband had a sinus infection and I was looking for sudafed for a good 5 minutes before I realized I had to get it from the pharmacist as I realized te bars started coming down because they were closing i tried to stop it and ask them and their response was it was too late. The assistant manager at this location is very rude when it comes to using coupons. She does not allow certain coupons to be excepted nor does she allow doubling coupons even though other locations do. When you bring it up to her attention that other locations are excepting them together her reply is well were not the other location. I have to give the Round Lake CVS store a 5 star review. I switched here from the Walgreens in Fox Lake due to the horrible customer service they were providing. My prescriptions all transferred over without any issues. They were able to give me 90 day supplies which saved me money. They really won me over when they told me I could get a coupon for one of my really expensive meds. Brought my receipt back with the coupon and was given a $125.00 credit! I had been paying for this prescription so long at the high price and no at Walgreens mentioned coupons. In 5 months I have saved a couple of hundred dollars on prescriptions! Thank you so much! Everyone has been very courteous and I haven't had to wait at all. To think I put up with the garbage from Walgreens because they were so close to me. They even gave me someone else's prescription. The folks behind the counter at the front are rude. They are understaffed, so I wlays have to wait. The pharmacy is even worse. Sometimes it takes DAYS to fill a prescription. I typically get my prescription filled for 3 months. Twice, they filled it for only one month. When I returned, they argued that they gave me the full 3 months. Very frustrating. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever used and after issues with every single prescription I've filled here, I will never come here again. The pharmacy staff is slow but they all pretend to be busy to avoid assisting customers in line. Every time I've been here someone else in line has had an issue with their prescriptions as well. Also the most infuriating issue with this CVS is that I had my daughter's pictures printed (about 200 pictures) and I walk in to see another customer LOOKING through my personal family photos because the photo machine had started printing her pictures while our photos were printing. The staff was nowhere to be seen during this until after I came and checked my photos before leaving. Complete invasion of privacy and totally unacceptable. read more

I have never in my life been to a slower pharmacy. My company started using CVS/CAREMARK for our prescriptions. I have always used Walgreens because there was one 5 minutes from my house. Unfortunately this store is closest to me by about 15 minutes. That I can handle. What drives me absolutely crazy is the fact that I ALWAYS have to wait a minimum of 4 HOURS for my prescription. Once I had my Dr. Fax my medicine over at 10 am and I called at noon to see how much it would be, they told me it wouldn't be ready until 5!.....7 hours! But when I showed up at 5 it wasn't ready. I had to wait another 20 minutes or so. If I had a choice I would go somewhere else but I don't. read more

Unlike most other reviews here, I don't have any complaints. I live in the townhouses nearby, and regularly visit here for odds and ends. My son was recently sick, so I took advantage of their curbside pickup, rather than drag a feverish toddler inside to pick up more Tylenol and Motrin. Waited maybe 5 minutes outside, and the employee who brought my bag out was kind and courteous. Never had an issue with the pharmacy taking too long; they're a pharmacy, they get busy especially at peak hours. I know to expect a wait. The only complaint I have (the reason for one less star) is that on occasion there are long lines at the main register, but that's often due to the customers with multiple coupons or questions. I don't think it's as bad as some of these other reviews make it out to be. read more

A godsend for anyone living at Coventry Glen apartments. When I first moved into an apartment here I was able to walk over to CVS to buy the basic necessities, mainly toilet paper. The staff here tends to be friendly and the store is usually well kept. My only 3 gripes are the limited selection of food, the boxes of incoming stock that tends to be left around, and the slow checkout due to non-English speakers using some food program that limits what they can buy and always results in the checkout line backing up. read more

Worst Pharmacy ever! I was forced to go there because my husbands insurance switched and I have never been treated so badly before anywhere else! First of all, they made me feel like I was bothering them, they didnt have time to assist me. The medicine wasnt ready when it was promised, and the pharmacist was yelling in the background about how everyone needs to wait. ( I only came back when I was told too!) It was asthma medicine for a 2 year old that we have never used before and they didnt ask if I had any questions and just tried to hurry me along. They couldnt figure out how to input my information since it was my first time there, and got really impatient, like I screwed up their routine by becoming a new customer. I recently switched to this pharmacy because it was closer to my new residence, only to realize that was a terrible decision. Very poor service. First of all, if I need a script thats not on file I would expect them to contact the drs office, instead they suggested that i do it. Then you would think to get your script in a timely manner? No. Im constantly calling to see if today is the day i can pick up. Now, im all about patience, but some people cannot wait that long for their meds. I call to get a script switched over and days can go by without a response. Wouldnt you think a courtesy call would be in order. Maybe a sorry sir, we have had no luck in reaching the drs office. It would have worked for me. Then as if that wasnt enough, I decided to grab a few items while im enduring the never ending wait only to be scowled at by the very rude cashier. I had asked him a simple question inquiring about the cvs card and it was a huge inconvience for this special guy who moments before had been spending his time straightning the candy aisle. Sorry to bother you while attending to your candy section. If your job is to much to handle i highly suggest you find another occupation sir. I have spent some time in my career dealing with customer service and by all means i can assure you...You're doing it WRONG! Pharmacy really needs revamping,seems no one knows what to stock or even as far as pharmacies go this dates back to the Frontier days! Even the staff moves at a slower pace,it's really sad to see what was supposed to be a competitor to walgreens not even comes close!as of sept 25th 2017 things have not changed for the better only for the worse!! Brought in 5 scripts after being released from hosp.with pneumonia ,dropped them was told to come back in an hour to which I did a low an behold 1 was ready and the other scripts just vanished!!! Horrible service. Took advantage of their advertised Curbside service twice now, and each time I ended up sitting outside waiting for 15 minutes after checking in that I was "here" and leaving the app open as directed, before I end up having to call and say that I am outside. This time I called and said I have been waiting outside for 15 mins, the man who answered said "allrighty, thanks" and hung up. I was confused if that meant he was coming out or not, within a few minutes, he did and I asked him if I checked in etc right to alert them I was out there. He said yes but "there is only 2 people working so..." Just to confirm, I asked him if he knew I was out here all this time and he said yes. No apologies or anything, he just walked away. Perhaps you shouldn't advertise a service if you don't have the staff to honor it. I'll go to another CVS down the road next time, hopefully they're properly staffed on a Friday. read more
