I was out of town for the past 3 days and according to my Walgreens app had two prescription to pick-up. The app told me for one of the prescription I had until September 3 to pick it up. I went to the pharmacy and requested my prescription and was only given one. The pharmacy tech explained the other one had already been returned to the shelf and would not be filled until tomorrow. Because I was in the drive-thru and did not want to hold up the line I parked my car and went inside. Once inside I spoke with the Pharmacy Manager Asna who said it is their policy to return all prescription unclaimed for 10 days to the shelf at 5pm on the 10th day. Even though the app says the prescription is ready for pick up and the pharmacy does not close until 8pm. Asna said it is done at 5pm because after 5pm they do not have the manpower to return all the prescriptions for the day after 5pm there are only two people working. I asked Asna if this 5pm prescription return was a corporate policy, a store policy and if it was written somewhere. I then asked Asna to provide me with a number of their corporate office so I could get clarification on this policy. Asna, the Pharmacy Manager, then stated she needed to follow another "strict" policy (meal break from 6:45p - 7:15p) and proceeded to walk away and start closing all the interior windows to the pharmacy I spoke with the store manager on duty and requested the corporate office number which she provided. I called and filled a complaint with the corporate office and they told me I would hear back from a district manager in 2 business days. At 7:23 I received a text from Walgreens stating my prescription, that could not be filled until tomorrow, was now filled. This Walgreens pharmacy at the time of this had a 2.6 star review out of 5. My mom needs her medication that was prescribed at the emergency room last night. She's supposed to take it every 8 hours. And the pharmacy has bankers hours now, 9am to 5pm. I arrived about 9:40 to see if the med was ready. The lady rudely told me it would be ready after 11am because they just opened. So I come back at 11am and now they're at lunch. Serious!!? Long gone are the days that Walgreens was my pharmacy of choice. Someone could die waiting to get their medication. read more

The pharmacy manager Perry treated me as if I were an uneducated idiot. I went to the store to pick up my prescription for my condition that I obtained in the military and the technician explained to me my doctor needs to redo the prescription due to a new FDA regulation. Unfortunately my doctor is retiring. His office is closed but he is still taking phone calls I found out later. I ask multiple times what can I do, hoping they would at least offer a phone call to my provider. This was never offered nor did it happen. The Pharmacy Mgr. Perry immediately aggressively ran over to protect his technician with the statement, "we are frustrated, what do you want us to do". I responded, "I am a patient, what do you want me to do". Perry did not ask if I was ok. Perry the pharmacy manager did not offer to help. Perry immediately aggressively attacked my character. I have been going this pharmacy for 1 year now and this was a shocker. Perry even got another patient picking up his order involved. HIPPA VIOLATION!!! We argued back and forth exchanging insults for 5 min until I stated I am done. I asked for my other prescription and this man refused to give me my needed prescription and told me to leave 3 times because of his ego and discriminatory mindset. The man refused to give me my prescription....WTH! Long story short after all of this plus a bunch of missing details I received my prescription and started walking out of the door. As I am walking out Perry the pharmacy manager adds to the humiliation and gets one of the staff and himself to laugh at me as I am walking out. I immediately come back to the counter and acknowledge the humiliation. I needed to go back to work. Way to go Walgreens. This is how patients with extreme trauma should be treated. Been using this Walgreens for nearly 20 years. Overall impression is same as other Walgreens I've used. Slow. Can be very slow in checking out. Many times there is a line of 5 or 6 people, some of whom have cart full of stuff and a million coupons. The wait can be frustrating. But this is common to most Walgreens stores, so... The pharmacy is pretty good, and service there is relatively quick depending on time of day. Drive up is better. But even there, long waits can happen. Parking is very good and store is generally clean and orderly. read more

Been here many times, mostly always a pleasant experience. There are a few employees that could use an attitude adjustment, but then there are a few that are awesome and friendly. This is a super convenient location so we come here often. BTW no take care clinic here nor is it 24 hours, that is up on rolls road, wish that was here. read more

Went on 12-28 at about 6:15 pm, and the cashier was so rude. I don't know what her deal was but I was honestly disgusted. She was so rude to me and my sister not at all understanding and she wouldn't let me enter my rewards to get the discount... Was not a fan of her hopefully won't see her again. read more

Beware of this locations Pharmacy dept. The Pharmacist Perry is a prick and is very condescending and rude. He has zero customer experience skills. There are plenty of other Walgreens, Cvs, Walmart, mejiers, etc that can fill you prescription correct than this location. They dont do their job correctly and confirming that the prescription refill is accurate. They just assume it is correct and it is patients responsibility to make sure it is accurate and complete Thats what the prick Perry kept telling me. This store is a joke. Half the time they don't know what they're doing. Employees are always rude which they probably learned from the older gentlemen that's their manager. They stand around talking to each other while customers stand in line. Had to say hey do you mind if I interrupt you so I can get out of here. I honestly don't know why I keep going to this store other than it's 1 min from where I live. I'm going to have to just start going to the one in Grayslake. This Walgreens is close to me to and I like to use it for a lot of things. Recently I went for passport photos and the photo tech was quite rude to me. In fact almost yelling at me because I had questions about the editing process. The pharmacists at this location are the only reason I keep coming here. They are nice, answer all questions and are timely. read more

This is my neighborhood Walgreen's. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially the makeup department staff. I don't recall her name, but I have had a few instances where she went out of her way to help me find something or had a coupon for an item I was purchasing. One of the last times however, I was in the card section, and I heard the cashier in the front, CLIPPING her nails behind the counter! I was very disgusted! I don't see this person here often, but it was enough to post. Everyone else here is fantastic...minus the nail clipping lady. read more
