This place needs to be torn down. Homeless people all around the building the workers are unprofessional and it's an eye sore. I went to another business in the same parking lot thinking I would run inside there for something small but as soon as I enter I was barked at by a rude cashier. The reason for the one star is the pharmacy...SO horrible! The pharmacists are SO rude, they are SO slow, I work in health care and it is really SO sad to see how everyone but one cashier (she is mid age, long curly hair w/tattoos) when it comes to patient care I observe EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. She was so nice to all the customers, hoping they feel better, being patient with them, very nice, but unfortunately one person can't make up for all the rude, disorganized, unhelpful people. I had to pick up my husbands medication, I did not have his insurance card, but I had the insurance name and ID number, the pharmacist or assistant not sure what her title is was so rude and did not even attempt to verify benefits. Had it not been that my husband needed his medication asap, I would have asked that his medication be sent elsewhere. When I got home my cousin who does not work for insurance, does not work in a healthcare setting, got all the information that the unhelpful pharmacist said she was unable to obtain?? Was it she couldn't or was it she didn't want to? Who knows! What I do know is I will not return to this CVS again, I would rather drive out of my way for better service. read more

Absolute worse service at this pharmacy. I came in to make an exchange on some flu medicine I had purchased the night before. Because I opened the package the clerk told me I had to do it at the front of the store because it would require an override. I said fine, asked her if I could make my purchase and she said why don't u do it all together as if it was problem for me to do it with her. It should be up to me how I want my items process. I became so frustrated as I had multiple transactions to complete and asked for someone else to help me. She stood and stared and said I'm working register. Is this how u train your employees to treat your customers? For this reason I will be moving my prescriptions to another company. I hope they shut your business down for the kind of bad service you provide. I will be escalating this complaint to the highest level. Customer service comes first. read more

The pharmacy here is a mixed bag. You can tell there are a few assistants who truly care at the front, but the actual pharmacists are only there for the pay check, not to help people who need it. The assistant Sarah was very accomidating, did everything she could to help me out and was really nice. but when the actual pharmacist came to give me advice on my meds I could tell she hated her job. read more

I sont know if they've always done this but I recently have been given a ton of great coupons! The other day I had about five and didnt know which would be the best to use but the girl at the register did. She helped me to save over $5! She was great! There's also a two red boxes outside! After my wife went to urgent care on a sunday, she then attempted to fill her perscription for a severe ear infection at CVS like she has been doing the last 6 months. She stood in line for twenty minutes behind a guy having problems with his insurance coverage. The lady behind the counter never spoke to her while she was in line. Horrible service!!! I am in the process of shifting doctors so I don't have a primary doctor right now yet I do have two prescriptions that need to be refilled. I was told by one of the clerks that all I had to do was give them the prescription numbers and my medical number for Kaiser they would submit it and get that resolved in three days. Sounds fantastic however, nobody at the Cvs actually did that. Here I am 10 days later with no prescription going through withdrawals only to be told that no sorry nobody submitted anything like that. Why would you promise something and not fulfill it??? Over the years this place has gone under many name changes. I think the only name it hasn't had is Walgreen's! The renovations that it has undergone really makes this place seem more inviting than the dark dungeon it was when it was called Long's. I like the fact that Chase bank opened in the same shopping center so now I can kill two birds with one stone!!! read more

Seething and ready to write my heated review, I quickly realized once I got on Yelp that I was not the first to have an awful experience at this pharmacy, and likely wouldn't be the last. I'm going to spare the boring specifics, since many others have had similar and icky experiences here, but I will say this: not only was I spoken to in a stuck up, judgmental tone, but I was actually told a blatant lie. So blatant, that I ended up at another CVS across town, weeks later and ready for a fight. Only to discover the pharmacist had no issue. None. Zero. The out of pocket price ended up being way beyond my means, but the pharmacy tech was kind and helpful. I ended up being able to use a coupon through Wal Mart's pharmacy, who, coincidentally, also had zero issue with filling my legit, paper prescription (I was ironically only able to afford to have 30 out of the 100 prescribed filled at the out of pocket price... almost 4 figures for the full amount lol whaaaat) anyway, the point is, this CVS pharmacist is not only unprofessional but just plain full of it. The CVS on Madison and Dewey was fabulous. I highly recommend that the pharmacy staff at the W El Camino location be reconsidered. Cvs on w.elcamino has got to be the worst pharmacy I did business with.Every 2 days, they called me to tell me I have a refill via the automatic dialer...I really think they have a quota to fill pushed by the big pharmacy companies. everytime, they called me, my insurance is charged even though I don't need the meds...my bottle is still half full.I asked 10 times to be taken off the auto refill, they said " oh yes, I am doing it right now,",,broken record and the robo calls start again the next day. Like Skeeter Z said they must be desperate. Like wells fargo where they have a quota to fill.I really feel sorry for the workers, they have a job to do.I only go to this horrible place because my insurance co..preferred pharmacy huh. This is the worst location! Called prior to traveling to the store to check on there stock of Rug Doctor machines. Talked to a rep named Gracen, really nice and polite on the phone. Said they had the machines available. So traveled to the location, waited in line for 30 min while the manager tried to print/download pictures for a customer. Instead of asking them to wait to the side while helping others.......a line of 10 people waited. When I finally get the register to rent the machine...she proceeds to tell me that they don't work. they have three machines there, but none of them work. This is a HORRIBLE CVS. There is one pharmacist there who is extremely rude. I was waiting for a refill for a maintenance medication. If I don't take this medicine, I can't eat. After it not being approved for a week, I told this rude pharmacist that I needed her to call the doctor and get approval because he wasn't responding to the normal FAXed request. Well, this lady was rude, nasty and abrupt and said "I don't have to do anything for you"...WOW--- I was shocked and I spend over $100 a month at CVS in just prescriptions. You do not treat customers that way!! This happened at noon on 12/24 and I am not sure who it was I was talking to- I just know she was a pharmacist but not the pharmacy manager. She should be fired. I have already told 10 co-workers about this so that is 10 people that will not be going to that pharmacy. Maybe they don't care. I went to another CVS that I had been going to-- the only I switched was because I moved and this one is right by house. I will give the store 3 stars there are some great folks that work here. However 1 star for the service today. I come here all the time. In and out. Not my fave but it's over the freeway. 3 cashiers one gentleman's light was off, this man always seems very courteous and customer service friendly so I'm most dissapointed in his actions today. he was helping his last customer and discussing how he needs his lunch he looked right at me looked at the line to his left (which had now jammed thru 3 customers). I don't believe in line hopping stay where you are unless something opens or they come and get ya I of course went to a line with a light. I'm waiting an elderly lady with her daughter had some questions. These two young gals in some pretty short skirts walk right up to the cashier with his light off and say "YOU OPEN RIGHT" in my mind I'm thinking oh well I don't have many items so it will be quick. Instead of doing what was right to help me, as I'd been standing there for quite sometime and who had 2 items (2 liter bottles of diet coke) he looks at the cashier in my line then back again and rings them up. At this point I wanted to say "Obviously it pays to be attractive" I'm not a troll but I also dont look like a super model. I just looked down, low self esteem in full effect at this point. Had these gals not looked like they did he wouldn't have assisted. Whatever, nothing I can say or do would matter. I get it. I was fairly mortified and my pride was a bit wounded. After this bs I had to walk to the bank and the gentleman and his young son like 3ish (this little guy yelled HI LADY as loud as he could) who held the door open for me made me feel a lot better. read more

Went to CVS 2 days ago to print some wallet pics and the printer was having a problem printing my reciept. The lady there was very nice and fixed it and told me wallets were on sale for $5 instead of $6.99. I was very pleased...but today was a whole new story. It was about 10am. I went to print more wallets and there was one person workigng. He called for assistants seeing as I was having another issue getting my print out reciept. I waited patiently and told her about the previous day and what the other lady did to fix it, and she snapped back at me "well Im only one person" so I asked should I use another machine and she said "yes" so I went thru all the steps again, got my reciept and it wouldnt scan for the self printout. I explainedto her the new problem and she just huffed and puffed and said "well its not working, u will have to try another time"..but I did not just waste 30 min of my time...so I kept scanning it 20x's later it scanned and started to print mind you she was long gone. So I get in the 1 long line to purchase my pics and warn the guy at the register since he's alone, I need my pictures cut and a something to put them in, so he paged her and she came over and I asked her nicely "will you cut these"( seeing as they have all the tools to do and have always offered in the past) she snatched my pics and and stormed off, walks back to me in line with the pics in a stack and just hands them to me, I didnt even bother to ask for and insert enevelope so my photos dont get damaged, and I said "thank you for doing that, these have to go straight into thank you cards" and she said nothing and walked away. I did say out loud " ohh your welcome, where is good customer service these days" but she was long gone. Then the gentleman rang me up for the $6.99 I price and I didnt even mention they were on sale. I just wanted out that store....I know better than to go there after work hours but now I know to drive the extra mile to target for all my pics. I cant belive paying cutomers get treated like such crap these days for an error on ur end that should have been fixed days ago! read more

This store sold $790 in gift cards (4 DIFFERENT CREDIT CARDS, 3 TRANSACTIONS of $200 EACH, 1 FOR ONLY $190 WHEN $200 WOULDN'T GO THROUGH...HELLOOOOOOO???? THIS CVS ALLOWED THE THIEF TO DRAIN MY ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!) to the thief who stole my purse/wallet. I called the manager to ask why don't they check id for credit transactions, ESPECIALLY TOTALLYING ALMOST $800, & George's & Conception's answers were that they "had an instance a while back when they had to check ids, but now they dont check ids for STUFF, it's too TIME CONSUMING"...yes Conception said "stuff". And George (manager on duty that morning, 3/15/19) said they were supposed to check ids for ONLY VISA GIFT CARDS. Anyway, my point is that they SAY they check ids for gift cards, however the cashier sold almost $800 (ONE CARD GETTING DENIED FOR $200, THEN RAN FOR ALL THAT WOULD POSSIBLE GO THROUGH-THE ENTIRE AMOUNT IN MY ACCOUNT) in gift cards w/o asking for id. They said they would only tell police anything. They could only confirm that yes, they do indeed have cameras aimed at the customers, but will only show they to police & they only keep the tapes for "about 30 days". Of course the police are too busy to care to investigate my case, so I'm writing this review in hopes that someone sees this, stops shopping here...this cvs needs to be closed down...only thieves are keeping them in business. read more

For couponers out there. If you're doing some easy deals, go for it. But like someone had mention earlier in another review here is that the employees do not have much motivation to help you get the deals you need so you can save more. This was my first time coming to this cvs. I was doing my $6 off $30 purchase deal. My whole entire transaction was about $56 to $57. I had an old man as my cashier who was so in a rush. He missed scanning some coupons and ecbs. He even took off my crts that were sent to my card. He took off the $6/$30 purchase so it did not apply to the purchase. It wasn't until I got out to my car that I saw all the mistakes. NOTE: ALWAYS CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE PARKING LOT! I went back in to talk to the manager about it. He took a look. Returned my ecbs and printed ecbs for the CRTs that did not come off. I then asked him about the $6/$30 and this is why I am sitting here writing this now. He told me that this coupon only applied after coupons. I had mention to him that I had never heard of this and asked when did they changed this policy because I had done this at other CVS and it was always before. He told me that it had just changed recently. I knew he was lying. I just nodded and left without a question. By the end of the week, there was a different manager there. I asked him the same question and he agreed that is was applied before! You don't even know how mad I was! Anyways, good luck to all those who coupon here. This experience does not stop me from coming here because it's the closest CVS near me. read more
