Things happen on occasion. I get that. But it almost always happens here. It's so bad that when they tell us a prescription is ready, we don't fully expect it to be (because of the times we've gone to pick up a prescription we were told was ready only to discover it wasn't). Right now I'm waiting on a prescription that was called in by my doctor two weeks ago. They keep telling me my medicine is not in stock, but that they're expecting more in a couple of days. This has been going on for two weeks, with no end in sight. And this is not the first time this has happened. Worse, they've proven in the past that they play favorites (I assume greasing the proverbial squeaky wheels). On one occasion I had one prescription I was told was ready, and then unexpectedly had to work an double-shift. When I was unable to pick up my prescription that day and instead went the next day, I was told they'd given that medicine to someone else and I would have to wait for them to get more in stock. I absolutely refuse to believe these ongoing problems are (always) someone else's fault. I have no idea what's going on at the pharmacy at this location, but they're so bad that I've started taking less of some of my medications to try to build up a reserve supply for those inevitable occasions when this Walgreen's pharmacy can't seem to fill a prescription and just throws their hands up and smirks at me. If not for the fact that my GP's practice is literally next door to the Walgreen's and the Walgreen's is just a few blocks from my house, I would avoid them altogether. As it is, I'm shifting as much of my medication away from them as possible. In short, there is no in-between with this Walgreen's pharmacy. Either prescriptions are filled promptly without a hitch and staff are pleasant and friendly, or getting prescriptions filled is like negotiating a peace treaty and staff is angry and rude when prescriptions ARE eventually filled. There's no in-between. Worst of all, picking up some mental-health related medication means being met with an unmistakable low-key hostility, which is a really big deal for people who are already struggling. At the end of the day, I don't know what's going on at the pharmacy at this Walgreen's location, but it is definitely a crap-shoot when it comes to service. When they're good they're great. But when they're bad the wheels REALLY come off.

Their entire staff and the manager are very customer-service-focused. They are willing to help any customer with any question without a problem. I have witnessed team members stop doing their work to help shorten a line that has built up after the lunch-hour break. The teamwork in this crew is amazing, and the teamwork starts from the top. That is the manager, and it trickles down to every staff member that works in that department. The store is clean. The department is clean. It is also organized. I look at the shelves for how the products are aligned. I look at how organized the bags of medication for pickup are kept, and the display fixture. I look at even the floor. And under the display counters . I have been to several other CVS stores in different states, and nothing compares to this store and the staff. This is a winner. In my younger years, I used to be a mystery shopper. A mystery shopper is a person who went to stores to test out how the staff would react to questions, to look at how the product were displayed, to witness store and department organization It was a great job that I had, and I enjoyed it very much. Those skills that I learned, I still carry today. Automatically, in my mind, I open a checklist and start checking off boxes. That tells me whether I would ever go back to the same store again. With that being said, CVS Corporate should be proud of this pharmacy department in the Northeast CVS store. The Northeast store itself is also organized and cleaned. The A caps and B caps are displayed just perfectly. The staff in the store itself is always friendly, always willing to help you too. You have a winning pharmacy and a winning store.

I have never experienced such consistently poor pharmacy management in my life…read more This Walgreens has a long-standing pattern of waiting until the absolute last possible moment to fill prescriptions, even when refills are already authorized and no doctor approval is required. On multiple occasions, I've been told a refill was "being processed," only to wait days with no notification, no follow-up, and no urgency. Most recently, I was notified that my prescription was processing on a Thursday. The automated system said it would be ready by Sunday. No call. No message. On Monday, I called and was told the medication would arrive by truck by 2 p.m. that day. Still no notification. When I called again the following day, I was told the medication had arrived -- but had not been filled. When I went in person after work, the staff member behind the counter casually rummaged through bins and bags, clearly searching for my medication, then filled it on the spot. This means my prescription had been sitting there unfilled for at least a full day, possibly longer, with no effort to process it or notify me. This six-day delay caused me to miss a dose of an important daily medication. That is not a minor inconvenience -- it's a serious failure of care. There was no apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgment of the delay. Just indifference. Pharmacies are not fast-food counters. When people are relying on you for essential medications, "eventually" is not acceptable. This location has demonstrated, repeatedly, that it cannot be trusted to manage prescriptions responsibly or proactively. I will be transferring my prescription to Publix -- something I should have done a long time ago -- and I will never use this Walgreens pharmacy again.

Every month I'd hope it would go smoothly, and every month it didn't. All of the staff I encountered were rude, unhelpful, and made it clear they had no interest in resolving anything. Getting a routine prescription filled shouldn't be a monthly source of dread. Find a different pharmacy if you can.

Publix has officially lost my respect as a customer…read more I've shopped at Publix my entire life -- literally since I was a kid. As an adult, I was my grandmother's caregiver when she could no longer shop for herself. She would send me with her check, her ID, and I'd show my ID. This was never an issue. Ever. Fast forward to now -- I'm caring for my dad. He's feeble, can't walk well, can't hear well, and cannot comprehend things the way he used to. I handle his grocery shopping. I did it three weeks ago the exact same way. No problem. Today? Suddenly I'm told, "No, you're not on the check. It's our policy. We can't accept it." When I asked when the policy changed, I was told it never changed and whoever helped me before was "wrong." I'm calling BS on that. So let me get this straight -- I can present his ID, my ID, I'm clearly the caregiver, and you're still refusing the check? For elderly people who still use checks because that's what they know? Yes, checks may be old school -- but so are a lot of your loyal customers. The ones you claim to care so much about. Thankfully, I had the money in my own account today, and going forward I'll be fine -- I have a better-paying job starting soon. But that's not the point. The point is this policy (or the way it's being enforced) is ridiculous, inconsiderate, and completely disconnected from reality. Between this experience and the way it was handled, I will no longer be shopping at Publix. After a lifetime of loyalty, this was the final straw. Do better.

After two shopping experiences, I am blown away by the difference as the Publix across the street is deplorable. The staff here is friendly and helpful. Every item I've wanted on sale or not has been in stock. They have every type of publix branded cheese available including the shaved Italian mix and crumbled goat cheese. So far the produce selection has been stellar. They also had a full seafood counter with everything in stock. Perhaps Publix is still a pleasure if you go to the right store.
