I've been going to this Walgreens for the past 3 plus years. It's very convenient. Because, it's also right down the street from where I live. And CVS was more expensive for some of my prescriptions. Granted, it's usually pretty busy in the pharmacy. Whether that's inside. Or through the drive-thru. And sure sometimes U have to wait for your prescription. But, overall I'm very happy with this store.. Even if they would be short staffed. The people who work there. Are constantly busting hump To wait on ALL the customers at the counter. Along with the ones in the drive-thru. Plus, everybody who works there is SWEET and nice. Including ALL the pharmacists as well.. Who are very helpful indeed.. Kudos Walgreens pharmacy. This Walgreens has still never seen any improvement with their customer service. I went to pick up some vitamins and when I went to the cashier to pay I was grudgingly told "I'll be with you in a moment" so she can have an excuse to ignore me and keep me waiting. Whatever happened to good customer service at Walgreens? I am glad that I pulled all of my prescriptions out of Walgreens and transferred them to a different pharmacy. It seems that Walgreens at 3851 4 St N in St. Petersburg does not want your business. Customer service is not an interruption - it is the future of any business, including Walgreens. read more

Fifteen days and still waiting on Walgreens to fill a simple prescription they bin filling for over ten years for me. It sickness me to learn the truth why myself and so may more are enduring the issue on our medication. The corporation and some pencil pushers decided that it's about cost effectiveness and to not have the pharmacy's stock certain medication therefor allowing more room for the higher volume medication to be sold producing more revenue and money. They decided to keep certain drugs in their warehouse instead of a centralized high volume pharmacy. The warehouses dosen't have any employees and is completely automated and operated by robots. The poor pharmacist and staff have no way to contact anyone in the warehouses to check on the status of the medication they need. When you contact customer services that's all AI or automated by recording by phone or by emailing them. I've gotten the same recorded message several times, four times to be exact that I've saved on my cell phone after filling a complaint to customer services. Telling me my medication is on backorder and I'll be contacted well it comes in. I took my prescription across the street to CVS and asked them about my medication and they said if I have my doctor call in the prescription they could have it filled with in a few hours. I had to stop at Publix to get a few things and I stopped at the pharmacy and asked them as well, amazing they said the exact thing and they have it in stock. Walgreens corporation hear me I don't care if you gave me lifetime free prescription I'll never walk into one of your stores. The sad thing is you have employees that go above and beyond to help the customers and you the company hold their hands behind them and you throw them under the bus holding them responsible for your actions and making them endure the upset and frustrated customers. This should be -5 stars! Just went to return items at the Central and Pasadena Avenue store. I paid $16.72 and they returned $13.08. The gentleman doing the return could not tell me why except said that it looked like I had a FSA account which I do not have. Finally the manager came over and he didn't know how to read the return either. Said I had FSA account and it looked like I used $3.65 of a store savings. And so they would not return the full amount. However even though I "used" and it was deducted apparently even though I did not say to use it and did not know I had it, I still paid at the end $16.72 so I should have been returned that same amount. The manager seemed incensed and even said well you could just keep the items , and then said well it's only like $3 at that point I just left. That $3.65 just cost you a customer for life. I will not spend money at a store that steals from their customers and then turns around and resells that product to somebody else. I don't think business should operate that way, but then, I have ethics and morals. Nice job! read more

This Walgreens has especially poor staffing and therefore the customer service is poor as well. 10-20 minute waits to pick-up a prescription are the norm. The pharmacy stops answering their phone an hour before they actually close, and they have a closing for "lunch". Front check-out is what you would expect, and the store is well stocked. Forget about using any of their special lab services or vaccinations unless you want to waste at least an hour: they just don't want to pay for staff. Very sad read more

Went to the pharmacy to see if their "Advent Health" minute clinic would test me for the flu - stood at the consultation window for 20 minutes, with people behind me getting helped at the pick up window. A pickup window guest had to move over to the consult window (for some stupid reason), and they talked/consulted over me, as if I was invisible. So incredibly rude. Then when they finally asked me what I wanted, they were quick to tell me they don't offer flu testing, and provided zero help where I could go nearby for the service. Hope no one got the flu while I was standing there coughing away for 20+ minutes. read more

I have been to this Walgreens multiple times for multiple pick ups at photos. The first couple times I came everyone was very rude but I let it go because we are in the middle of Covid and I figured maybe they are just stressed right now. I just went in there again today and still the same service. Nearly every employee besides one I've ran into has been extremely rude. Multiple times I've gone in and my order has not been ready but yet they have the audacity to give me the attitude. I'm not sure if it's understaffed or what but there definitely needs to be a better selection on who you hire. Not only that but every time I call no one seems to be answering the phones but then I will walk in five minutes later and the employees will be just standing there. After I finally have this order that is not ready I will never be ordering anything from this Walgreens again. read more

I have to say I come here all the time for quick items ... the main cashier they had was horible! Slow, snappy, to be frank quite rude slow slow slow and would inventory every item you purchase. The staff that I have seen now have made improvements to your shopping experience. There is a blonde cashier in cosmetics through the day and always friendly. Great improvement read more

Ridiculous, the store & pharmacy were closed after I drove across town. All info was provided by the Walgreen's app and double checked on Google. After heading to one store the app told me the store that I was going to was closed.i was glad it informed me until that 24 hour Walgreens pharmacy and store were also closed. My normal Walgreens also listed as a 24 hour location closes at 11pm. After getting off work I just planned on drop off my prescription so it would be ready for me on my way to work in the afternoon. Apparently, they need to revaluate every store's hours and apply the correct changes. I've been using walgreens pharmacy for 5 years at least and the time I actually needed the service there wasn't a single 24 hour location open for 40 miles from my location in St..Pete. I'd understand one pharmacist calling off and the store had to close, however all 3 locations is unaccectable. Normally I do this n the day time but I wasn't able to today. I thought the convenience of have it ready so I didn't have to inconvenience myself and wake several hours earlier. Incase they are backed up or out of the medication. Since the wait ranges from 30 minutes to 2 hours sometimes. I have to Wake up and get ready work a few hours earlier then necessary. I attempted to drop it off before work but the pharmacy was out and didn't have time to go to the other one. I figured after I get off at 12-1am i have multiple 24 hour walgreens location still open Anyways I'm done venting for now.. Next time I'll be sure to call ahead, hopefully this saves someone else a long and frustrating drive around town to simply drop off a prescription.. I have called this pharmacy 4 times now in the last hour, been on hold for at least 10 minutes each time and this last time the store manager was transferring directly to the pharmacist. The worst customer service I've experienced in a while. Sucks that you have to deal with this for better prescription prices. All this insurance crap is a scam. read more

You know I guess everybody thinks a drugstore/market-they're all the same. Well I'm in between two Walgreens stores but I generally opt for this one. No I have no issue with the store at 54th Ave and 9th Street-in fact I was there today. But the pharmacy at 38th Ave always seems to go the extra mile for me. If I drop off a prescription they will tell me if it can be ready quickly (I don't even have to ask) and they have save me lots of money by switching to generics or finding something comparable with my doctors approval. They even got me one drug free of charge that was not covered by insurance. Like I say, they go the extra mile. If I shop up at 6AM or late in the evening they seem happy and get right to work on things. I would like to let them know they are appreciated. read more

Stopped on the way home to print some pictures from my phone for my new (just bought)frame. I didn't see anyone behind the photo counter, in a minute Walgreens employee come with customer, she give her previously ordered pictures and guietly dissapeared before i've asked the question (never re-appeared again). Customer told me that i can print my pictures there , in store. I wasn't sure how to use those equipment, nobody to ask, so i went to wander around the store, picked up some candy. At that time Florida's thunderstorm bedun, light blinked. When i come to the register, cashier scanned candy, i used my credit card but transaction didn't go through. I told cashier- i just used the card in another store. After couple times trying, cashier had a nerve to ask me to give my candy back!!! In front of other people!!! Without even giving me an option of other way of payment!!! Seems like this Walgreens employees have no idea about customer service, what they can or can't do to customers! I will go to CVS across the street now at any time!!! read more

Not sure what the bad reviews are, but the cashiers have always been at the counter when I've been here, and I frequent this Walgreens very often. However, I agree with Kristin M. that one of the cashier seems to be having a bad day, like almost everyday. Weirdly enough, she was super nice tonight. But great Walgreens overall! read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. I went in for severely swollen tonsils, to the point I couldn't even turn my neck or hardly talk and all the doctor did was give me a strep test and since I came out negative she just sent me home with nothing and to "just wait it out". Barely examined me, was super rushed. Because of her advice to wait it out, the problem got so bad that my throat pretty much closed up. Went to urgent care and they immediately knew I had a really bad abscess in my throat and I had to be sent to the hospital because of how bad it gotten. They were shocked when I told them the Walgreens doctor just sent me home with literally nothing. read more

I usually will keep my negative comments to myself except I feel compelled to let the public know about this place. This is by far the worst Walgreens pharmacy or pharmacy ever. Just read the reviews and take extreme caution if you ever decide to get your prescriptions filled here. I have only been in this area for 2 years now and I would drive way out of my way to avoid this out of control pharmacy. They will send you text and emails informing you to pick up prescriptions that you need only to get you there to inform you that you need Dr's approval on when in fact you can go right up the street and pick up at the next Walgreens right up the street. Every other Walgreens I have spoken to about this location says it is the worst one in the state (4th street and 40 ave ne St Petersburg Fla). I could go on and on about countless issues I have had at this location every time I go here. If you don't believe me, just do your research. It is quite bizarre! Run fast!! Pharmacy here is the worst. They don't listen when you give them instructions about your prescription. They smile and nod and then totally ignore you. I have a script that is not covered by insurance. I tell them this EVERY SINGLE TIME - FOR MONTHS NOW!!! And every single time I go to pick it up they say it's not ready because my insurance doesn't cover it and they have a call in to my doctor. HELLO GENIUS! I KNOW THAT! This pharmacy has an issue every single time I come to refill a prescription. Either their system is down or they send me away with only 10/90 pills and I have to com back several times to get it sorted out. It's time to move my prescriptions elsewhere because it's never straightforward at this pharmacy, I recommend you avoid this pharmacy and the headaches associated with them. read more

Went in at 10pm to pick up a photo. It wasn't ready but Otis said that he would print it right away and not charge us. When printed it had some ink spots. Otis printed another one right away without issue or question. He didn't charge us but gave us both! Otis showed awesome customer service and was very engaging...even at 10:30 at night! After Irma, which left me without meds for 5 days, i went to pick up at this walgreens. Called to have it filled, was told an hour, went 2 hours later and it wasn't ready. Cody in pharmacy laughed in my face when I became frustrated. He was not even the person i was speaking with, but inserted his arrogant opinion into the conversation. Cody has absolutely no business in customer service and I will make it my personal mission to make sure he is reprimanded for his arrogant, insensitive attitude towards struggling, paying customers.
