This is a shout out to the 4th Street North Walgreens.. I went in there earlier this morning to pick up my prescription. This very sweet and knowledgeable girl. Who was up front at a register.... She showed me where the gift cards were... Along with the gift bags.. When I went up front to check out.. Unfortunately, I was 52 cents short... I told her I could go outside and find it in my car... She was very sweet and threw it in herself from her own money... She has phenomenal customer service.. Along with beautiful dark hair with blue in it... It was very professional looking indeed. I can't fault the store in general, but the pharmacy at this location borders on parody. It's rare for my wife or I to call in a prescription and actually have it filled with no issues. Things happen on occasion. I get that. But it almost always happens here. It's so bad that when they tell us a prescription is ready, we don't fully expect it to be (because of the times we've gone to pick up a prescription we were told was ready only to discover it wasn't). Right now I'm waiting on a prescription that was called in by my doctor two weeks ago. They keep telling me my medicine is not in stock, but that they're expecting more in a couple of days. This has been going on for two weeks, with no end in sight. And this is not the first time this has happened. Worse, they've proven in the past that they play favorites (I assume greasing the proverbial squeaky wheels). On one occasion I had one prescription I was told was ready, and then unexpectedly had to work an double-shift. When I was unable to pick up my prescription that day and instead went the next day, I was told they'd given that medicine to someone else and I would have to wait for them to get more in stock. I absolutely refuse to believe these ongoing problems are (always) someone else's fault. I have no idea what's going on at the pharmacy at this location, but they're so bad that I've started taking less of some of my medications to try to build up a reserve supply for those inevitable occasions when this Walgreen's pharmacy can't seem to fill a prescription and just throws their hands up and smirks at me. If not for the fact that my GP's practice is literally next door to the Walgreen's and the Walgreen's is just a few blocks from my house, I would avoid them altogether. As it is, I'm shifting as much of my medication away from them as possible. In short, there is no in-between with this Walgreen's pharmacy. Either prescriptions are filled promptly without a hitch and staff are pleasant and friendly, or getting prescriptions filled is like negotiating a peace treaty and staff is angry and rude when prescriptions ARE eventually filled. There's no in-between. Worst of all, picking up some mental-health related medication means being met with an unmistakable low-key hostility, which is a really big deal for people who are already struggling. At the end of the day, I don't know what's going on at the pharmacy at this Walgreen's location, but it is definitely a crap-shoot when it comes to service. When they're good they're great. But when they're bad the wheels REALLY come off. read more

most incomitent pharmacy in history, they should comsider closing. They never can refill my prescription on time, full of excuses, never have it in stock even though I get the same medication every 4 weeks. They leave messages saying "issue with insurance" (there is not). Should be VERY easy to get it every 4 weeks and they make it impossible. I am never coming back here aain and they should refund me for all my purchased meds since I have not been able to take them on time and they have lost their affectivemess. Keep saying they are short staffed, but if you can not serve important medications to your patients you should close so they can find somewhere more responsible. Reading reviews I see I am not the only one. This place should be EMBARRASED on how incompitent they are!! (which is dangerous when dealing with medication). read more

The pharmacist at this location was so rude to me today I was trying to tell her what was going on with a break and communication between my insurance and doctor's office and the pharmacy and she kept saying man ma'am I'm telling you what to do I'm telling you what to do she didn't even hear me out and she already had the outcome I told her look I have Alzheimer's but I very understanding of what you're saying and I can follow this basic things you're saying That's not the problem You're not listening to me I have changed pharmacies even though I've been with them for 10 years I hope I never have to talk to her again I'm ask God to bless everyone that comes to contact with this lady she is horrible read more

Pharmacy is so bad I am switching after with being with Walgreens forever. I called for a question about my prescription and they told me hold 5x and hung up twice I waited so long. till this day I'm still waiting for the pharmacy to answer. horrible service read more

Thank goodness for these people. I had a senior graduation photo emergency. I placed my order from my office in tampa around 8:30 or so. By the time I got over the bridge my order was ready for pickup. Despite it being after 9 pm, and a very limited number of staff, I was met with friendly service! The team member that rang me up was wearing a mask, but it was easy to see her smile behind it. She made me feel appreciated and calm even though I was rushing to get these pictures. I see some lower reviews here. People keep in mind that those taking care of you are the few that show up to work, continue to try to maintain good service when others call off work. Be kind and slow down a minute and remember that these are amazing people. Special thanks to the beautiful woman that rang me up! You are appreciated! I feel terrible for not asking her name. This Walgreens is hands-down the best in Saint Pete. I live in Feather Sound near Caroline and come all the way here because they are far and above the rest. The store is always clean, there's always stock, and most importantly, the pharmacy attendants are very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I think his name is Joe, but he is so thoughtful about what your insurance is covering versus what you're spending and takes the time to look up coupons or alternatives for you without you even really having to ask. Every time I come all the employees seem happy in the pharmacy and on the floor. Can't say enough about my good experiences there over the last 3+ years. read more

Always a long line and one cashier. They can't seem to keep items in stock. I lived nearby by and frequently come by due to its close vicinity to my home. Over the years it's gotten worse instead of better. Hope they change something....soon. read more

Pharmacy was unpleasant to deal with. The pharmacy assistant was borderline rude and with wasn't very accommodating . I called in twice and explained that I was transferring a prescription to this Walgreens pharmacy from a different pharmacy and I also provided them with my pharmacy's phone number. They never sent a text notification that my prescription was ready. I physically went to the Walgreens store and they still had not called my pharmacy. I had to call my pharmacy, my pharmacist told me that Walgreens should have called them. I told my pharmacist that Walgreens wasn't going to call and if my pharmacist could call the Walgreens to transfer the prescription. At that point, I was able to get my prescription filled and transferred to this pharmacy. There was no help from the pharmacist or the pharmacy assistant. The pharmacy assistant continued to be rude and did not apologize for their lack of service to help me with my prescription. read more

Always closed. Never enough staff. Say your script is ready then it's not. Transfer your script to another store if they are out of your meds and don't tell you. Slowest service ever. But not the clerks fault on that one. They have the worst POS systems on the planet. read more

Went to pick you my photos only to be told by the manager Kim ( don't know if there's 2 Kim's, this one has short hair) that I didn't have an order and I wasn't even in the system. Which I ordered photos all the time on line there so I know I am. After me telling her they were probably just filed wrong. She had the absolute worst attitude. She brought up a picture and asked me if that was it. I said yes. She said I'll print it like I said it wasn't done. I said no it's done you just won't look for it. Fast forward I go today and the person I spoke to found it right away. I explained the event that happened yesterday and she says that's my boss she's the manager. I would give 5 stars this Walgreens liquor store and general store! But there pharmacy I would easily rate -3 stars if possible. Unfortunately my insurance requires me to use Walgreens pharmacy or else I would have switched elsewhere long ago. The staff is always friendly but I can never understand why they always seem to be efficiently staffed and then only 1 person is helping customers. Unless your the only one waiting in line be prepared to wait! You'll see tons of employees walking around behind the counter trying very hard not to make eye contact while 1 employee is frantically trying to help a long line of customers. I was forced to wait in the long line again yesterday because I needed to ask a few questions about how my insurance will affect the pricing of my medicine. I was asked to wait until someone able to answer my questions was available, which ended up being another 20 minutes on top of the 15 I had already waited. Long story short, the person I waited for was too busy to give me the time of day and gave me a very general answer and directed me to contact my doctor. Absolutely frustrating. This pharmacy needs a revamp and some serious managing. read more

This was probably the sickest, craziest experience I've ever known at a drugstore. While we were shopping, an employee approached us and gently touched my arm. She announced that she was leaving, so ____ at the checkout would have to be the one to check us out. Huh? She had a look of trepidation in her eyes, like something weird was going on. We didn't think much of it, other than maybe she was a really conscientious employee and the other person was less experienced. During checkout, the cashier started grabbing items out of my basket and throwing them behind himself. WTF?!! It was fucking crazy! We called out for him to stop, and asked what he thought he was doing. He said he "had to". I demanded that he put them back; they're ours! Turns out he had cracked my eyeshadow by throwing it. Stupid jerk! I told him I was going back to the makeup aisle to pick up an uncracked one, and he started shouting like a freakin' moron. Checkout was a nightmare, but this was the only place open and we needed some things while on our trip (visiting from CA). The customers behind us looked on in open-mouthed bewilderment at this freak. As we walked out, he started similar loud blathering to them and they had to speak very sharply to him to call him off. Crazy. It was obvious now why the staff lady was concerned about leaving us to be checked out by this guy. She probably knew he was on drugs, but didn't have the authority to send him home (or maybe he was the only one available and she couldn't stay later). At least, that's how it appeared. Of course we'd never return to this Walgreens, but we don't live in the area anyway. Good thing -- who wants to have an encounter like this? Freak! read more

24/7. I fill all my scripts here and they are fast! Tons of random junk, only place open on Christmas day other then hospitals AND they always have fresh flowers! Everything is pretty cheap here except any real food. Chips are cheap but butter is not. Other then that, I highly recommend this Walgreens as a first stop on holidays! read more

Came in here randomly because my dad wanted to stop in and looked. They got me! I started looking just because and ended up with a cart full of great deals. My make-up which usually retails at Target for $17.99 was on sale for only $9.99. Great deal. Their water and eggs were also on sale for an amazing price. I ended up with a cart full of products for only $30.00 when it would normally have been upwards of $50.00. Great service!!!! So simple, yet so important. Today I came to this pharmacy with my fingers crossed it didn't like my previous experiences at Walgreens Pharmacy (in particular the ones off Central and Walgreens at 3077 54Th Ave s). At the previous pharmacies the pharmacists treated customers as though they were incompetent then demanded customers do not talk get angry tones while they tell them why their dr is wrong.. and then used their customers displeasure as a reason to refuse service... The pharmacists here did none of that!!! It was refreshing to bring in a prescription from my doctor, have a pleasant interaction with the pharmacist and be on my way. This Walgreens is the worse! Very slow ..especially the pharmacy...always under staffed...just to drop off a prescription there is a huge line...what is going on? Pathetic customer service. I arrived at the store on Sat at 5:00 PM. I bought $45 worth of groceries. I bought 2 "Devour" frozen dinners (reg price (3.99).There was an on sale tag "buy one get 2nd for half price". I also got 2 bags of planters mixed nuts (reg price $4.99) that had an on sale tag "buy one get one free". I had a few other items that were on sale as well. When I get to the cashier, I give her my Walgreen's card so that I would get my discounts. My card was accepted but there didn't seem to be any discounts applied. I paid anyways and then checked my receipt when I exited the store. No discounts were applied. I went back in the store and the young girl who helped me looked at my receipt and then went and checked to see if the items had on sale tags. She told me that the on sale tags were posted this morning but the sale wasn't starting until midnight. Pricks are knowingly posting on sale tags for numerous items even though they don't go on sale until the following day. By the way, they did NOT honor the pricing that they had posted so I returned ALL items and will take my business elsewhere. How many thousands of dollars have they cheated unsuspecting people out of? Should be sued for this unfair business practice. read more

I had to wait forever to get service. Dropped off a prescription and came to get it later that day. Had to wait to drop off and then had to wait again to get it . . . Almost an hour wait. Now I am not talking about a wait for them to fill the prescription. . . . The wait was just to hand them a prescription and then again to pay for it . . .
