Third stop on our Brew Bus tour and my favorite of the day. If you think you've "been to breweries," think again. Webb's City Cellar feels like a winery and a brewery had a baby. The menu is full of unique mixed culture, wild, and barrel-aged beers, many stored in wine bottles (don't know the actual term for this) instead of the typical beer bottles or cans. I had the Allons-y, my husband ordered the Jester King Sing Along Death Match, and several friends loved the Drood. A couple of us snuck over before the rest of our group arrived, and I'm glad we did. The bar was full of regulars chatting with the staff, and everyone made us feel welcome. It's dog friendly, so there were several sweet pups hanging out inside, which immediately made the place feel even more like St. Pete. There was something happening in every corner. A baby shower was taking place upstairs, a bonsai and beer event was happening near the barrel room, and the cozy fireplace seating made it easy to imagine spending an entire afternoon here. The outdoor courtyard is shared with Green Bench, and the two businesses even share a payment system. Open one tab and use it at both locations. There's also a food truck outside if you get hungry. If you enjoy trying beers you simply can't find anywhere else, Webb's City Cellar is absolutely worth a visit. 10/10. No notes. read more

I'm not a beer or wine fan so take this review with a grain of salt. If I am not given the choice of liquor, then this is definitely the place I'd choose. I was super excited to finally try mead. We came here after watching the Zubrick Magic Show and I asked about the mead. They were out! Which means I'll have to come back to try the mead. They gave me a suggestion that would taste like mead. It was a cider, but it didn't taste like any cider I'd ever tasted. It was like a sweet juice, I'm totally not doing it justice with this description. Kind of similar to port. It ended up being delicious! The reason I really enjoy this place is if someone wants beer, they can grab it next door, and then the non-beer drinkers *raises hand* aren't out of luck. This sounds really weird to say, but I've been forced to go to enough breweries that I'm so happy places like this exist next to a brewery. You can take your drink outside and sit on the fake grass (which I love because fewer bugs). There was a lot of seating on a Friday night at 8:30 p.m. The bartender was friendly and the drink was good. I'll have to come back to try the mead. read more

Super glad I stopped to check this out while visiting Green Bench Brewing! Webb's City Cellar is apart of Green Bench- but instead of classic beers and brews they offer different things like ciders & sours, and in small sip selections so you can do a lot more tastings. But beyond this the vibe they have set up inside is so dope. The low lighting and mix of industrial & farmhouse decor is unique and is the perfect change up from Green Bench's original brewery. This is a place I'd come back to and hang out in. The workers were super nice and helpful with any questions you might have about their offerings. Webb's City Cellar is the amazing high end experimental brewery extension to adjacent GreenBench brewery. While GreenBench has a good array of standard type beers - IPAs, lagers, Pilsner- Webb City does potent barrel aged stouts, barrel aged sours(!), wild yeast farmhouse saisons, meads, ciders- quite a beer drinking journey. Webb has a very rustic appeal with an intimate taproom bar setting, a lounge space, an outdoor patio, balcony seating, and a large barrel aging facility. Such a great venue for the monthly Classical Revolution performances! Wide selection of wine (and beer and cider), which rotates allowing you to try new wines often. Important to note the temp is kept cooler inside, since it is a wine cellar...so dress accordingly if you plan to spend time inside. read more

I had my baby shower at the main area at Web City Cellar and it was perfect. The staff and manager went above and beyond. They helped with arranging tables and preparing the place prior to the event. The ambiance was perfect for a co-ed shower. It is casual and rustic. They have a great selection of house wine and of course the beer. We had a lot of fun. read more

I was really impressed with this place- it reminded me of another small batch sour beer spot I visited in Asheville. Somewhat dark and relaxed vibe with all of the barrels aging Stacked directly in the seating area. The bar tenders were all very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the different options on the menu. While there, I tried Mira (blend #1) and this was a great beer. Not overly sour, but very complex. I also tried the Darkest Timeline mead, which was very sweet while also being very drinkable. Since I was there during the World Cup, they were offering a special 3$ Green Bench IPA so I couldn't pass up this option as well. Overall, everything I tried was top notch and I would absolutely recommend stopping here when in st Pete. There are a ton of great breweries in this area, but this one definitely stood out. It is located directly next to Green Bench Brewing and I will be coming back in the future when I am in town. The only downside was you are not able to taste anything prior to purchasing; however, they offer smaller pours so you are able to make a flight vs ordering a larger pour of only one option. read more

Today, I was looking for a special treat to kick off my father's 90th Birthday weekend. Green Bench Brewing has long been one of his favorite local breweries and we couldn't believe that we've never made it next door to Webb's City Cellar - until today. We were wowed with the selection of beers. As fans of sour beers, we were in Heaven when I tried Alice Blend #5 and Dad started with Blackberry Alice- a great blend of Alice with blackberries. Webb City is connected to Green Bench where they serve their most interesting beers. If you are into sours, open fermentation, lambics, etc this is the place to go. They have their own beers but feature a huge selection of hard to find bottles from lots of breweries. They have space inside and out. My favorite spot is at the bar inside so you can chat with people and the bartenders. read more

First of all WOW. Webb's City Cellar is majorly impressive. The dramaaaaaaa is everything and more. Obviously, the atmosphere is the coolest thing and it really is worth all the stars. I also love that you can hang out with your ~interesting~ beer-drinking friends at a cool brewery and still enjoy a glass of wine because Webb's City Cellar is there to fill your non-beer drinking needs. Of course it's all things cider, mead, more specialty sours, in addition to that wine for me. I like that they have a small selection because it keeps things unfussy, uncomplicated, and makes what they do serve seem very important. They also serve everything nice and chilled and the space is nice and chilled. It's the best reprieve in DTSP from the heat, that I have yet to find. Now, I don't wanna sound like a whiny kid on a playground but for real...The bartenders have not been very kind. I've been made to feel like a huuuuuge inconvenience when I try to place an order because I'll be ~interrupting~ the conversations held with (what I presume to be) regulars seated at the bar. And so if they could make me feel a lil less uncool I think I'd see myself here more often. read more

Amazing place! Great beers. They have a great selection of beers that are not easy to find elsewhere. The place is beautiful with all the wood touches and the barrels all around. There's bar seating. Outdoor seating and a nice little section with a couch. The space is big and you can host private parties. It's right next to green bench and share the same outdoor space. You can even get your beer and take it over to green bench and enjoy.... why would you do this? If I come with kids! The cellar is strictly 21+ They make amazing wild ales and other varieties. I was completely disappointed and angered by this place. 1. They had no mead. Zero. Zip. Zilch. For half the name, having none sucked. 2. They had 2 ciders. T.W.O. Again, for that being the name, piss poor. 3. The one cider I had was really no different from Angry Orchard and cost an arm and a leg. Too pretentious with the pricing on that one. 4. This place is 21+. Believe it. Don't even think about it. They'll yell at you for thinking about it. I had my sleeping son in my arms and made the mistake of holding open the door for my wife to go in and get a menu. Literally his body never entered the precious doorway, but we got yelled at anyway. Nice place. In conclusion, this is a hard place to recommend. Pricey, unfriendly, and understocked. A good Raspberry sour beer, but that's not enough to warrent a trip here ever again. read more

So this is a Green Bench Brewing Company place that is offering lots o beer and advertising that it is the largest beer cellar in the state. It is right next door to green bench and shares the courtyard but they also have a second floor. The lounge area is super chill and gets you away from the craziness of the courtyard. The beer selection is amazing to the point where I am asking what the hell is that !?!? We were here in a Saturday night and it was not too busy so we will see how it does but Green Bench Brewing Company is already a staple in the DTSP beer seen. Come try something different. read more

I absolutely love the addition of Webb City Cellar to Green Bench. They offer a good selection of sour beers and a few of their regular cores. They have a nicely stocked cooler of sour beers from all over the country. They also offer cider, mead, and wine so there is something for everyone. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The temperature in the cellar is always cool, so it is quite a relief on a hot Florida day. This is definitely my favorite brewery in St Pete. read more

It was great! Brand new building, everything still clean, you know this "new building" smell?! Located on another side of the "court yard" for Green Bench. Building have 2 story, huge room on the 1st floor filled with beer barrels, so far have some space for more. If you buy beverage in Webbs, your tub connected to Green Bench cash register as well. Nicely designed building, wide variety of beverages, view from the second story balcony makes it great spot to relax and enjoy the company ( your friends and Green Bench). read more

What's not to love about Webb's City Cellar? When Andrew and I decided to get married, we knew that we wanted a unique space. We opted for Green Bench because we loved the beers, we loved the staff, and we loved the outdoor beer garden. When we booked our wedding, Webb's wasn't complete yet, but we had our fingers crossed it would be ready to go prior to our event date in late April. We were the first wedding in the space and for that I am so honored. Sarah, the Green Bench event coordinator, was so incredibly helpful throughout the entire process! When it looked like rain was an eventuality on our wedding day, we moved from the outside beer garden to the Webb's City downstairs. What resulted was an absolutely perfect ceremony surrounded by beer barrels, low lighting, and the uniqueness that can only be offered from a space designed for entertaining. After the gorgeous ceremony, we went upstairs and celebrated our reception (which easily held over 60 people). Overall, I am over-the-moon. We often go over to Webb's City to reminisce about the wedding while sipping our favorite beverages. If you are even remotely on the fence about hosting an event here, DON'T BE! It's an amazing space and you will not be disappointed. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here for after dinner drinks on date night last week. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the differences between their different wild ales. I had a small pour of almost everything from the wild ale side. I enjoyed the Raspberry Alice and their BFBC award winning Helter Spelter. Their bottle selection is epic, and you don't have to go for a pricey bottle to have a wonderful beer. We shared a $12 Jackie O's Off the Beaten Path 3 and a $10 La Moneuse from Brasserie de Blaugies, and both were even better than the Green Bench wilds. The atmosphere is nice. I appreciate it being 21+, it's sophisticated and chill. Plus, you can't have toddlers running around playing on all the barrels, contaminating the beer and spreading infection. read more

I've been excited to check this place out since I'm a sucker for their sister company - Green Bench Brewing. The atmosphere inside is top notch! Clean and a good amount of seating available. Staff was very friendly as well! I had a 4 oz pour of the peach Alice and an 8 oz pour of the raspberry Alice. Both were very good. But I just can't get over the pricing though. For 12 oz of beer, it cost me $18! That seemed SUPER high for me considering I can get a fancy cocktail at most places in St Pete for between $9-$16 at most. Because of the pricing, I likely won't be back too soon, but I wouldn't say it's completely off my radar if they changed up their pricing. read more
