I was shopping and was surprised to see what I thought was deodorant not locked up. I asked Noelle and she said that's body wash and suggested maybe I would want to try it. I threw into my shopping cart. Very helpful. I asked one of the other ladies for an eyeglass repair kit and she walked me over and handed it to me. I walked by that area three times without seeing it. She saved me. Maria was so sweet as she checked me out. She smiled and applied all my coupons. In January i had to go 5 times for the same prescription each time was told something different, then 1/28/26 they told me they will order my novo needle tips for me, but they have NO insurance Info ???? after rude service so i checked all through February and said out of stock, then in March it said need approval ( I have a voucher from Novo Nordisk, which they entered in the computer Every TIME. i checked 4/17/26 and it said OTC, see sales clerk, so i went 4/18/ (today) and was told by Pharmacist , still out of Stock, not a very common item. I go to this CVS for random supplies like emergency floss, contact lenses solution etc. It's in a shopping plaza with a Mollie Stone's grocery and some other services and restaurants. The parking lot always seems bustling. There is self checkout in the front and I use this 99% of the time and have no issues. Don't forget to sign up for a CVS account and add coupons/deals. I find the 40% off one regular price item to be quite useful. The staff here seem a little grumpy/tired whenever I had to interact with them but I very rarely need to. read more

My previous review indicated that the worst part of the Bayhill Shopping Center's CVS is their customer service. This still remains true. I also said that the best service was typically from the pharmacy. This is no longer true. Quality of the pharmacy customer care has plummeted to the lowest of lows. Either the staff needs to be trained on how to provide thorough and friendly service with thought and care or management just needs to replace the team with people of higher work ethics. My entire family has witnessed the poor caliber of service and rude dispositions of the pharmacy staff. Recently, when I went to pick up my dog's prescription, the young girl behind the counter said that she couldn't find the medicine. I asked her to look again because we had received notice that the meds were ready for pick up. She started to ring me up for the rest of my purchases without putting effort in troubleshooting why the prescription was missing. Very annoying, especially because my son had to later return to pick up the medication...and also dealt with bad and unfriendly service. On September 5, 2022, I had to pick up my prescription. Josie (as she called herself, even though the receipt indicates, "Helped by BREANNA') communicated with me in an extremely rude manner as if she had a chip on her shoulder or just hates her job. She behaves like a miserable person who can't stand dealing with customers. They should remove her from interacting with patrons because she is unpleasant. Send your prescriptions elsewhere. It's a CVS and in a good location. Has lot of things most of my Walgreens doesn't have, so still have to come here and grab some things when I run out. It's clean and has a good selection of items you might need. But you can also hop over to another store if they don't have it because it's in a small shopping center. Only thing I would say has gone down hill is their pharmacy. The customer service use to be very friendly and helpful but have watched a lot of the older folks seem to not care as much. Always a long wait and not until 12 people and starting to extend far do you then see two people working at the register, so expect one person working register until they feel they need to help out. Also, very rushed and don't seem to offer consultation when it's a new prescription. Just some of the reasons had to change pharmacies - hope it gets with time and how it use to be. read more

I don't know if your pharmacy staff went thru proper ethics training. I called today to request a refill of my medication. I used to get my refills at CVS Bayhill, I now reside in San Diego but I return to San Bruno every six months. I forgot to bring this medication because it has to be kept refrigerated. Your staff named Na*** accused me of lying. She told me "you lied about" the date your medication has been refilled in another store. I know that Medi-cal would not pay a pharmacy if medications will be filled too early as a due date. Why would I lie to her? I JUST DID NOT REMEMBER THE DATE CVS Chase REFILLED THE SAID MEDICATION. The inside looks like a Long's Drugs from 1979. Every single thing in the store is locked up behind plexiglass. You have to stand there and press a button to buy a bottle of Tums and absolutely no one will help you. If you just keep pressing the button over and over again for about five minutes eventually an Indian woman will storm over to you like she's furious that you're bothering her by trying to purchase something from her store. She'll grab your bottle of Tums, shake it around violently and storm over to the self-checkout kiosk, scan it and throw it down on the counter before storming off in some other direction. Then you get to navigate through at least seven screens of nonsense in the kiosk to get to the point where you can actually pay for your Tums. Dollar Tree offers an infinitely better shopping experience. And these companies can't figure out why their stores are losing so much money. read more

The customer service at the pharmacy dept is horrendous; I've never had worse customer service than CVS Pharmacy Bayhill San Bruno. I picked up a prescription here and the pharmacy tech was beyond rude and looks as though she hated her job . This was my first time filling a prescription at CVS and will never come back to fill my prescription here . Two out of three of the staff I interacted with were unpleasant. One person told me the restroom was by the left side of the blue wall. Well the back wall is blue as well as a smaller blue area on the right. When I went to the left of the blue wall, she shouted at me all the way across the store down that isle that I had chosen the wrong blue wall! Worst customer service ever!!!! The personal is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful - I don't use coupons - I didn't even know that there was an app that could collect my coupons, that's my problem not CVS's, however, knowing that I clearly wanted to use the coupon that would come AFTER I made a purchase - the woman at the register told me the coupon would print out (and i was thinking it prints separately like at Walgreens) but she didn't tell me it would print on my receipt. She waited till I pressed "no receipt" button (I don't want to waste paper) and then tells me "no coupon, you didn't print the receipt" she also wouldn't help with getting that coupon reprinted for me - of course, I could return everything and get my coupon reprinted - I just didn't want to have others in line wait on me. read more

I'm surprised by some of these bad reviews. Maybe they are for people who no longer work there? I visited this CVS today to get my kids their covid boosters and it was very busy. I had a school event later that evening and we were in a rush. I called the night before (because we mistakenly overbooked ourselves) to see if we could come 15 minutes later than our original appt time and the pharmacist on the phone said they preferred we come earlier so we were there more than an hour earlier. Sadly, there were ONLY two people managing the whole pharmacy department with long lines. While waiting in line for vaccination check-in, I observed an older, slender woman at the prescription pick ups counter who seemed to be working on filling prescription orders, then I spoke to a man (I believe a pharmacist with the last name Vartainians?). He was obviously overwhelmed (they both were) but looked like they were doing their best with the crowd. He said they were busier today because it was just the two of them. I mentioned I had a school event in an hour and he said he would call me when he was ready. I thought maybe I should postpone our booster again because we couldn't miss this school event. I decided to walk around the store with my kids to pick up supplies first and in less than 5 minutes, I was called and we got our boosters and were done. Mr. Vartainians was so friendly, efficient, and kind-hearted. My kids, who were noticeably scared, didn't even flinch and he was great with them! I read the other reviews about people complaining about some pharmacists who didn't seem to fit the description of the staff that worked there today. All I noticed today were two pharmacy staff who did exceptionally well under pressure with a long line of people. On a different note, on the way out because I had a couple extra minutes now to continue shopping, I asked a CVS clerk stacking products on the floor for some help finding a few items and he was kind enough to stop his work, help me find it and offer to guide me through the self-service check out. I had a good experience at this CVS branch and will definitely return again. Thank you. read more

So I went in here to purchase some execedrin from an excruciating migraine. Went to the shelf and pressed for customer service. An Indian worker came to open it but he never handed me the item. Instead, he insisted he will bring the item to the counter. Ok fine, I guess it's some theft deterrent technique theyr're doing. But instead of going straight to the counter, he assisted two other customers that were purchasing an item from the locked shelves. As I waited there, my head throbbing, he then handed the customer the item that was locked in the shelves. What the F***! Never have I've been treated like I was going to steal sonething. So as we walked together to the line, there goes the customers he assisted after me in line. This entire transaction waisted 20 min of my time. Located in a busy shopping center, CVS has all of your basic pharmacy needs. I'm always able to be in and out very quickly here and I also like that they have self checkout counters located here. PHOTO CENTER REVIEW I took photos of my child for her passport and uploaded them to the CVS website for next day pick up. While this store has a fast turnaround, the quality was awful! The colors of the printed photos were not the same colors as the file I uploaded. My file showed my child in front of an off white background. The prints I received showed a bluish white background with an area of blue in the corner. This rendered these photos useless as they no longer met the criteria for a passport photo. The person that printed these photos clearly did not bother to check the file to see if the print came out correctly. Since her passport appointment was the same day, I ended up having to get a last minute photo taken of her at the post office. (I was trying to avoid this since they have a knack for taking the most unflattering photos of you possible). Unfortunately I was left with no choice after picking up those terrible photos at this CVS. If you want photos printed correctly, DO NOT waste your time uploading and sending to this CVS. Today I got to the pharmacy late and I got my prescription and there's an option to get cash back. well it turns out the registers did not have cash in them but how was I supposed to know that? After years of SUFFERING and being TORTURED by CVS Pharmacy -- mainly its "customer service" employees -- in the Bayhill Shopping Center, I finally gave in and followed the advice of several friends in the area -- to switch to Sunshine Center Pharmacy. This is one of the best things I've done in years! The amount of stress relief is unbelievable. The staff and pharmacists at Sunshine are incredibly helpful, friendly, and courteous -- the DIRECT OPPOSITE of how I was treated for years at CVS with their sourpussed, rotten-attitude, unkempt, nasty bitches. (Want some names?) Sunshine Pharmacy is like an old familiar "Mom and Pop" store where you're welcome and assisted in every way. I can't say enough good about Sunshine Pharmacy, so if you're not happy with your current pharmacy, make the switch -- you'll be so glad you did! read more

Tonight's closing manager here is a complete and total dick. I arrived at 11:55 PM, 5 minutes before closing. Shitty in the world of retail, yes, I know...but I only wanted a bottle for the weekend, and I would be in and out before the store closed... The grey haired old codger told me that the store was closed, and I had to argue back and forth to convince him that it was indeed 5 minutes before closing and I should be able to purchase my bottle per corporate rules if it was still within the marked hours of operation (it was). Begrudgingly he let me in.... I went to the liquor aisle, pressed the button for assistance, and sadly the same pathetic man arrived to deny every single request I had for a bottle in the back without even checking for it. why, you might ask? Because he wanted to be out of there already and going to the back to look takes time... how do I know this? The moment I asked for a bottle and he started looking around for it, I told him oh they keep it in the back... He immediately says oh we are all out. He starts listing off stuff they don't have, but then told me they had a bottle of Glenlivet 12, but when I pointed out that those too were in the back, they were immediately out... Even more suspicious, he outright refused despite being asked multiple times to go check in the back. They had closed the registers and the store fully already before the posted closing hours. pretty sure this is against corporate policy. I am going to check tomorrow to see if the bottles that were "out of stock" without being checked for are miraculously in stock in the AM... if they are, to corporate I go! read more

Dysfunctional store. Very third world with empty shelves. Have you ever heard of a drugstore that doesn't have Advil? That's what you're dealing with here. What little they had was behind lock and key. I was forced to buy an offbrand and I thought it was very rude of the lady who unlocked it that after I grabbed the one I wanted, she demanded that I handed it over to her to carry it for me to the front of the store and ensure I didn't steal it. Much respect to the cashier guy who worked today on Mother's Day. I totally forgot his name but he had glasses on. He was incredibly considerate and respectful during the checkout process. I paid cash payment for my photos, and he immediately offered me hand sanitizer after I handed him my money. And then after he gave me my change and receipt, he offered me some more hand sanitizer to use on my way out the door. He was so kind and I really appreciate workers like him who take safety measures seriously during a pandemic. Social distancing is highly encouraged at this CVS location, which is what I appreciate. There are glass screens upon checkout, and there are taped lines measuring out 6 feet distances. It's useful to highlight that all the employees were wearing gloves and face masks. Aside from that, I much prefer coming here to shop for convenience goods than going to Walgreens. I notice there is more of a better selection with everything and it's a lot more organized. Management team is doing a great job at training the staff and regulating the social distancing guidelines here. Kudos to you guys! read more

Far better location than the old SSF CVS on El Camino. And by "better" I mean no sketchy meth heads loitering out front all hours of the night. Vast selection of merch. Genuinely helpful clerks. Only downside is the hectic parking lot. This location participated in the super convenient @Curbside service once upon a time. But they don't any longer. I appreciate our local CVS stores, the managers and employees, especially at Burlingame Plaza, which is open 24 hours, and the efficiency and professionalism and helpfulness of the pharmacy employees, and also the stores at Bayhill in San Bruno, and the Daly City store near Eastmoor. I know that it is the managers and employees that make sure the stores have so many vital things needed for the home, and in my case, for the care of my homebound parents, especially things that their medical provider are not helpful with. From bandages to topical ointments, to medical devices like wheelchairs and other adaptions for the home to help people as they lose their mobility and their health declines. To be able to go to the store at almost any hour and find the things that you need, with the stress taking care of someone with a variety of medical needs, is a great relief, and greatly appreciated that the managers and clerks are thoughtful about this in helping those who shop there. read more

On one occasion, I purchased 2 Loreal Preference hair color with an ad that advertised $5 Extrabucks Reward and was refused the Extrabucks because he claimed that I already received it that week when I have not been to any CVS store for a month. The second dealing I had with the SAME manager occurred when I went to purchased 1 Loreal Preference hair color with an email which advertised buy 1 and get $4 Extrabucks reward. He claimed to know nothing of that special and when I tried to show the ad to him on my phone, he said "Get that phone away from me, I don't want to see your st***d phone. The WORST CVS. All the employees there including the manager are miserable and they don't hide it. Customer service is non existent and by the far the worst I have experienced. Ask a question and be prepared to get attitude thrown at your face or a deer caught in headlights look. The older short Caucasian female needs to go. She's been there quiet some time and all she does is give you the dirtiest look and god forbid you ask for assistance or she needs to take care of you at the register. PURE MISERY. The morning shift manager is USELESS and the WORST of them all, so don't bother escalating any issues with him.
