We've been frequenting this CVS Pharmacy for years now. Service and quality used to be really horrible. It has slightly improved over the years but is still not a pharmacy I would personally choose to fill prescriptions at if it wasn't due the limitations of our insurance. The drive-thru window is consistently not attended to and the service button to call someone is really useless as the employees take their sweet time coming to answer it. Parking and going inside is a shot in the dark because regardless of time or day, the pick-up line could be 10 people deep or empty. The employees are less rude than they used to be, at least the ones I've recently encountered, but they still don't go above and beyond to make your trip/experience there pleasant. I do also want to gripe about the mobile pick-up counter. Apparently, even if you order, checkout and pay in advance online, you can't use this counter and must stand in the regular line. What is the point of this counter and sign then? Do better, CVS Pharmacy. read more

Crummy experiences with the photo department. I got a text message saying that my photo order was ready and I made the trip out there, but they could not find my order anywhere even using my phone number name, etc. That means I had already paid for an order and gotten a notification that it was ready, but they said they probably destroyed my order because I picked it up too late. However, I went to pick it up exactly the same day as I got a text message from CVS saying that it was ready so....how does that work? The photo person was pretty dismissive and overall just rude with total lack of courtesy. Add to that the fact that the photo area was a bloody mess that looked like a tornado had come through, and I'm not really surprised that they couldn't find my order. However, being treated rudely plus not getting a photo order that I had put in and paid for was a major disappointment. They had the opportunity to make good on this by just reprinting the order but they just kept saying they had no record of it. Basically they don't know what they are doing. read more

They go out of their way to help a customer out with finding a product, utilizing any discounts available. The pharmacy staff is from another planet. Not sure why. I came in for the self service printing station. They now have a mobile upload section so you don't need a cord to plug into the computer. Uploading multiple photos at a time is extremely slow and loaded only half of each photo. I ended up having to upload each of my photos one by one in order for them to fully load. You're better off bringing a usb cable and uploading photos that way. Photos print really quickly. This time around, it was about $8 for 17 photos read more

Pharmacy is good for vaccines but HORRIBLE for prescriptions! I was prescribed a 90 day supply of a medication in cream form. The last time I picked it up, I got a 30 day supply. And it was $10 for one tube. They tried to charge me $40 this time so I said "whoa! What?" She said I had to wait in the other line and talk to the other person, which I did, and when I got to the window, after all that waiting, she pointed at my card and told me to call my insurance. Thanks for that--I just love wasting time standing in line! Just to be told to call my insurer...what kind of game are they playing here? So I called my insurance today and they said "yes, that price is for the 90 day supply, and should have been 3 tubes. A single tube is $15 copay for you." So I called these asshats at CVS again and this person on the phone started cutting me off and saying that one tube is a 90 day supply--and I had to tell her I had already talked to the insurance and they said it's wrong--that it's for 30 days and should be for $15, but they were charging me for 3 tubes and giving me one! She started telling me to talk to my insurance (listen much?) and I said "I JUST GOT DONE TELLING YOU THAT MY INSURANCE JUST TOLD ME THAT THE $40 COPAY IS FOR 3 TUBES, AND THAT A 90 DAY SUPPLY IS 3 TUBES!!!" She kept insisting it was what the insurance was saying--though I've just gotten off the phone with the insurance. I'm waiting for my provider to call me back and I'm switching to Costco pharmacy where three tubes is estimated to be about $35. Screw this place! Never again! read more

What happened at this CVS today was completely unacceptable, abusive, and unsafe. I called earlier about a refill issue and spoke with a woman named Stephanie, who was rude, dismissive, and argumentative from the start. She claimed she couldn't see my full file even though she had my information in front of her. When I asked to speak to someone else, she put me on hold and then disconnected the call. I immediately called back, left another voicemail explaining what happened, and never received a response. When I went to the store later to resolve it, another staff member tried to help, but Stephanie came out again, defensive and unprofessional. Then the manager, Carl, got involved. At first, he admitted the pharmacy had been dispensing my prescription incorrectly, saying staff had misunderstood the quantity and filled it wrong for some time. But as soon as I pointed out inconsistencies and said my concern was how I was being treated, Carl turned verbally abusive. He yelled over me, accused me of "cheating the system" and "abusing his staff," and even threatened to report me for fraud over a mistake his own staff had just admitted to making. He spoke loudly about my personal information in front of other customers, which is a serious privacy and HIPAA violation. When I told him I had call logs proving I didn't hang up and that I'd left a second voicemail, he refused to listen, saying he "didn't want to hear the message." He kept shouting to make himself look right instead of taking responsibility. My mother happened to be in the store at the time for an unrelated errand and witnessed everything. She heard him yelling and saw how aggressively he was speaking to me. It was humiliating, intimidating, and incredibly distressing. As a woman, I left that store feeling unsafe, disrespected, and emotionally shaken. No woman should ever have to endure a man in a position of authority yelling over her, trying to intimidate her, and publicly disclosing her personal information. That is not customer service, that is abuse and harassment. To make things worse, this pharmacy's records are a mess. The refill amounts I was told over the phone, in person, and online all conflicted, and some of my prescription history is missing entirely. That kind of disorganization is dangerous and dispensing medication incorrectly can seriously harm or even kill someone, especially elderly or vulnerable patients. I've filed formal complaints with CVS corporate and the California State Board of Pharmacy for verbal abuse, privacy violations, and unsafe dispensing practices. This CVS is unsafe and unprofessional. Their staff are careless, their manager is abusive, and their recordkeeping is unreliable. I can't imagine how they treat the elderly, disabled, or anyone unable to defend themselves. Avoid this location at all costs. read more

Every time I come into pick up my prescription, something about the experience is not ideal. Most of the time it's just that waiting in line takes 10 minutes per guest. Today, there was no one in line yet no one greeted me for 5 mins while I waited there. When I finally got to the counter, the person helping me spent 5 minutes looking for my prescription but never told me what was going on or what was taking so long. She just kept walking away from the counter, looking around, coming back, leaving again, etc... Her supervisor later came and helped get my prescription together but didn't really acknowledge what was going on. Super weird. read more

Recently the Rite Aid pharmacy in Pacifica closed. Most of the clients were moved to this CVS. It was not a smooth transition, but it looked like the staff at CVS were trying. It looked like they were very busy; so when they were continuously rude, my mother and I gave them a pass. But the rudeness has continued. My mother is 87 years old and every time they speak to her, they are condescending and rude. Today on the phone they actually shouted at her instead of explaining things when she was told her medication wasn't covered. It's a medication she's had for years but she did change her insurance in 2026 and was asking if it could be that or what she needed to do. She asked about good RX but did not get a clear answer and she told the girl she could not understand her, but the girl continued to shout. This is absolutely unacceptable. Most people going to this pharmacy appear to be senior citizens. Or if they are not, they are people that are ill that need their prescriptions and they do not deserve this kind of attitude. This is a business and people should take their business elsewhere. Do better! read more

Scheduled vaccines here. Showed up, checked in through text message, waited 10 minutes. Wasn't called so went up to counter, and they told me they weren't doing vaccines today due to the system being backed up. No automated alert about it being canceled, nobody checking in with me as I waited to let me know, even though I'd checked into their system. Complete waste of time. Don't schedule with them. Thank you so much for letting me stand in the pharmacy line for 5 to 7 minutes before I got to the register and you told me you were closing for lunch and I'd have to come back in a half an hour. My sinus pressure and aching body will just have to wait. From reading the reviews here, I have come to the conclusion that perhaps the owner is the problem here. Most of these complaints are regarding the pharmacy employees (and managers) being rude. I can confirm that this is indeed true as I came here to complain about the same thing. I was transferred here from Rite Aid, a place where the customers were treated with respect, not as an inconvenience. All that the owner does is refer you to Customer service but obviously that is NOT changing anything at this location. I didn't come to this store to watch their employees gabbing with each other like some kind of Social Club with no regard for the long line of people waiting to pick up their prescriptions. Even though this particular store is in a convenient location for me, I will be looking for another alternative place to get my prescriptions. read more

I walk with a limp so it takes me longer to get to my destination. I get inside cvs , same pharmacist walking out..Now it's 8pm.Shows me his phone says it 8:01pm call another pharmacy! REALLY!! IT'S 8:01PM .You know he closed early if your exiting the cvs at 8pm. Look I get the fact that people have life's to get to..but your in the medical field were that one medication can alter that whole person life. What a nice, clean, and organized CVS store. I was quite impressed. The shelves were well stocked and the isles were pretty neat and nothing was messy at all. It was super easy to find stuff at the store. Also the store was quite huge. It had a decent vaccination area too, so get your shots here. Parking was quite easy and spacious. A small CVS that probably needs a makeover - it's a little dated and dark inside with small aisles. However, at least there is typically not a line at the pharmacy so I'm able to be in and out when picking up a prescription. There is usually only ever one register open since it's not a high-volume store but it would be nice if they had a self-service option for the times that there is a line. The parking lot is also quite small and cramped. read more

Why are a majority of the CVS rated 2 stars. I moved from the Pierce Street CVS because of their incompetence. Today the CVS on Gellert St, where the pharmacy is the only department closed. So they sent me to the CVS at Serramonte, where they made me wait 45 minutes after they reviewed my prescriptions before they told me they couldn't not fill the prescription. Wouldn't deal with CVS at all if my insurance company didn't force me to use them. read more

This review isn't about how shoplifters walk in and take what they want while 1 woman at the register yells at them to stop, all the time. It's not about the back half of the store that looks like no one has walked into it in almost a decade. This is about the terrible pharmacy staff. If you enjoy waiting 30 mins in a line while 2 people in their late teens giggle and make jokes at each other instead of doing their job, this is the place for you. If you want your prescription to be just lost and have to come back 4 days later cause it was the only one they had and they just don't know what happened, you came to the right place. If you want to watch the same dude in both situations sit there and giggle until he gets called out for something, then tries to shift the blame to anyone but himself, then you probably think hes employee of the month. If you put children in a position to be managing peoples medicines then they should act like adults, and maybe step up their professionalism. I'd rather create my medicine from scratch then go here ever again for any reason. read more

I went to this store to have my passport photos taken. The lady who helped me was very patient and helpful, and I'm happy with the photos.

I've never encountered customer service like I did at this CVS. I only wish I had learned the names of the two young ladies who assisted me that day. My friend and I had just driven up from Monterey to visit the new Korean Supermarket. We decided to stop at this CVS to purchase an ice chest. While my friend was looking for her ice chest, I decided to look for Hot Wheels since I am an avid collector. I stopped the two young ladies and asked where they were located? They proceeded to walk me to the display at the front of the store and told me there were also some located towards the back of the store. One of the young ladies mentioned that she might have more in the stockroom and she would check. I was surprised by her comment because no one has ever done that before. As I was going through the display both young ladies walked up with a cart full of Hot Wheels! I was elated like a little kid in a candy store. Though the cars were 2023 models I found several I didn't have to complete my collection. Thank you to both of you for awesome customer service. Impossible to get someone on the phone for a non-medication question. The automated system never puts you through to a real person.

They are transphobic, they don't care about patient safety, they don't read the prescriptions properly, the pharmacist will just hang up on you if you aren't singing her praises, and they lie about medications being unavailable. I actually switched all my medications to another pharmacy already, a Walgreens, and have had zero of the "widespread" issues this pharmacy claimed to be experiencing. Yesterday, I attempted to pick up my partner's prescriptions before the pharmacy closed for lunch. But they had closed early. Today, I attempted to pick them up again. I was second in the drive thru line, with a car parked in front of me and another behind me. The car in front of me sat at the front of the line for 30 minutes with no interaction at the window. I called the pharmacy, and was told he was waiting until they filled his prescription. I asked if they could have him pull forward and wait, so they could help others. They said no and hung up on me. The person parked behind me got out of their car and went inside, trapping me in the line. I went to ask the man in front of me if he would pull forward to let me leave. He cursed me out, and said he was staying put. I got back in my car and called the pharmacist again. I explained that I was trapped between two parked cars, and couldn't get out. I asked again if they could have the person in front of me move. They refused again. I asked if I should call the police. They said I could if I wanted to, so I did. Eventually, the woman behind me returned to her car and moved it. The man in front of me might still be there for all I know. I left without any prescriptions, and we will be transferring my partner's medications to another pharmacy now too. This place is awful. Don't go here. read more

I needed to get a rapid at home COVID-19 test for a friend who was feeling a little under the weather. According to CVS's website, this location has the BinaxNOW test in stock so I dropped in. The pharmacist told me that the tests are kept behind the front counter. I literally waited in line for 18 minutes, because there was only one person at the cashier. A second person came out to help after I had been waiting for about 14 minutes. After my long wait in line, I was told that they are out of stock. He told me to come back tomorrow. I asked him if the CVS website saying it was in stock actually meant anything. He said said all he can tell me is that they are out of stock. So I guess that's no. What a waste of time. I went to a nearby Walgreens that indicated the test was in stock, and purchased the test there. I was in and out in 3 minutes. read more

Took the Pre-Travel COVID test that is needed if going to Hawaii. Two things that went wrong at this location. 1. The email states "follow instructions posted at the site" and "Follow signage or instructions of staff onsite." However, there were no instructions posted at the site regarding COVID testing. There were signs advertising that the COVID Vaccine was there, but nothing related to COVID testing. In case you are wondering, you're supposed to wait in line at the Drive-Thru Pharmacy line. Again, no instructions provided to people as to where to go for the COVID testing. 2. Emails states to bring proof of identity (like a driver's license), appointment email and mobile phone. They only asked for the confirmation code written on the email. I never had to show ID. They did ask to confirm birth date, but if you knew the birth date of the person getting tested, that could have been faked. Regarding the mobile phone, at no time was the mobile phone ever utilized. Preparing before you go in to get your test (which you perform on yourself), you need to read these two PDFs which was in the email as links.
