1 star review is generous. Pharmacy staff is extremely poorly trained. I waited for 1 hour in the parking lot after dropping of my Rx only to find out the tech was refusing to fill the Rx. At first she wouldn't even tell me why, then told me it was because there was a refill listed on the Rx, and that "refills" for this particular medication are illegal. So basically she (Patti) thought I had either forged the Rx or modified it. Audacious. Please understand that my dissatisfaction is not due to the fact that my Rx was not filled, instead my frustration stems from having to wait for an hour to find out my Rx would not be filled because the Pharm tech (Patti) didn't read the Rx sheet while I was dropping it off. This is a very basic mistake, overlooking refills on a paper Rx. What if this had happened with a strength or dosage requirement? Someones life could literally hang in the balance of this pharm tech not paying attention to the details on a Rx. Patti also decided to hang up on me when I questioned her reasons for not filling my RX, and asking about her not catching the issue while I was at the counter instead of an hour after the fact. Got to pharmacy to drop off a prescription at 8:58 and Vera said she could not take the prescription despite being open until 9:00. Poor customer service as I was sent by OB CVS as they were out of the pain medicine for my wife's injury. She said I could drive to PB for service before even asking what it was for. read more

The CVS Pharmacy on West. Point Loma blvd is the absolute worst pharmacy in San Diego and it has the RUDEST people working for them....If I could give minus stars I would...Here's what happened....My wife just had oral surgery and was waiting the car while I went in to drop off a couple prescriptions....There were 3 people working the pharmacy....I went to the "drop off" window and was told by a lady working that she'd be right with me....after about 5 mins, she just took off and left the pharmacy...so I waited another 5 mins or so and walked to the "pick up" section....Now there was only one person behind the counter...I said "i just want to drop off a prescription for my wife and get her home.....The lady behind the counter told me in a RUDE tone to go back to the drop off window.....She proceeded to give a lady a covid shot and then started looking in the shelves for who knows what....Finally she came to the drop off window and I gave her the 2 prescriptions and asked if they could call me when they were filled....She had the nerve to tell me not to be so rude when the pharmacy was short handed...She actually threw the prescriptions at me and told me to go somewhere else to get them filled as there's no way she was going to fill those prescriptions....This is not the first time I've had troubles with this CVS....I've had them call me to say my prescriptions were filled and I could pick them up....I've driven down there to be told they were not ready but they should be in 15-20 mins.....This is AFTER they called me and said they were ready....I've had it with this pharmacy and have gone to CVS in Ocean Beach and told them to have all our prescriptions moved to their pharmany....I'm also going to see if I can find someone at CVS headquarters to file a complaint against this pharmacy....What ever happened to "The customer is always right"...??? .....This CVS does not deserve my business. read more

I went in to get a refill of my medication, exactly what they had given me the time before. It took me 4 visits to get it but finally got it on the 4th try. When I returned home I found they had given me the wrong dosage. I immediately called the pharmacy to solve the problem and I was immediately blamed for them giving me the wrong stuff and was told, in so many words, that it was my problem, no returns on drugs even though this drug is in a factory sealed bottle. It was not a pleasant call. On one of my return visits to pick up said "wrong stuff", I also had requested a price of a drug my insurance will no longer cover and the first visit they told me it was something in excess of $50 for a 30 day supply. Yikes! I knew that was way too much for this generic drug. On my second visit I was quoted about $32, still too high for me so I went to Costco where I was quoted $10.10, now you're talkin. Do yourself a favor, shop elsewhere if you can. read more

Mask mandate reinstated for 4 weeks beginning Dec 15. Went to this cvs today and was surprised to see mask less customers. Spoke with the store manager who blew me off and said what, you want me to put a sign up?" Um, yes, sign should've been up 12 days ago. I expressed that this was concerning considering they are a PHARMACY and should be taking the pandemic seriously. He was rude, could not have cared less and did nothing. When a PHARMACY doesn't even bother to put a sign on the door saying masks required? Well, that says a lot about how much they actually care about the health and safety of their customers. The store manager should be demoted immediately. I did contact cvs corporate and filed a complaint. Absolutely ridiculous that this far into the pandemic, a national pharmacy is ignoring mandates and not even bothering to set guidelines for store entry. Needless to say, cvs has lost my business. Thanks cvs for ignoring state health mandates. You should be ashamed. read more

Terrible customer service. All I wanted to do was make a return. Every CVS said I can make the the return except this one... why? Cause they're Lazy. They kept blaming the fact they can't do a return as it being "too much" as in price if the refund back was too much. All of $75 ya know!? Wow. The old Asian man who has a few trash looking sparse hairs on his chin will interrupt you if you even try to speak. I had to stop him and ask him to stay out of the conversation at one point. S green man in customer service had the worst service I've ever experienced both times I saw him. The manager just agrees with what he says but really he was just as lazy. Their reasons were just a bunch of bologna filled excuses why they're too lazy to help out a customer & do their job ... were they "that" desperate for numbers!!??! My gosh. The store itself needs a "refresher", May as well refresh the staff (besides the middle aged Hispanic guy he was normal and nice? Lol) while you're at it!! :) read more

Today, I was thoroughly embarrassed n humiliated by the pharmicist. I am visiting San Diego cause my hubbys job has us here for 3 weeks. My son had just flew down to join us since he just graduated from college the day before. I came in so happy and in a good mood. Plus, I was happy I was going to get my 2nd shot. I went to the pharmacy and just as I got there to wait my turn, the pharmicist says: "COULD YOU WAIT OVER THERE AND GIVE THIS PATIENT PRIVACY!!" I was in shock cuz I was not right behind the patient n I literally just got there. Plus, I could tell the patient himself was a bit shocked by what she said to me. So, I said: "GEE I AM SORRY!!" So I moved over and my hubby came and asked me what did they say did you check in? I said, she yelled me n I told him what she said. Then the other pharmacy worker must of heard me tell my hubby what happened and then she rudely says to me, "DO YOU HAVE A QUESTION?" I said no I will wait my turn. I wanted to walk out so badly but I needed to get my 2nd shot. So, finally they checked me in n I went and sat down. There was an elderly patient who had been waiting for his shot and he saw everything that happened. He felt so bad for me that he told me to sit in his seat cause he had just gotten his shot n his seat was more comfortable. So, I said ok n told him he was very sweet for giving me his seat. But, as I was waiting, other people came and formed a line behind the patient and they were not yelled at to step back. I hope I was not mistreated because I am a person of color cuz everyone in line was not. This did ruin my day and to add salt to my injury the pharmicist who yelled at me was the one who had to give me my shot. Of course, she made me wait then finally gave me my shot and was civil with me at that point. I have never ever been treated like this by a pharmicist before. I should of looked at the reviews first cause I see there are alot of comments that mention they are very rude. read more

We came in, had a bunch of stuff in our basket and had to go to the restroom midway during shopping. We didn't want to leave all of our items in the basket so asked for a restroom. The store clerk told us to go across the street to use another store's restroom. We came back and it turns out that their bathroom wasn't out of order. They just didn't want anyone using it. What total crap. If I had known, then I wouldn't have made a single purchase. Horrible customer service read more

Wow! I had so many terrible experiences here in the past. I had practically written this pharmacy off but my doctor had called in an order today. I was shocked at the level of service provided. It has completely changed! The ladies working the pharmacy were so pleasant and helpful, a far difference from the miserable men previously here. I have to recognize Annalicia who went above and beyond. So helpful, didn't rush and made me feel like I was the most important priority. Nice work CVS, finally employing some associates at the pharmacy that care!! So important when you have stressed out, sick people trying to fill prescriptions. read more

I haven't been in this location for quite sometime. After being a regular for many years, I quit going. The staff all look miserable and under stress. I feel as if they are helping customers but forced to do other things as well. You do not get that one on one like before. I use to see this short friendly blonde Manager who always went out of her way to help. Even she looked like she was always in a hurry but was always personable and helpful. The staff just all look abused tbh. I see this at most locations but this one is the worst. I boycott all cvs! read more

My fav pharmacy by far. People are nice and there's never line ups. I'd go all the time if it was the closet to my place.

I only shop here for convience store purposes, never dealt with prescriptions here so I can't speak on that. I liked this place a lot more when it was longs, I will admit. When it switched to CVS, I hated it. After their remodel I must say it's not that bad. It's nice and clean the majority of the time I stop in, I'm almost always greeted and I actually like that I can use self check out. I wish more places would incorporate that already. Careful with getting cash back though, once I was supposed to get 30, but was given 40 (I did the right thing and told someone, hope he didn't pocket it!) and have been short changed with my change back once too. But that's something that can be fixed and hasn't happened again since. read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. The fact that they are rude every single time I've been there should have been enough to keep me away however they were very close to home so I dealt with them. Rudeness is one thing, but giving me the wrong prescription multiple times is another. I've moved and won't be back. They are horrible and should be shut down. read more

Super yuck! This store is wwaayyy dirty and run down! It's poorly stocked and smells terrible. Do yourself a favor and just go to the Walgreens on Rosecrans, which is open 24 hours. read more

this review is only for their pharmacy. My wife and I used this pharmacy for 3 years because it was around the corner from our home, and between the 2 of us, typically at least once a week one of us was in there to pick up something. 90% of their staff including the actual pharmacist are rude. When asking questions about medications, or refills, or certain scripts, they acted like you were the least of their priorities, and forget about calling them, they put you on hold forever, and you have to keep calling back. My wife and I would actually come home and discuss the times that were pleasant there because of how surprised we were. (because they were very few and far between) I am so happy we have moved away and will not have to deal with that CVS pharmacy ever again. read more

Too bad no MINUS 0-I am a 75 year old woman, I went to pick up my RX on the way home from the Doctors office.. Patty, the pharmacist, said she did not have it. No one was there, she answered a phone call and talked for a while, I callled my Dr., she said she was on hold for 20 minuites on another line. When Patty came back to the counter I said my Dr. is still on hold and on this speaker phone, please go answer it. She said come back in a hour, and let the other person behind you up to the counter. I asked please answer and the she yelled Get away from the counter or I will call security and have you physically THROWN out. I was scared and embarrassed. A large man came towards me so I was really scared, thinking I would be hurt before I could get out of store. As it turned out he was nice and asked me what happened. BTW my Dr.'s assistant heard the whole thing and said I will call another Drug store . I will NEVER go in any CVS, switched all my RXs to Walgreens. read more

The rudest employees of any CVS I have ever been too. I put up with it, though because it's so close to me. Only once, a very helpful employee (middle aged black man) assisted us with a friendly attitude. Most employees act as if you're bothering them. I guess I have to put up with this nonsense if I want to save time and gasoline. read more

Horrible service from their pharmacy!!! The CVS website markets their ability to ship prescription medication to any valid address in the 48 contiguous states, but this pharmacy refuses to ship my medication. So, because I flew to Nebraska to take care of my ill mother, I now have to go without my medication that I'm not supposed to quit cold turkey. They are completely fine with allowing harm to happen to a person who NEEDS their medication!! I'm tempted to get my lawyer involved since they are violating their company policy at the expense of my health. Thanks for NOTHING!!! read more

This CVS is a little disappointing. Their selection is limited in certain areas, especially in the baby section. It always seems they are out of what I need. I have been in here twice and both times the employee at the counter was unfriendly. Otherwise the store is clean, nearby, and I'm sure I'll be back when a need warrants a visit. read more

I was stoked when I saw they did passport photos. I went to the store and went to the photo center. . . . No one was there. I waited for a few minutes, no one showed up. 10 minutes passed and still no help. Finally a person that worked there made eye contact with me. . . . Then he decided to do something else. After wasting 20 minutes I went to Kinkos, got the job done in less than 4 minutes. CVS, YOU SUCK!! read more
