Once again this CVS Pharmacy failed to provide a prescription at the time promised. This has happened to me before. This time, as in previous times, the person waiting on me seemed totally unconcerned about the fact that I would have to return to the pharmacy to get my medication. However this time was worse than the others in that the pharmacy had notified by prescription provider that I had already picked up the medication, so my provider refused to pay for it. The pharmacy seemed unwilling to admit they had made a mistake, kept blaming it on a computer, and also very unwilling to get in touch with my provider and straighten things out. I am still waiting to hear form them more than 12 hours after I was scheduled to pick up my prescription. If you have any choice in the matter, do not utilize the pharmacy at this CVS. read more

Charlie is amazing! I came in to fill a prescription and shopped a bit while I waited for the pharmacist. She rang up the stuff I was buying, but I didn't noticed that I was charged extra on one of the products. So, I asked the cashier, Charlie, for help on either returning the item or exchanging it, and he adjusted it to the advertised price. I would leave him 5 stars on the CVS survey, but I didn't get a survey # on my receipt. It's really great when the employees of a pharmacy make you feel like you're in a small-town, friendly neighborhood pharmacy instead of a chain. read more

Completely useless people. The messed up my fiancées prescription THREE times now. THREE months in a row they did their jobs wrong. THREE TIMES NOW IN A ROW MY FIANCÉE WILL START HER PRESCRIPTION LATE. It's not us, it's the pharmacy tech that act like they know what they are doing. Then they estimate an hour to package a pre-filled prescription!! PRE-FILLED! Put the pills in a bag, check name and date. Done. That's all it takes. They act like they have a hard job. They act like we are the burden. Figure out YOUR JOBS! Update: Apparently they are jacking up the price now from 35 to 65.. Not only did the mess up and do it wrong yet again they are completely changing the price from last month to this month. Just don't use CVS. There are 5 other pharmacies in the area... I have never had a pleasant experience here. Usually they are run of the mill pop in pop out, check out people are cranky. Today was the worst. Saw my neighbor while picking up my redbox so walked into CVS with him before walking back to our apartment complex, while he grabbed a 6pack of 805. He goes to check out and Gives Glen his ID (mind you we are both 26 and do not look young) and he then looks at me and says well I need her ID too. I'm not purchasing anything I'm literally standing their with 2 red boxes I reserved. I then say I'm not with him and leave. My neighbor goes back to get his beer and still won't serve him after explaining. So I have to literally walk home pick up my I'd walk back but his beer because they don't sell what he likes at 7/11. All because Glen was in a pissy mood and thinks it's his job to police the sale of a 4.7% 6 pack to a 26 year old with an ID. Literally the first time I've been ID'd at a grocery store when I was not the person buying since I was like 18 and living in Pennsylvania where they actually have crazy laws so you have to buy from distributors. Glen also had very poor customer service through this whole matter. read more

This place is the worst! It always dirty and looks like its in the middle of renovation, doesn't have stock of anything, and is filled with weird creepy people. They also like to place misleading prices on their items, but the place is so skeezy I just pay whatever the clerks says so I can get out of there before I get murdered! read more

These people are horrible. I gave them a second chance just because they are a bit closer to me. I had to have a prescription transferred from the Vons down the street. I went in right after they opened this morning they told me they were to busy to call the other pharmacy and that I would be able to have them call in about four hours. There was only one lady in line. It would take them five minutes to call. First the pharmacist tried to tell me they don't do transfers by the way. I told her that they have done them before. It was like she was annoyed I was there and just wanted to give me a hard time. I also asked her how much my prescription would be because I am paying cash she told me she has no idea. I told her that I could tell her exactly what my prescription was or show her a bottle if she could let me know. She told me that they can not look it up. I called 5 other CVS pharmacies and they gave me the price. I also was hung up on twice. I told them I wanted to know what time to come in because I was getting a ride today they told me they have no idea of when they could even call the other pharmacy. Worst service ever .After this time that I get my prescription here I will never come back not even to the store . read more

I love this store. Yes, they have had a few rude people working in the pharmacy section, but they are no longer there. Everyone in the front section of the store has always been helpful and polite. I know from personal experience that working with the public is NOT easy. The only issue I have is it seems that far too often, I have encountered people outside the entrance begging money for some reason or another. I no longer donate to each and every cause as I once did, when I had a full-time job. Nor do I trust any random person/ people who claim that they are collecting for a charitable cause. UPDATE: I would like to say, AND I DEARLY HOPE MGMT IS LISTENING, that I encountered the *NICEST*, most helpful, polite, clerk this a.m. (5/31, 11:09a.m.) who helped me with my "self-checkout" transaction. She was very professional and patient. This store has the nicest employees, of any drug store that I go to. (They could certainly train some of those people, next door at Grocery Outlet, on how to interact with the public!!) And yes, I worked for over 30yrs in customer service, so I happen to know exactly what it's like!! read more

Its the Pharmacy, not the store. The store is actually well staffed. The regular pharmacist, black and grey wavy wire hair is a bit pissy and even lied to me about her system not being able to go back more than 10 days to reimburse me for an insurance claim forcing me to file a manual claim with insurance which will take 6 months to get back!!! And she knew that. I went to the another location (Washington St) for another prescription reimbursement around the same time, and they quickly went about the process of reimbursing me for a payment I made 6 weeks before. Very helpful! I was only asking for $40, so you'd think discretion to help someone with a fixed income get their $40 back was warranted. She said, as well as a young gentleman who said his "job was more important than my situation", refused because she didn't want to lose her job. I told her the other store said it was discretionary, so I asked if it was possible to REALLY lose her job to confirm the insurance exists, and pay a senior citizen his $40 that clearly is not likely within any alarming tolerances for discretion (as evidenced from the other store), and she said she would not do it and put her job in jeopardy. What a crock. Shes the manager too!!! The manager at the Washington store even shook my hand and was personable. She was cold and heartless in comparison. In my many years in business, its said a good manager follows the rules, a GREAT manager knows when to break them. Shes a liar and a poor manager. Truth! read more

So I was here a few days ago and made a purchase at self checkout. During the process a young man named LUIS came over to assist me because I had a coupon that wouldn't scan. He had to be the most rudest and unprofessional associate I have ever had the displeasure of having to deal with. As if that was not bad enough I had to drive 20 miles out of my way here to bring the items back to return because they just didn't work out as I would had liked. Although I had my receipt with me I was totally treated like a fricken moron when again it was the same associate LUIS that assisted me with these 2 returns. It amazes me that he was able to be somewhat friendly In nature to those coming In after myself. This just tells me that I was preselected by him to choose to be treated like a piece of garbage. He was even so much more of a pompous ass today than he was when I first came in a few days ago. If there is one thing I cannot stand about a person or their demeaning attitudes it is when they think they are better than you. These types of people have that way and attitude about them that just gives off such a negative aura (if you will) that it just causes tension and definitely causes someone such as myself whom won't put up with it to take matters in to their own hands. So Luis, you think your so cool treating others like idiots and speaking and talking down to others that nothing pleases me more than to call your corporate offices and make sure that your district manager is fully aware of the kind of employee they have working in their store. I hope it's just your young age that has caused your lack of manners and complete disregard for customers and the service you provide and that it's not something your parents actually taught you growing up while teaching you how to treat others. If so, they have failed you son. Allow me to be one of the many (I have no doubt) that tells you exactly how it is and makes sure you know that in the industry you work in you cannot treat people like they are garbage and filth that you are too much better of a person to be around. Poor customer service. No one seems to care. Never fill prescriptions on time. I have auto-refill and will get text confirmation that it is ready and never is when I get here. Again today I was told 25 minutes and it's been over an hour. I have taken time out of my work day and have been waiting around. The girl asked at the front if I want to come back later? I understand if they are under staffed or overwhelmed but at least quote accurate times so they people don't spend hours waiting for prescriptions to be filled. read more

CVS is a terrible chain! Even though the stores are HUGE, they're always out of stock on most things they advertise. Not to mention they've screwed up my families prescriptions several times. Giving us the WRONG PRESCRIPTIONS! Once, instead of my normal heart medicine, I got someone else's pre-natal prescription! It's just a good thing I make it a habit of looking before I leave. Also most of the employees are SO slow, as if they don't have a care in the world. Meanwhile the line is backing up the isle. It's very irritating. I constantly hear people grumbling in line about the poor service. I have since changed to a smaller drug store near my house. I will go to Walgreens, Rite Aid or ANYWHERE else, just so I don't have to go to a CVS. I only stop in to do photos occasionally because the one gal is good at printing. Other than that, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. I miss the old Long's drug store chain. read more

This is my least favorite place in the entire Midway Towne Center. All those degenerate customers from the Souplantation next door walk around in here after their meal crop dusting the aisles. I came here once to wait while a prescription was being filled for someone. I noticed there sure is a lot of alcohol available if you want to skip those pesky prescriptions and just D-I-Y - self-medicate and wing it on the dosage needed. So while waiting, I decided to buy a gallon of Ernest & Julio's finest. Shabliss I believe they call it. Excuse my French. When I got to the counter, however, they told me I couldn't pay at the counter but had to stand in a different line because I had alcohol and bla bla bla. What the... - isn't it freaking 2014? Aren't we over that prohibition crap? Just ring me up in the line I'm standing in. You have the technology! Aren't you in the cloud yet? Well then Hey! Dude! Get off of MY cloud! I'll still probably end up back here because of the pharmacy but I'll make sure to never wait and kill time in the store itself again. read more

Terribly slow. I came over from the OB location because they had run out of my prescription. The pharmacist asked when I wanted to pick it up, and I said I would wait. Then she tells me it is a one hour wait, because they have a policy. I don't understand what that means, if it is done in ten minutes I still have to wait an hour? read more

The employee asks me for my CVS card at checkout so I gave him my phone number instead, since I did not have it on me. He entered the number and it did not go through. I said " oh the card must be under my girlfriend's phone number...hang on a second." No joke the employee said to me "Don't worry about it, I already have your girlfriend's number" and looked to the other people in line for laughs, which he did not get because everyone was so uncomfortable. Are you kidding me?! Not exactly how I expect to be treated when I go into a drug store....or anywhere for that matter. Great hiring CVS. Thanks for that experience. read more

I had a bad experience with this store yesterday. Charlotte helped me and she was so rude! After my transaction with her, I noticed that I gave her $3 ecb and $4ecb and on my receipt she only scanned $4 ecb so I waited in line for like 10 minutes waiting for here even though there's like 3 available cashiers but she's not yet done with the other customer because they're having trouble with the coupons too. So then one cashier decided to help me. I told Delia about my problem and went to Charlotte to check the ecb and the later keeps on telling us that she already scanned it even though it's not on my receipt and she's telling me that it wasn't from me so I showed Delia my cvs card and they refunded me $3 but Delia keeps on telling me that it was used already so they can't scan it again but I keep on telling her to scan it again since it wasn't used at all but she don't want to do it! So I lose my temper for all the trouble that they've caused me. I don't wanna shop in this store again! Most of the cashiers are rude and not friendly at all except for the older guy. I particularly like this CVS, partly because of its convenient location - I use it for most of my prescriptions. Today I had a problem with my insurance and Erin in the pharmacy department was exceptionally helpful and patient. She spent several minutes resolving my insurance issue and was smiling and gracious throughout. She is a real asset to the store and its customers. read more

The pharmacy in this place is a nightmare. I have come here a quite a few times, and they inevitably screw something up almost every time. I cant tell you how many times I have been told a prescription was not available that was already sitting in their baskets to be picked up. Today was one of the worst, if no the worst experience yet. The prescription I was picking up was supposed to be ready for pick up yesterday. When I went to the counter to pick it up today, they said they were currently working on it and it would be done in a few minutes. They asked me to wait for just a few minutes and they would notify me when it was ready. I watched at least 3 people come to get prescriptions, get asked to wait "just a few minutes", get their meds within those few minutes, and leave... and there I was still waiting... After more than 45 minutes, I asked them if it was ready and informed them of how long I had been waiting. The lady told me it should be a few minutes, but would go check again.... Look at that, it had been sitting on the counter, ready to go, for god only knows how long. Needless to say, I highly advise picking another location. Don't waste your time with this hell-hole. read more

I needed a foot brace for my sprain ankle, the pain in my right foot makes it unbearable to walk on it. I came in for my 1st time at CVS point Loma and was greeted by a guy standing by the bagging section. I'm walking very slowly and limping when another customer comes in; a good looking woman with her kids, I swear, the greeter ran, I mean sprinted towards her to greet her and asked her up close if she needed any help finding anything to which she quickly said no. I'm still in the same spot limping my way to find the foot aisle and he just turned around. Their brace selection sucked they have a better selection online. I wanted to ask someone at the pharmacy to suggest on what could I wear for my ankle. At the pharmacy, one lady seemed to be working on something and didn't say anything to me as I stood by the counter then another lady popped from the back and they began to talk to each other and I had to leave because my foot was in a lot of pain. I walked away very slowly and I know that the saw me leave It would have been nice if they would have said hello and I'm busy can you wait but instead they completely ignore a limping woman...Will I come back, I don't think so. read more

i'm so disappointed today i went to cvs today to returned the olay moisturizer that i bought yesterday because i got the wrong one, i got my receipt, the cashier " white old guy" help me out about my returned items he's nice, when i got my money back i decided to get the correct moisturizer that i want, i bought 2, when i paid it in self check out/kiosk one of the employee of cvs "men with curly hair I think he's name is OMAR" came to me, he told me that "it doesn't mean i can return items to them it doesn't mean i can try it all!!! i told him i just BOUGHT THE WRONG ONE "MOISTURIZER " YESTERDAY that's why i returned the items and now i bought the right one! i'm so disappointed i felt embarrassed! As I walked into the store I received a very friendly greeting from one of the cashiers, I believe she said her name was Kimberly, and then she had asked if I needed help finding anything to let her know. At first I was cool with finding it myself, but I appreciated the gesture. Once I couldn't find what I was looking I had asked her for help, she was with a customer, but still Paged for a manager to assist me. Actually two came rushing over haha it was kind of fun to see the associates so eager to help. One tall brown haired man with a beard and a shorter blonde lady with highlights I think. I had asked if they had one of those cassette adapters for older vehicles so I could play my iPod on my car. The two walked me over to the aisle and placed the item in my hands and to let them know if I needed anymore help. I really enjoy shopping at this store I do not go to any other cvs. The staff is awesome I'm sure once I have a prescription I will be filling it here as well! read more
