I showed up at 1:31pm. Waited for other customer to finish with RX. They close for lunch from 1:30 -2pm. I kindly asked staff if they could make an exception to let me grab my RX as I live far from this area and have an appt at 2pm. He said nope we close at 1:30 and slammed the partition in my face! I have never been happy going inside a CVS. If it's a Saturday afternoon, why would there only be one cashier? I don't blame the employees for this one, I blame management. I went to print photos and the only working option was the hour-long. How does it take 10 minutes to load three photos?? You have to connect your phone to the printers "wifi" which is so slow btw. So for the next time, I loaded everything online (same day cvs photo order) to pickup. I get there the next day and it's not printed?? My 14-digit long order number couldn't be found? Horrible horrible pharmacy. Did not get us enough of the prescribed prescription. Was short two doses and would not make it right. Luckily my doctor was able to call in the remainder of the prescription to a different pharmacy because I will never go here again. It was amoxicillin for a baby, and they didn't flavor it like our other pharmacy does, so it smelled disgusting and tasted disgusting. The staff is rude and does not seem to care about your experience. Do not recommend this pharmacy at all. read more

This is not my "home" CVS. I hurt myself at work and went to a nearby urgent care. Knowing the amount of pain that I was in I called the pharmacy and specifically asked if they could prepare my prescriptions and how long it would take. I was sharply told "we will text you" so ai waited in my car for over an hour, no text. Finally, I went inside and ask for my meds and am told it should be done in 15 min and I needed to wait about 15 minutes. At this point it hurts to stand up, sit down, or even breath. I'm waiting and listening to them tell everybody that comes in "it'll be about 15 minutes", even the lady that said "can I also refill my such and such today." So, I basically called and waited in my car for no reason because they weren't going to work on anything until I came in. Some common curtesy would be great! read more

In general, I like shopping at CVS stores. I find them a convenient place to pick up shampoo, toothpaste, occasional snacks, and greeting cards. I like that they started carrying some salon brands of hair products. I often also like shopping for some of the holiday novelties. In general, I don't like this store. They seem to lack the holiday novelties, the self-checkout machines seem to always be malfunctioning, and I have talked to several employees who were rather short tempered. Last week, I went in to get my COVID booster. I arrived a bit early, checked in by phone (convenient) and I went to the pharmacy. The gentleman I spoke with was polite, took my info and had me head down to the aisle with chairs to wait. There was a women giving the booster shots. I was called pretty quickly. I was a bit nervous when she gave me the shot after I had sat down for only about 5 seconds and barely looked at me. She then told me to sit down and wait for 10 or 15 minutes after. No, she said I did't need to check in with anyone. She then handed me my vaccine card. I had to go back and ask, because I couldn't read anything she had scribbled on it. Anyway, I am OK and had no issues, but it wasn't the most professional way to give a vaccine. I picked up a few items before I left. There was a line forming due to the malfunctioning self-check machines. Always, it's an OK place to get a few household items, but it's not my favorite CVS and I wouldn't go back for a vaccine. read more

I would give them a negative rating if I could. This is the worse CVS I have ever been to. Terrible customer service, they do not call you back when you leave a message with a question. I had a prescription transferred and tried to call and check to see if it was ready and they do not let you talk to anyone, you have to leave a message. There is an automated phone system but if it is a new prescription your name is not in the system yet and there is no prescription number so you cannot check on through the system. I called and called and could not get through. I will NEVER go back to this horrible CVS. read more

I was in the store to pick up money sent to me thru money gram & Miguel, the mngr, totally took control & completed the transaction for me. Pharmacy never answers their phone. I was on hold for 1 hour and 17 minutes the other day. Now, I have been on hold for 14 minutes and counting. They do not read what the doctor writes on the prescription, such as cash pay - they just run it through the insurance anyway and put the prescription on hold. Or they do not have it in stock. I saw a dr at the minute clinic (went well) and when I asked the pharmacy to transfer the prescription to my home pharmacy I got so much attitude and backlash from the technician working. He reluctantly gave me the pharmacy number after brushing me off any legit saying "fine if you don't wait 15 mins the other pharmacy has to call". I said ok, That's fine I don't want to wait when I can pick this up at home, I called my pharmacy within a minute of leaving CVS and my pharmacy has now called 3+ times and sat on hold well over 20 mins with no answer. It just now took me 25+ mins on hold being told they are busy and asking if I just want to hang up to finally get them to say they will call my pharmacy now. (Why didn't they call when I was there In person asking?!?) How dare I not refill my prescription at their facility to make them more money. I will NEVER use this facility again after the treatment I received over transferring a prescription to something more convenient for the patient. Wow. Health care customer service here is a joke, it's all about the money with them. This location is the best CVS I've ever been to. The pharmacy staff is super friendly and they actually know what the hell they're doing. Whenever my prescription gets messed up at another location, I come to this one and they fix it every time. They're quick and they call you on the speakers when your stuff is ready. The cashiers are always friendly, and the guy who works the makeup section has GOT YOUR BACK . He'll tell you all the deals, return info, and brand knowledge you need to know and he will nevvvver let you just stand there looking confused. He sees you and he got you. Everyone is great here - Not to mention the sheer entertainment provided by the other patrons. This area of Pt Loma is chock full of people who just can't figure out their lives and they provide pure, unintentional COMEDY by the door, all day. read more

Rude staff. Brought my 70 year old Dad here because he needed his prescription from back home. Yes he should have thought of it before he came out or when he noticed he was running out of his pills. Parking is always a nightmare here so I dropped my Dad off and went to park. He couldn't remember the name one of one of his medications so he called his pharmacy. The girl (wish I got her name) said "well you better hurry up because I'm leaving in 10 minutes and I'm not waiting" We were there before 1 and the website said they are open until 2. I've been getting my medication for about a year now. The pharmacy is great about calling me when my next refill is ready to be picked up. They even got me on a 90 day refill plan so I didn't have to come in every month. I recently moved and had to change my pharmacy location. It was just an easy call to get my medication transferred to another location. Haven't had any issues with this location or getting my medications on time. The store overall is pretty well kept. Better stocked some of the other CVS locations I've been to. Overall I have no complaints about this location. I will see how the next one goes once I get my medications transferred. read more

This location was descent. I was looking in the beauty section and lots to choose from. I liked that. Certain items were on sale. You just have to look. Aisles were clean. Everything was organized and in order. I definitely like going to CVS for items. Watch out for those bucks you get back when you spend so much on certain items. I definitely like free money back. You need to have a CVS card in order to get bucks back and the items on sale. Since I frequent this location a lot, I would occasionally stop here for items. Plenty of parking up front. Today my friend and I went to this CVS to buy some snacks, lip liner, and black nail polish. We both smiled when we walked in and said hello and were IMMEDIATELY followed by the gay gentleman near the beauty department. My best friend and I both have tattoos, we're in our bathing suit tols and sweats from coming from the beach and had small bags, no signs of customers who are looking to steal, we are also part of the LGBTQ+ community. He continues to follow us through the entire beauty department making unsolicited suggestions and making us really uncomfortable. I've worked for Nordstrom's, Macy's, and ulta in the beauty department for the last 8 years so I know signs of following a guest who you think is stealing but my friend and I did not deserve this treatment at all. He even followed us to the register to assure we had all the products, extremely unnecessary. Omg the women that work there... they are just soooo sweet, and just the way they were with me so kind and caring. Very warm people! One of the doctors checked my temperature and my blood pressure (maybe it was Terry?... Im assuming because a woman named Terry left me a voicemail) before getting the nasal swab done for my Covid test results. The lady was so cute, at first the blood pressure reading wasn't working, she was jokingly saying.."oh no you're a zombie, you're to pretty to be a zombie let's try it again, shake your hands take a few deep breathes in and out" it worked the second time she said "oh it worked, see i knew you weren't a zombie" haha we both laughed, but she did let me know that my blood pressure was kind of higher than normal and asked me if I was nervous. I let her know that I'm taking a low dose of adderal in the mornings but I am just generally under a lot of stress and anxiety lately, and before my flight departure to Germany tomorrow. The other doctor that took my nasal swab was also super sweet, she was guiding me through the whole procedure, and I received a callback with my negative result within 20minutes and the official result online accessible through my chart within an hour.
