I've called the parent company to get a medication approved as it's not on the local CVS 'formulary. Aetna approved it after getting more info from my doc. The local pharmacy said they never got the faxed order even though I watched my doc send it to the same fax where my other meds had been sent and refilled. I never did get it so my doc sent in the med I was on before which is not working well. I plan to change my part D coverage in oct. there have been other problems as well with this company.

I feel horrible for the staff because they are overworked, they are juggling a huge location, and none of the customers here are ever satisfied. I usually come here on Sundays in the morning. It's usually filled with about 10 customers and be maybe two staff members. I'm not sure what the crowds are like on Saturday night but it always seems like they ran through the store. Products aren't always stocked. Things are generally placed all over the place. So finding the things you need is somewhat of a hunt but generally always in the same area that it is supposed to be. So naturally that brings some frustration but the store is huge and spacious that they have a lot of alternatives to keep you happy. You'll also find some very niche items like firewood, knee braces, elder care supplies, at home testing kits and more. Lastly parking is fantastic. They have a lot which they share with a couple of side businesses.

Not only do they remember me, they always make a point to catch up about life & ask how I'm doing. They also notice when I'm unwell & have filled scripts for me on the spot if they're not ready yet. They're knowledgeable & take the time to answer all Q's about medications & their interactions. Literally life savers behind that counter, I don't know where or how'd I'd be without their help these last few years, as them filling scripts on a short notice prevented so many unnecessary UC or ER trips. She gave us hostile looks, acted irritated when we asked questions, and made us feel unwelcome before we even reached the register. When we went to check out with about $160 worth of merchandise, the tap-to-pay reader would not light up, beep, or respond. Instead of considering that the machine might be the issue, she immediately blamed my card and even claimed the payment had processed multiple times, despite nothing appearing on our end. Then the next customers had the exact same problem with the exact same machine. Her entire demeanor changed. She suddenly became apologetic, helpful, and immediately took them to another register. With us, she was dismissive, accusatory, and unwilling to help. With them, she immediately found a solution. We confronted her about the obvious difference in treatment and told the manager directly that her behavior toward us was racist. To the manager's credit, he was professional and handled the situation appropriately. The employee was the problem. We are minorities, and the contrast in how she treated us compared with the very next customers was impossible to ignore. This was not simply poor customer service. This was clear, blatant racist treatment. No one should spend money at an establishment where the quality of service appears to depend on someone's race, ethnicity, or appearance. Every customer deserves the same basic dignity and respect. She should be immediately fired. We will not be returning.

Completely useless people. The messed up my fiancées prescription THREE times now. THREE months in a row they did their jobs wrong. THREE TIMES NOW IN A ROW MY FIANCÉE WILL START HER PRESCRIPTION LATE. It's not us, it's the pharmacy tech that act like they know what they are doing. Then they estimate an hour to package a pre-filled prescription!! PRE-FILLED! Put the pills in a bag, check name and date. Done. That's all it takes. They act like they have a hard job. They act like we are the burden. Figure out YOUR JOBS! Update: Apparently they are jacking up the price now from 35 to 65.. Not only did they mess up and do it wrong yet again they are completely changing the price from last month to this month. Just don't use CVS. There are 5 other pharmacies in the area... I stopped by CVS this evening to pick up some stuff that I needed. The store was brightly lit and I found what I was looking for, but the parking lot was a bit sketchy. There were also homeless people hanging around out front. I'm not sure this is a problem for CVS specifically, but it's not a good reflection of this pharmacy. The staff member who checked me out was nice enough. But it looked like the store didn't have enough employees. read more

Wow, the shorter woman manager needs to get off her high horse and start treating customers and employees with respect. I thought that talking down to customers was just reserved for us, but low an behold, i witnessed her being mean and demoralizing to several employees (i go there a lot since i live next door.) I'm so glad that the best, most knowledgeable, and friendly pharmacist , Ivy Rooney went and started her own pharmacy called simply, "Ivy Pharmacy" on 4th Ave downstairs from Martinis Cocktail bar and directly across the street from the entrance to Club San Diego. I fully support patient privacy act, but as a pharmacy manager ( she told me via 2nd call, she is a manager ) you have to evaluate what type of questions were asked. The question I asked was a simple counseling question. They way she handled this situation indicates an inefficient operating process. We want to support local small business, but the way she handled this small piece of information request was inadequate. I'm not surprised this pharmacy only has 3.5 star review. If the owner of Pride Pharmacy care about customer feedback. Please make sure your internal management level is trained on how to conduct business in a more efficient way.
