This review is specifically for the short lady that was working 5/23/2026. This is not my first negative experience nor my second with her. She has zero customer service skills, also hasn't been trained properly on how to use the lotto machine (even though I've seen her use it before, for me!) One time she was in the back snacking on chips and wouldn't put the chips down to get me checked out so I could be out of there in a timely manner to get to work and all I needed was a lighter, she didn't wash her hands before she took my money after feeding herself. 7-11 if you want to continue to loose money because your employee refuses to actually try to do her job, you have your girl. so I went across the street and gave them my $4 to get my power ball tickets. I would like to make a formal complaint about your completely incompetent employee Adriana. The way I was just treated in the store because she has to clean up a small mess that is her job and she yells at me for not doing her job. She forced me to get napkins and clean up my own area? I'm sorry why is she working at this seven eleven? She works in customer service it is not my fault the cups for drinks are consistently misplaced. She even took a step further to insult my mother. I would like to speak to the manager as soon as possible about this as this is the worst most incompetent treatment by an employee working in customer service. While this place is surrounded by homeless (and hepatitis) leaving behind piles of garbage to remember their wonderful presence, the interior of this 7-Eleven is always neat and orderly. The staff at the 7-Eleven on Bacon St. go above and beyond to ensure you find what you are looking for and are satisfied with your experience. A lot better service here than fancy restaurants I have been too!! While the majority of 7-Elevens offer similar products, this location is my favorite to grab a snack, food, any drink under the sun, and even household needs at a surprisingly low price for the convenience of it!! read more

Went in as usually to get a slurpee and we didn't get greeted at the door but they ended up being pretty nice. Everything looked pretty clean and the taquitos actually caught our eye. We ended up getting some steak and cheese taquitos and one taco one. They were good and I would recommend them. 3 taquitos for 3 with the 7 eleven app plus you get points towards your next visit. They were playing some old school 80s and 90s music and it felt like a vibe. Can't go wrong with the price for a quick bite and it's a couple minutes from the mission beach. Stopped in to grab my morning coffee. Staff was preoccupied, location outside needs a deep clean. Someone stepped in feces and drug their foot to clean it off across their sidewalk. Litter in the parking lot, just overall not well cared for. Didn't have the coffee containers all filled like I'm used to at other locations. Arrived for a Slurpee today and noticed the coolest thing for sale. This is a 2 pound rice crispy treat. Easy way to get a lot of those squares in a hurry for 12.00. My morning routine is the same. I wake up with the sun, and head to the bathroom to drop it like it's hot and shower. I know, waking up with the sun sucks. It doesn't matter if I go to bed at 10 pm or 2 am after closing a bar down. Either way, I am up with the sun. Anyways, a morning a few weeks proved no different than the previous 764 or the subsequent 26, up with the sun and off to the bano. I enjoy a little sudoku in the morning. Gets the brain gears moving and when I complete a puzzle, I feel really good about myself, like I got up and ran 6 miles or something. I don't care that I simply deuced and did a frickin number puzzle, I get hyped. In any case, the only ones left on this morning in the old sudoku book were "Demanding". Man, I love beating demanding in the morning. It may take me a few days, but it sure feels good. I get pumped up like Kevin Garnett, scream, pound my chest, autograph the puzzle, and scribble "Demanding is Bitch", underline it a few times, wipe, flush and shower. At this point, if anyone is still reading, which I doubt, you are wondering why the hell I am talking about dropping it and sudoku. You want to know? I'll tell you. So on this morning 26 days ago, I finished a Demanding puzzle in one sitting. I've never done that. Not that I can't, but I gotta eat breakfast before I head out for my day. Man, I was pumped. My day was gonna be awesome. I scribble demanding is bitch, gave about 7 fist pumps, and go to wipe. Oh SHIT (literally)!! No fucking toilet paper. I look in the cupboard. Damn. So I flush, and put on some chonies and jeans, and hop on my cruiser. The only places open in OB at sunrise are Lucy's and 7-Eleven. Lucy's doesn't sell TP and I don't feel like going there with an unwiped bum (though I bet I wouldn't be the only person with an unwiped bum in that establishment at 6:14) so I ride to 7-Eleven. Some people love 7-Eleven's. I don't. I don't like Slurpees, junk food or over priced domestic beers. So I walk in, find a single roll of TP ($1.79- worth every penny), and walk up to the counter. I set it down, and I get sideways look from the cashier. "Oh shit", I think, she knows I just dropped it, and wasn't able to wipe. I look away feeling uncomfortable. Give her my money. She puts the TP in a black bag. WTF. It's not an adult gift!!! Is that her way of saying I know you got poop remnants in your pants. So, I grab it like I am 15 and buying tampons for my GF, make no eye-contact and walk outside as fast as possible and wonder how many people buy the single roll from 7-Eleven each day. Five, ten, thirty- seven. This is OB, it's not like the average joe is a high a functioning human being that can keep their place stocked with TP. Rather, the average joe is simply high. In any case, this place gets 3 stars for being in the neighborhood, being open 24 hours, and having TP. read more

Surprised there aren't more single-stars for this location. I go to this 7-Eleven at least twice a week, and have been for several years. I have repeatedly witnessed the owner/manager/whatever being shockingly rude to customers, as well as standing by while her staff was rude to customers. If you look like you're younger than, let's say, 25 or so, except to be treated like you are the world's biggest criminal. Major age-ism here. If there is anything about you that anyone can discriminate against in any possible way - expect to be watched the entire time you're here. Other than the owner, the staff is generally friendly - which is really saying something since they have to work with her all day, I'd be in a sour mood allll the time. Once, I saw the Pepsi delivery guy filling up a Big Gulp for himself, and the owner went over and started nagging him about making sure he pays for that - basically accusing him of stealing it before he had even gotten the lid on the cup. First, don't assume people are stealing stuff unless you actually see them walk out of the store with it. Second, let the Pepsi have a free Big Gulp, it was like a million degrees outside and he lugged all that crap in the store without as much as a thank you! The old lady who runs this rat-trap is the rudest and most horrible person I have ever encountered in Ocean Beach, hands-down. She is phenomenally rude to customers, although I noticed it seems to be all customers under 30 ... the only time she ever was polite to someone it was a person also over 60. I guess it IS my fault that she's 100 years old and works at a freaking 7/11. Apparently she also thinks that my goal in life is to bankrupt her little franchise by getting refills. There has never been a time that I have felt compelled to write a review about a business. But my recent experience here was so negative, it was necessary. I went into this 7-Eleven with the intent to buy a donut. The employees here were incredibly disrespectful. When I politely asked an employee a question, he treated me like I was stupid then proceeded to speak in a foreign language to his coworker gesturing to me and laughing. I have never been so openly disrespected by staff. After getting my donut and approaching the cash register, the cashier didn't acknowledge me. When she didn't know the price of my particular donut, she held it in the air, and shouted across the store to her coworker inquiring the price. After some banter back and forth, he came to the register and priced the donut, all while she squeezed and pressed into my donut with her fingers. Such an awful experience. I left feeling as embarrassed and mistreated as my donut. read more

I know it's only 711. Been to hundreds all over the country but this one has gotta be the worst one. Very rarely is there a cold soda in the box. Several items are passed expiration date. No one knows how to use the lottery machine. Most of them are rude, slow as molasses and dumber than dirt. I've been in O.B. almost ten months and they've had a "help wanted" since day one. Sometimes you just need to make a mish to the sev! I recently found out that they have stamp cards for Slurpees! Yes, you read those words correctly, buy 6 slurpees get one free! Awesome! Also, my sister wanted to buy Nachos but was afraid of being jipped on the cheese, the cashier heard her worries and offered to fill the entire plastic boat with cheese. When living in a place like OB. There's some things that just don't go over that well. People who refuse to pick up after their dog. Not stopping for pedestrian and bike traffic. And the corporate machine that seems to dominate our lives. But one corporate entity seems to do well in OB. 7-11. And the one on Bacon and Voltaire seem to do okay. The owner/manager is there daily and runs a tight ship. The place is clean and even the grill food is fresh. That's saying alot since I've been to other 7-11s at bought a chili dog that had been sitting on the grill all day. YUCK!!! Not here. The staff is usually friendly and witty. As much as they can muster being that they work at 7-11. Hey, in these economic times, a job is a job. New addition to the day shift is Amanda. She's a spunky one. She sparks up conversation and makes me laugh every time. Best part about this store is the $.99 refills. Some places do their best to not tell the customers these little secrets. Not the case here. But refills up to 44 oz (32 oz for Slurpee) are only a buck. And any cup will do! read more

Thank Heaven for 7-Eleven! They are open all the time and have a little bit of anything you might need on the spur of the moment. They even have ripe fruit in the deli. That's right, I said ripe, not overly ripe; although one should always act with caution. Sev' is great! This location has a large variety of Arizona teas available. Sandwiches are fresh and flavorful (I'd love to see them use an avocado or hummus spread instead of mayonnaise however; for health reasons, but I don't know if they are made there or shipped in daily). They have good prices on little last minuet candies and a good selection of healthy trial mix. This location supports local causes (OB Fireworks! Donate! & slowly stock up on marshmallows.... which Sev' also carries!). Sev' always has my 'oops I forgot it to pick it up at the store' items, they even had spaghetti when I need it! I enjoy that they have RedBox out front and that the store and parking lot is always brightly lit especially when I'm there in the middle of the night. The employes are always helpful and happy to be there and carry on a little chit-chat. They also don't take any crap from people while still being courteous, which I like. My boyfriend and I just had the worst experience while getting pizza. Girl with the curly hair and glasses was changing trash bags. She ignored us for awhile until she finished. We ordered pizza. She started putting gloves on without washing her hands. My boyfriend asked her to please wash her hands before handling his food. She rolled her eyes at us as she walked over to wash her hands. Then was shaking her head while she put her gloves on. I asked her if there was a problem and she said we were rude. I'm sorry it's never rude to ask someone to please wash there hands. Open 24 hours so it's a great place to stop on your way home from Lucy's or Tilted Stick for a little snack or beverage. Decent store for 7 Eleven and higher customer count. Parking can sometimes be a challenge. Store cleanliness is ok for being a higher customer volume beach location. Staff friendliness and helpfulness is mixed depending on who's working there. Store is located in a good location for this area. read more

The cranky old lady who runs this place makes me never ever wanna come back here again! I have a service dog I have with me every time I am in the store. I know she is little but she is still a service dog. Why I need her is none of your business! I even carry her in my arms instead of leyting her walk whilst in the store. Today upon my entering the store I was reminded that dogs are not allowed in the store. I again reminded her that she is a service dog and went about my business as usual. Upon exiting the store I overhear a conversation btwn the cranky old manager and an employee of hers about y someone would possibly need a small service dog... Her exact words as I was passing by were 'it must be traumatic stress syndrome or something. Y else would someone need a service dog like that. Pathetic.' I am at a loss for words....
