Long story short, I have been going to Walgreens by my home for a while, but they have been slacking a few times and the people there seems miserable and unhelpful. My 4 year old son got an infection and needed antibiotics and Walgreens gave me the run around all day, till I finally came and said they were sold out and for me to call around and find a pharmacy that had it in stock to transfer my son's prescription. It's late and most pharmacies were closing so I was scared I wouldn't be able to help my son. I called McKee to see if they had the antibiotics in stock and they did, but was closing in 10 mins after I called around 6pm. I rushed over way past their closing time, and a very helpful and kind lady helped me out and I was able to get our electronic prescription from Walgreens transferred over to McKee Medical Pharmacy. I was an emotional wreck that night because no parent likes seeing their child suffer, and it was getting late, I felt hopeless and I was afraid that I couldn't get his medication that evening... Thanks goodness for McKee staffs and pharmacist for helping a frantic mom out, I am so so so grateful and thankful for your help! My child took the antibiotics that night and woke up feeling much better already the next day. I am so glad he did not have to suffer a night due to Walgreens negligence. The pharmacy is located off of N. Jackson & Alexian and the tiny brown building can quickly get overlooked. Sure the establishment could use some jazzing up and but the most important aspect for me is customer service. Pharmacists are kind, prompt, welcoming, and extremely thorough when it came to providing medications for my daughter. The staff were friendly and respectful, but be prepared to wait. The facility is a little outdated and run down but I appreciated that they made it work for me despite their staffing.

I usually go to Long's since it's super close to home, but the lady insists she can get my prescription done within 15 minutes. I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to time because I don't have much of it to waste and I'm always on the go so everything has to be super on time and efficient, but surprisingly she got it done in less than 10 minutes. Before I left she even gave me those Vick's or Vic's vitamin candy thing. I guess it's some sort of a thank you gift for putting your prescription(s) there. Previously have sent me another customer's info via message (HIPAA violation). Have failed to get signatures when delivering expensive meds that I requested to confirm delivery of. Unreliable for use for high-acuity meds for IvF and early pregnancy support. Barely deliver enough meds so constant, frequent refills are needed- really have to keep on top of everything (and them) because you never know when they won't be able to deliver a med on time. Two of my meds are currently unavailable and one is being filled thru another pharmacy/ alto claims it will reimburse but who really knows?? For a concierge level delivery pharmacy, they really under perform.
