Have been going to this pharmacy since 1978 - when it was wonderful Long's! Pharmacy was great as long as Tom and Elisa were pharmacists here. After they retired- or did CVS ask them to leave and replace them with totally incompetent pharmacists when they took over the business, the customer service has been dangerous and completely untrustworthy. Cvs corporate and their designated Customer Service "manager" are unresponsive and negligent - unforgivable in a health care setting. I agree with review regarding no carts in the store. Cvs response is that "carts get stolen". There are stores within a two mile radius that don't seem to have this problem, eg Walgreen's, Lucky, Safeway. Very sad state of affairs at this CVS - it is the worst! read more

I had a really bad customer service from one of the technicians, Christine. In the middle of the transaction she just left the counter without explaining what she is doing and did not come back for ten minutes. Then When I told her she should have notify me as a courtesy that she needs to attend to something before walking away, she got upset and blamed me for not finishing the transaction which is not true. When I told her I will report this; she said she has been working at CVS homestead Santa Clara for 4yrs and it has been short staffed and regional manager has not been doing anything. This particular location has been doing really poorly in terms of customer service and now have emplyee even arguing and fighting with customers. Don't place any online order for store pick up- Order never received by store- even though they sent email- there is no option to cancel and get refund online- on email-no phone # other than the store number who already told me that they didn't receive the order- called 1800 SHOP CVS (phone hours 8-7) who said they will auto cancel and refund after 3 days if you don't pick up- can't process cancellation or refund by the customer service today-cashier tried to have me do another online order- which doesn't make sense since CVS already messed up online order and not willing to refund me the money read more

Doctor called in 2 prescriptions. 51 hours later I went to pick them up. One wasn't ready and the other they would have to order (which they hadn't done)!!! They said it was because they were backed up. Yet only one cashier was working both drop off and pickup. Could see only one pharmacist. I am thinking that they don't start to fill your prescription until you show up after waiting in the pickup line. The checkout staff are very helpful and pleasant, though. read more

This is strictly for the Minute Clinic and my experience. Today, I went to the minute clinic to get my typhoid travel vaccination because I will be traveling to Indonesia for a little over a week. I saw two NP (one being a student). I was consulted by the NP to get the injection instead of the oral because of how close to my departure date was. So I agreed, I was charged $142.00 out of pocket because they don't accept medi-cal insurance. Received my vaccine, the paperwork and out the door I went. Later that day, my fiancé went to the same minute clinic to get the same vaccine. He was told by the NP that he didn't need or recommend that he get it since his departure date was too close and that the antibodies don't actually form until 1-2 weeks after exposure to the vaccine. Therefore, if he were to become sick - it wouldn't actually help to the degree it should. So he decided not to get them and called me to tell me. I was livid!! The NPs failed to educate/consult me on this information leading me to believe that it was necessary. I spent $142 on something that won't potentially help if I get sick!? Do yourself a favor and skip this place!! Just go to the immunization clinic off on Lenzen Ave. in San Jose! Fees and vaccination costs are way cheaper. I called minute customer service to tell them that their NP failed to educate me and had I known the full information- I would not have consented to it. read more

Don't do drugs, kids. Unless your doctor instructs you too. Then by all means. The clerks here are friendly, and usually I'm greeted by somebody as I enter the store. The couple times I've been to the pharmacy, the pharmacists have always been helpful. Drugs can be extremely pricey (my doctor wrote me a prescription for name-brand drugs that rang up at $1400, or $450 for the generic equivalent), but I mostly blame my high-deductible plan and our broken healthcare system. The store has wide aisles and big signs that are easy to read from anywhere, and is clean and organized. I wish I could say the same about the restroom. The men's restroom was only marginally cleaner than a typical gas station restroom. Don't go in there unless you have no other option! read more

So let me get this right. There are 10 employees in the whole store including a guy looking so bored at the photo counter he might kill himself, but there's only one register open? And the person at the one open register rings people up, answers phone calls, *and* does price checks? Makes sense to me. Unbelievably the manager of the store was in the slow-moving line behind me, but still didn't open another line. And then one entrance/exit is emergency access only. There's no way to know this when you're inside the store and want to leave (hint to Longs: a sign might be a good idea), that is until you get within 3 feet of the door. Then, all the alarms sound and literally scare the crap out of you. If you look carefully my little pile of dooky is still over by the by the emergency exit doors. read more

Well, I guess I am the duke of this place (for now) so I owe you all a review. Here's the most important information I can convey: Pharmacy Hours M-F 08:00 AM - 09:00 PM Sat 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM I updated the Business Info with the overall hours, but there's no way to convey a separate set of hours there, so there you go. Easy to assume that you'll be able to pick up meds at 6:30 on the weekend, but nope. This place is a mixed bag as far as I can tell. A bottle of hand sanitizer I bought here poured into my backpack because it was never screwed on correctly. Most of the people at the front check-in are friendly, and a few are kinda cool (guess it's improved since 2007), while the pharmacy just varies a lot; the younger girls there won't even let you get a "consultation" when you pick up a new prescription, while the older lady won't let you avoid it (I'm torn on which is better, honestly). I definitely recommend signing up for their loyalty card and mailing list because they do send out 25% and even sometimes 30% coupons with some regularity (and you can choose to "send to card" which is cool). read more

Who has time to review a convenience store/pharmacy? I don't... but I'm really impressed by this location. I'm not from the area and I stumbled on this location yesterday because it was on my way home. As soon as I walked in, there was a nice lady standing there asking if I need any help etc... normally I would have to flag down someone & they would make me feel like I'm bugging them. Anyway I didn't need any help and went straight to the pharmacy. There was no line and the intern pharmacist was really nice & answered all my questions. When I went to check out, there was no line either & the cashier was really nice as well. I've never been to a CVS location where the service is excellent from the beginning to the end. Maybe I was lucky they weren't busy... but still, I'm really impressed by the service that I have to write this review. read more

This is by far the worse CVS I have ever been to . The pharmacy staff is horrible and the wait times are unbearable . Don't bother pre ordering your meds . It makes no difference . They really need to get more employees or different ones . Currently there are at least 7 cars behind me waiting . There was only one car in front of me and I had to wait 25 minutes . So if you have a day off , go ahead and come here . Bring a big book to read or listen to a podcast because you will be here for a long time read more

Not my favorite pharmacy for few reasons 1. The line is very long and the staff does not create new line. 2. I had a coupons for Nexcare products and the cashier was giving me hard time before she scan the $1 coupons. They do carry better product since they changed from Walsgreen to CVS but the service is still the same. If not for the bandage and dressings which they have in stock, I would prefer Rite Aid or the CVS in San Bruno. read more

I told by husband to bring me a nutrisse color when he asked me if I needed anything from CVS, he said a customer approached to him advising this particular brand and handed to him. I immediately opened as he was telling me about his experience (a woman will understand) when I saw the seal was hard to the touch like crazy glue on a tape...yup the entire kit was used and replaced by a Dog item and empty containers squeezed out. 4/15/19 @6:30pm I've never met anyone so rude and unprofessional in the retail service. I expressed my feelings of frustration and injustice due to the fact that I was waiting in line for over 15 minutes due to complications between a cashier and a customer and that when splitting a line the proper curtesy should be helping the next person in line not the person who you personally feel deemed for your own convenience. The response from this employee who claimed to be the manager was very aggressive, defensive, rude, and highly unprofessional. They told me they WILL NOT help me and that I should leave the store and to NEVER return over the fact that I expressed my dissatisfaction by the way I was treated. This man who claimed to be the manager literally did not have an ounce of professionalism because of how easily he snapped and instantly was rude over a minor inconvenience to him. read more

There is one cashier there though - a large woman - who possibly by sheer chance always has something negative to say to me. I don't know if it's just me, or if she has gripes with most customers. I shouldn't write this while still fired up, but I can't believe that I've just waited over an hour at the MinuteClinic, for the lady to say she won't help me. All I need is a single page physical form filled out for my competition race license. It is not complicated, or anything special beyond a regular sports physical. My usual physician gets it done in about 5 minutes. The lady reads the word "competition", asks what it means, and I explain its for driving race cars. She says, "we don't do race car physicals". No, ma'am, you do people physicals, specifically for SPORTS. She continued to explain that she can only sports physicals, but this says competition... I'll let that sink in. Don't come here. I like to know my medical professionals have two brain cells to run together, and whomever I spoke to today seems a couple short. read more

I have been going to this CVS for more than 19 years. But, they are close to losing my business. Their phone service is abysmal. I was placed on hold for more than ten minutes twice in the same day and never had a CVS employee actually answer the phone. They also refuse to provide the full amount of medication required by my physician. Very disappointing!! read more

Had a 30% off coupon that was about to expire. I decided to try this one since it's close to my workplace & I get an hour lunch. The plaza itself looks pretty run down & I just had this feeling inside wasn't going to be much better. The store didn't seem too organized. Pretty much stuff I seen at other CVS stores, this place didn't have. I thought the one off The Alameda was bad, but this one is just as bad. The only good thing I can say is that the customer service was good. I was greeted on the way in. I was asked if I needed any help by stock clerks stocking the shelves as I walked down the isles. Just for the pharmacy. I have had nothing but trouble with my prescriptions. Today they needed to process a refund, and it took a long time and was overly complicated. The clerk said it was "entirely her fault." I told her if it was just her, I would avoid her, but instead I will avoid this whole pharmacy. The pharmacists consult was also so useless and uninformed. He literally said look it up when I asked him a question. Why did I consult with him, if he was unfamiliar with the medication? Between getting new medications, new insurance and this annoying pharmacy something needs to run smooth. I am saying goodbye to this CVS and I will look for a more professional place. read more

I've been warned about CVS before, from my doctor nonetheless. But since I was traveling, I had to get my prescription refilled. I've been to CVS a long time ago, but never had to fill/transfer a prescription. Long story short - CVS messed up my prescription (filled it at a different location). I ended up having to go, get things straightened out, then come back. Not really a big deal if it wasn't a super important prescription (seizure meds for epilepsy). I recently bought a apple charging cable here. It stopped working after a few days. Joanna kindly exchange it for a better apple charger cable. I just had to pay the difference. I suggest buying the charging cable in the plastic box from there electronic aisle instead of the charging cable near the cash register. Joanna you went above and beyond. If you call in to their pharmacy for whatever reason, expect to wait 30 minutes to speak to anyone or (more likely) your call will just get dropped because of their awful automated phone system. I am beyond upset. This pharmacy is the worst in the world. First they discussed with my daughter what meds I am taking. Stating why is your mother taking this for so long now. Disclosing HIPA information to my daughter. Second they held onto my prescription for over a week didn't mention what was the problem with it all they can say it was rejected by this time it's to late and I had to pay 8 $800.00 out of my pocket with a week to get it resolved.
