I have been to this location of CVS pharmacy 3 times and had problems all the while. Clerks are so naïve and the managers so stupid and blunt. At one instance, I ordered photo prints and they asked me to return back after one hour. I went to Ross nearby and returned back after one hour, they were not ready with photo prints and asked me to wait few more minutes. I talked to the manager, she told me that she can add some points to my card and I will get discount on my next purchase. All lies ! ! On second instance, I bought an item for which they couldn't generate my receipt because they were out of paper while the transaction happened. Clerk didn't know how to generate one so she called her manager. Manager said I have to come back tomorrow for a receipt. I asked Clerk to call the manager. Manager tells me that she has to go through all transactions in the day to locate item that I purchased. That was so stupid of her. I don't believe CVS can hire such a stupid and blunt manager. This CVS is in the Mariposa shopping center very close to my home. So When shopping at Safeway for my Groceries is is very convienent for me to stop by CVS and pick up any make-up, shampoo, or medicine I may need. I like the idea that on a Saturday they open early so I can pop in and out before I go to work. The Clerks are always nice and polite, and just do the best they can. I It may be an older CVS but it dosen't bother me, Ya the carpet is kinda grey and old..lol And of course I alway have my key tag to swipe for any kind of coupons. read more

As a resident in the South Bay for over 25 years I can realistically comment on the professionalism of this pharmacy. The medications are always accurate; the prescriptions are always filled on time as promised and there is always customer service with a smile. One of the pharmacists there, Tom Ng, is very helpful with discussions on the proprietary and generic options for different medications. read more

Most unhelpful and callous pharmacist that we ever encountered. This happened on August 9th when we tried to fill an RX for pain medication for my girlfriend who is dying of cancer. We went to our regular pharmacy in Valley Fair and they did not have the meds in stock. The staff there is quite good so they looked around for us and found two local CVS that had stock. They called the Homestead store but no one would answer so I gave it a shot and drove over there. It was 4:00 pm on a Friday so time was not on our side especially if the RX needed to be verified, possible with this med, so hence the drive. I got there and they had stock but refused to fill it without the diagnosis codes being on the script. This is something that I never experienced before as I believe it is against HIPA, very private information which no one has ever asked for. I agreed and asked them to call the doctor and they said they will do it when there is time. I told them that it is 4:00 pm and that the doctor will be gone by 5:00 pm but they still refused to do it until they were ready regardless. I got mad at that point and told them it was bad enough that they didn't answer the phone and wasted our precious time driving over there. Now they can't call the doctor either. That was it for me and I grabbed the RX back. Bad enough she was in extreme pain and needed her meds and then to have this callous woman be as unhelpful as possible. Never seen anything quite like this. I went to the other CVS that Valley Fair had told me that had stock and they graciously filled the RX without issue or codes. Unreal that they would be that discourteous to someone that sick. I'm late in writing this review but I had the displeasure of going to this store again today due to no choice in what I needed. There is no excuse for this behavior and I will never willingly step foot in this CVS again. read more

My dad was visiting me from abroad and his diabetes medicines supply was running out. Had gone to the Minute Clinic here for getting a prescription for my his medicines. Esther was really patient and helpful in figuring out the US version of the medicines that my Dad was taking. The pharmacy was able to procure them within half an hour. Horrible experience with online photos. I ordered my prints before 5pm. They would only be ready by 10 am the next day. I get there at 12 and they can't find my photos. Why could'nt they find them? They changed the name from mine which I had ordered them to my wife's who name is on the CVS benefit card. Since they at first they couldn't find it, they printed out new one. It took 5 mins. How does it only take 5 mins yet they're not ready in an hour? They also overcharged me by 10 cents a photo because they charged the instore price, so I had to go back to get my $3 back. This review goes for the Pharmacy department only. I have never been a pharmacy where I've been treated like trash. This is my story. I was having issues with my doctor about my prescription, he was busy that day and could not talk to me or the pharmacist. I reached out to the CVS pharmacy and speaking with the pharmacist who sounded just irritated in general to talk to anyone let alone a customer like me. I asked him if it would be a possibility that if the doctor was unable to refill the prescription that I could get a couple a pills for just the day. The pharmacist said yes. I go to the pharmacy and unfortunately my doctor didn't call. The pharmacist is named Tom Ng, and he said to me that he would not give me the pills, and that I must have over-used my prescription. The accusation meaning I abused my medications. I did not abuse my medications and never would. They have my history and know that. I was in shock, he completely did a 360 on his word and was being horrible where I am on the verge of tears, he finally agrees to give me my medication as he stated on the phone. "Fine I give you two pills" in a mean hassled voice. Tears are welding because I would never go in if Tom Ng said he would not give me the pills. It's hard enough to be on certain medications and he took it to a new level. When he handed me the pills, I was shaken and told him he doesn't have to be a jerk. And then one of the pharmacist tech said he wasn't being a jerk, of course, not knowing that I had discussed with him on the phone. Basically, it boils down to Tom Ng lying on the phone, and then accusing me of in front of people that I was taking more than I was prescribed. Unprofessional, distasteful.... Mr. Ng, sounds like you need a new job. One that doesn't involve people. I live right across the street and will now go to the one off Pruneridge and Saratoga. Perhaps even go back to Walgreens. I went to get a couple of passport photos although the people was polite, the quality of the service was awful and the photos are expensive! The photos where blurry and the guy didn't care, he printed them.anyway. We spoke with the cashier about the inconvenience and she offered us another try. This store was once a Longs Drug store and the cVS layout conversion is sloppy. It is hard to navigate.the scattered store. The Pharmacy always has a long line and the front checkout always has a long line. The store is ALWAYS understaffed. Expect longer than normal waits to checkout. This is the worst place to order photo online in one day. Twice I had ordered photos hoping that I could pick them up on the same day only to find out they had not received my order even though I had a confirmation. I was so relying on them to produce those photos in a short time so that my daughter and her friends could use the photos for their projects. I had a cold and sore throat. The nurse(Jennifer Renee Deem) at MinuteClinic was very immature, incompetent and unskilled. During examintaion she asked me to stand and touch my toes. At the age of 35, I have fallen sick numerous times and been to many doctors but no other doctor or nurse has ever asked me to do this due to cold and flu. Further she decided to prescribe me $1 Amoxycillin. She said it is gentle on stomach. I told her that this does not suit me and everytime I go to any doctor I always get Azithromycin. But she did not listen to me. She even said if you do not want Amoxycillin you can leave. As a result when I started taking Amoxycillin, I had a severe diarrhoea. Furthermore those capsules really stunk and taste bad on tongue. I had to stop taking them just after consuming half of the prescription. My cough lasted for more than a month before it finally got over. If she would have given me Azithromycin, then I would have gotten better in 5 days as always. read more

I went here for the buy $30 worth of particular items and get the $10 gas card. They were able to process that relatively quickly, although the lady at the counter get scanning the wrong barcode which extended checkout experience by a good 5 minutes. read more

I was at your store today around 6:00pm and I encountered a rude cashier, she was upset because I gave her the coupon after she rung my items. she rudely told me I should have given her the coupon before she rung my items. Please post a sign stating to hand any coupons prior to ringing up the items. In the event a customer forgets to hand over the coupons before hand, the cashier should respectfully tell the customer next time hand them the coupons at the beginning of the transcation. read more

The customer service was awful throughout the store, from pharmacy to checkout to photo. The customer service at pharmacy was so obnoxious, they once refused to serve me simply because I was waiting one counter to the left of the expected one. The funny thing was, there were no other customers around and I was never told which counter exactly. They have 3 counters for pickup, are they really that different? At the checkout, they regularly let long queues form before the store manager had to step in. One time, I had to wait for a checkout simply because the cashier didn't know how to handle coupons presented by the customer before me. Suddenly, another checkout was opened and people behind me just scrambled for it. Not only did they failed to maintain the order in the queue, they were totally unapologetic about it when I voiced my displeasure. The photo department was also disastrous. What was supposed to be 24-hour print service took two days. I had to visit them twice and both times they were searching high and low for my prints. When they finally found them, I saw white borders that have not been trimmed. The reply was: "This is what you ordered online". The thing is, there's no such option anywhere on their web site. They just made up excuses as they serve to get out of responsibilities. It just goes to show how unprofessional people at this store are. read more

The staff is generally very polite and the establishment is very clean. My review is based on an experience from yesterday. I went to pick up some pictures that I had ordered from the previous day. When I ordered the pictures, there was a post it note saying that the one hour service was unavailable that day. No problem. When I went to finish my order on the computer, it gave me two options. Pictures in seconds or one hour. Logically, I figured that if they could not do it in an hour, seconds was out of the question, so I chose one hour and expected to just pick them up the next day. I go there the next day on a walk with my dog to pick up the pictures, and low and behold, they told me that there was no record of my order even though I was holding the receipt for it. The young gentleman told me that it was because I chose one hour instead of seconds. HUH!!!??? The computer gave me no other option like next day and like earlier I picked one hour because seconds seemed out of the question. He told me that if I did pick seconds, I would have had my pictures the day before. I wish they would of had a post it note stating that! Any how, luckily I brought my media, the gentleman not only had my pictures ready in seconds, but he was kind enough to go outside and bring my dog a bowl of water. I believe even though they made a mistake, he clearly went above and beyond to rectify the situation and think of my dog. Thank you!!! The staff working is pleasant I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I liked the fact that they labeled all the shelves of such perishables like orange juice with a warning to check the expiration date and even after I was paying the cashier checked it again for me. I often come to this CVS and the next door Safeway for the best deals on vitamins. Not many places offer buy 1 get 1 free on the expensive vitamins such as Q10. Only CVS and Safeway seem to offer such kind of deals. Other than that, CVS is really not suitable for much else other than medicines. But even then, I would say Walgreen has a larger and more extensive selections with potentially better prices. Both CVS and Walgreen are expensive for many other things such as groceries compared to Safeway. So I would recommend only coming here to check out the buy 1 get 1 free deal on your favorite vitamins! read more

I would give this CVS a rating of none but they offer it. The cashiers were so rude at this CVS. I was in the store to get a Christmas card and there was an eye drop buy one get one 50% off so I got that. I was waiting in line to pay and there were 4 people in front of me then it was my turn to pay I didn't see the 50% off then cashier told me if she totaled it I will see it....of course NOT. She then told me to give her the ads then told me to go away back to pharmacy section... she deleted my transaction and didn't offer me the option to pay for what I wanted to pay. This cashier was so rude and very very unprofessional. If this store wants to be in business then they need to hire someone that care about their customers. I would not recommend anyone to shop at this store. Go to Walgreens around the corner or Rite-Aid. The pharmacy staff are totally unprofessional as well. My doctor asked to pick up my medicine in this CVS and told me that the pharmacist will tell me how to use it. But the CVS pharmacist there is very impatient. When I asked her the instruction (it's my first time to use this medicine), the pharmacist asked me to call the doctor and walked away immediately. Fortunately, I reached my doctor, who is very nice and told me the instruction, but my doctor is very surprised the CVS pharmacist refused to tell me the instruction. So impressed with the customer service! We came in to get passport photos taken and it took less than 10 minutes to get both of our photos taken, printed and checked out. Plus we came in on a Saturday at lunch time. The woman knew exactly what she was doing, was so efficient and was genuinely very nice.
