Good location but a terrible pharmacy. They are understaffed and therefore you must wait for 30 minutes or more for even the simplest service. The staff seems unhappy and frequently crabby and or rude. We've been there for years but we are done. read more

Terrible. Gateway to hell. The people who work here are great--helpful, knowledgeable, etc. but it is big company who understaffs their store and hence the service is terrible. Prescription was in on Saturday. But not ready Sunday. Automated system on the web said it would be ready Monday at 4 PM. Just spent an hour waiting in line to find out it won't be ready until 7 PM. Bottom of the barrel. Every month was told they need to verify my prescription with my doc bc he's out of Sonoma County. Each time I'm told "we won't need to do this next time." Pharmacist couldn't even be bothered to look up today as he instructed his underling as such today. Received a similar runaround at Rite Aid today but at least they were cordial. Walked into Tuttle's and they had my prescription ready in 15 minutes. It's refreshing to deal with a pharmacist who knows his business and has the autonomy to use his own judgement. read more

I appreciate the service at the pharmacy. The people there are super sweet. All except one person. An older white man became really defensive when I asked for a prescription that wasn't ready yet. It was a miscommunication and I do not appreciate the defensiveness from that. The person before me was treated really nicely but it was completely different for me. I would love to put a negative star. Went to the pharmacy after I spent most of my day at the hospital on Sunday 7/7/24 and I sent my prescription over to the closest CVS and the pharmacist there, Vito, was horrible. He said he needed to "verify" my prescription because they've been getting fake prescriptions and a whole bunch of other excuses like "you don't have a profile with us". But there was no need for the verification because it was an electronic prescription straight from the hospital. Vito ended up canceling my prescription because he's petty and horrible at his job. I was in pain and frustrated because he said I wouldn't be able to get the meds until Monday. All of this was false, because I called the hospital and they said that that whole situation should have never happened. I believe Vito the pharmacist took one look at me and saw the hair bonnet and pajamas and thought I looked like someone trying to get their fix or something? But it was a horrible experience. The hospital ended up fixing everything and I was able to get all my meds at a different CVS off Mendocino. This pharmacy is horrible, they don't like helping ppl and they're not even good at their job. Please get a different pharmacist that actually likes helping ppl instead of making assumptions on others. read more

This CVS is listed as "Open 24 hours" online. I called the main store number at 1:15 am this morning to confirm they were open and the automated call system confirmed they are open 24 hours. I arrived around 2:30 am to find a handwritten note on the inside of the entry doors stating "CVS will reopen at 4:30 am". Very disappointing when you are running out for emergency Pedialyte for the baby. I now see another reviewer mentions this happened to them as well so not sure what the deal is with this store. read more

Absolutely a disorganized and rude pharmacy. Asked for an answer to a quick question, ignored and then met with 'I don't know'. When they were my pharmacy their phone system was down on a regular basiS, they did not fill prescriptions without a ton of follow ups and this was for easily filled, non-controlled substance. I finally, after another session of their phone system not working, switched to Dollar Drug. Best mover ever. The folks and pharmacists at Dollar Drug are professional, courteous and extremely helpful. If I could leave less than 1 star I would. This pharmacy is a joke. It is absolutely ridiculous that they are so short staffed that it takes 2 weeks to do a prescription refill. They tell you when to pick up the medicine and blow up your phone with texts to pick up only to go in a find they have filled nothing!! My husband is diabetic and has meds due on the first of each month, go to pick up and they say sorry, we can't fill as we're behind, come back on the 8th. Go back on the 10th only to be told by the same guy, sorry, we're short staffed and your meds are still not done!! With the exception of John, who is incredibly helpful, this pharmacy is a joke. Every time I go to this store I have to come back in "an hour and a half", or "tomorrow." Even when I've called ahead an they've said it would be ready! If you get indignant it becomes clear that no one who is serving you gives a rat's arse that you've had to spend your day off making three trips to their store to finally get your prescription! I've been going to this pharmacy for over 40 years, when it was Longs and Roger was the head pharmacist. Kim took over when Roger left and continued on in serving the community with distinction and compassion. What can I say about this place? The pharmacy staff work their fingers to the bone to make sure all their patients get their meds as quickly as possible, even when corporate cuts the staffing hours below a reasonable amount for a store of this size. I know I have the absolute worst, most convoluted insurance you have ever seen and they're still able to run a gauntlet of government red tape to get my scripts covered and filled in a timely manner. I honestly can't say enough good things about this group of dedicated people. I wish the rest of the health sector was staffed and run like this pharmacy. Several times I have gone into CVS And the manager, the manager of the store is wearing her mask below her nose! I see her constantly pulling it up above her nose and then touching peoples items. Unfortunately all the negative reviews for the 4th St. location are true. Honestly, this CVS has the worst service of any pharmacy I've ever used. I moved here two months ago. I waited in line for close to an hour. I've requested auto-fill twice, via text response and in store. They were over a week late filling my last prescription and ignored autofill. When I called to find out the status they told me it would be ready by 5. Not only was it not filled by 5, but they couldn't fill it till the next day and I waited in the drive through for an hour (I was the only car). No apology. Bad attitude from the male Pharmacist who could care less. There's no excuse for the poor management of this facility. I go to this pharmacy because it's close to my house that's the only reason. The pharmacy is very slow and doesn't seem to have an organized system of a line to pick up medicine. You can use the drive-through window outside but it's also extremely slow. This pharmacy is absolutely the most rude screwed up place I've ever dealt with. I took a script there to be filled that the emergency room doctor wrote for me. They told my wife that the medication would be ready at 2pm! She goes back at 5pm and it still isn't ready. Finally at 6pm, they hand her a copy of the original script back with a note saying the dr cancelled the prescription and to follow up with pain dr. I called the ER spoke to the ER dr who said she did NOT cancel the script. She said CVS screwed up. When I brought this to CVS attention; the pharmacist said... "Oh no big deal.. you have other pain meds at home..... just double up on that!" Needless to say I will never ever trust CVS again and my reg pain dr is pissed at CVS for dispensing medical advice w/o a drs license! Screw you CVS! P.S. I've had really great experience at the pharmacy. They took me as a walk in for a flu vaccination and I was in and out in 20 minutes without an appointment. I would give the pharmacy 5 stars and the rest of the store 3 stars. Outside of the pharmacy, I can never locate an employee to help me find things and aisle organization is a bit odd to me. read more

this cvs is convenient because it's close to me, but the pharmacists are the stupidest people I've ever met. Constantly I am told prescriptions are ready - wait in line, only to find out they're not even close to being ready. Even calling on the phone is a 30 minute ordeal of being put on hold and then receiving little to no help at all. Tonight I called because two very important medications had been in process for days at this point, both of which I am out of, I was told that "uhm, they might be ready like, tomorrow?" And when I expressed that I had been out of them for days and really needed them she acted as if it were this huge thing & finally told me I could pick them up within the hour. I called back an hour later to make sure only to be told they were out of it - which I had not been told at all. They ended up making it work and giving me a different manufacturer of the same medication and I went to go pick it up only for the same situation to happen. The girl helping us clearly had no idea what she was doing. She charged me for a prescription I didnt even want to pick up, without telling me the other 3 she was giving me. We went back and forth and she said they were out of the one I needed - to which I said I spoke to the pharmacist. She was clearly annoyed, and said "yeah it'll be a minute". Finally I got the medication. I am absolutely floored that a pharmacy operates this way, and that the people they are hiring can't even PRONOUNCE the medications they're filling and handing out. There is clearly no communication between this staff, and they always are behind or have an hour long wait for medications. So I bought $15.00 insoles and neglected to get a receipt, but I have a membership with them so no big deal right? I go to return them and can only get a store credit for them, ok fine; but now it's only $10 that I'm getting back. I can not speak highly enough for the pharmacy staff. They have gone to extraordinary length for me at times when they didn't have to. They are always friendly and helpful. I can only conclude that the one-star reviews came from one of the really unhappy people (you just can't please) that I've had to stand behind in line. read more

I have never experienced more frustration with an attempt at purchasing anything in my entire life. Inept, rude, accusatory, and completely unqualified to work with human beings. I have never written a review for any business, but I had no choice but to warn others away from this location. The CVS in Redding (Cypress) has been incredibly helpful and efficient, but the SR 4th street location is absolute garbage. It either needs to be restaffed, or closed to save this company's reputation. If I could give them zero stars I would!! The worst pharmacy EVER! I refilled my prescription online, they sent me a text saying it was ready, I get to the pharmacy and they say it's not ready. So I ordered it while I am there, and return for a second visit. They say they don't have it ready. Then they call me later and say you need a card with a number on it in order for us to process the order but they have to have it in person. So I return for a third time with the card and what happens there out of the medication! Seriously people?!?!?! read more

Love the last remodel where they blocked off the aisle leading to the pharmacy so you have to walk through two more aisles to get there. Then there is the ministry of misinformation about what drugs are covered by what insurance. This review would be two pages long if I gave you the details but in a nutshell, they just can't get it right. We changed doctors and I literally spent hours calling CVS, then insurance, then the new doctor then the old doctor. And not one medication had changed. The latest misinformation is that I was told "They never cover that med on your insurance." Called the insurance company and here's some good advice from them: "When CVS tell you something isn't covered, leave it on the counter, go to your car and call us so we can straighten them out." Ot better yet, avoid this pharmacy or CVS in general. read more

August 30, 2020: Pharmacy clerk I've never seen before (so perhaps a temp) jumped from neutral to confrontational instantly when I questioned why my prescription (which was supposed to have been ready at noon the day before) had not been processed yet. My question was civil and without inflection; her answer was dismissive and rude. Essentially, she was saying she didn't want to deal with the issue, resented being questioned and didn't have the basic customer service skill to even say, "I am sorry, here is the explanation, would you mind very much waiting for a few minutes while we expedite your order?" This pharmacy never answers the phone and when they do they hang up on you. The people working in the pharmacy are rude and disrespectful. The pharmacist themselves try to play doctor and refuse to fill medication for some reason or another until I set them straight on my medication & then they fill it. The lines are 30 plus minutes long because they are constantly under staffed or when enough staff is there they are standing around doing nothing. This is the worst pharmacy I've dealt with and even talking to the corporate office didn't fix this disaster of a pharmacy. read more

I am giving a ONE rating, simply because there are some nice people who work in the Pharmacy here. SOME nice people. I needed an auto refill for a blood pressure med. I have three left so called and through the recorded message found out it's waiting Dr. approval. But, it won't be ready for five days. Do the math, I'm going to run out. So I called to find out if I could have a few pills until it was ready (and I wanted it mailed...not going into the pharmacy where people are waiting for Covid tests). I waited one hour and five minutes on hold. Absolutely unacceptable. But if you hang up, you start all over. Finally call answered and I explained my situation and he said, "sure I can give you a few interim pills, come on by". I asked if the drive thru is open and he said, "not when we are doing Covid testing". What? How does that make sense? So I asked if they could be mailed and he flat out laughed and said no. I told him I wasn't coming into a space where people are waiting to have testing done as many probably think they have Covid. He said, "there is only one person here right now...put on a mask and run over here." Why was I on hold for over an hour when there was only one person in the pharmacy line? I told him their quality of service is non existent anymore and I was seriously thinking of going elsewhere. His response..."I don't blame you. I would". Nice. read more
