Today I brought in my vehicle for a tire repair. I got a call from Royce informing me that due to the custom black valve stem cover he would not be able to do the repair because the valve stem cover was too long, preventing him from filling my tire back up with air. Jason, Royce and I worked together on the phone to determine a solution and they recommended that they change the valve stem cover so that they can complete the repair. The level of service and professionalism I received from Jason and Royce was EXCEPTIONAL. Every time I have brought in our vehicles for new tires or a tire repair the level of service is always excellent. My family and I will continue to use Costco Tire for all our tire needs, and thanks again for always being awesome! read more

Ana, Uriel and Dillon made the optometry exam the most uncomfortable appointment of my entire life. I'm not sure how Uriel is a shift lead. I'm not sure why Costco is allowed to scream for a manager on the megaphone just to make the customers uncomfortable . On top of that Dillon has no customer service skills. Not one person in this department clearly cares about their job and it really shows. Will be going to another Costco. Quality/Quantity - Note to self - Do NOT shop Costco on weekends!! This location is crazy busy! From the dangerous entrance (bottle neck and only a 3 way stop sign, NOT 4 way stop sign), to the parking lot, to... And we did not even need gas, well at least we were able to use the restroom and get a to-go "emergency" sushi lunch. I noticed that you are now doing Nigiri Trays in the deli, meat, seafood department! Too bad they had none today, otherwise I would have tried this. It is easier to eat in a car. Ambiance - Again, crazy busy. Grabbed my emergency to go sushi for the drive and ran out of there. We parked in the mall next door, as it was crazy busy here. Aggressive drivers too. Open 7 days a week from 9am to 8:30pm; closes at 7pm on weekends. Oh, for us executive/gold members 1/2 to 1 hour later. Has all the departments here. Service - Self service. Price - $16, inexpensive for sushi, but you get what you pay for... We only buy sushi here when we do not have time for higher quality foods... And I do not want fast food (unlike my daughter). Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 1986. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. I recently came into this location looking to grocery shop for my family. My mother was recently diagnosed with cancer and is deep into her chemo medication and is unable to grocery shop for our family. Using her membership card, I scanned it and was refused to be let in to shop. After explaining my situation, I received an eye roll from the worker at the front, and was still rudely asked to leave. I love Costco and the deals here are good but this place has the worst parking lot of any Costco I've ever been to. They also seem to have much narrower aisles. This review is for Optical department- would like to give 5 starts but give only 2 for omitted explanation and poor representation of the services for prescription glasses. Prior to ordering glasses with progressive lenses (for the first time) I have asked what conditions will warrant return/ exchange/ or replacement in case it will not be a good fit. Told to wear them 30 days for adjustment; bring it back if not a good fit for a replacement with regular lenses- the cost difference will be refunded. Original price was $132.99. I could not adjust to the lenses due to peripheral distortion, extreme dizziness ( out of my control). When brought it back for replacement I was told ( since its not lenses defect) I needed to see optometrist again ( 4 mo old prescription+ DO appointment) until the next step -which is an additional extra cost to add. If these conditions had been explained to me prior to the initial order I would consider skipping the progressive glasses. Paid additional $ 65.99 for new lenses - total cost of glasses =$ 198.98. This ridiculous price could be avoided if the correct steps and charges for services were explained by Costco. Please do not repeat my mistake and ask for a detailed process for return/exchange. I got stopped by a security guard who said I didn't pay for my $9 bag of cat food. I told her it's on the receipt for $9 and some change. She said no. Her coworker came over. Didn't look at thr receipt. Started a code whatever and started letting the people behind me go. It's like 6pm and daylight savings changed so I'm trying to get my 1 year old home. I said let me see the receipt. With in seconds I found the item she had questioned $9.60 and pointed out the big name on the bag and sku matched my receipt. Way to make me look shady. I'm sure the girl with tie dye hair was taught to read as a child. Just because someone wants something to be real does not mean that it's not only in their head. Look at the receipt. I rarely give reviews. But this optics dept is the worst. Multiple family members go there. Have got significantly different service than me. First they couldn't accept my prescription print out. Even after I said it would be the whole thing. Upon showing them....They accepted it. But initially automatic NO. Without even looking. Went in to pick up one set and asked about bringing in a set of frames to have lenses replaced like my other family members just had done ...last week... also denied. I rarely ever leave reviews, but my experience at this Costco Pharmacy last week was so disappointing that I feel it needs to be shared. I had called three separate times prior to coming in to confirm my prescription details, twice specifically to confirm the price. When I arrived, I gave my Costco membership card to be scanned, assuming everything would be as discussed. However, the price was still incorrect. Taya was rude and dismissive the entire time. I politely asked for clarification, and another associate, Sarah, came over to assist. From the moment she approached, her tone was rude, condescending, and dismissive, which completely caught me off guard. After a tense exchange, she finally adjusted the price correctly, something that should have been resolved without attitude or resistance. Another associate, Taya, had to step in to correct my account information, which was fine, but the overall experience left me feeling embarrassed and disrespected. I had been nothing but patient and kind, explaining that I had already confirmed everything multiple times over the phone. Yet, I was made to feel like I had done something wrong. I have worked in customer service for years and I understand how busy it can get, but there is simply no excuse for treating customers that way. I called the next day to request a manager call me back because I was genuinely shocked by how I was spoken to. What surprised me even more was how unsurprised the manager seemed when I described what happened, which makes me question how often this behavior is happening. I love Costco. The Santa Rosa Costco is one of the worst Costco stores I have been to. First the entrance with the layout of the gas station and parking lot is dangerous and stressful. My serenity goes out the door the minute I try to turn into the parking lot. There are a few really good employees but the majority of the workers, including management, are not at the level I expect from Costco. Although this Costco is most convenient to where I live, I will spend an extra 15 to 20 minutes driving to the Rohnert Park Costco which is a MUCH better experience. read more

Changed the opening hours for the gold star customers (most of the people that shop here) from 9am to 10am so their business card holders can have that hour that I always sat in the parking lot for an extra hour to have. With my social anxiety it's difficult to deal with alot of people at one time around me and by 10am this parking lot will be mostly full. We need a sams club in santa rosa. read more

Having a membership has been this new household's addiction. We go stock up or to buy just about anything every week. From regular weekday dinners to holiday dinners. It's my husband's go to. Plus you save a lot overall on household necessities, toiletries, alcohol whatever. Store pretty loaded and always clean and organized. Santa Rosa Costco is always a great experience for me. The variety of food, electronics, health, home & beauty products, even the jewelry is always well-priced and superior quality, plus if you ever have an issue with your choices, their return and exchange policy is generous and easily navigable. The vision center is great too. Low-priced exams, very nice selection of frames and lenses including designer frames, and discounts if you buy in multiples. Looking for 'readers', prescription lenses and sunglasses? You're in good hands there. The prices are unbeatable in my opinion and worth the volume sometimes needed to purchase some items. The parking lot is a zoo but I think that is a testament to so many happy customers they have. My guilty pleasure there is the cheese - the best prices anywhere! Even better than Grocery Outlet! Have you seen The Hunger Games? Shopping at this Costco is kind of like that. The parking lot is sketchy and chaotic, the crowds are generally miserable and the lines to get gas are hard to quantify. But it's Costco. Once inside it's that magical world where suddenly Costco is gently telling you everything you didn't know you needed. Unfortunately, this location is thick with families of 20 full of noise and chaos, and slow moving lost people who stop dead in their tracks with a lead paint stare, completely disassociating while you desperately try to scoot your cart around them in the center of the aisle. Don't even bring up the sample aisles. The chicken has gotten sketchier since the pandemic and the produce goes bad in one day but hey, this site has Rockstar and none of the other local Costcos carry it. If you don't need Rockstar, drive a few extra miles and go to Rohnert Park Costco. It's a much less stressful experience. read more

Been with Costco since the store opened. Just bought new tires for my Tacoma. Waited a week for delivery, and contrary to the sales person's promises, no one called me to tell me they were there. Tire desk is not manned for the sake of customers. There is always a waiting line, which is ok if someone is there, but I have waited up to 30 minutes for someone to even appear. My install appointment was good, but it was days later, and they failed to tell me my TPM readings in the truck would only appear after about 20 miles. So I know they initialized the new TPMs but just did not tell me. I drove about 19 miles and suddenly the pressures showed up! I had called tires for maybe 30 minutes total, got a young tire shop "dude" who didn't know what I was talking about, and he offered a fix-it appointment 3 days later. I hung up and drove on. Big relief. Costco needs to do a lot better in their tire dept. Customer service, and a less gruff attitude by the guys would be welcome. And tell people that their TPMs have been initialized and how long it might take before the vehicle reads them again. read more

Costco Delivery is a big rip off. They offer coupons based on the amount of items you purchase but will take the full amount of the discount off any item you return. No percentage or consideration given for the items kept. They don't discuss this up front, Only after you discover you haven't been credited properly for the items returned. Purchase $ 7,600.00 with disc $500.00 charged $7,000.00 Total Returned $2,100.00 but only Credited $1,600.00 On-line credit (see pic below) show a different amount than what was actually credited $1,100.00. Operational Manager, Tyler couldn't figure out why I was so pissed off. Never called me back. Just know your return is not gonna be credited properly because this is the discount you received and they feel justified. DO NOT COSTCO ON-LINE SHOP. The items are priced way higher and the return policy is not the same. I was not 100% satisfied as I was NOT credited proper for sure. Now I file a fraud report with my credit card company. This is the issue, gas. Went to Costco today, price was $4.69, was surprised and upset! At least 2 other gas stations in Santa Rosa are cheaper, Safeway is at $4.49 cash price and 4.59 for credit, Gulf Station on Melita and Hwy. 12 is $4.39 cash and $4.49 credit. We all pay at least $60.00 a year for membership for cheaper prices! Beginning to question my membership. read more

What's not to love about Costco?! This is not the Costco I frequent the most. I stopped by to get some cat litter for my mom because it was on sale. The cat litter was easy to find and I was in and out without any issues. I love that the have a lot of self checkout stations, this really helps the lines move faster. Before they put these in you would have to wait forever in line, even when you had an item or two. The people at the door and the self checkout stations were nice and friendly. They even scanned my litter for me so I did not have to pick it up out of the cart. I would come back to this location again. read more

Costco in Santa Rosa is an amazing retail outlet. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of. Strangely, though, I'm still using the same dish soap that I bought from them in 2003! I wonder what they mean by, "bundling" products? Jake or jack upfront at the door is the reason I'd give zero stars! Berated me at the door with out checking that I'm even on the account and denied me entry after waiting 45 minutes for two pizzas and a hot dog. I left my kids in the car with their dad as the baby was screaming! He couldn't care less. Said I wasn't allowed even to pick up food I already ordered 45+ mins prior and paid for. He called a supervisor to refund me versus letting me get my food and leave and she asked for my Id. We walked towards the food court and she handed my receipt and ID back and said "it's fine. Don't worry about it" and continued to walk away. I was standing there after being berated by some Costco card power tripping jerk, supervisor walks away, completely stunned at what just happened. We are members (have executive membership) & buy quite a lot of stuff from the warehouse. The prices surely seem lesser than other whole sale places/stores such as a Safeway or a Walmart, however the variety/brands or the choice of goods is very limited. Quantities are humongous and goods are too spread out. At times it becomes so very difficult to find somethings one is looking for, that one just decides to skip buying those items and move to next. Costco definitely needs better labelling/marking of the alleys, better arranging of goods and some better plan for its customers to find goods around. Reco: It's definitely a go to place, but needs some more work which can make it an easier shopping experience. ** also, like Walmart, Costco needs to start curb side pick ups during these pandemic times read more

Santa Rosa Ave location makes it 4 stars, such a pain in the @$@ to deal with. So the best time to go is late on a week night, however the parking lot is still at capacity, nearly! My go to's are Kirkland organic orange juice, cage free eggs, Rustic Bakery crackers, Taylor Farms Cesar Salad and the wine aisle of course. I have been a faithful Costco customer since 2007 and I have never experienced such an awful experience visiting Costco like I did today. My family and I needed to renew our membership before shopping and there were 2 employees who were extremely rude. The first employee we encountered was named MEILI who was checking receipts at the exit. I simply asked her where the membership desk was and she stayed quiet and failed to answer the question. The other employee CHERIE that was also at the exit checking tickets had the exact same expression which was extremely off putting as they both had nasty attitudes. The people at the exit checking receipts are usually super nice and friendly but this Costco is doing themselves a disservice by letting MAILI and CHERIE work that position. They should be taught not to bring their personal issues to work especially when it comes to customer service . Costco is usually a great experience for me and always providing for my needs but MAILI and CHERIE are ruining Costco's reputation. I hope something can be done about this because it is unacceptable to treat any loyal customer like this. read more

Needed to have my tires checked as the warning light came on in my vehicle. Went to the website and noticed I could make an appointment which is a timesaver! Showed up on time and was helped by a friendly employee who checked us in and said he would call when the work was done. We went and did a bit of shopping and while waiting and having the required hot dog, I got the phone call from our technician who explained what he did. Picked up our car and off we went. I wish I had taken both guy's names as they were so nice and friendly. Made our experience A-1. Yesterday, I noticed my tire pressure light was on. Sure enough, this afternoon I took my car into the dealership and the mechanic noticed I had a nail or screw in one of my tires, causing a slow leak. I called the Tire Center at Costco and they were able to squeeze me into their busy day. The service was impeccable and I made it out of there spending just $10.99! If I had stayed and had the dealership fix it I wouldn't have made it out of there in under $200! What a deal at Costco. I really like Costco. It is what it is!! I have been a member ever since it was Price Club. I have always found a bargain in every aisle. I get my glasses in the optical office, my gas at the gas station and even got great LG kitchen appliances in the appliance aisle. Their bakery is delicious and always coming up with new specialties. Every department has a nice variety of merchandise. The staff is always helpful and fun. There are always treasures to be found...who does not love their rotisserie chicken? Do yourself a favor and fire Tahnia. Her poor attitude is probably the only thing that surpasses her horrible work ethic. Was given attitude when asked for boxes, her job is literally to box items. Rolled her eyes constantly and literally threw my food including a $200 bottle of champagne. My husband and I had to go get our own boxes upon leaving and rebox our entire order because she literally placed every single item into our cart individually.
