Stopped by for a quick 2x2 for a visa application, did not have many troubles as stated in many reviews prior. I will admit the staff was very unhappy when dealing with me, but was very quick in the photo process. I was told how much the cost was up front and what I needed to do in order to complete the photo process. I was in and out of the store in under 10 minutes, which to me is peace of mind. I will probably stop by again if in the area to pickup travel items (Shampoo, Soap, toothpaste, etc) as CVS usually has a good stock and good prices if you are a member. read more

Being able to speak, read and write in English should be a prerequisite for working behind the pharmacy counter. It also wouldn't help to have lay knowledge of some basic over the counter medications. I called the pharmacy to check on the availability of Primatene tablets. After failed attempts at phonetically pronouncing the name of the medication and spelling it out to the woman on the phone she answered with "we don't carry this medication." I thought it wise to call the store manager for a second opinion. As suspected, they DO carry the medication. When I arrived there was a 20 minute wait at the pharmacy. The two women that worked behind the counter were about a slow and as dumb as you could possibly hire. When it was my turn I asked for the medication and she said they were out of stock. I made the manager do a double stock check and sure enough they're sitting right there on the shelf. I will never come here again . read more

Update, I forgot that i wrote a review of this abomination before but I'm prompted to continue. My wife still uses (until today) this place because it is convenient for her to pick up her regular prescription. They have now started filling it in technically a two day supply at a time when the script is clearly written for a 30 day supply so my wife has had to pay her co-pay for every two day supply. the last 3 times she went she was directed to the "service" window where they "fixed" the problem in their computer but the situation hasn't changed. This is clearly a problem built to scam mostly elderly people that may not be able to advocate for themselves. I am setting up my wife's services at a different pharmacy now which I should have done a year ago. Please stay away from this pharmacy. THEY ARE RUNNING A SERIOUS SCAM. read more

I showed up at my 10:00AM appointment for my flu and shingles shots that I made through their web site. They said they don't do mornings and the next appointment is next week. They said the web site doesn't know this and there is nothing they can do about it. They made no attempt to contact me and there wasn't even a sign saying they weren't honoring AM shots. Pharmacy ripoff! I am on Medicare, with a Blue Shield supplement. My doctor sent them a prescription for Advair and Albuterol, for my asthma. When I went to pick it up, and they charged me $80.00 for the Advair, and $40.00 for the Albuterol. I complained, and they said, "Gee, maybe you should select CVS as your primary pharmacy. This is a total ripoff. When I had Kaiser, and was not on Medicare, my prices were $15.00 each. I know somewhere, there is probably a class action lawsuit against the unfair and probably illegal practices of CVS, and I am joining it. I won't even go into a CVS anymore, for anything. Don't shop CVS. So, I had my prescriptions moved to Walgreens, and I was charged $5.00 for the Advair, and $5.00 for the Albuterol. Here's another one: I also recently purchased the 100 packet box of Neil Med saline packets from the Safeway pharmacy (while grocery shopping), and the price was $12.45 (out the door). At CVS pharmacy, that same box of 100 Neil Med saline packets is $16.99 ($17.00)! CVS is a total ripoff! Don't shop CVS. Further investigation also showed that Target products are 20% less than those same products at CVS. CVS prints a giant receipt with coupons, and that gives the impression that you are getting a reward, for savings of large amounts on specific products, but then you are in the store, and you'll spend 20% to 25% more for other items. Comparison ship, and you find the same results that I found. Good hunting, and...Don't buy into the bait-and-switch at CVS! read more

Totally rude, ignorant, and lazy cashier. Nose sticking out of her mask. Borderline health hazard. I only went to this location because my friend needed to pick up a prescription. I should have known as soon as I parked that this location was in despair. Broken glass, urine smells, blanket, sleeping bag, and garbage cans overflowing, all right in front of the entrance. My friend stood in line at the pharmacy. I look around the store to find some paper towels and a couple other items. I notice that every aisle has hardly any merchandise on the shelves. After about 10 minutes I make my way over to the pharmacy. I see my friend being called over and as soon as he starts walking towards the pharmacy tech, she turns around and walks to the back. I can see her smiling, laughing and talking with her 2 coworkers, leaving my friend standing there for almost 10 minutes. It really bothered me but my friend did not seem to mind. So I did a little more shopping and went to check out. The self checkout was full and there was one employee standing there doing nothing. I asked her if someone was working the registers and her reply was to ask me if I had alcohol. I told her that I did not. She then told me to use the self check out. There are 3 self checkout stations and all 3 were being used, and 2 more people ahead of me. I asked why she could not ring me up. She huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes at me. I asked her what the problem was. She tells me that if I dont have alcohol that I should use self check out and that they are trying to get everyone to use self check out. She continues to tell me that she still has to stock shelves and do some other work and that I am wasting her time. At this point I know I am dealing with a moron and just need to pay and get out. She tells me a total of $54.98 I put my card in and I see a different total of $59.88. I ask her why she told me $54.98 but the total was $58.98. She then rolls her eyes again and says that there is $5 tax, like I am some idiot. I understand that finding decent employees must be difficult because this lazy, rude, ignorant, young lady has no business in customer service. I will only go back this place to return the broken / used item that I purchased the other day. Will probably have to add to this review after dealing with that BS. Also they have posted hours as 24 hrs. 7 days a week. The owner is too lazy to change the hours on website and social media. That should tell you a lot. If this location is still here a year from now I would be very surprised. read more

WORST CVS EVER!!!! I will NEVER shop here much less attempt to pick up something IMPORTANT such as an RX from this location! I was out of town and had a prescription called in, after 3 attempts to receive and antibiotic, which was crucial; I was AGAIN told the RX was never called in. I later verified that the prescription HAD been called in ...4 days prior to my 3rd denial of medication. The cashier at the pharmacy window (can't imagine she is a pharmacist or technician with her incredibly uncaring demeanor) was incredibly rude to me every time and acted as if I was wasting her time. The last time I came in the manager, also a woman; approached me while I was in line waiting in the pharmacy line and very rudely asked me if I needed help finding anything....when I was obviously waiting in line to pick up an RX. The majority of the sales people in this location have NO clue what sales or customer service is! With the exception of the one cashier that was being reprimanded in her cashier station IN FRONT OF A HUGE LINE OF CUSTOMERS by the rude and angry manager; for whatever reason (by the same manager that was rude to me). Waste of my time and absolutely DISGUSTING that I was told my prescription had never been called in. I was treated as if I was a drug addict trying to get pills that were not for me when I was trying to pick up an antibiotic that was very necessary! What a Horrible and Disgusting representation on "Health Care" I will be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience! The worst. Consistently the worst. I haven't dealt with them in 8 years and my dermatologist's office accidentally filled a prescription there, which triggered my insurance, which made it impossible to pick up at my regular pharmacist. When I called to ask that they reshelve it so I can pick it up elsewhere, the ATTITUDE, man. The pharmacist literally said, "Well it's not MY fault. Don't be mad at ME." I was never angry, nor raised my voice. I was just clear. But that whiny kind of response and their inability to take responsibility for anything is indicative of the lack of care and professionalism over there. I'd sooner chew glass than get a prescription from them. Also was on hold for ten minutes before I ever got to speak to anyone and was terrorized by the music and ads about beauty standards and the flu the whole time. Even if they're 24/7 So it's 2AM and I decided to grab a few stuff from CVS 4th St coz they're 24/7. Anyway so I kept being indecisive about I wanted to buy and you know us women like to take our sweet time deciding between things in life. Like this particular night. So I kept going back and forth between aisles,trying to decide between what brands of product to buy. So I thought I needed help from Mr.Google (for reviews) so I can decide on what product to pick.I finally made my decision. Went to grab it.And just as I was reaching for it like literally,an employee comes up to me and in the nicest way he possibly could be,he basically told me to either buy something or leave coz they'll suspect me of trying to steal stuff. I wasn't sure whether to be offended and start throwing a fit or go to Walgreens & spend my money there. But I held my cool,walked up to the counter. Manager was cashier and I asked her,what was that all about. So she basically said "Yeah it's just coz we have high volume of theft here blah blah blah ,if you're gonna kill time just let us know coz we usually don't just have people hanging around here".... I was like oh really?? Paid my stuff and walked right out.. that will be the last you'll be seeing of me. If I'm going to buy something I want to make sure that my hard earned money was worth spending especially on Eczema creams and what not. They are not cheap! I shouldn't feel like I have a time limit to buy anything with my hard earned money.After all, it's your customers money you get paid with, the least you can do is give your best customer service you ungrateful people! Not a well run pharmacy. Called on a prescription and waited 10 minutes for service. Then I called right back with a question on the prescription and was on hold 12 minutes and got disconnected. Phoned CVS pharmacy right back again and was put on hold with 3 people in front, even after I said that I had just spoken with someone and had a quick question. He said Sorry and was put on hold. After waiting another 18 minutes, I hung up. The previous time I went there because I was just out of surgery and needed a prescription, I was declined service because they were too busy to fill it that day. Went to Walgreens down the street and professionally received what I needed and gone in 15 minutes. read more

After continuing issues with long lines as well as poor staffing and service, I finally decided that the convenience of the location was not reason enough to remain a customer. I've moved my prescriptions over to the Walgreen's on Mission and was pleased at how easy the staff at Walgreen's made it. Filling an Rx for my pet. The phone system was a little annoying to get to a person, but once I did, I hardly had to wait. Didn't have the Rx# when I called, no problem. The friendly staff found us in the computer right away and asked when I wanted to come by. Ready for me on time. As little wait as to be expected for other customers, but again, the staff was efficient. New layout and decor is great in there, by the way. So much better than most CVS shops. My other shopping needs accomplished on the way out. read more

This pharmacy is the worst. The line is ridiculously long and it's sad to see senior citizens slumped over carts waiting in it. The drive through is rarely open. The pharmacy staff is great but the management isn't. They delivery service they advertise delivers once a week on Wednesday afternoon. I haven't tried it but I wouldn't assume it works. read more

CVS 4th Street is an awesome store! Love the reset and shelves are efficiently restocked. Customer service from Managers, checkout clerks, and help in store is the best. I enjoy shopping here and CVS has great pricing and many new items hard to find in other similar stores. I always find more than the list I go in with. There seems to be a pattern pertaining to the pharmacies of CVS stores in Santa Rosa. I've been a customer of the Bennett Valley store for over forty years, Longs before CVS, and Bill's before that, and have never experienced the current level of efficiency. Watching the staff work is like a skit from Saturday Night Live...only it is not funny! Nothing is ready when it is supposed to be ready. I have heard every imaginable excuse from the staff there. Things like: "This is only my third day. Or, "I don't know why we didn't call your doctor. We've been very busy." Or, my favorite, "Tom and everybody else walked out, and went to work for Kaiser, so it's not our fault." Yesterday, I spent twenty minutes waiting in line at the "unmanned" pharmacy cash register. The other six people in line were all discussing the same topic. That being, just how much CVS Bennett Valley has gone downhill, and how their orders are always late, or worse yet...wrong!. If you have other options to obtain your Rx, I strongly urge you to seriously explore them. read more

This pharmacy needs a serious inservice regarding basic manners and communication skills. First of all, I went by and they made a copy of my insurance card a month ago because I had new coverage. Today they did not have my current coverage. They thought I had no insurance. Then I asked about one med that I was picking up. They had no record of it. I got a message from Sutter that they had sent it in. My frustration isn't that there is a break down somewhere in the system. My frustration is that the clerk doesn't care to help straighten it out. And then I asked to speak to the pharmacist who I can see standing there and the clerk tells me I have to come back in 20 minutes because the pharmacist is out at lunch. I saw a customer in front of me pick up meds. It is against the law to dispense meds if a pharmacist is not present in the pharmacy. So either the clerk is lying or the pharmacy is breaking the law. When I finally spoke with the pharmacist he didn't really care either. He asked me if I didn't believe him about not having an order for that one med they were missing. Just a simple "I'm sorry there seems to be a mix up" would go a long way. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY UNLESS YOU LIKE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LIKE BEING ACCUSED OF COMMITTING FRUAD. My son has Medi-cal and is on many medications. They never fill them timely, only once you get there, even thou the texts say they are done. Brooke the pharmacy tech accused my son of Medi-cal Fraud (fraud is a word she used many times in a matter of 5 minutes and was very loud, so numerous customers could hear) because she got an error trying to run his Medi-cal card thru. As a previous Medi-Cal eligibility workers, and medical billing for 2 different hospitals, I know this system. She entered his BIC card wrong and got a date error. This is the default code if things do not match by the State system. Instead of checking to see if she entered his card # wrong, she accused him of fraud. When another pharmacy person entered the CORRECT #, it came up showing eligibility. Since Brooke does not seem to understand the definition of SLANDER I will quote for her " the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation". Accusing someone of committing a crime, which is what she did, when it was her error is just plain incompetent, horrible customer service and making CVS liable for her negligent actions. They constantly refuse to fill his medications, or refuse to fill timely. They are beyond unprofessional. Brooke even told us to go the the Mendocino ave store. She is literally telling customers to go somewhere else. Kim the pharmacy manager spends more time talking about non work related things, and petting dogs customers bring into the store. I have witnessed this numerous times, even when there are 10 people in line, she is not filling RX's, she is playing with a DOG in the pharmacy. I hope she washes her hands before she handles your prescription. Hope you are not allergic to dogs after she plays with dogs then fills your medications. I could go on and on about numerous other issues. I got the corporate info, and planning on filing a formal compliant and contacting the pharmacy board also. This place was alright until one day I went in and paid for my painkillers at the pharmacy. I walked with it in my hand and receipt on it. Sensed I was being followed. Not sure if it was my black suit but THE STORE MANAGER PROCEED TO ACCUSE ME OF STEALING AND TRIED GRABBING THE PILLS OUT OF MY HAND!!! I showed her my receipt and she blushed, said sorry, and ran away....... Stay Away! I have (soon to be had) a prescription here. when I arrived yesterday around 4 p.m. or so to pick up, there were 10 people in line and only one person waiting on them. What galls is that there were at least 4 other people working in the pharmacy but they were too preoccupied to open up one of the two other customer service counters. I just left the store without my prescription. I had this very same experience three months earlier and called CVS customer service in Rhode Island but nothing obviously has been done. I shop here often due to its close location to my house, and the fact that they have cheap cigarettes. I have shopped here many times before this, and never had a problem. Tonight however, was different. The cashier that rang me up was a younger guy, and the whole time he was ringing me up his shift supervisor (a girl that looked to be in her early 20's with blonde hair) was standing behind him, glaring at him and me. He was more than pleasant. His shift supervisor however, was rude. After he rang me up for my cigarettes, as I was walking out the door, the girl said, under her breath "you're going to die, smoker" I was amazed! I understand that smoking is not a healthy habit, however I am a customer, and even if this is how this young girl feels, it is not her place to judge her customer, or say anything to her customer for that matter. Also, I went on the CVS website to file a complaint, and they do not have a way to send them an e-mail about this situation. What decade are they living in that you have to call or send them snail mail in order to contact them? I might be going in tomorrow to talk to the actual manager. read more

This is absolutely the worst pharmacy in town. It is close to my house so I keep going there. The prescription is never ready. The drive thru breaks down and the lines are long in the store. Forget about insurance. More than not they try to overcharge based on my insurance. Nearly every time I have had to wait while they look up my insurance, than they tell me it is changed to the right info in the computer and shouldn't happen again. But it does. While waiting in line to speak to someone, there are t least 4-6 people tending behind the counter not doing much of anything. I can get prescriptions overnighted from Florida on less time than it takes to get it here. read more

I've talked to the management on three different occasions about the panhandling that occurs right outside this store. One family begs for money in the parking lot while standing on a curb, then they send their children to stand at the exit of the CVS store to panhandle there as well. There have been times when I have been sitting in my car waiting for my wife to shop, and had scary looking people approach me while in my car! This week there was a guy sitting on the parking lot curb right across from the entrance/exit begging for money while holding a gas can! What a scam. Each time management has been notified, and nothing has improved. Don't know if this is an issue for the property owner, or the store. Either way....... I'm not going back. read more

I go to five other different CVS stores from here to Sausalito as a move around a lot for work. For some reason, this is the one that is closest to my home, and the absolute worst in quality, always has a much lower feeling, and always has lines. Nowhere else where I go will there be lines like this at the cash register, and especially at pharmacy. I have been to a CVS where there aren't any lines every single time I go there, and they have four workers. This CVS has two people at register and a bunch of people running around the back giving you a hard stare every time you wait in line because I want you to walk out and not wait in line for them. I've never been to a CVS where they are happier when you leave, with no medicine and no help. They are understaffed and have less money around than the others. This one is awful and it compares to others that look like a different store. People don't realize but the ones in marin are much cleaner and nicer and have better staff and keep them. read more
