So I looked and found this nice local Rite Aid and was able to park right by the entrance and lave my little dog in the car for a few minutes (I shop in the morning when I bring my dog so I can get my errands done before things really heat up). I was able to get all the items I needed in this small and not crowded store. Though they were clearly running at bare bones staffing I was still able to get my items and to checkout in less than 15 minutes. My dog was neither uncomfortable nor anxious since my trip was so brief. Nice place, clean, intuitively organized, with polite and knowledgeable staff. I had only come for some antacids, a few batteries for a radio, and an impulsive candy bar but that would have taken much longer at the CVS and, maybe I'm imagining this, but the Rite Aid staff seemed somehow happier than the CVS folks who, in my experience seem pretty unhappy with their jobs. So, shorter walk, easy parking, had what I came for and got my errands done in record time. Yay, Rite Aid.

There was was like six people in line all waiting and she just let people cut ahead, that is so disorderly of the employees to let that happen. The cashier with the Ana nametag was there she seems too doating it's kinda off putting. To improve i think some of the employees need to watch more training videos. And management might want to hire more people. Cutting in line stuff bugs me. On a lighter note I like the inventory, I like all the stuff I buy there. Most days I go there things go fine. The staff seem bored, are unfriendly, and aren't uninterested in helping their customers. What finally prompted me to write this review was the restroom. It was absolutely disgusting: no toilet paper, urine on the floor, feces on the toilet, and even feces in the trash can. It was one of the dirtiest public restrooms I've encountered. The rest of the property isn't much better. The parking lot is always covered in trash, and the store itself is dirty and poorly maintained. The entrance is often blocked by people camped outside with large amounts of belongings, making it difficult to get in and out of the store. During my most recent visit, there was loud music playing while people were asking customers for money. I just wanted to pick up my prescription and leave. Overall, this store needs serious attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. It's GROSS!

I am writing this review after an extremely frustrating experience at this CVS. On February 16,…read more2026, shortly after moving from Massachusetts to California, I visited this location to transfer a prescription from a CVS in Massachusetts, a process that should have been straightforward. Because the prescription had expired, I contacted my provider in Boston, who promptly sent a new prescription to CVS in Massachusetts which had to be transferred here in CA. I spent nearly four hours at this pharmacy, during which staff repeatedly gave me incorrect information, claiming that "laws and restrictions" prevented the transfer. This was not true and appeared to mask an inability to process the transfer correctly in their system. When I contacted the CVS in Somerville, MA, they confirmed the prescription had already been transferred to this CVS on Mendocino Ave, CA. A nearby CVS also confirmed they could not assist because the prescription was stuck in this store's queue. Having run out of this medication and unable to obtain it due to this delay, I was forced to seek care in the ER. The lack of competence and accountability at this location is alarming, especially given that similar complaints seem common. I have since transferred all my prescriptions to Walgreens.

I switched health plans last year and cleared that up at the time and have gotten refills twice since then. But I go back a third time to pick up what my new doctor just called in and they said there was an insurance issue and to call the insurance company. Again?!? Did the system revert back to my old insurance? I should have asked which insurance they were referring to but I shouldn't have had to. I thought we cleared that up already but here I am without my medication having wasted a trip. Very frustrating and I have had it and I am done with this pharmacy. I thought this would be a convenient location for picking up my prescriptions but apparently not. Nothing but a frustrating hassle.

It's really not Creekside Pharmacy's fault due to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital egregiously dropped the ball failing sending my prescription orders to Creekside Pharmacy via E-Mail/FAX. Nevertheless, I WAITED AGAIN for well over an hour in order, receiving all the prescribed medications needed for my severe asthma/lung condition. Complications? The attending Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Doctor had to be tracked down in order, obtaining my prescriptions I desperately needed BUT, the Doctor was performing SURGERY so, I had to WAIT until, the Doctor completed the surgery! Unfortunately, her experience with this pharmacy was deeply upsetting. Not only did they refuse to fill her prescription, but staff openly discussed patient information in a way that appeared to violate HIPAA privacy standards. To make matters worse, when her oncologist called ahead on Friday to confirm they could fill the medication, the staff responded with rudeness and even accused her of being dishonest. Facing a life-threatening illness is already overwhelming. Being treated with such a lack of compassion, professionalism, and respect only adds to that burden. If you value your privacy and expect to be treated with dignity and respect, I would strongly encourage you to consider other options. If you want, I can make a slightly softer version (less confrontational) or a more formal complaint-style version depending on where you plan to post it.
