He displays condescending tones when asked questions like he hates his job. I came in to have a disposable camera developed. When asked if I could, the manager responded with again, a condescending tone. "We aren't taking those. It's a disposable camera." Like I didn't know what it was. I told him I know it's a disposable camera, I'm old enough to know. His response??? "Whatever man." No polite customer services, no helpful suggestions. This is the closest pharmacy to my house, so I use it occasionally and regret it every time. Last time I was here they insisted insurance had denied my medication so I was forced to pay out of pocket. Turned out they'd never actually bothered to submit the claim. On today's episode of 'why do I do this to myself' I received a text that my antibiotics were ready, only to be told upon arrival that the prescription was "locked" and couldn't be released without the pharmacist present. And "sorry, she's on a break." I need to stop torturing myself and just make a longer drive to a better pharmacy. read more

Oh holy hell, this is the worst pharmacy. I have never waited as long as I had here. It was close to an hour! The line was so long. People were yelling and the staff people were not moving. Just eating behind the counter and socializing! I had just had surgery and was there to pick up Percocet. I finally got my order, got home and found there were 10 missing! Someone is either woefully incompetent or they were swiping narcotics. Guess what, I can't do anything about it except write this review because if I went back claiming there were 10 Percocet missing, they could just claim I was a drug seeker trying to score more Percocet. I used to live in San Francisco and had an excellent Walgreen's pharmacy off Geary Blvd, between 37th and 38th Avenue. I lived on 47th Avenue in the Richmond district and it was very convinient. Their service was always friendly, my prescriptions were filled on time, I had no quarrel ever; so I am surprised at the lack of customer service near my new residence in Santa Rosa. The location is on the corner of Mission Blvd & Sonoma Highway 12. Their customer service is sorely lacking, read other reviews. One needs to know precisely when to show up to pick up one's prescription. If you show up at the wrong time you'll wait in a long line for mediocre service. I'm writing this review as a guide: Come to this pharmacy in the early morning, from 9am to 11am only. Do not come mid-day. After 11am the line starts building through 1pm and the patience is lacking in both the customers and the pharmacy staff. If you're even slightly handicapped, you'll have difficulty waiting, there are no chairs available in line, they're off to the side and back of the pharmacy, not readily visible to the public. Come with your cane, come with your walker, make it an issue. Their lunch is anywhere from 12:30 to 2:30, though officially it's 1:00 - 2:00 pm, the staff alternates and one staff person might be alone at the counter. Be there at exactly 2:00 pm if you can't come during the early morning hours. OR - come during dinner time just before they close 6:00-7:00pm - when they're open till 7:00. The pharmacy is NOT open the same hours as Walgreen's itself, which is till 10pm. Ask those waiting in line if they could hold your place while you and your cane or walker find the chair in the back alcove of the pharmacy, make sure the staff sees you! Good Luck! read more

Words cannot describe how infuriating it is to deal with this pharmacy. I literally dread this interaction every month. Allison is rude, dismissive, and completely unqualified for human interaction. How is this person a pharmacist? In 5 years of filling the same medication at this location, It has never once (I WISH I was exaggerating) been an easy ordeal. You had two drive-in windows for Pharmacy then you closed one then you close the second so now we go inside the store and there's no sign saying that you're closed for lunch or there's no sign saying when you'll be back and the website says 2 o'clock you'll be back. The clerk says oh they come back at 2:10 215. They never come back at 2 o'clock, and you wanna know how to improve fix those things at least have the decency to put up a damn sign saying we will be back at. read more

Very rude pharmacist. I picked up an RX I am on for 6 wks 5 days ago. Takes a week to fill a RX these days so, I requested at pick up since only 7 day supply. Tried to give them time. Patiently waiting for RX to be filled. As of last night (4 days )said "in progress" As of today has completely dropped off my profile. They do not know why. Human or computer. Perhaps too early per insurance for refill. No communication about that. I am signed up for text messages. She started nice explaining supply process and insurance. Said did not mean to be condescending. Now likely need to order it. May not come in, in time. I asked what consumers can do working with their broken system. She said I have done everything right. That still does not help me get my medication. I asked her to please prioritize ordering it and filling it since I will be out in 48 hrs and can not go without it. She could not wait to get off the phone. I used to love Walgreens. Last few yrs really has gone down hill. I get that they are overworked and understaffed. I communicated that to her. Still condescending in the end. Perhaps that is why she prefaced her initial conversation that way. Filled out my second survey to Walgreens of how bad things are. Nothing improves. Just lip service of how great they are but, can't do anything they claim to do. read more

I encourage everyone to make formal complaints against this deplorable pharmacy. The rude female pharmacist with the accent is unethical and probably acting illegally. I don't necessarily want to get into the specifics but I believe lodging formal complaint is the only way to get them to do their jobs and also stop putting peoples' lives at risk by not filling prescriber's orders. In our case for blood thinners, which was urgent. We even had our doctor's office and insurance company call the pharmacy but by then the pharmacist was so high on her pathetic power trip we had to get the 'script sent and filled elsewhere. If I could give minus 10 to the Pharmacy here I would. Over the years they have gotten progressively worse. I blame management. The pharmacy is understaffed and the counter people poorly trained. Since they are the only "preferred " pharmacy for my health insurance in Santa Rosa I have to use them. A RX for an antibiotic faxed to them early in the morning taking 4 days to fill and only received after I went in person and waited for over 45 minutes for someone to count out and label 31 pills. There is always a huge line of frustrated customers. Walgreens is making a lot of money and we have to suffer. The cosmetics department is mostly empty shelves. read more

Hands down the worst pharmacy around. My doc sent my rx in at 10am. I called several times to check on it and couldn't reach anyone. Finally got someone on the line and they told me to come get it at 530. I got to the store at 5:00. Waited in a very long and slow moving line for seriously 45 minutes, and when I got to the window the person told me it wasn't ready and they were about to close. And was rude about it. The next day I was the only person in HR drive through pickup and was there close to an hour- no exaggeration. The lady kept forgetting we were there. I dropping off expired meds. I attemp to put inhalers, the pharmacist says no!!! Don't take them. I'd looked up the rules. All pills were out of bottles in bags. She says have to be in bags. I told her I'd done that. Then tried to. put in some viles. She yells I told you only pills. I said you don't have to be rude. She said I'm not. It no wonderpe nobody shops there. I was only person I'n pharmacy. There were 2 people shopping. Most are so rude especially managers. I used to go to this store for meds etc. .. haven't been there for 5 years. Horrible then . This place is horrible. If you are seriously ill and need medication don't go here. My doctor called prescriptions in three times in one day and they never received it. She then phoned twice and talked to a pharmacist stressing the urgency of the situation. Finally at the end of the day We got the meds after a nine hour deal. No apologies just plain rudeness. Saw a lady crying and begging for the meds for a sick daughter. This place is so dysfunctional. If Walgreens is reading this,take it seriously and fire everyone there and clean house. As a medical professional, I have to say the managing pharmacist is a liar and lazy. no compassion. Broke my leg today and showed up at 5:30 to pick up some pain meds. Said she wouldn't fill it because of "out of state physician" ( got it from the emergent care doc). Then said need to talk to the doc but we all know narcotics are sent with electronic confirmation and 2 factor authorization From the doc. there were multiple people complaining of mistakes. they gave the guy in front of us buprenoprphrine (a narcotic) rather than the med he should be getting. If you're the only space in town for vaccines, hire enough employees to deal with it. I don't want a frazzled pharmacist or nurse. They are all hard working; this is a call for better management or just don't go to Walgreens. I had to deal with this train wreck for myself and daughter, and I will go out of my way to not give money to this company. I filled out the same form three times on one occasion, not including the form I filled out prior to my "reservation" (which was useless and took an hour every time.) So they have a ton of valuable information on paper probably floating around. I had asked for the flu shot too, but the individual at the counter just ignored it and I didn't get it. After the shit show of getting the shots for my daughter, I didn't care to fight for it when I was getting my booster. There are really no words to describe how much I abhor waiting to get a prescription here. There is no YouTube video, song, or podcast captivating enough that can save me from the dark abyss that is waiting to get a prescription at Walgreens. First of all, even if you have express pick-up (where you prepay for your prescriptions and get a QR code or numeric code for the drive-through), they no longer have a line for that, so you will have to wait in the long line as everyone else. Sometimes I wish I had two of me so I could see what takes longer - waiting in the store or waiting in the drive-thru. My total time wasted today was 35 minutes. Yes, I waited in the drive-thru for 35 min; 3 people who showed up behind me left, that's how bad it was. I even pressed the call button to make sure they hadn't forgotten about me; the same cheery lady kept answering and said she would get back to me. It wasn't until 20 min had passed (I had already pressed the call button twice at this point), that I called through my phone, and a nice Asian lady who I remember through previous Interactions, actually picked up and got things moving. Basically, if you need a prescription ASAP, sorry, you have no choice but to go here. If you have time, I'd transfer all your prescriptions to CVS Caremark, which is what I do. read more

This is a horrible pharmacy. HORRIBLE. Avoid at all costs. In addition to them telling me "one more hour, one more hour" for over 24 hours, then I get there to pick up the prescription that was supposed to be ready 1/2 before I got there and it still wasn't ready. They have a million excuses. Well, NOT MY PROBLEM! Hire more people. TRAIN MORE PEOPLE. I DON'T CARE if three people called off sick. THAT IS an indicator of poor management. You either show up, or you are fired. Then get someone else. I would rate them -100 if I could. I was so angry when I finally got my prescription, that although I needed a few things, I'll be damned before I will ever buy ANYTHING in that OVERPRICED store ever again. TL;DR: Do NOT go to this pharmacy. Understaffed, resulting in terrible customer service, and an average of 45 minutes on hold if you are trying to reach them by phone. It's not worth it. I haven't written a review in a while, but my experience with this Walgreens pharmacy has been so horrendous that I feel it is my civic duty to warn other people to STAY AWAY. This was my first experience with them, and it will be my last. To start, they are severely understaffed. I hate to direct my frustration toward the pharmacy staff, because it isn't totally their fault. However, the first time I went in to pick up my medications (since the drive-thru that I was so excited about was "out of order"), there was a long line that was mostly people wanting a Covid booster shot, but it looked like the line for picking up medications. Several people, including myself, stood in line for far too long with no direction. It was over 100 degrees outside, and they left their store doors wide open for some godforsaken reason, so the air conditioner was nullified. As someone with anxiety, especially around a lot of people AND being overheated, this is my personal nightmare. When I finally got to the counter, the woman helping me was literally yelling out my full name and the type of medications I was trying to pick up. I understand it's hard to hear with the plastic Covid barrier, but I really do not appreciate having my medications being announced to a bunch of strangers. Two of my meds were not ready, and she wanted me to wait. I told her I couldn't be in there any longer, and I'd come back another day. This first visit took 40 minutes...just to pick up some medication. I called the pharmacy twice over the next couple days, waiting 40 minutes and 50 minutes on hold, respectively, before I was able to talk to a human. I'm not even exaggerating. I have a full-time job and I had to sit there hoping that by the time someone picked up my call, I wouldn't be in the middle of something important. They kept telling me that my doctor hadn't sent in a refill for one of my prescriptions, which she had actually done twice by this point because apparently Walgreens lost the first one or didn't enter it in. I also kept getting e-mails from the pharmacy telling me that something was "wrong with my insurance," but when I spoke to pharmacy staff, they didn't know what I was talking about. I finally got a hold of them today (called exactly at 9 a.m. when they open, still waited on hold for 25 minutes), and basically had to demand that they agree to refill this one last prescription before I get off the phone. I'm no Karen - I try to be understanding - but I've had it by now. The pharmacist agreed to have it ready today, and after I pick it up, I will never go back to that Walgreens or its pharmacy ever again. I apologize for the novel-length review, but this has honestly been a traumatizing experience for me. If you are considering switching to a new pharmacy, DO NOT GO HERE, unless you're a masochist. The worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with, and at 76 and an RN that speaks volumes. Never have we tried to pick up a prescription without problems and/or blank stares. The staff run around like chickens with their heads cut off, and the supposedly licensed pharmacist refuses to give her name and no pharmaceutical license can be seen. They swear they never received your prescription regardless of how many times it's been sent. Our insurance has a contract with Walgreens, but it is not worth the aggravation.we will be transferring our business elsewhere. I strongly suggest you fill your prescriptions elsewhere. I am moving my business to another pharmacy. I do appreciate everyone is short staffed and that causes stress - but wrt to my visit today there wasn't a line - which is unusual - so the attitude of this guy was uncalled for. He kept yelling at the person helping me and I couldn't hear her and just said - I can't hear you with him talking/yelling over you. I then had a question for him and he was sarcastic and rude. Orders getting mixed up, emails that arrive after I pick up prescriptions saying that the prescriptions are ready, techs who don't know what they're doing, clueless chashiers Pharmacist was dropping things and rushing around and arguing with techs and still not getting orders right (he clearly had no control over the pharmacy, as he should have, as the head). Do not go to this pharmacy right now. Used to be great, but they are having serious staffing issues. Drive through is always closed. I've waited over an hour on hold before giving up. They seem to not start working on my prescriptions until I come in to ask them about them. I've been waiting for a week now for something I get every month and they used to have no problem with. If I could give zero stars that would be too many. I'm quitting this Pharmacy. I don't go often but each time is ridiculous with wait times. Many customers end up having to wait longer for their prescriptions after being served at the counter thinking their prescription was ready. Today, I arrived at 9:40a.m. and it wasn't open yet even though posted hours start at 9am. The Pharmacist did not arrive so they couldn't open. There were many customers waiting and the manager never came over to give an update. So after waiting for about 10 minutes I left only to have to come back in the afternoon to a long line. I won't be coming back. It used to be so convenient when it was a 24 hour pharmacy. Seriously terrible service each and every time. The pharmacist not arriving is the last straw for me. Today is June 24th, and the only thing that's happened is that Scott, some guy from Walgreen's, actually called me this afternoon to give me grief because I haven't picked up one of my prescriptions. I asked if they had filled the other 5, and - hand to God - he couldn't answer. He did get super huffy with me because he perceived me as 'belligerent' or some such thing. Now I ask you: how would your tone be if you'd already been without your meds for over a week? I started laughing and he told me he was going to hang up on me. I guess I should mention that I called corporate a few days ago, and was promised they'd call back within 2 days. Obviously that didn't happen. I called them back this afternoon, and was told that now they will kick it up to the district manager and I will hear back in 2 days! Oh, sure. One more thing: Walgreens was rewarded the TriCare account, which is military veteran's insurance. This is how the people who have served their country are treated by Walgreens. An army guy in line was almost in tears, he was so frustrated and angry. He has a sick child at home and was trying to get her medicine. If you are able, choose ANY pharmacy besides Walgreens. This particular store is on Sonoma in Santa Rosa, but the other Walgreens have similarly low ratings. read more

I made an appointment for my 7 year old to get her second COVID vaccination shot and waited TWO HOURS before we were seen. When we arrived, it took us 30 minutes just to check in and while standing in line discovered that four other families had been waiting for 90+ minutes. The only explanation given was that they were understaffed and that we were lucky the pharmacy was even open. The pharmacist preparing and giving the shot clearly had no interest in serving the people waiting and had no "bedside manner" when it came to giving a tired, scared, and upset child. There is no way I would ever recommend this location to anyone. read more
