It took me awhile to jump on the CVS bandwagon by choice and for many years, I would visit just out of convenience. However, I've come to realize that all CVS's do a wonderful job staying stocked and clean. Most importantly, the staff is very friendly at this CVS. I am one of those regulars who has never actually signed up for a CVS card, but every time I visit, they still give me the discount by swiping another card. In addition, they have some great sales! So now I can happily say that I visit this CVS by choice now rather then out of convenience. read more

I'm a fan of CVS because they give you free money just for regularly shopping there. Sunscreen, nail polish, meds, lotions, etc. All that crap you need, they have. Not all CVS are alike,, however. Frustration without pharmacy coverage. Pills with co-pays last year are now FIVE times more this year. I got a slight discount but not enough to buy a burger and fries. I now agree with others that our health system is broken and affects everyone without the government or a company kicking in for medical insurance. Came here to get a flu shot, the pharmacy technicians were very kind and knowledgeable. From check in to injection the total time was 11 minutes, definitely worth it! Now they were out of 20% off coupons for store purchases after you get your flu shot which was a bummer but the tech informed me they could manually remove the discount up front. Cool, so I decided to pick up some makeup purchases (which they were lacking lots of stock) and after she interrogated me as though I placed a fake bandaid on my arm, after showing the injection receipt and flu shot vaccination medical ID numbers she reluctantly took 13% off the transaction. Like really? Afterwards I questioned her and she said "take it or leave it". Like WOW how rude!! I had biked a total of 30 miles so far for the day so i didn't have the energy to argue, but SERIOUSLY?!? When I walked out, chuckling to myself at the terrible customer service, a 60+ year old man came out after me and said "was your clerk as much of a b&;@$ as mine?" YES DUDE. Worst Pharmacy I have ever experienced. I called in prescription. On a Monday. I went called and said they were not ready. The person who answered said the had 2000 prescriptions to fill. Ok. Waited until Friday. Friday the were out of stock. The manager called another CVS on Thomas and Hayden. He transferred to that CVS. So I drove over there waited in line to be told that they can't fill my type of prescription as a transfer. So next day I called Pharmacy spoke to same manager told him what happened. He said let me find out I'll call you so you don't wait on hold. EIGHT HOURS LATER....Still no call. So I call them on the hold phone for 1 hour and 13 minutes!!! I hung up and continued to call back finally someone answered. I was cool and ask for my prescription. He says sorry we are all out! We have one?!? I explained that they had my prescription since Monday!! That they get deliveries every day the manager told me. So how in the hell was this not ordered. When they knew they need it. He said well we have 2000 prescription to fill. I said yea you told me that last Monday. I don't care I need my medication. The best he could do was say it would be in Monday. Yeah right. This pharmacy is like doing business in Jamaica. I going else where after I wrap up with these guys. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

They have some really awesome lines of beauty products carried at this store that are great quality and I have yet to find them in other CVS stores or even Walgreens for that matter. I was digging the whole place. Very clean, parking lot is beautiful. I didn't think I'd ever think of a parking lot as beautiful. But then I needed something. And had to ask an employee. That's where I went wrong. Had I never interacted with the staff I would've found my new favorite CVS For my lonely insomniac 2am shopping trips. Nay. Not one, not two or three. But each one of the FIVE female employees I had the displeasure of getting close to was flat out RUDE to me. Now you say, "Taylor, you must be paranoid and insecure from being a chubby teen." Yes. You're right, but this is NOT my imagination, they are literally shit-talking me in the aisle next to me talking about my clothing, hair, makeup, tattoos. Yes, girls I know it is Scottsdale but I can't be in pageant makeup 24/7. I asked one girl who seemed nice enough if she knew if a sample was available for a perfume I was wanting to smell. She glaced quickly and said "doesn't look like it". Ooookkkaayy. "Do you think you could open one for me to smell? I guess If not that's fine." She just says "okay thanks". And leaves. They're all concentrated in the makeup and beauty side of the store all gossiping and giggling with each other like it's lunch hour. Genuinely perturbed that I would interrupt their discussion of who their friend is sleeping with (they use a different word lol) There's one with long dark hair who just answers any question I have or saying "excuse me" with the DIRTIEST sideways glare, LIKE DIRTY SANCHEZ DIRTY, never actually bothering to face me directly. Following this with extended periods of silence, then a one word answer dripping with pure hate. Another huffs and puffs, rolling her eyes and I guess doesn't know to let someone through when they say pardon me and between to wedge themselves between the aisle shelves and miss Huffy herself. I swear I have never felt this way since freshman year of high school in north Scottsdale. I transferred to a Phoenix school for sophomore. We are here in the drive thru picking up a prescription and waiting for over 20 minutes. They have the worst customer service in the pharmacy. My husband received a text saying the medicine was ready and when we finally get to the window they said it wasn't ready and we needed to come in and wait. We were not very happy and the pharmacist was not very friendly. We need to find a new pharmacy this is not the first time the drive thru has been this way. read more

During our three day stay in Scottsdale we visited this CVS twice. I was happy to find it wasn't too far from our hotel, and it had everything we needed even when we ran out of sunscreen! The night supervisor was pretty cool he was telling me how great it is to see people use their CVS card. That's nice to know people care so much about what their company has to offer. read more

Came here for passport picture. Horrible!!! I had them take my picture a few times...and when printed the photo was blurry each time. I finally gave up....they seemed bothered that I had them retake my picture. But, hey, who wants to be stuck with a bad passport photo???? read more

Both drive thru pharmacy windows need to be remodeled/ replaced. The telephone situation they have going on isn't working. I switched to this pharmacy from across the street from frys to make it easier to be able to have the drive up option to be safer to not have to go in the store during Covid. To my disappointment I'm now going to have to switch pharmacies again with my doctors office. Which is a pain and difficult to get all prescriptions switched over in the first place. Yesterday was the first day to pick up. They have a dirty phone you have to touch which is full of germs of god knows what all over it which isn't safe during this Covid pandemic. I'm a high risk patient as it is. I had Clorox wipes in the car to Sanitize afterwards. Which would be very inconvenient every time. This pharmacy is very out of date. I have never been to a pharmacy like this. All the other drive up pharmacies don't have that issue. It needs a make over! Old town Scottsdale is a older community base. It's time to up date CVS!!!!! RUDE, SNARKY.....NEVER AGAIN, I do recomend the thomas and hayden location there pharm people CARE and are FRIENDLY

I will be taking all of my business to Walgreens down the street moving forward. TERRIBLE customer service in the pharmacy department here. Dropped off a prescription around 6pm and was told there would be a wait and that it may be ready "in like, a couple hours... like maybe around 9". I said okay and clarified that they had the correct number on file. I also asked if I could be notified by phone call or text when it was ready and even VERIFIED that they had the correct number on file. Obviously, I would not be waiting for 2 hours in the store for my prescription. After calling 3 TIMES BETWEEN 9:45-9:50 to not even be able to get a hold of someone, I decided to drive down because it's conveniently located by my house. I walked into CVS and rushed to the pharmacy to see that they had closed at 10pm. I will admit fault to assuming since the CVS Says "24hours" on the building that I assumed the pharmacy was too - nope. They close at 10. It was 10:09 on the dot when I walked to the front of the in store pharmacy and there were two ladies behind the pull down gate. The gate isn't sound proof and you can see right through it. I was standing right there and since they didn't acknowledge me, I decided to announce myself and ask if my prescription was ready. She said, "sorry we're closed". I explained to them that I was never notified of my prescription being ready and asked if she could look in the system to see if it had been filled. She said it had been ready and filled before 9pm. She proceeded to argue with me about how she told me it would be ready at 9. SHE NEVER GAVE ME AN EXACT TIME AND clarified that I would be notified via text when it was ready. I never received a call OR a text. I asked since it was just a few minutes after closing if I could just pick the prescription up and her response was, "the register is closed". No apology, nothing. She said, "I can give you you're prescription paper back" and SLID it through a crack in the pull down gate and said "can you reach it". Absolutely appalled by customer service like this. It's unacceptable. Since I needed to start this medication this evening ... I went to a Walgreens down the street and had it filled by a FRIENDLY, personable pharmacist in under 10 minutes. DO NOT take your business here if you are sick and need medication in a timely manner. I really hope neither of the women working tonight are shift managers. Huge inconvenience and headache. read more

Most incompetent pharmacy in the world. Here to pick up a reoccuring Rx I've been have filled here for nearly a year. After ten minutes of hemming and hawing, pharmacy tech says it's at the Thomas Hayden store, which is weird because I've never been to that store. They assure me the Rx is there. I call that store, and lo and behold, my Rx isn't there, it's at Indian School and Miller. I head back in, explain their mistake, and they don't seem bothered that they just tried to send me on a wild goose chase. After more hemming and hawing, they tell me oh, it is here, and it's supposed to be filled and waiting for you, but it's not and we don't know why. Um, okay. We can't just fill it for you even though it's supposed to be ready. Oh, okay... I'm still here (45+ minutes), waiting for some sort of resolution. I'm guessing at this point it would be easier and faster to get a new prescription from my doctor and have it filled elsewhere than to continue trying to get these folks to behave in any manner even beginning to approach competence. read more

I've been to this pharmacy three times this week for the atm, pens and to grab some energy drinks. Out of all those times she has never once said I was "banned". Funny thing is yesterday evening she rang me up at the cash register for a set of pens and mascara and she was "normal". I come in tonight to return two foundations that I got at a different location because they were off color, one wasn't even open. She denied to return one, ok no big deal I'll take it back to the other place I got it from. As I was walking out, she follows me out and screams "your not allowed back here, you two were banned once before!". I've had one experience with this CVS pharmacy and it will definitely be my last. Walgreens will be my only pharmacy from now on. Here's what happened: A doctor called in a prescription for anti-biotics for my brother on Sunday. When my brother went to pick it up, they told him that they did not have it. The next day my brother calls the doctor and explains that the prescription is not there. The doctor promptly calls the pharmacy and is told that the prescription is in fact there and ready for pickup. The following day (which is now 2 days past when he needed to start taking the meds), my brother goes back to the pharmacy and is once again told that his prescription is not there. At this point, I'm frustrated, so I call the pharmacy myself. I get a very nice girl on the phone, but a person who clearly doesn't know what she is doing because after every question I asked, she needed to put me on hold and ask someone else. She once again tells me that the prescription is not there and I explain that the doctor checked the day before and was told that it is there. I ask her multiple times if she can query her system by DOB in case the name was entered incorrectly and she tells me that she cannot. My brother again calls the doctor back, who at this point is really irritated with the pharmacy, as well, because he keeps having to bother with this. Finally a man gets on the phone with the doctor and says that my brother's name was entered wrong and that the girl should've searched for the prescription a different way. So, needless to say, my brother had to wait three days to get his anti-biotics and everyone had to waste their time with this. I'm not sure if this is a training issue or if this girl shouldn't be working there, but it seems to me that if she couldn't resolve this problem, she should've gone to someone who could. I suppose this type of incompetance would be a little more acceptable at McDonalds, but for obvious reasons, I have higher standards for people working in a pharmacy. This is why I won't be returning to any CVS locations. I have never had this problem happen at a Walgreens. read more

WORST PHARMACY EVER! I have a recurring RX that I attempted to pick up on 5/14 and was told that insurance would not cover it until 5/16. Fair enough, I came back on 5/17 expecting the RX to be filled. The pharmacy tech said that it would not be ready until 5/24, which they claim is a month after I picked it up last time. Incorrect- I have the receipt dated 4/15! I left and called my doctor to cancel this RX and call it into a different pharmacy. Two minutes later my phone rings and Matt (actual pharmacist?) calls and asks what happened. When I explained he offered to fill the RX and I told him no, I cannot deal with a pharmacy that cannot give me the correct date to pick something up. He then accuses me of cursing at his staff (seriously?) and tells me that I would be better served at another pharmacy. Check your phones from the drive thru (they are recorded) and check your staff before you accuse loyal customers of something they didn't do. Hello, Walgreens!!! read more

This evening my 3yr old son and I dropped in to grab a handful of things: juice, vitamins, nutritional drinks, cereal, coffee and water. At the end of our shopping my son tells me he has to go potty, so we find that the restroom is 'closed for cleaning'. We rush to the register to check out before he wets himself, no workers were available at the cashier desk. one of the cashiers- a blonde woman strolls over to the register after her break ends even after I tell her that we are in a hurry and why. She asks a brunette woman (that was standing talking to another worker the whole time we were waiting for assistance) to ring us up because she needs to clock back in. Amanda, (the brunette) rings us up and takes her sweet time, then asks me if I have my cvs card on me. I scraped around in my purse and responded with no, it's not on me, I may have not registered it just yet. (I usually frequent Walgreens and just obtained a cvs card last month) she charges me full price for my handful of needs. The total came to $68.38! I asked her if she really charged me full price anyway and she responded with "mm yeah you won't get the sales without your card." Thanks a lot Amanda! Your professional courtesy was appreciated! I'm guessing you don't have children that went through the potty-training period. read more
