I heard the employees say they got approval to shut down, I came back when they texted me that the prescription was ready and they were closed. I've been a CVS customer for years... Overall, I've been pleased but I find myself a little annoyed lately about a few things: 1 - I feel like the pharmacists and those that work in the pharmacy are sometimes flustered; maybe overworked? I've even caught a mistake here or there where they don't put refills when my Rx as called for them. 2 - The CVS Rewards program is great... but for some reason, I can never edit the phone # associated with my account or add an email address. i've tried to do so online, and I always get error messages which is really annoying! 3 - Not all stores are consistent. The newer stores are clean and easy to navigate, etc... while some of the older stores need facelifts! All of those things aside, this particular CVS location has been a great go-to place for pharmacy, toiletries, snacks, magazines, etc... and I'm sure it will continue to be. Their private parking lot is convenient too. Prices are moderate and when I take advantage of reward coupons, it makes me feel really good. Nothing like saving money in this economy! read more

While having a prescription transferred from another pharmacy to this store due to insurance requirements, I was assured that CVS would call same-day to the other pharmacy to initiate the transfer. I let them know the severity of missing my medications and they let me know they would surely make the call that day and that my prescription would be available in 24-48 hours. It has been over 48 hours and after speaking with the other pharmacy, am aware that this CVS pharmacy has yet to even reach out to my original pharmacy. I will now be paying out-of-pocket to have my prescription filled today at the original pharmacy. I cannot emphasize how poorly my experiences with this CVS pharmacy have been over the course of 2 years--which is why I switched to a different pharmacy in the first place. I recommend going anywhere else to get prescriptions filled, as the workers here are generally scum and do not care about the well-being of their customers enough to follow through on extremely important (yet minimally time-consuming) promises. read more

The staff for the most part is very kind except for Rita, she is the rudest person here. She was very condescending over the phone and made me feel ashamed for calling in. I was told by another pharmacist to call a couple days in advance of my prescription to make sure they had it on hand so I wouldn't go without. I am convinced CVS is the absolute worst pharmacy in America. This one in Scottsdale in particular. Always slow, always understaffed, never has the prescription ready even when it was called in the day prior so then you have to either wait 20 minutes or go and do something else and come back. Get it together already!!! Oh and to add to the terrible pharmacy the store is awful as well. There is never anyone there to assist at checkout which leaves you using the kiosk checkout if they aren't broken. read more

I wish there was an option of no stars. I would love to sue this pharmacy. They completely stopped answering phone calls and refilling a prescription was impossible. They said we are about 3 days behind like that was no big deal, like they didn't care about the withdrawals I was having from not being able to get my prescription refilled on time and my insulin dependent dog going a day without his insulin. Thank Taso the Pharmacist. We had a scare with my husband's diabetes and he forgot his meter at home while traveling. But he was wearing his Freestyle Lubre. When his numbers drop below a certain point he's required to check it the old way. He couldn't because he forgot to pack that meter. Taso saved the day and a ER visit for us. He gave us instructions what to do, what he could eat to stabilize his numbers. He shared personal information regarding his Doctor roommate and also for himself. Thank you soo much for sharing. My wife was released from the hospital and this CVS pharmacy was closed due to staffing. There was no one except the checkout person to ask about filling prescriptions. She recommended the I use the "one around the corner" which was over a mile away on Thomas Road. When I got to Thomas Road, I was told that the prescriptions could only be filled at the CVS on Miller, or the address on the prescription needed to be changed by the doctor. I came in to grab a drink and use the restroom. The restroom literally looks like it's never been cleaned. It's honestly one of the worst bathrooms I've ever been on. There was poop smeared all over one of the stalls and the handles of the bathroom.... I am so beyond grossed out. I did tell someone about this and I hope that they fix it. There were water marks/colored stains all over the walls, hair all over the ground and the cleaning supplies were tipped over on the ground in the larger stall. This is so unacceptable. Absolutely awful experience this past week. Understand you are understaffed but there's people with medications that could be life threatening. This is a serious and ongoing issue with this pharmacy location - I've waited hours and hours on hold and have wasted SO much of my time trying to pick up my prescriptions. This not something recent, it's been ongoing for over a year +. Finally done. Had my doctor transfer my prescriptions to Costco and they filled within the hour. Actually answer their phones and provide amazing service. I'll never return to this pharmacy and waste anymore time again. The only reason they're still in business is simply due to their prime location in Scottsdale. This last week has been a nightmare. I even spoke to the store manager who had no sympathy or care nor had a solution other than check back later on hours and wait. Well I've been waited hours and hours on hold and wasted more time in a drive through that doesn't move. Highly recommend you take and transfer your prescriptions to Costco. I would give 0 stars if I could. As an employee of a major medical facility I can say with confidence this pharmacy is terrible on all levels. They do not pay attention to details. I switched to this pharmacy a few months ago and they never have the prescriptions available, they give broken pills, are sometimes off count (scary considering they handle controlled substances) and will try to send you away with incorrect quantities, which means they're not paying attention to what the physician is ordering. They don't take responsibility for their own actions. There's always an "issue" with MY insurance or MY doctor not doing something right and then once you ask questions they're rude and give you attitude. Today was one of the worst experiences I've ever encountered. The lady was rude and claimed my doctor never sent the rx, then claimed my insurance didn't cover it (even though my insurance covers it every month) and once I corrected her on both issues she stated "oh well we don't have that in stock so you're just going to have to wait and go without it". Which tells me the staff are uneducated and do not understand the potential dangers of abruptly stopping a maintenance medication. I suggest you do NOT use this pharmacy. And if you need more reasons why you shouldn't here's a list: - They don't fill 90 days because it's less money for them - They don't call and let you know that they can't fill your rx, they wait for you to get there then say "we don't have anything" - They won't transfer your Rx to another location (even if it's another CVS) if they're out of stock. -They make YOU contact your physician and get a new rx sent in every month. (Everywhere else it's done for you by the pharmacy tech) - They make YOU call them and tell them you want it filled even though the doctor just sent it in TO BE FILLED - They're incompetent and don't know how to communicate. There's a Walgreens a few blocks away on Osborn and Scottsdale that provides great service if you're looking to switch. read more

2.5 stars. Is it me, or do prices at CVS usually run lower than Walgreen's? I suppose the two are just like every other competing company out there, raising the prices on certain items while lowering prices on others to make it look like they're offering a sale that day... Last time I visited a CVS location (not this one), I couldn't find what I was searching for. (Funny enough, I found the items at a Walgreen's closer to home.) At THIS particular location, I fell for an advertising gimmick that, on quick glance (I only had a couple of minutes to spare), looked like I was saving on a travel-sized toothpaste, but it turned out that the "savings" would apply on my NEXT trip, providing I visit before the coupon's expiration date, on the same product. I keep hearing that signing up for a CVS loyalty card pays, but I've yet to believe it! read more

I've been loyal to CVS as I have family that works for their corporate and have loved the service up until now at other locations and other states; but this is by far the worst pharmacy location I've ever dealt with. There wasn't a single time I had a refill that I didn't encounter issues and incredibly rude service from their techs. I will be moving my prescriptions over to my local Walgreens as I can't deal with it anymore the amount of wasted time I spend having to try to get their issues resolved with rude people. Someone in front of me in line was complaining of the same thing. I also haven't seen one consistent face since the time I started visiting this location. I went to 3 pharmacies on a Saturday and they were all closed due to fact they couldn't anyone to work. I needed my medications which was an emergency!! And I am without , I hold you CVS COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE. I scheduled a COVID test and received a confirmation email. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, behind 2 cars, I drove up and noticed a sign that said "No COVID testing here". The person said that they stopped doing the testing a week ago. My question? Why did I not receive an email or phone call letting me know this? If you can avoid going to the pharmacy here, do it. Currently sitting in the pharmacy after 3 trips back and forth because each time they stated that my faxed prescriptions were not there. Pharmacists are on rotation far too often, always looking like someone ran over their dog (apart from maybe two people I've seen before), and they don't know how to communicate with one another. Even my doctor called to confirm that she sent my prescription yesterday and was frustrated with them needing to call and ask. I put two prescriptions on hold and this confused the hell out of them as well. Suggestions for management: have one person deal with each customer so your employees aren't playing telephone. read more

THE WORST pharmacy experience I've ever had. Got a notification that my prescription would be ready for pick up at 1:15. Went to pick it up around 4:45 and they said it would be about 20-30 minutes until it was ready. Annoying but okay. Returned after 20 minutes of waiting and with the most attitude I've ever received from someone in the service industry, she replies with "I already told you it's going to be 20-30 minutes"... uhhhh that was 20 minutes ago. I have never left a review but the way that pharmacy worker just spoke to me on the phone was UNACCEPTABLE! Wouldn't listen to me and told me that "I'd start counting out your prescription for 30 days that's when you can get a refill" just kept repeating that, which that wasn't my question, nor was it the reason I called. Last month I wasn't notified on my script and they never filled it. I had to call three times to get them to fill it which meant I went over 30 days. This messages said they weren't filling it. Message didn't give me a reason why but apparently this man with a tiny complex believes that I picked up a script late so that is why they won't fill it yet, but NOPE they didn't fill it on time! No resolution after a 20 minute wait. If your job is that bad- get a new one. Disgusting. My question has went unanswered. read more

this pharmacy deserves ZERO stars. This place is a shit show. All of the people working seem so flustered and always mess up my prescriptions. I went to pick up my medicine the other day and waited an hour and a half in line just to be told "they are so backed up that it's not ready" then come back the next day and wait another 45 minutes to get my medication and was missing one of them. I told them to forget it because I didn't want to wait any longer. I have never been to a pharmacy that was so disorganized. This is the 2nd time I've been to this CVS. The staff is always pleasant. This time I went in for passport photos. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I never had a bad experience at this location every single employee I have had the pleasure of encountering goes above and beyond good customer service. They're all very helpful and nice! For instance, the pharmacy is rad, they gave me calls personally keeping me updated on the status of my prescription as opposed to an automated message or text. Even while on the phone I can hear a friendly smile in their voice! I spoke to Jessica today and she is taking up her own time researching through her coupons in order to get me the best price. Thank you for providing excellent customer service that so many other big companies are lacking this day in age. A little bit really does go a long long way. Absolute worst healthcare experience I have ever had. The pharmacist that came to speak to me was a complete bitch. My prescriptions were called in at 3 today. I called multiple times and only ever got the recording which said they would be ready by 6:49. I saw they closed at 7 and the line was super long so got in line at 7. Got to the window a little after 7 and they told me they weren't ready and they were SO rude acting like it was my fault and I was wasting their time being in line. I'm sure they are understaffed and tired and overworked but I have a serious infection and needed to start antibiotics ASAP. This is completely unacceptable. CVS needs to pay more or do better to attract employees so they aren't this understaffed. This woman should not have a license and practicing medicine if this is how she is going to treat people and this location needs fo be shut down until they get it together. People are going to die waiting for meds and they wouldn't even care. read more
