We will be sure that our doctors don't mistakenly send RXs to CVS again. The recent issue with CVS points to what a difference there is between community and corporate pharmacies. Notre Dame takes care of customers like family - the opposite of corporate CVS, which makes it nearly impossible to talk to someone by phone and in our case hung up on our doctor's office as they tried to explain the how to correct the mistake CVS pharmacy had made. I was really excited and immediately called my doctor to send my prescription there. When I arrived I was treated very rudely and told I should not come back to get my prescription filled again. They treated me with incredible disrespect for calling around to get my prescription filled when I couldn't get them filled at my normal pharmacy or any of the dozens of other pharmacies I had called. He then proceeded to tell me the other pharmacies were lying to me and that they all do have the medication in stock but for some reason won't fill it for me anyway. I'm familiar with the laws for controlled substances, and I know the pharmacist at Medindex is the one who was lying to me. I also know about the national shortage of ADHD meds because it has made the news. I don't understand why I was treated this way. They filled filled the prescription, but told me not to come back. Not that I would given how rudely I was treated.

So I was referred to this place via my caseworker at local agency…read more I called and spoke with some lady, no name given, and told her about the referral and got no response, so I asked if she understood what I meant and she coldly told me "we're not allowed to talk about what organizations they work with". I thought it was a little weird but approved them moving my prescriptions from another pharmacy. Weeks went by with no courtesy call to let me know if everything was moved over and ok. So I called asking about getting an important prescription refilled and was told that I couldn't because my insurance was canceled. I explained that I get this one covered by a state program and that it's supposed to be free. I felt like I was talking to a wall. I told her that I just wasn't feeling comfortable with the way things were going and asked to have everything sent back to the original pharmacy. She said that she couldn't do it and I needed to have them contact her. Called the original one immediately and explained the situation and was relieved that they would get everything back and that I could get my refill as soon as possible. I'm really disappointed that this didn't work out especially because of the glowing review and referral my caseworker gave.

When I called University to see if my script was filled exactly like the previous one it was discovered that my doctor didn't note the change and I was back to the previous prescription. Even though it was not their error, the pharmacist discounted the corrected prescription. That was a pretty big deal to me since my insurance does not cover my meds. I would strongly encourage anyone considering MediVera to read this before placing an order…read more My doctor initially prescribed compounded semaglutide through MediVera. I was using it for Long COVID symptoms as well as weight management, based on the treatment plan we had discussed. I started at a low dose to allow my body to acclimate, and I responded well. My doctor then increased the dose for my second month as planned. The second prescription was a completely different experience. I had essentially no response. I had no meaningful weight loss, and more importantly, I did not experience the improvement in my Long COVID symptoms that I had experienced with the first prescription. I contacted my doctor, and she had her nurse look into the situation. I was told there had been a known issue involving the pharmacy. I then contacted MediVera myself and provided all of my information. I was told that the pharmacy manager/supervisor would call me back. I was also told that the vial may have gotten too warm before it was shipped or that it may not have been formulated correctly. Nobody ever called me back. After discussing everything with my doctor again, we decided to switch to tirzepatide because we felt there was better evidence for what we were trying to accomplish with my Long COVID symptoms. I also had to allow time for the semaglutide to clear from my system before starting the new medication. When I was ready to have the new prescription filled, I called MediVera again and specifically asked for a supervisor. They struggled to locate my information despite having my previous prescriptions. I eventually discovered that they had my name spelled incorrectly in their system. This was particularly concerning because I had provided and verified my information during previous calls. When I brought up my concerns again, I was once again told that someone would follow up. I was then told I could proceed with the new prescription and that if I had a problem with it, they would replace it. My question was simple: What about the medication I had already paid for that I was concerned may have had an issue? The pharmacist gave me several explanations. When I explained why those explanations didn't make sense based on what I had previously been told, his response was simply: "That's right." At that point, I no longer felt confident in the pharmacy's handling of the situation. I understand that medications don't work the same way for everyone. That is not the reason for this review. My concern is the handling of a potential medication-quality issue, the lack of follow-up, inaccurate patient information, difficulty locating my account, and the failure to meaningfully address medication I had already paid for. I cannot independently determine whether my medication was improperly stored, shipped too warm, or incorrectly formulated. Those were possibilities communicated to me by the pharmacy. What I can say is that I raised the concern, was promised a follow-up from management, and never received that call. For me, the biggest issue isn't simply that the medication didn't work. It's how the situation was handled afterward. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about using this pharmacy and would encourage patients to ask detailed questions about quality control, storage and shipping procedures, and what happens if there is a concern with a compounded medication.

The…read moresite provided me with a coupon, indicating that the website and the pharmacy have an agreement- the website sends customers to the pharmacy and the pharmacy honors their coupons. It's called a scam when you show up and the pharmacy says they don't honor the coupon. I understand the health care/coupon system in the U.S. is ridiculous. But, they should sever the agreement with the website, then stop honoring the agreement. Anyway, the website said the prescription would be $20 with coupon, the pharmacy charged the full $420. I'm an electrician, so I was dressed like a construction worker. The woman who owned the business looked at me like I was nothing- totally gross behavior. I was perfectly polite to her. Amazing being looked at like dirt by someone who is scamming you. America in a nutshell. Definitely go elsewhere!!
