I went to CVS to buy some things, someone offered the CVS CarePass which sounded like a good deal. Was billed for three months, which was the only thing done correctly by CVS regarding CarePass. When I tried to use my CarePass, the clerks cannot not find my account. At this point I am irritated, and I call to find out why I don't have an account, despite being charged every month for the service. I call CVS, which of course I am on hold for 15 minutes with no hold time music, I wonder if I am still connected. I call back and the rep can't find my account of course and I get another 10 minutes of hold time, this time with music. When they come back, they ask for the Debit Card being charged, find the account and tell me that the account is in the name of my ex-wife with her phone number! I tell them to cancel my account and refund the money I paid them. I am told about all the benefits I will lose by cancelling, I reply I'm not getting benefits now so I'm not losing anything by cancelling. They say my refund is subject to approval and will take 7-10 days to process. They seem to be good at processing payments, not providing benefits and not processing refunds. Lots of parking! Staff are very friendly including the pharmacy staff! CVS surprisingly carries one of my new, favorite shampoo/conditioners! I would like to add that they might be short on staff, sometimes when I need help its very hard to find someone to help, unless I travel up to a cash register where they are. Absolutely the worst pharmacy I've had the displeasure of dealing with. Any time of day you go, there's a 90% chance of encountering a staggeringly long and very slow moving line to pick up scripts. The people working behind the counter move with absolutely 0 sense of urgency, and usually if you go in say... 2 hours past the promised time for said prescription to be ready, you'll discover it hasn't even been started yet, and they need 15 minutes (which is an absurd amount of time to put 30 pills into a bottle, it's not rocket science). Issues like this almost always point to poor leadership. There are better pharmacies, even better CVS locations not too far away from here. My advice - avoid this place like the plague. read more

I had a on line order at this CVS they said it would be ready the next day, the order appeared on my CVS account and the next thing it was gone but they charged my bank account. I went to the CVS and explained what happened and they said they could not help me they said I need to call CVS.com so I did what a nightmare, finally they sent me a email confirming the order went through, the lady at CVS.com said show them the email inside the store and they will take care of me, so I did they refused, needless to say I was upset and I just wanted my money back at that point and that was a big hassle also. The people at cvs.com aren't much help to the customers as the people inside the Sylmar store are definitely no help to the customers when it comes to taking care of online order problems, they should assist the customer in taking care of problems that occur online it's their store. Basically when I went into the CVS store, they just left me standing there saying that's my problem. Also the lady at CVS .com said there was a hold on my bank account I called my bank and they informed me that was not true, they ended up refunding my money to my account at least. Stay from this CVS if you can. First let me start with the pharmacy. There is always a long line. I dropped off my prescription at 4 and they said an hour and a half. I come back at 630 and they said still not ready so I'll take the time to write them a bad review. There seems to be about 5 or six other people waiting for prescriptions. Get it together. The time before I came and one of the girls in the pharmacy was texting while ringing me up. Are you serious?! Your message can't wait. Very rude and unprofessional. My other bad experience comes from the photo department. I understand they don't develop there and send out film. But when I drop off a roll that has 36 photos I expect 36 photos I don't care if they are blacked out or exposed I still want them. Think it's cheap of them. I have been coming to CVS Pharmacy for the last 5 years and have had a great experience each time. I have been meaning to leave a good YELP review for a long time. Anytime my medications are ready I get a text notifying me to let me know they are ready. If you didn't know about this feature, I highly recommend you sign up. It really saves time and makes for a better experience. Every time I walk into the store, I am greeted by the tellers. The pharmacy staff are always attentive and acknowledges each person that is next line that they'll be right with them. I am always presented with friendly faces. Today was exceptional service and they got my new prescription filled in less than 10 minutes. Although it may appear hectic, I have had nothing but quality attention and service. I've been coming here to coupon for 2yrs. I have never ever had a problem until today. I was doing the cash card promotion and I did everything by the book! Didn't have any paper coupons just digitals from the cvs app. Everything was fine but my cash card didn't print. I asked to speak with the manager because everything I got totaled over $30 everything in the store was tagged. Her name is Maria Flores. Maria made no effort to help me all she did was tell me She couldn't do anything about it for me to call corporate. She could have printed a cvs extra buck for me but instead she belittled me, I have never felt so harassed and humiliated in my life. People like her shouldn't be managers. Walked in and Walked right back out!!! I went to Big Lots next door to buy bath towels for my new home. Then went to get a drink from next door. They make you wait even when they are all just sitting there doing nothing! It is beyond RIDICULOUS! How these people still have jobs is amazing to me! CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Sylmar, California

My son had got oral surgery yesterday, and really needed his pain meds, and antibiotics. I came to this pharmacy because it was the closest place. Once I handed the woman at the drop off window the insurance card she looked at it as if I just gave her a playing card because it wasn't formatted like a traditional insurance card. The customer service I received was worth 0 stars, but of course that's not an available option. I was told I needed to track down a list of information before she could process the Rx. I pointed out that the information needed was on the card but she insisted that she needed more. Due to the situation I did not have the time to do her job & took the prescription to Costco. They took care of everything within 20 mins. CVS needs to do a refresher course on customer service for the pharmacy employees. read more

How to survive CVS Pharmacy: 1: Be prepared for rejection. Out of the handful of times I've been there, they've had problems with filling my prescription twice. TWICE! There was a coverage issue and doctor's pad written issue of some sort which were both resolved on the other end, but not to the satisfaction of CVS. In front of me a lady was denied a refill because they simply only carried a small amount and they were all taken. What? 2: Play eye spy while in line. Pick ups are always long, the line into the aisles. Best to have fun. 3. Have lunch while you wait! From drop off to pick up, you are guaranteed to wait at least an hour. There's a Popeyes near by, but not much else. 4. Count your meds! They gave me three out of four without explaination and after I asked she claimed to know nothing about it and directed me to the drop off line. 5. The best advice yet: Just don't go at all. Even Rite Aid, the same type of chain, will have better customer service and timeliness. I prefer small pharmacies that specialize in their job, but you can still pull off the big chains with better results than this crap shoot. read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy ever. They constantly lose scripts and it takes forever to fill it. They will text you that your meds are ready after you've already been in to pick them up. The pharmacy techs think they are superior to everyone that comes in, but they're worthless. I'm surprised they can even read. Do not print pictures at CVS. I repeat DO NOT print your pictures here. I don't know if it's just this CVS but the quality in which they're printed is really bad. The pictures are fuzzy. I told an employee and they told me "it was probably with the type of camera you took them with?" I showed her the picture from my phone and she was like oh it is clear. I had tooth implant surgery yesterday and mistakenly told the dental crew to give my antibiotic and mouthwash prescription to CVS when I should have told them Rite Aid. Later, when I realized my mistake I told myself, "Here we go again." As before, there were probably six or more people in the back filling prescriptions and one very old, very slow person at the pick-up counter. After standing in line for 15 minutes, she told me that they hadn't yet filled the prescription...I would have to first pay for it at another counter, then come back and wait for them to fill it. This was more than 24 hours after my dental work...they should have had it ready to go. This is pretty much the same as the last time I was in there. It appears that every employee is a technician and there is no management oversight...nothing to assure the customer receives a decent experience. I phoned the dental office and had them switch the prescription to Rite Aid, who handled the deal flawlessly. As to why I am giving them two stars, I can only guess that I am in a much better mood as I write this. read more

OMG!! I don't normally give reviews but Jasmine was by far the best customer service personnel here!! Our first encounter with Jasmine she didn't even know we would be harder to deal with and was just so friendly from the moment we walked in. It was her attitude that got me to just proceed with our check out and not cancel any of it. Unfortunately we had some technical issues and some discounts weren't applied when I reviewed my receipt. So we went back and once again Jasmine helped us get everything squared away this time with the help of her supervisor Jennifer which I have never seen so dedicated to her job. She didn't even think twice to help us. She wasn't to busy to keep going with her job. She stayed and ensured everything went well with our transaction. Both lady's were a pleasure to be around. Once again unfortunately for Jennifer this time we went back to spend all our extra bucks and once again encountered technical issues. Poor Gabriel helped with the transaction but Jennifer once again stopped what she was doing to personally run the transaction herself!!! I was truly impressed by Jasmine and Jennifer going above and beyond helping us even if we were more difficult than necessary... I am not sure if it's because of the area (Sylmar) but this particular CVS needs to do more to train their employees, including management. I bought a blood pressure meter recently that was not safe to use. It kept showing erroneous blood pressure reading after comparing it to other borrowed bp meters. The measurements were in the highs 150's/110's while other 3 bp meters would give readings between 120-129/ 77-83 all within 6 minutes. When I tried to return they used an excuse "no returns due to Coronavirus outbreak". I called their supervisor Esmeralda and for ~10 min tried explaining that ITEM IS DAMAGED, it shows incorrect, dangerous readings, and therefore it does not need to return back on the shelf. But it would all come on deaf ears, as common sense was nowhere to be found. I called another CVS and they told me yes if it's damaged then bring it back (as I didn't know it could be returned to any other CVS at the time). When I told Esmeralda, she said no they shouldn't do that, we don't accept. I asked for her store manager and when the next day I called their store manager, Sheila, I thought I would end up getting arrested bc I was ready to come to the store and go off at this person who was very rude and did not even let me finish talking, just hung up the phone on me. I tried to explain to her the same thing, that I am stuck with a damaged product that I cannot return, and covid-19 should not be an excuse (as other stores like Walmart have no bs excuse like that). I even tried to explain her that she can research internet, CDC, WHO, other sources, where it talks on how long this virus survives on surfaces which is 2-3 DAYS on plastic/metal!!! And even if (I continued explaining it to Sheila) it survived longer IT SHOULD NOT go on the shelf either way. Customers everyday touch items and put them back on shelves. SAME THING!! or even worse! But she could not comprehend those basic examples I was giving her. I explained her that I can't just throw away $65 on something I can't use at this difficult time. She was simply being rude and said, "our conversation is done I told you already! You're not getting any refund" and simply hung up. I even complained to 1-800 customer service about her, but never got back any call in regards to my situation with her/CVS. I finally managed to return it to another store the next day and get my money back. But they should know it's never a good idea to talk to your customers like that, I'm just glad it ended up good because I was ready to confront them at the store, and it would've ended up bad for both of us. This pharmacy is horrible! I was told by a pharmacy manager that they've tried to transfer my medication from a walgreens to cvs. Since walgreens wait time is too long it will be a delay or i will have to call to get my medication transferred. In calling walgreens im told there is a law that a patient cannot transfer/request their own medication. If this is known then why is the manager even offering this as an option for a resolution! Absolutely ridiculous! Im in my drs office strapped to a baby monitor NTS exam and CVS is causing undue stress! Worst customer service ever! I cannot believe they treat their customers like this. Wow! This review is for the actual store in particular the supervisor by the name of Jennifer. Let me start by saying I have been going to this CVS for the past 25 years. At that time it was Savon's. The employees have changed over the years but there are still a few that remain. Today when I walked in the store I was happy to see Jennifer because I have been looking for her for months now. One day in March I was on my way to a party and of course being a last minute person I ran into CVS to purchase a card and a gift card. When I get to the register I realize I forgot my cash at home so I wrote a check and used my $5 extra bucks. Jennifer the supervisor was NOT aware of the policy that I couldn't write a check for a gift card so she cancelled the transaction and raced home to get cash. When I returned Jennifer was nowhere to be found. I waited a few minutes but she never returned so I bought the card and told the cashier I would be back for my $5 extra bucks. I returned 2 days later and she wasn't there. I came the following week and no Jennifer. I continued to ask for her but she was never there until today. So I explained my story and she acted as if she didn't remember a thing. She was snobby with a matter-of-fact attitude . I told her with every detail but she wouldn't return my $5. She said she had to look into it. I asked her would she have an overage when that happened. She said , NO with a smirk. I can't believe that she didn't remember this transaction. BTW she knows me since I've been shopping there for over 25 years. Anyway I asked if she could look up transaction using my CVS card since to extra bucks are linked to your card. She again refused and didn't even want my card number so she could look into it. Then I said the wrong thing..... I was so upset with her attitude. I whispered, " I liked you better when you were fat. You were much nicer then!" She flipped out, called me a bitch and said no one will ever help me in this store! She would contact corporate so I can no longer shop there! All at the top range of her voice. I then repeated my statement so all could here and told her to F off, hahahaha. About 10 years ago Jennifer had a bypass and dropped weight fast but the side effect was she became this mean, angry and HUNGRY witch. read more
