Once you're in the store, this is a great location. Mainly because I think most people don't know this location is here. I've never seen it busy which is fantastic. Especially because I usually come here to just quickly pick up over the counter medicine. I always know that I am not going to have to spend a long time waiting in checkout. Or roaming the aisles for that matter as things are laid out in a very well thought out and labeled way. My main issue with this location is the parking lot. While it seems like it has a huge lot outside, it's in desperate need of upkeep. Mainling the spot markings. Things are so faded that there's basically no markings at all. Terrible pharmacy experience. Will never use this pharmacy again. I transferred a prescription yesterday morning and received an email confirmation from Walgreens Pharmacy stating that my order will be ready for pick up today at 10:00am, at this specific location. When I called the pharmacy this afternoon just to confirm that it's ready for pick up, I was told that they have no order on file. I just wasted a day of waiting for my meds, to only find out that nothing was actually done and nobody knows why confirmation email was sent to me for pick up. Walgreens obviously cannot be trusted, so if you want to receive your meds in a timely fashion, id suggest to go to a different pharmacy. read more

I stopped by this Walgreens tonight with my wife to pick up her photo. We pick this Walgreens location because it was on our way to Northridge mall. I been to the plaza this store is in before but never went inside this Walgreens until tonight. I had an issue here last year when I was looking to get a booster shot but they just never answer my call. This time around I found parking easily near the front but there are many parking spots here. When we walked inside the store, they did not look busy at all. We walked to the photo department area and there was actually someone there. At another Walgreens location I would have to press on the assistance button because there always no one there. But the pickup process was easy, I give them the name of the order and what it was. He then handed it to us and give us our receipt. My neighborhood Walgreens. Had to run out and get some meds in the middle of the night. Luckily, open till 10pm. I often get the Walgreens version of the brand names meds and the offer much more budget friendly option. For example the antacid relief I am looking for is $24 brand name for 50 tabs and $6.99 Walgreens version for 20 tabs. Man, I have been coming to this Walgreens location for years and years and years. My mom and pop stay in Granada Hills. I am only here visiting all the time on the holidays. The only problem I have here sometimes Is finding help when you need help. One minute, there could be more employees working here, and next time, they are short staffed. Store is in a huge parking lot off of Balboa and Chatsworth. You can purchase liquor and junk food. But you wont find other hard liquors here like you would at CVS. I asked the old lady at the counter, her name is Gina, what the pin was for the restroom. She turned to look at me and said "we don't..." I think she was going to tell me that there was no restroom but I had already walked over and saw I needed a code to enter, hence my question, so instead she said "actually our restroom is out of order" and smiled. Her attitude seemed to suggest otherwise so I went to ask someone else in case. There was a girl stocking and I asked her, she was really nice and said she could open it for me! I thanked her but didn't catch her name! She had her hair in a ponytail and she wears glasses. I walked into the restroom and surprise, surprise none of the toilets in the stalls were out of order. I don't understand why that rude old lady did not want to help and lied to a customer about the bathroom not working. What is the point of having a public restroom if one of the employees refuses customer entry and lies about it being closed. Please have a talk with Gina on customer service she needs a reminder. Am new to the Chime app banking, and their app states they are partnered with Walgreens in order to credit your Chime card simply by taking cash and your card to the cashier. I figured I'd give the process a try, since this was new to me. The process was super simple, but the customer service was simply horrible. I will go again to deposit cash in this manner, as I really like the process but the older lady working cashier hopefully won't be there. I've been coming to this pharmacy since I moved to Granada Hills 5 years ago. At first it was OK, but its been going downhill for a while now. There ALWAYS problems with sale items either not scanning at the sales price at the register, or being out of sale items the day a sale starts. The pharmacy is the WORST. They have a bad attitude, are very SLOW, and just don't care about customer service anymore. The latest and last straw for me was on Sunday I pulled into the drive-through to pick up a prescription that the site notified me was ready. It was 3 pm and there was one car ahead of me. It took 20 minutes for that car to be serviced, and then they finally got their prescription and moved on. I pulled up, and no one came to the widnwo for 5 minutes. I pushed the buzzer for service and was told that their were customers ahead of me (???) and that they would be with me asap. I waited 12 more minutes and no one ever came to the drive-up window, so I left in frustration. I spend at least $2000.00 a year at Walgreens, but I've had enough. We were forced to Walgreens when our little mom and pop pharmacy closed suddenly. Getting our first refills was painful. The first person we spoke to in the pharmacy had no idea what we were talking about (even though there's a giant sign at the store welcoming customers of former pharmacy by name!) Now we're trying to refill other prescriptions that have since run out for the first time with them. I just spent 17 minutes on hold and was disconnected. In addition to unwanted getting calls and texts since the change over, this has been an unpleasant experience. The pharmacy techs in person were nice enough, but the experience has been the worst. We'll be looking for a new smaller pharmacy. read more

The really need to train or re-train thier staff on their pricing matching policy when matching a price to thier OWN website/app. I made a complaint because of this issue. The same store manager that told me no in store called me and told me yes we can. I got in there again today and of course the lady gives me a hard time. The store is fine, cashiers are nice. This review is for the pharmacy. I needed travel vaccinations and checked the prices at the specialized travel vaccine clinics. The prices were ridiculous including UCLA, and the most reasonable one was down at the Long Beach Health & Human Services Department, but it was too far & no appointments available. I called here to make sure they had what I needed, and they were the cheapest. They were kind enough to check & keep the vaccines on hold. I came in the evening, no appt needed. Then they went the extra mile to see if my insurance covered it; it covered a couple, and gave me 50% off on one. Took about a half hour as they had to fill prescriptions for other people in between. The pharmacist administering the shot was nice & it wasn't painful. Keep in mind that the pharmacist can't tell you which vaccinations you'll need. I went on the Center for Disease Control and looked up the country I was going to & followed their guidelines. If you're still unsure, then speak to your doctor. You can also get school vaccinations here too. They do not have the yellow fever vaccine- that one is harder to obtain. Also, if you're a college student, you may be able to obtain vaccines at your school clinic. read more

This comment is intended for the pharmacy. I placed a very important order for a prescription intended for a respiratory patient and they said they needed to order it. That's fine. I show up after the 3 days they asked me to wait to get it in. When I arrived at the counter the woman explained that they did not carry this dosage amount in their store. This is ridiculous. I could have gone to a different pharmacy to get this prescription filled or compounded. No one called to inform me and there was not any explanation or apology from the techs/pharmacist.
