I have been having my prescriptions filled here for over ten years. Never a problem until last 60…read moredays. Three times, send in refill request by phone, told it will be ready after 12;00 on a particular day. Travel to pick up usually late in the day -- not ready. Today, did not even have the refill request. This is unacceptable. Either fix your call in system or look at your operation (excuse: item didn't come in or haven't unpacked the order yet). Time to look for a new pharmacy who can refill in a timely manner and commit to have it ready when they say. Hey Giant Eagle -- here's a thought, if you can't keep up with refill requests, hire more people.

Let me tell you all the truth about this giant eagle location. I have a friend that's in his…read morefifties that has severe back pain but he still has to work. He worked there for 3 years in pain when they were busy he worked all the hours they gave him. When they were slow they put him down to one day but he stayed loyal because he liked working there. Then his supervisor on third shift stocking quit. They brought in another supervisor and then all the people started to quit. I told him time was up he needed to get out of there but he loved working there and he loved working that shift. He went in one night she laid into him giving him time tables. He told her it would be hard to do it and that he had a medical emergency that he needed to leave. He went back the next night he apologized and she told him he was suspended. She also said she didn't care about his illness So it went to corporate office they put him off for over a month. Then they told him he was fired. Then they told him he was rehired but to keep his job he had to sign a paper stating it was all his fault and that he would not have any claims against that company. So this is how this giant eagle on North Hamilton road takes care of their long time employees they dump on them. and they take a word from a woman who had only been there a week and half and she had already ran off most of the crew. So if y'all think this is a nice family place to shop at it's not. He has a handicap back and this is where they treated him. So he worked many nights in severe pain but he loved the job and he needed the job. They wanted him to sign that paper saying he released them for many claims or else. So everybody think twice before you shop at this giant eagle they are not good to their employees.

As we walked up the stairs, we exchanged greetings with another shopper (a white female). When we reached the top of the stairs, we turned left towards the bar/liquor store. A white woman who worked there was sitting at the bar reading a newspaper. She looked up over her glasses and, in a very abrupt and accusatory tone, said, "CAN I HELP YOU?" My husband instantly turned around and walked away in disappointment. I responded, "Hello, we're just looking," and followed him. While in the adjacent wine section, I told my husband, "She was kind of rude." He replied, "That's exactly why I walked away. We'll get some wine and pay downstairs." Now, stay with me for a moment. The area was well-lit, and there was a glass divider separating the two rooms. While I was considering my options for a red blend near the back wall my husband looked at the white wines. In a more welcoming tone, the same woman who had been sitting at the bar addressed another shopper (a white male) in a very welcoming and charismatic voice, saying, "Hi, how are you? What can I help you with?" as she walked over to him with a smile. I instantly recognized the difference in her demeanor. Even my husband noted, "She didn't talk to us like that." We then proceeded downstairs to the customer service desk. My husband felt I shouldn't share my concerns because this behavior happens daily, and he believed nothing would change. However, I decided to speak with the manager, Sabrina, who kindly listened to my experience. Sabrina responded by saying "Well, I've never had anyone else complain about her as an associate and repeated it to me twice before saying, but I'll look at it." That was not the response I was hoping for; an apology would have been welcomed. However, I honestly do not know what I expected. I do not want the associate to lose her job or anything crazy, but her attitude toward us was crazy and offensive. Should she be educated? Yes, absolutely. Had the roles been reversed, I would have likely been fired, handcuffed by an all-white group of Bexley Police officers, and charged with assault and misconduct of some magnitude. Or I could have reacted in the same way as the associate, inappropriate, disrespectful, and racist, and I still would have been arrested in the same manner mentioned above. I'm so sick and tired of the racism and hostility. My husband and I are educated, working-class humans who respect others and deserve to be treated equally, just like every other customer, no matter what we look like or how we identify. We may be only two of many shoppers, but I will not be returning to the store at all. I am disappointed. Hatred, blatant racism, and unconscious bias that equates to racism are all wrong.
