I just had the best experience today at this cvs. I went in to buy sunscreen and decided to check out some BB cream (I'm not a make up person so this stuff confuses me!) I was comparing creams and a woman asked me if I needed help/a basked and I said I was ok and made a joke about not needing the basket because if by the whole place. We chatted for a moment and she then ran to the back and retrieved a little goodie bag of samples for me! We then continued to chat about my skin and different products, she was so knowledgeable and gave me a few more samples per the items we were chatting about- they were higher end and expensive and she wanted me to try before I committed to buying. She was never once pushy and I never felt pressured into buying something. She was so sweet and knowledgeable! She even gave me a hot tip about when a certain brand might go on sale! Her name is Sophia and I would STRONGLY suggest giving her a visit in the beauty section. I've never had such a wonderful experience like this in a drug store and it was just so amazing. I told her I could wait to go back to visit her again. She clearly really enjoys what she does and believes in the products the store is selling, and cares about the people coming in there. On top of that I've had other wonderful experiences in there with the pharmacy. I take a daily prescription medicine and a few months ago I was having an issue with my insurance but needed my script refilled. I went to the pharmacy hoping I could maybe just buy a portion of the prescription out of pocket- assuming it would be crazy expensive. After I explained my situation to the pharmacist she was so helpful and understanding and found a way for me to afford the medicine I needed and even found a discount code to make it even more affordable. I was so grateful for her help! Keep it up everyone! read more

This location, and possibly CVS as a whole, has instituted a policy that prevents you from directly calling the pharmacy. Instead, when you select the pharmacy option, a phone bot takes over. It prevents a person from getting a quick answer to a question like whether a medication that was out of stock has come in. It is already frustrating and stressful to have an illness. This makes it infinitely times worse. A person shouldn't have to go through a bunch of phone prompts to get an answer to a simple question. When I called the front of the store I was told I'd have to come in to speak with a pharmacist. While I have the ability to do so, coming to the pharmacy to get a simple question answered takes five times as long as speaking with a person on the phone. And this is a ridiculous policy given the fact that many people work outside of their homes. And what about people who are elderly or disabled? CVS is going to make them come into the store and wait in line just to get a simple question answered. I've been told to use the app. OK, but again, what about people who are elderly or disabled? This is just one more instance demonstrating that healthcare is this county is rapidly becoming worse. That is what happens when there is a lack of competition. read more

The place is way understaffed! 10 people in front of me inline at 330 in weekday afternoon

This CVS is straight outta the 90's. Shelves are often not stocked, items misplaced, and overall the support from the staff is just meh. No one working there appears to be happy. They have a fancy new barcode system to pickup meds, but they make you wait in line anyway. What's the point? And they still print a mile of receipts even with a digital preference. We recently had photos printed here and there were steaks on the top. They complained about the reprint and said our photos must be bad. Overall, just a miserable experience and one I would do without if it weren't for the location. 1 star for the location. read more

Our prescription refills were transferred into CVS when Rite-Aid closed; it has been all downhill from there. It's impossible to get a real person on the phone, and when you leave a message, they cut you off. When they call back they aren't cooperative. Understand me, they get some props for working under stress of double the customers, and they've worked through it, but there's no excuse for fulfilling with the wrong, but similarly named product. Not once, but twice! The first time they apologized profusely and promised never again. Today I opened the package and saw the same mistake. No apology, just bring it in and we'll fix it. They did come up with the right product eventually, but that lack of attention to getting it right the first time is troublesome. Someone could get badly injured, or worse, and no one seems to care. Check what's in the bag before you leave the store, or you might have a big surprise. read more

Right off the main road with plenty of parking, this CVS is large and has a lot of what you expect and need. I came with my 86 year old dad to pick up some meds. The counter person was very nice but the pharmacist with fantastic. She helped us change his auto refill to one closer to his new residence and recalled we spoke in the morning. All with a smile. The staff is friendly. The problem is the pharmacy is literally never open any time I go. The online hours are false, the pharmacy closes for lunch, and they seem to close randomly outside of 'scheduled time' (which is a masking taped sign outside the building. Pharmacist themselves seems good. Would have rated higher If I could ever get my scripts. Ended up switching to the Havertown CVS which has been infinitely easier despite being further from me. read more

The head pharmacist guy is the rudest person ever and he has been here since I came in 2017 to live just nearby. I actually drive all the way to the Ardmore location where I've been using before when I visited here as this one right near my home is just terrible. The help is nice but the pharmacy is a nightmare. They are often out of other drugs, shelves empty. They need to get someone in that important mainline location that has a nice personality and is willing to speak to customers in a professional and kind manner. He is the worst. It's a shame, it's a great location and should be a great store. read more

CVS at 1109 West Chester Pike in Havertown is the best! Amanda, Jess and all the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable. One of the pharmacy staff even paid for my prescription one day when their check machine would not accept the check I was trying to pay with! When I tried to pay her back later, she refused, saying it was no big deal. Well, it was to me! I needed that medicine that day, and without this staff member's kindness, I wouldn't have gotten it. Good afternoon Yelp Family!!!! How is everyone doing? I have visited this location a number of times but I have never reviewed this location. This location is in a very convenient area, right on Lancaster Avenue in Wynnewood. There is a Giant, Wells Fargo Bank and a DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) in the big shopping center. This CVS is located in a shopping center as well. There is a Chinese Restaurant here as well as a UPS. There is a Sunoco gas station across the street. This CVS is well - stocked and it is light and airy. I was looking for my customary peppermint puffs in a container and there were none. I will just visit another location and get them. Derick was the associate that assisted me, when I asked to load my prepaid card. Derick was helpful and polite. I went on my way. I was content. Ok Yelp Family, have a blessed day!!! read more

The people complaining are probably the same ones who believe they are entitled to everything in the entire world. I have watched the Pharmacist be disrespected and kept his cool when I wanted to go off on this customer for him. Some of these people will never be pleased no matter where they go, if so, go back to the pharmacy you used before this one came. Easy Peasy! Everyone there does their best at taking care of the counter and answering the phone with the few respires they have. Patience! Don't take it out on the staff. read more

I was at the CVS Pharmacy in Wynnewood, PA today to pick up the one medicine that I need that only they have that doesn't upset my stomach. As always, I could hear the phone ringing continuously at the pharmacy with up to seven or eight calls waiting to be answered. I had to use the bathroom and was upset with how DIRTY IT WAS, LOTS OF OVERFLOWING TRASH AND THE SOAP DISPENSER WAS NOT WORKING. I used the last of a small pump that was on the sink. I told the man who checked me out. There was only one other employee that i saw on the floor while I was there. This store is in a very affluent area and THE BATHROOM should have been AS CLEAN AS THE RUG THAT RAN THROUGH THE ENTIRE STORE!!! For up to 20 years ago, I used CVS exclusively. Now, my daughter who has to use CVS because of her medical plan waited an hour and still never got to talk to anyone there at the pharmacy. She then dialed again and went another hour with nobody talking to her. Her complaint is that she has signed up ONLINE NOT TO HAVE HER PRESCRIPTIONS AUTOMATICALLY REFILLED and getting phone calls for over a week telling her how many days before the prescription will be returned to the shelf!! She had also told them in person. She was calling to tell them NOT TO REFILL A PRESCRIPTION THAT ONLINE SAID WAS ABOUT TO BE REFILLED. After waiting in line at the pharmacy, she told them about not be able to get through and was there a different phone number. He told her that that was the phone number and that the phones were working. My wife and I use Rite Aid and have for over twenty years. We can always reach someone to talk to in the pharmacy, and I get 20% off of all store merchandise. In addition, the ORIGINAL PRICES ARE CHEAPER AT RITE AID THAN CVS! read more

Third trip to this pharmacy to get a maintenance drug prescription filled. Drop off, pickup 2days later and incorrectly entered and not showing up in my script history. Return next day and improperly billed at higher rate than the last 6 refills. Now waiting 10 minutes to get the bill adjusted to the proper amount. Will be transferring the prescription to Walmart. read more

I have received (and seen with others) shockingly rude customer service in this particular pharmacy, even as I have patiently waited to be called up for my prescription, including once when I waited 30 minutes for a prescription I'd been told was ready for pick-up when I called ahead. They are also extremely aggressive in calling my doctor's office for refills when none were needed or requested by me. Additionally it is a dreary and unpleasant store. Tepper Pharmacy is right across the parking lot and Rite Aid less than a mile away. I will not be returning to CVS. read more

Absolutely horrible treatment! Go to ANY other pharmacy if you want proper treatment and good customer service. They do not care about their customers. The pharmacist was very rude and dismissive of my distress. He was supposed place an order for a medication which is critical to have on hand for my son who has epilepsy. He said that it was on order and would be there the next day. I called the next day and they not only did not order it but said the prescription was not even on file for him. I literally spoke to him and the pharmacy technician who looked it up the previous day. They reassured me it was on order. Magically overnight they can't find the prescription and had no recollection of even speaking to me. Now, I am in a panic trying to locate a nearby pharmacy who has it in stock and can fill it quickly. I wish I had looked at the other reviews before having our prescription filled there. It looks as if it many others have had similar experiences. This is only the second review I have ever written because I need to alert the community of my experience. read more

My insurance made me move my prescriptions to CVS. I used Kroger Pharmacy for over 20 years without any problems. So I moved all of my prescriptions to CVS and asked that they be automatically be refilled. On 5 different occasions I was down to my last couple of pills and called to inquire and was told that my prescription was at a different store. I asked for them to be moved to my primary location, only for it to happen again. Today I noticed that I was down to my last several pills and didn't get notification. I called the store and the automated system hung up me twice before I could speak to someone. On the third call i was talking to the person and their system hung on me again. I waited hoping they would call me back and they didn't. On my fourth call after inquiring i was told that they were out of the medicine, so I asked what am I to do. I was told that I could call several other stores to see if they had it in inventory. Frustrated I asked are you telling me to call around, then he said he could try for me after the challenge. So he told me that I could call them and they could transfer my pickup at the other store for this refill. I asked would they transfer it back he said no that it was my responsibility to call them to have it transferred back to their store. This so frustating. So by all means if you are looking for a pharmacy do NOT use them, they make you work to keep up with everything and you have to call them. I wish I could go back to using Krogers. Try to call the pharmacy and wait endlessly for the one guy to pick up the phone (if he ever bothers to) while the dramatic music plays. Currently on my 20th minute on hold. If they're not going to have more than one employee in the department at 3 pm on a weekday and are going to continue to put their customers through this, they are not going to have many customers for long. read more

The male Pharmacist I spoke with on the phone today was BEYOND rude, short and unhelpful with an issue I was having pertaining to my insurance info. Supposedly he has been "doing this for 14 years" and he "knows how to do his job" but he couldn't help me or point me in any direction. I'll use the other CVS for now on. read more
