I'm normally never one to write a review concerning bad guest service but what I experienced at this location at 9:47am at this location was horrible. Associate Veronica was abrupt and needs more training in guest service. I approached her register to check out and she seemed to not be having a good day or she wasn't wanting to be bothered. The service I received was more like the please hurry up so I can get back to what I was originally doing. When she asked if I needed a receipt I politely said no and I was about to press the renew my membership for 5 dollars that was prompted on the screen when she became visibly agitated and and said press the red button twice. This was a missed opportunity to gain back a member. Moving forward can proper training be given to team members and for those who aren't guest friendly please not be put on a register. read more

I don't think it's possible for CVS to improve at this point. They don't have any compassion for their patients or the good sense to attempt to improve the experience, so good luck if you choose to fill your prescriptions here. Discovered recently that they've replaced their phone system with a virtual assistant. There is no way in the phone loop to reach an actual human being. Again, good luck leaving a message because I've yet to get a call back from any of my recent medication questions over the past few weeks. Take your money and prescription pretty much anywhere else and you'll have a better experience. I usually only go here for my prescriptions and try to avoid going inside. I usually try for Drive Thru but sometimes they close it, I guess due to staffing. One thing i really dislike is they will let people just sit in the drive thru. The bad thing is they will let people sit and hold up a line for 15 to 20 minutes while they fill their prescription instead of having them move out of line until it's ready. This makes no sense, to keep people waiting who already have their prescriptions ready. I do think they could use more staff. I try to go before rush hour to avoid waiting. It is sometimes hard to hear on their speaker outside and today i had to yell and repeat myself. It's challenging with all of the background noise from the busy plaza. The few times i have had to go inside there is usually a short line, but not as bad, as they manage it better. Three parking is pretty good, and there is a burger king, starbucks, Subway and Jimbos in the plaza. read more

I was sent to another window to process my insurance, but Ahn just tried to get me to say yes to some vaccine. I told her that I go through my doctor, but she kept on trying to upsell a vaccine. I get sent to another window and Ahn never processed my insurance, so I had to go back. Called in an RX 1/2 on phone and was told it would be ready by 12p that day. Went in on 1/3 and was told that they had nothing for me. No RX, no explanation - like it never happened. I was directed to the consultation window and had it looked up.... No record of the request I called in and the clerk/tech (long story short) got snippy and curt and just kept saying she would get it filled while I kept trying to tell her that the system was obviously broken and should be taken as my comment and feedback. She ignored me, treating me like an irate irrational senior, which I was/am not. I just did not like having my feedback ignored and effectively "eye-rolled". Nope. No more CVS pharmacy again. I found a nice smaller, non-corporate pharmacy in Escondido to use going forward. CVS doesn't want to hear about their broken processes. Update: Went in to store to get some cough syrup off the shelf, needed the restroom ... waited outside the men's room for 1-2 minutes, then asked the pharmacist if they locked the restrooms. He said yes - they keep the key up at the front. Nope. So 1. Maybe a sign on the door saying that? and 2. If the place is too sketchy to leave the restrooms available to customers, then just forget it. I'll be trying the Walgreens across the street, or Vons from now on. This CVS is completely dead to me. Weirdly, although there is maybe a wait of 1 person deep at the cashier it tends to take forever to check out of here. So far they screwed up every prescription - today they lost mine after notifying me 12 days after I requested a refill that it that it was finally ready. Still looking and I can't transfer the Rx because they already billed insurance. The pharmacist told my wife hers was unavailable and recommended what her doc confirmed was a dangerous alternative. Just received my flu and COVID vaccines from Nina, one of the pharmacists. She was fantastic. Very skilled at giving vaccines with minimal fuss and discomfort. I recommend her for all vaccine needs. And I am picky - I'm an ER nurse and was a little skeptical about having a pharmacist give me an injection. I've only ever had other nurses give me vaccines, but Nina was great! read more

Slow and uncaring service and the registers including self check out don't seem to give cash back. Ended up buying a couple things I didn't want since it ran as credit both times. First time was Google Pay at the self checkout and it will usually ask if it's a debit card and if I want cash back, but it just ran as credit. So I had someone ring me up and put my debit card in the machine and it ran as credit again despite the cashier saying it would ask me if I wanted cash back. I got here early to get my flu vaccine. There were so many appointments open yesterday. I waited 10min to be acknowledged by the pharmacy tech by the window. When I finally got her eye contact she asked when my appointment was and told me to go wait in chairs and check in online. I did, but checkin doesn't work if you're too early. It would have been good customer service to let me know, better to check me in. And there are 5 people ahead of me. In 20 minutes only 1 person has been seen. I'm 9 months pregnant and the last place I want to be is sitting next to unmasked folks JUST getting their covid vaccine. Update: now my appointment time has passed. This CVS sucks. They won't accept a prescription because it has two different ink colors written on it. What? They're suspicious you "doctored" the prescription? So ridiculous. They'll inconvenience you too by telling you to go get a new prescription from your doctor even though you're in urgent need of your meds. Like that's going to be easy to acquire. They are the only CVS location I know of that does this. Pharmacy staff in other locations are helpful and accomodating. Certainly not this one. (Sorry another one-star location.) :( read more

I would give ZERO stars if that was an option. This is by far and away the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I pick up medication every month and every single month, no exaggeration, I have had problems with picking it up. Ridiculous questions like, "who are you? you're not in our system (after 1 year!)." "it looks like you have already picked it up." Very rude staff and a complete lack of organization, which is scary considering they are handling medications for a large population of people. I walked in asking for sternos- the 2 employees looked at me like i was speaking a different language. Once i explained to them what they were, they sent me to the candle section. Then i went back and said no they are normally with fire wood and matches and maybe lighters if they have them. Then they sent me on a wild goose chase. Crap service. Stopped by to pick up a redbox video and decided to step in to get some soda. All of their 12 packs of soda were on sale for 3 for $10. I grabbed two root beers and a sprite. When I checked out it discounted the sprite but not the root beer so I went back. The cashier said she'd have to check so she went back. On her way back she stopped to help someone else. When she got back she confirmed they should have been on sale so she was going to rering my order. The other cashier snatched the recipes and said she'd take care of it. She didn't believe the sale so now I'm standing there while she walks back to check. She comes back and holds the sale tag in my face and says it has to be three of the same flavor... I can't see where it says that but whatever. Seems rather odd that it discounted the ONE Sprite that I bought but not the others. Anyway I had her just refund the order. Pros- better than Rite Aid, very close to house and job Cons- mother in law bought some cashews. Found a rubber band just Chillin in the nuts. :/ they tried refunding us on a gift card and I had to put my voice in a aggravating tone due to that being straight GROSS! And it was only like 5.00 bucks save your plastic. It's not our fault your company made a mistake. And we told her we was going to be getting a couple of things so it really didn't matter. That's cool but had to spend money on new charger. Went shopping for car cleaner and I grabbed arm and hammer car wipes and if I didn't look before I bought I would of purchased dried car wipes. And would of needed to do ANOTHER return.
