I have been a loyal customer of theirs for over14 years. In fact had given a raving review a few years ago. But they got a new Pharmacists Jill, who not only lies, but cares very little for clients. After a year and a half working off getting off Oxi that a local n pain doctor kept me on, As of March been on Norco. I pick up every month, except the last 2 I had friends do it as I live in Valley Center. But I was in , and spoke to Jill in June, May etc. No one ever brought up that they would only do through pain mgnt until they put a note on my meds I had picked up for me and couldn't call right away as Mercy v Care is closed Sat - Monday due to holiday. Jill and mercy care had months to warn me to look into a new pain dr. But says "She can't tell everyone all at once" a total cop out . Could've put a note last month, then I would've been ok if they'd given me 2 or 3 months to work it out. Especially since we are moving asap out of state. This is irresponsible and they should be sued for these horrible responses and actions. All they needed to do is give people time to fix or find a solution. Not lie saying you spoke to me when I'd swear on every Bible and over my cats n husband THEY NEVER SAID A WORD ABOUT AN ISSUE AND NOW I HAVE TO FIND A NEW DOCTOR, NEW PHARMACY IN LESS THAN 3 WEEKS. THEY RUINED MY TRUST . DON'T RISK IT THERE. read more

This pharmacy has great delivery service but needs to improve customer service at actual pharmacy. The clerks seem to like to argue with old patients and also they don't believe in customer service. I have complained twice and I have not seen an improvement. I worked in pharmacy for 30 plus years and customer service should be their number one goal. read more

I was very surprised to find so many good reviews for this pharmacy considering that my and my husband's experience was a memorably bad one. The individuals that work here were friendly and at no time were mean, but my poor opinion of this place is based on the absolute lack of sterile regulations that were not followed by this pharmacy. I do not know what organization monitors the cleanliness of pharmacies or what they require, but I am sure they broke code when we visited. It was our first time here. The room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and urine. This should have been our first clue. After getting my husband's prescription, he noticed the inside of the Rx bottle was soiled. Dust layered the inside of the container along with hair strands mixed among the pills. We retuned to pharmacy to point out this discrepancy and return the Rx. The employee's response was astonishingly, "I don't see what the big deal is." "The [dust] is normal." and "The [hair strands] are from the cotton that was in place prior." No. This is not "normal" and even if that was "cotton" it was not a sanitary, sterile bottle. Yes, this is a big deal. Even more surprising than the response to our complaint....they put the pills from dust, "cotton covered" bottle back INTO the restocking container to be distributed to another patient. (insert shocked face). What if we were weird people that don't wash our hands after the restroom and we had touched those pills (all promises this was not the case, but what IF?). There are so many dangerous, unhealthy possibilities that could exist if those pills were returned by either a lazy or ill-intentful person. I share this experience to raise awareness to this pharmacy of their practices with patients. And for others to be cautious when going here to get their medications. .............we went to CVS pharmacy immediately afterwards....what a difference. read more

For the record, everyone here is really nice and I've never had a bad interaction with an employee. I don't work locally and can never make it on-time after work to pick up my routine prescriptions in-person when they're ready, so I loved that they had a free courier service -- but it's proven to be more inconvenient than anything else (the same-day delivery mentioned on their listing here isn't totally accurate.) They're only in my residential area at one time during the day (early morning), so when they fill my prescription mid-morning, I have to wait until the next day to receive my medication. And a few times they've failed to deliver at all, even though I call to confirm for every refill. I've had more dependable service at pharmacies like Walgreens and CVS. Perhaps if you don't need to rely on their courier you may get better assistance. Their inconsistency has made the prescription refill process too frustrating for me to recommend their services. read more

This has become my go to pharmacy. I have been having issues with filling my scripts at other places they don't have it and can't get it for two days. Very frustrating when you need it right away. Thankfully I found Mercy Care they always have what I need and if I need them to they can deliver to my house also. Today went to CVS to get my sons script filled and of course they didn't have it and either did another one by my house so I called Mercy Care and they had it!!! This review has two purposes: 1: to show how ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL this pharmacy is, and 2: to refute the absolutely ridiculous, RACIST slander that another customer posted here. Be prepared, this is going to be a LOOOOONG review! First off, this pharmacy has been a literal GODSEND for my family and friends!!! I have chronic pain issues and I take strong medication regularly, prescribed by an absolutely wonderful, caring, compassionate doctor which I reviewed earlier. Unfortunately, finding an understanding, brave doctor that will treat my condition is only HALF THE BATTLE, as many other chronic pain sufferers know. The other half is finding a compassionate pharmacy that won't treat you like a nasty junkie looking for a fix, not to mention actually honoring the doctors prescribed choices as opposed to playing GOD and refusing to fill them. MERCY CARE PHARMACY has been nothing but wonderful in my journey to find peace!!!! I have been through quite a few pharmacies, so I know what I'm talking about. Those that work there, the pharmacist (his name escapes me), Liz, David, they are all ANGELS. Not once have they ever treated me poorly! Not only do they BEND OVER BACKWARDS to help, they are LIGHTNING FAST at filling my prescriptions, they ALWAYS give me the best prices (I pay out of pocket for my pain meds since insurance won't cover them), they have never tried to gouge me (unlike many other pharmacies have, including the big ones) and every time I go in they ask about my children by name and compliment me on how I look. Every time I go in there I walk away with a smile!!! Not only do I give all my business to them, but I have also brought my best friend in, which she has also converted all her prescriptions there, and EVERY CHANCE I GET I am sending people there whenever I hear about how horribly they were treated elsewhere. MERCY CARE PHARMACY ROCKS!!! Next, I HAVE to address the filth that another customer posted. Lady, you have no business posting your RACIST comments on here! Calling Liz "A GHETTO LATINA" is CHILDISH and immature, uninformed, and absolutely uncalled for!!!! I am sorry you had a negative experience, but to post such horrible comments as you did really shows how ignorant you are, at least in regards to this pharmacy. If you are going to post negative reviews, please at least refrain from such nasty language and try to be a little more objective. I have been going to this pharmacy for over 6 years and started when I was a patient in the same building. These guys are one of the best non-chain pharmacies that are in town because they always have had Class 2 medications I've needed every time I visit and no hassle as long as I fill the meds when they are due. Unlike Other pharmacies in town such as Walgreens who would refuse to fill these medications for 24 hours until they did a background check, they care more about their patients and treat them with respect, dignity, trust, and courtesy because they know that the large majority of people need and use these medications due they chronic health problems, as we are the 99%. It's a shame that we have a president in the White House that wants to ban the medications all for the lowly 1% of people that non-legitimately use these drugs recreationally, because it hurts the rest of us as medical consumers and patients trying to live normal lives. That being said, I do not advocate or condone illegal drug abuse and all, but now since 420 is legal, I hope in the future they might explore this enterprise if the City of Escondido ever starts allowing 420 sales as the city can make more money as a mutual benefit from the tax revenue they collect. Only time will tell though, so if I were you, I would start transferring your Rx's here as you'll be served in 15 minutes from drop-off to walking out with your meds during an average crowd day. They also deliver medications directly from door-to-door free of charge in the city and other parts of north county. They also have an app we can use easily so we can refill online anytime it's due or setup auto refills. If I had to say something bad about this place, it would be that although their hours are limited to Mon-Fri, it's not unreasonable at all for them and they still deliver past store hours. I hope they get more people and can expand their hours, that would be so awesome :) If they get enough new people coming in with Rx's from other store chains, it definitely will have a non-zero chance of happening. This is a small, local business that is doing a fantastic job and deserves recognition for their excellent customer service! Mercy Care Pharmacy at 488 E. Valley Parkway are the BEST. The biggest thing I love is the convenience of free home delivery! Like a sucker, I was going from the Pediatrician to Walgreens... Unbuckling my sick daughter and hauling her inside to wait in line for her medicine... Now, we just go home and let Sam, Miguel, and Mike do the rest. They also call when my regular prescriptions are getting low and offer to send those over if I'm ready. My Beagle takes a medication called Carprophen every day. Obviously I'm paying cash for her. I called around from Costco to Walmart and Mercy had it for over a hundred dollars less than the most expensive estimate I got...! (That's how I found them in the first place.) Finally, there are some medications my family take regularly that have a minimal ten dollar copay. These nice people let me know that if I wanted to pay for them myself, I could pay less than my actual copay! Really? These folks are great and if you don't love your pharmacy... I suggest you switch and you'll know what I'm talking about!! read more

This pharmacy is the reason I joined Yelp, it's quite rare to experience service at this level anymore and with large scale "chain" pharmacies it's really not even possible. From my first visit and on every one that's followed I've been treated as a friend, valued customer and an individual, not just "customer number so and so". I don't even live nearby the business but I'm happy to drive the distance as I know I'll receive phenomenal customer service! Thank you to the entire staff at Mercy Care! Five Stars Plus! read more
