It's now been a month since he was supposed to cut a screen for me, that I already paid for, and I'm sure I'll never see that. He's totally unserious, unreliable, untrustworthy, and unbelievably slow, if not vindictive in not following through on a pre-paid job for someone who doesn't want to work with him. On a Friday afternoon, I reached out to ~5-7 vendors to assess a broken HVAC in a DC condo. Ricardo was able to come out IMMEDIATELY at 8PM on a Friday night. He did a quick dusting of the unit which hadn't been serviced in a while and even went to the roof as a part of his diagnosis. After sticking around for a couple hours trying to find the source of the problem, I was mentally preparing myself to pay a diagnosis and service fee, but there was no such thing. What signaled to me Ricardo was top notch was the fact that this man lives in Baltimore, easily a 50-minute commute from where I was in DC. He didn't leave until I was satisfied with his work until 930PM on a FRIDAY night. This type of service is difficult if not impossible to find. Ricardo patiently explained what the problem was, why I wouldn't have working AC after he would leave, and what my options were. He was very transparent with pricing, sent over a couple of quotes, and laid out what install schedules would look like depending on which manufacturer I went with. He and his team came in Tuesday and the install lasted about 7 hours. Fully working AC in less than 2 business days at a reasonable and competitive price. You cannot beat that.
