Came in to this shop with little to no knowledge on all things motorcycle related. I planned on getting some knowledge on helmets and gloves as I have an upcoming motorcycle class. I was greeted by Robert, who has such extensive knowledge on safety and gear. He walked me through the various brands/styles of helmets that I got to try on and test for myself. Too much of a hurry to be of help. Went to pick up pair of Iron Worker Cargo Sand pants in 34 waist and the pants were torn; a manufacturer defect or user error. Filled out a form for a special order, and they told me we will call you. No average quantitative timescale or expected quantitative timescale just we will give you a call. I call later during the week after 5 days and I ask if arrived. Told me will get a call. I asked, will you check to see where ordered and if even ordered. They checked and said a place in Arizona I couldn't understand and then said we'll I'm busy I have to go and hung up. read more

Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable. My roommate is just a beginner when it comes to bikes and everyone there was so helpful when it came to selecting certain jackets for the hot Las Vegas heat and also selecting and helmet. They gave us their honest opinion on items we were looking at and looked for different ways to help us save. I definitely recommend coming here. I've visited Cycle Gear maybe 6 times between the two locations in Las Vegas over the last 4 months since I started riding and have had really good experiences. Today I was in the area and stopped in to check out the holiday sales and maybe some cold weather gear and was assisted by Robert. Robert was able to answer any questions I had and was conversational without feeling pushy at all, and went over the various promos and deals and happily offered suggestions based on the items I was checking out. Even though he was busy with answering phone calls and greeting literally every person who came in, he was extremely respectful and courteous. He also was kind enough to show me around the store and mention various motorcycle care items that he uses. I ended up getting a great deal on Bluetooth comms and he happily offered to install it for me and even worked through pairing and some basic functions of the unit. I also purchased some other items that another salesman helped with while Robert was answering a call and he had the integrity to confirm who that was so they'd receive their commission for assisting. As a retail employee, this experience was a rare treat amongst the regular retail encounters nowadays and I'll be happy to return to this location in particular. To the management at Cycle Gear, you did well in hiring and training Robert as he was truly the most well versed and clearly spoken salesperson who I've worked with. I don't mean to discount the great experiences I've had before at CycleGear but today was a gold standard and I wanted to communicate it out. My only request is maybe a CycleGear location somewhere on the southwest side of town. Today's visit was worth the 50 mile round trip ride, but I can't logistically frequent the store as much as I'd like. Maybe I'll just need to move somewhere closer. read more

Came in to window shop gear with my partner. Customer service was amazing! We were shopping for around half an hour and two associates came to make sure we were taken care of. Both associates were extremely kind, well informed, and personable. I sadly didn't catch the first associates name but the second person was named Robert and he was extremely nice too. Not only were they personal they also didn't pressure us into buying anything while still giving us plenty of info. Prices within the store were comparable to any other gear shop if not better with a wide selection of items. Lots of cute gear for ladies like me who love pink too which is always a bonus. As bad as I want to give them a 0 I cannot. Greg the store manager and Doug are the 2 most helpful guys in the industry. They go above and beyond for everybody. 100 great trips and 1 bad trip does not justify taking the 5 star away. But I will say this today I was in store dealing with Doug and as usual picture perfect service. His co-worker chimes in on a conversation. Inadvertently starts talking about a customer not realizing the customer he was talking about and criticizing was right in front of him. I knew the situation because it was my situation. I immediately called him out on it right away and he tried to back track saying that wasn't what he was talking about when indeed it was the exact thing he was talking about. Doug tried his best being professional to calm the situation down but the damage was already done. In no way did Robert get aggressive or have a rude tone. He just made a mistake talking about a situation to the customer that the situation was about. It was very unfortunate because I've been shopping at cycle gear since it was at pecos. I absolutely loved giving my business and helping there employees bolster their checks by any means of purchasing things. After today I don't feel I want to return to the store because of what had transpired. This store is absolutely amazing and the staff is 99.9 percent always on their game. Just today one wasn't and if the issue wasn't so deep due to health issues I would of water under the bridge it. But it actually was something more then just motorcycle gear. So again thank you Greg and Doug for always helping me and making my experience great and getting me anything I needed. But I was disrespected today beyond what I will just push over. read more

They price match wich is cool and they also help you get the best bang for your buck with their product knowledge. They also do tires at this location so a plus for me. The only negative I have which is not a huge deal Is they have a limited selection on parts and accessories. Again not a huge deal. I believe they have great customer service which every store should have. I can't speak for the Decatur Store. They're nice don't get me wrong but I didn't like the fact that a gentleman working there was chewing and spitting tabacco in front of me. It's disgusting to watch. There have been several times where I go to buy a helmet and they treat me like I'm going to steal something. This location is closer to my side of town than the Decatur store, so I end up here more often. Being smaller than the other store, they do not have as much inventory to choose from, but the staff are great to deal with.
