Never again. I had them mount balance and install tires on my BMW motorcycle that I purchased. I was happy with the service until I just found out they put RED thread lock on my rear tire studs and massively over-torqued them. Now I'm going to have to get another shop to heat the studs and replace them afterward. Seriously 150 ft-lb and they can't remove them. They're supposed to be torqued to 44 ft-lb. got quote for leaky transmission was quoted $1,030.00 had them add a carrier bearing that I purchased. when I got the car back, transmission was STILL leaking, drive shaft was not torqued to specs, exhaust hanging brackets were loose, washers put on the wrong side of drive shaft. when I addressed this, they said owner would call me. never did. We had check engine light on in diesel truck, and a/c had just stopped working a couple weeks earlier not producing cool air. A friend of ours recommended this shop. We were able to get in right away for diagnostic and consult. John thoroughly explained what the error code meant and what had to be fixed, our choices for repair/replacement and he found the coolant leak that I was unable to locate. In the waiting area we were impressed with the training and certificates; the thoroughness of the answers to my numerous questions; the three-month free sirius xm info; and complimentary cocoa. Super bonus was the 3 yr/36,000 warranty of the the work/parts performed in a nationwide network of auto repair shops. Was given a card with phone number for glove box. I've been in twice, both without appointments. One for a smog test on my car. I was out in 15 minutes and it was the same price as nearly everywhere else. Second trip took my van in for an oil change. Less than 40 bucks and an hour and a half of my time I was on my way. I feel like they are pretty honest, most places instantly recommend this or that, or find something that needs replacement. They didn't upsell me which I greatly appreciate. Previous business that serviced my trike a Honda dealer would no longer do work as trike over 20 yrs old. I had noticed a strong smell of gas when riding my Honda Goldwing 1500 SE trike.They directed me to another shop who stated no leak and obviously charged me to tell me this. 300 miles later smell stronger and now you can visibly see fuel dripping when running. Did some research and found Mastertech so glad I did. They found leaking carbs on day it was booked in costed repair ordered parts to rebuild carbs. I don't know yet if the work was done right because I just picked up my car; however, I am writing because they appear to practice bait & switch. I went by the shop 2 days ago. I asked for the price of a realignment. I told them the year and model of my car. The person at the desk asked me whether my vehicle was 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. He advised that a 2 wheel drive was $129 and a 4 wheel drive was $149. I had 2 wheel drive so he said it would be $129. I then asked when I could have it done and he said come by in 2 days. He said it would take 45 minutes and they open at 8:00 am and they could arrange for me to get a ride home. I brought the vehicle in at about 8:30 am. I was then told it would be $149. I repeated what I was told. The man insisted that it did not matter whether it was 2 wheel drive or not but whether they were doing an alignment on 2 wheels or 4. I recall what I heard. I then went forward with the service at $149. I asked about a ride when told it would be a 45 minute before they started and then another 45 minutes for the work. He said his car was dirty and the other guy there said his car was small and they both chimed in that their cars were small. I came back in about 2 hours to pick up my car. The invoice said $149 for labor but added $7.45 for parts. I asked what parts were replaced and the guy said none. He said that they charge for shop materials and directed me to a typewritten page on the wall and said it referred to the models of cars that shop materials were charged. I was never told about "shop materials" and in 50 years of dealing with cars in Florida, California and most recently Nevada I have never heard of such a thing. The attitude of the people at this shop was rude and I had the distinct impression that I was being cheated. I clearly was given different prices from when I first appeared to when I signed an estimate which referred to the cost without the additional cost not disclosed. I would never deal with a company that treats customers this way. read more

This time I took the 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 in to get brake work, solve an ongoing engine heating issue the dealership couldn't solve, and look at the summary of work the dealership provided to see what really needed be done. Josh and the team had the vehicle reviewed within 12 hours with a complete breakdown of everything that needed to REALLY be fixed with a price that didn't make me freak out. The team did an outstanding job, and they were able to fully fix the engine heating issue which the dealership had totally screwed up. I totally trust Master Tech and would recommend anyone to them. I took my Jeep 2007 Wrangler Unlimited to Master Tech. It was in at 8am and out by 4pm, I was pleasantly surprise at the time frame. I went there because my daughter was always pleased with the work they did on her Audi. (I had been use to going to the Chrysler dealership for service. It seemed as though the bills were never under $500 - ranging in the $1000 just going in for an oil change and them finding something else wrong. Thus messing with my time and mostly money!) Well, I decided to get my oil and filter changed, also notice my coolant was rapidly dissipating; on top of this a few weeks ago my psgr side windshield wiper stopped working. Why not give Master Tech a chance! My jeep was at 92000 miles, so I know it was time for a check up. Upon their inspection they had to remove the intake manifold gasket and replace the lower, they put in a wiper link bushing assembly and the steering dampener. They price and time was reasonable....Josh and his crew were on it!...I believe in paying a fair price for reasonable and quality work. I left Master Tech and didn't feel as though I got held up or lied to, by being told one thing and leave feeling distraught because of add on repairs and more time for mechanics to fix it. As a female this has happen at numerous repair shops here in Vegas and we all know and have a gut instinct when we are being lied to. Josh you guys deserve 10 stars, I only gave you 4 stars, because I wanted to be able to give you additional stars the next time I need service. Went there on 31 Dec 2019 for a wheel alignment. I explained to Jason about my vehicle that it "shimmy" when I drive it on a pavement that has grooves the runs along with the road, as if it likes to follow the grooves. No other issues when I drive it on any other types of pavement. Make long story short, instead of taking the job for little to no adjustments Jason advised me that it was more than likely the type of tires I was using. I switched to a different tire and it drives through any types of pavement with no "shimmying". Master Tech Automotive is one of the few ENDANGERED HONEST MECHANICS in town. First let me say. We live in N Las Vegas. So Master Tech is about 20 miles from home. With that said. I would drive 50miles for them We bought a 2003 VW New Beetle. Turned out to not be in the condition we where lead to believe. I meet a girl randomly on FB to buy something from her we chatted a bit telling her about my bday present she tells me oh and my husband is a mechanic. Gives me his card. I called took the beetle ALL THE WAY TO HENDERSON. Meet John. Left the bug with him. And yes it had a lot of problems. Needed Spark plugs spark plug wires the catalytic converter was trashed so it needed a new one of those struts shocks I don't remember everything else but John fixed it up and then we bought new doors for it at PicAPart because the insides panels were trashed. And yes he switched those out. And let me add that that also includes all the electric wiring for the power windows power locks power side mirrors. The man and his employees are Brilliant. I really don't think there is anything he and his team can't do. They were always pleasant when I called never had to wait long to speak to John himself as I'm concerned they are the only place to take your vehicles he also change the oil and it passed smog which he did there as well my Volkswagen new beetle is all his the only place it will ever go THANK YOU MASTER TECH FOR ALL THE GREAT WORK AND KINDNESS P.s. the cleanest restrooms in a garage I have ever seen Just an update. Master Tech Automotive & Cycle Repair can provide you with an imaginary diagnosis so they can line their pockets with your money. I was thinking about getting my car repaired by these people. Their false diagnosis was going to cost me $2,500. I went for another estimate, and this honest shop in town, which eventually repaired my car, charged me more than $1,000 less. It was a completely different diagnosis that fixed the problems and my car is running smoothly. So this is proof that Master Tech Automotive is another dishonest auto shop that is ready to rip off customers that put their trust in them. They estimated repairs that weren't warranted just to make a buck. Shame on them!! These are the worst kind of businesses that take advantage of customers in their time of need. Oh, and they charge a whopping $123 to diagnose your car, which they don't apply to the bill if you get your car repaired there. I asked him why it was so expensive and the guy at the front said it was to offset the expensive equipment they have to buy for servicing cars. I would like it to be known prior to this review that I am not upset that I failed smog, I am however very upset at how I was treated as a customer. With that being said, I will not be coming back here and will NOT be recommending to any friends or family! Walked in the door, asked how much smog was? $30, pass or fail were the only words out of the mans mouth standing at the counter. Very unsocial and rude immediately. Brought my car down and when he first initially opens the hood, he begins leaning on the master cylinder reservoir and messed with my vacuum lines for a good two minutes. The whole time leaning on the reservoir like he's trying to stress test the life out of it. Gets out and hops into the cab to rev up the engine to 25rpms. Then immediately just said, oh yeah.. looks like the vacuum lines, FAIL. He went ahead and quoted me a price to fix it. I immediately declined and let him know that I planned to replace anything needed myself. His face and response were just completely taken back that I was not going to pay to get it fixed there. He was rude while I payed for the smog and seemed irritated and money hungry that I wasn't getting his diagnosis fixed there. I did let him know that I've never had a problem getting smogged in the past and his response, "Well no one was doing their job." Overall, customer service was horrible. I have never seen someone perform a smog with the intentions to try and break parts and THEN try to quote you a price to fix it. Will never be coming here again and if I could rate 0 stars I certainly would! read more

To start, if I could give them a 10 I would. New to town, my car started then stopped. I looked at alot of auto repair shops, read yelp reviews, decided on Master Tech . Once I spoke with Josh I was feeling more comfortable with my decision. I thought it was one of my O2 sensors and asked for a quote over the phone. He quoted me $280 To $350. Had the car towed to their shop and asked if he could pick me up to retrieve my older truck after work was done he said yes. Twenty-four mile round trip, didn't have to pay a taxi. They looked at my truck and told me I needed a Fuel Injection Relay, TOTAL cost $119. That solved the problem, back on the road again. Monday morning and got my truck back by 4 pm. This shop , in my opinion , will not sell you something you don't need. Talked to Josh multiple times, always upfront and FRIENDLY. Will be going back for all my truck needs.
