I was in a bit of a bind... the battery on my motorcycle had apparently died out, and a generic replacement from Walmart was not going to cut it. Fortunately, my cousin lives in the Orlando area, and he was able to get me out to Cycle Gear where they had a battery for me. We were able to get out there, get the battery, and be on our way without any issues, and replacing the battery fixed the problem on the bike, so all was good. I was able to phone ahead to the store and they put the battery aside for me so that when I arrived about an hour later, they had it ready to go. Recently bought a Rebel 1100 DCT and decided to stop by with my wife while in the neighborhood. We were greeted upon entry. They have a good-sized store with a few things I wanted to check out; however, it would seem most of the store was either geared towards Motocross or Crotch Rockets and not your average Cruisers. I couldn't find a good pair of riding boots that weren't for either of those types of customers, riding pants tailored to people with a slimmer waist and shorter stature, or a brake light harness allowing me to upgrade my lights for protection on the road at night. I took a few pictures to check pricing when I got home and found they were selling some items for the same price online, but others were way overpriced. The only time we were asked if we needed help was when exiting the store. It's a shame, as they have a lot of people on the floor, but they seemed more interested in shooting the breeze with other employees than to offer assistance. read more

Went shopping for a helmet and (wish i could remember his name) went over the various types of helmet options and pros and cons. When i picked a particular style then we went into the brand/price range and the differences. After I selected the model and color I wanted, he helped me determine the correct size. Prices are full retail. Often times, Amazon can do better on the same product. That say they take competitors discounts, but they really don't even when you present them with multiple coupons from different vendors. 2 helpful employees, the rest could care less. Too bad. They have brands but not all the brands that are in style, they have just a few. Also the inventory of helmets is kind of weird; They have dusty helmets (like actual white old dust) not being wiped down on a regular basis for the costumers. Most of the time they only have whatever size is in the shelves already opened and worn by a lot of people. It's just not that good of a store if you like specific brands amor for up to date stuff. read more

Called and was left on hold for 20+ mins for them to be able to walk less than 100 feet to the other side of the store to see if they had a tube in stock. By that time, I had enough time to get into my car, drive there, and check on my own within the store to see if it was in stock. I even stayed on the phone with them, to see if they would decide to possibly pick up the phone, didn't even hesitate. This isn't my first bad experience with this store and thankfully it will be my last. If you need your BEAUTIFUL NEW RIMS SCRATCHED, this is the store for you! We just bought bikes and came here looking for gear. Large store with tons of options. We wished there was more of a selection for women and they didn't have the helmets we were looking for. They offered to order them, but it's too far of a drive from our house to go back. So we ordered them online instead. The staff was very helpful. Answered questions, got stock from the back, and looked up the helmets for us. Walked out with a new jacket, gloves, and shoes. read more

Do not disclose your address to these people when they ask you for it at the register! When asked, I said "no thanks, I don't want any mail." The guy claimed it was only for "customer identity". A week later, here's a Cycle Gear catalog and what else? Mail from Geico moto insurance! Not only do they send you spam, but they seem to disclose information to third parties as well. Drove 1.5 hours to get there. Spent $500 in their store on a new helmet & Sena Bluetooth headset. Drove 1.5 hours home only to find out that the "Brand new" Sena I purchased was missing several pieces. If I was you, I would drive to JP Cycles or buy online. read more

Great place for motorcycle parts and gear. My bad experience is what gave them a crappy rating. I bought a battery for my 07' GSX-R750 after my voltage regulator melted on me(which is a common problem for this model). When I purchased this battery the associate filled the battery improperly and the acid was seeping from the plug holes at the top of the battery and consequently leaked on my floor mat and then onto my floorboard carpet. Thus melting it. After months of calls and ignored responses from me. They(corporate offices of cycle gear) determine they would give me a $20 gift certificate. Insulting me. So if you want quality products with good customer service do not go to this place. Btw my carpet to be replaced was priced around $850. read more

I recently signed up for the Basic Riders Course that is needed in the state of Florida to ride, and was told I would need leather boots, gloves, and a jacket in order to take the course. I went to Cycle Gear to look around and being a new rider I wasnt quick to jump on the prices for Alpinestar gear. One of the reps walked us around and showed us some of the gear they had in stock and helped us pick out everything we needed. I bought two Bilt jackets, with 2 pairs of Bilt gloves, and 2 pairs of Bilt boots. Pretty inexspensive stuff, but great for what I needed it for. I spent around 370 for all of it and went home. Got home and started to try things on and found that there were two different boots with two different sizes in my box. I was pretty upset but proceded with a phone call to Cycle Gear. They had said they were closed and that we could sort it out in the morning. Being that the very next morning I needed to be at the Basic Riders Course at the same time Cycle Gear opened we asked if we could come in right away right now (Keep in mind they were closed) to swap out the single unmatched boot. They guy on the phone said you better hurry. We hauled butt over to cycle gear to swap out the boot and avoided a mishap and were able to complete the Basic Riders Course without any issues. thanks to the guy that was nice enough to wait for us so we could exchange the boot we didnt lose our money at the BRC since we were able to show up on time.
