I've been a member for 6 months and I love the instructors. They are fun and silly and the second to last song is always a words of wisdom time to check in our yourself. I recommend taking a first class with Nicole, Alex, or Kathryn (Katie). Seasoned pros and great music. I'm a gear girl and I love doubling it which helps me burn more calories and gain more muscle.

As soon as I was vaccinated I wanted to get back into taking spin classes. It was something I've enjoyed doing as a supplement to running for the past 3 years. I found cyclebar by just searching cycling classes on Yelp and google. I saw that this place looked a lot like the studios I'm used to so I had a good feeling right away. As with any fitness class, you have to find instructor styles that work well for you depending on what teaching style you enjoy (also the class playlist accounts for 50% of my loyalty). The studio is always in tip top shape. You can check-in on the app or a tablet near reception. They have filtered water station, keurig and quick snack bars and fruit for after the class. Lockers are assigned with your name written on with expo marker. They sometimes write notes if there's a first timer, birthday or other milestone. It's a nice touch and the organization makes things run smoother. Inside the spin room it's typically dark during class with some mood lighting like red or blue. The instructor will change it depending on the cues they want to give to riders. They also incorporate upper body using a light weighted bar to do bicep curls and whatnot with. So far I've taken an express class (30 min) and empower (45 mins). Next I'm taking classic (45 min) but OUTDOORS and I am stoked I think it's brilliant. Be prepared to sweat and push yourself hard!!

I would give this place 10/5 if you could! Found this through an ad on Facebook and a snap story from a friend and decided to give it a shot, because I've always wanted something similar to Soul Cycle in Jacksonville. But, CycleBar is so much more- it's a community of people, who lift each other up and show up for you. Experience: The ambience is minimalistic but classy and elite. You'll always see a smile on everyone's face from the moment you enter. They provide you with clean shoes per your size (shoes that click on your bike pedal), clean towels, energy bars and fruits. Cycle studio: Beautifully designed with surround sound, ~36 bikes, and great air conditioning, because the Cycle stars WILL make you sweat. Format: 45 mins of cycling with upper body and lower body workouts on the bikes, while you ride to the rhythm of upbeat music. The music is selected and customized for every class by the Cyclestar to provide variety and make every class a different experience. You have everything from hip hop, pop, rap and remixes- anything that will give you a great HIIT level of workout. Performance: Your personal performance depends on your own ability to push yourself and your personal fitness level. Your RPM, resistance and Power level gives you an average score of power points which places you in a rank in comparison to every one else You get your workout statistics- Your average power, calories burned, min and max RPM on your app to keep track of your performance. The same gets emailed to you as well. App & Website: Super easy to schedule your classes for the week, on their app or their website You are expected to cancel a class 12 hours before your scheduled time, to avoid fees for no shows or late cancellations. ($10 for late cancellations and $15 for no shows) They have AM, noon and evening classes that could fit pretty much everyone's schedules. The weekend class schedules are convenient as well. Starting March, they have new formats for classes, including Xpress (30 min format), Connect and Empower! Fees: CycleBar has different packages (unlimited rides a month, #number of rides a month) depending on how frequently you can make it. They have tons of promotions going on and if you like working out by tuning out the world, and getting lost in a zone for 45 mins, it's all worth it. Social Media Presence: @cyclebargatewayvillage is their official Instagram account, if you enjoy that. Their cycle stars are all on social media and very inspiring women and men! I've taken classes with Amanda, Katie, Kelly, Aylin, Camille and Nyna so far, and every class has been different in its own way. I've loved them all! Conclusion: Cycle bar Jacksonville puts in an effort to make your experience customized and special for you, with small things- like celebrating your birthday, your first ride, your first milestone ride or even your promotion (if you care to share details) and giving you that right push you need. Clearly, I'm definitely a loyalist and can't wait to see where this year takes me! Thank you CycleBar for bringing in such energy and drive to Jacksonville and a huge huge shoutout to all the Cyclestars.

It was my very first time and I admit I was scared at first. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The instructor was amazing and very motivational!! Over all I'll give this place a 10 and I will be returning

I cannot even begin to describe all of the amazing things Cyclebar Gateway Village has done for my life, my mental health, my physical health and my overall well-being. It has the most inclusive atmosphere, where no matter what level rider you are, ride 1 or ride 100, you always feel so welcome and encouraged. I would highly recommend Cyclebar GWV to anyone looking for a new, positive journey in their life. (Just ask all of my friends and family that are members now too!) "The hardest part is showing up!" But I promise, once you do, you absolutely won't regret it. :)

It's been many years since I had gone to a cycling class. Wow!! Talk about the way cycling has transformed through the years!! I love the modern ambience and trendy setup. I walked in and found multiple iPads to easily check in and grabbed my spin shoes. I went back to find my name and bike # written on my personal locker to store my belongings. Nice touch!! The instructor gave a 10 min callout to class start time. I chose a middle row bike cuz its been a few years since I took a class. The cycle instructor was experienced in setting up bikes. Even a few other staff members assisted others in setup. I got my shoes locked and ready for the ride. A 45min ride, can I make it through. The music, the lights, brought the vibe to carry me through. My fellow cyclists were friends and others supporters of a cause V for Victory. The music emphasized triumph after a fight from cancer. I really appreciate the opportunity to come to this event. Towards the end of the class I found out what the Cycle"bar" meant...they had a 4 and 6lb bars to do weights while riding. Upper body workout...added bonus. Even if I was dog tired....I pushed through. At the end, they showed off the top 20 cyclists..I was in the top 5. Woohoo!! This place opened 2 months ago, looking forward to coming again to burn off more calories!!

Went to try my free ride and ended up getting a membership. Absolutely love this place, it gets me so fired up and the people and instructors are great. My favorite is Nicole, she is a beast! Always look forward to my rides! I would refer anyone here who's looking for a fun and challenging way to spice up their workouts.

    Encouraging words at CycleBar!

I've been an official CycleBar Gateway Village member for 1 month, have 14 lifetime rides, and I'm officially obsessed. The whole experience at CycleBar is an A+. When you walk into the pristine cycle studio, you are immediately greeted by the CycleBar team! Lockers are complimentary for the class, and you can easily store your stuff for the class. Shoes are also provided complimentary. Now the class itself are upbeat and all the instructors are full of eager, and genuinely excited you are there. After 14 classes, I already feel like I am a part of the CycleBar family! Oh, and as an added bonus after the class there is always fruit and snacks. If it's your first time, no worries, as they will show you how to check in, how to use the lockers, how to adjust your bike, clip in...anything you need! I would highly recommend that you visit CycleBar today!

The lady that checked me in wasn't so pleasant so that's part of my star bump. Didn't really get that welcome feeling with her when I mentioned I was a Nationwide Member. The locker rooms were easy to access and very cooled down. Men's locker rooms had a middle room for lounging. The towels here are super large (instead of the normal sweat towels). There's one enclosed room with weight machines, and then a larger open room with smith machines, dumbbells, bench, incline, pulley machines, treadmills/ellipticals and a cardio training zone. They also have an outdoor covered astroturf cardio zone. There is a large heated pool, basketball court and separate studio rooms for fitness classes. My only gripe is that front desk lady and the limited benches they have. Otherwise, this is a solid gym option!

I started coming to F45 Deerwood this year after having been to a few different locations…read more(Jacksonville, Nashville, Orlando) and it's pretty solid. It's not been my favorite studio overall, but they offer convenient times for classes and the workouts are always great, even if the classes aren't full or super high energy. The two coaches I've had have been friendly and do a great job during classes to help correct your form or keep you on track. The space is plenty large and I've never felt overwhelmed with trying to fit in with the other members or all of the equipment, Overall, I'd stick with a 4/5.

I just finished up a free week trial at F45 Training Deerwood and I am super happy that I decided…read moreto check it out. There are so many positives so let me start with the fact that you can sign up for a free, no strings attached trial. I downloaded an app, logged in, and whenever I wanted to attend a class I checked the days schedule and booked it. The app doesn't tell you how full a class is, but the website does. I did five classes all week and I think the hardest class was Wednesdays Docklands. I was sore all over and drenched. The classes switch focus from day to day. Some days you are working on more strength based exercises, some days you are shooting for a high heart rate, and some days they mix the two. All the classes in every F45 worldwide is the same on any given day and they change the classes every 10 weeks. You won't be stuck or bored doing the same thing week to week. The owner Chris is very nice and personable. The coaches are fit and illustrate good form when they run through their exercises at the beginning of each class. They encourage you when you are huffing and puffing. They will correct you when you are doing something wrong so you don't hurt yourself, which is super important. They are also just nice and positive. They motivate each person in class to strive for their best. That may be the number one best thing I can say about F45. If you are shooting to shred some fat and gain some muscle F45 is a place where you can make that happen. If you can eat healthy to go along with consistent visits you will be looking different in a few months. I purposefully went the whole week before I asked about membership. I really wanted to get a feel for the gym without thinking is this expensive or worth it. Prices vary based on how much you visit, which is to be expected. It is about eight times more expensive than my current gym, but twenty times better. If you can afford it and take advantage of what you pay for then you won't regret it. I can totally see the coaches encouraging you to come in or not miss a day, so you hit your goals. F45 is new so everything inside still has a nice new look and feel. If you are used to doing your own thing at a box gym, this experience is different, but not bad. Classes last about 45 min with one class a week going a full 60 minutes. No more wasting two hours at a gym slowly going between exercises and hearing bro's grunt as they try and out peacock each other. In all honesty you will mostly zone everyone out during your workouts here as you will be working too hard. I am not sure yet if I will join, although I loved my experience, but you should definitely take a look for yourself. I had a great week and you will too.
