The benefit to doing these kind of classes is that regardless of age or fitness level you can go at your own pace. The location is easy to find a strip mall with ample parking. I was very lucky in that the instructor told us some classes are completely packed, but this whole studio was basically ours with only myself, my friend and two others. Turned out they had traveled an hour to get there because of this type of class. The small group setting made it much easier to maneuver around when trying to learn different moves on the harness having plenty of space around you. Once we figured out how to get into the harness, it was just about getting comfortable and learning some basic moves. Once you realize that you literally cannot get hurt it's time to let loose. Given this is my first time, it took a little while to figure out how to maneuver around. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and did some spinning and a handstand!! I'm actually extremely sore due to the burpees and squats and can't wait to go back. They have packages or what I did is sign up for a single class. No commitment and with that one first time you get a second one included. I think that's very smart as it does take a minute to get a hang of this so you get another try at it. They have classes during the day and early evening so you can fit it in around your schedule. Keep in mind they are closed between Friday evening and Saturday.

Then I took a class with Joanna "JoJo" who might have been having a bad day or is just not well mannered but either she was unprofessional and her attitude was very unattractive. Came across like she is better than everyone else and snobby- not my cup of tea. Pro's- the gym is pretty clean,the locker rooms are nice (but no steamer) and the members seem like they have a nice vibe. I joined LifeTime instead as operating hours are very important to me and I can't take classes with instructors who carry themselves like that.

I called the local manager again. They said they would take care of it, and then I asked for a refund of all the months that they had billed me after told them I was going to be at the gym. Several emails back-and-forth and promises, nothing. They are ghosting me and it's really shitty for them to do that. It's trivial money, but it's the whole point of the matter. For this reason, I will slander planet fitness for as long as I live to as many people as I can get to. At this rate my reviews on Google and Yelp see about 25+ million views a month. There's one tiny aircon hairdryer for the entire locker room, and if you have any kind of thick hair, it's not going to work at all. Good gym for working out, no bueno if you need to wash off after it.

The 2nd floor is divided into two main areas, the cardio area and weight area (both machines & free weights). Joining was very simple, I sat down with "Nur" the Fitness Manager who laid out the available options. I went with the national Program paid annually. Some improvements I'd recommended are more abdominal machines like a Roman chair, I'd also like to see significantly more full elliptical machines, most of the ones there don't have moving arms, which is half a work out. Overall, this is the best value gym in Bergen County. Everyone I've met there is extremely curious and non judgmental. The staff is very friendly, always smiling when you check in and they do their best to keep the place clean. It can get busy during peak hours, but during work hours you'll have the place to yourself to do your own thing. The guest pass is a no brainer to be able to bring your spouse (who is on the treadmill in my photo). Like anything in life, the more you put into your workout, the better the results. This is a budget type gym, where you bring your own towel, but there are plenty of water fountains to fill your bottle. I'd rather bring my own clean towel and pay less for a place with lots of amenities. For the money I'm going to give 24 Hour Fitness 5 stars. I followed their contract terms exactly, sending a certified letter with a doctor's note confirming I could no longer use the gym for medical reasons (exceeding 6 months). Instead of honoring their own policy, they became completely evasive--ignoring my emails, dodging my calls, and refusing to provide any response. To make matters worse, Nicole, the manager, was extremely rude and unprofessional when I tried to resolve this after finally getting in touch with her. Instead of assisting me, she was dismissive and unhelpful. Beyond their shady business practices, the sauna has visible wood rot and decay (or mold), and since joining, I've had two fungal infections--something I've never dealt with before. Given these conditions and experiences, I'm filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the New York State Health Board to hold them accountable. Since they kept charging me despite my cancellation request, I had no choice but to dispute the charges and block payments through my credit card company. If you're thinking of joining this gym--don't. Their lack of ethics, poor management, and unsanitary conditions make this a terrible choice. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that values its members.
