The benefit to doing these kind of classes is that regardless of age or fitness level you can go at your own pace. The location is easy to find a strip mall with ample parking. I was very lucky in that the instructor told us some classes are completely packed, but this whole studio was basically ours with only myself, my friend and two others. Turned out they had traveled an hour to get there because of this type of class. The small group setting made it much easier to maneuver around when trying to learn different moves on the harness having plenty of space around you. Once we figured out how to get into the harness, it was just about getting comfortable and learning some basic moves. Once you realize that you literally cannot get hurt it's time to let loose. Given this is my first time, it took a little while to figure out how to maneuver around. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and did some spinning and a handstand!! I'm actually extremely sore due to the burpees and squats and can't wait to go back. They have packages or what I did is sign up for a single class. No commitment and with that one first time you get a second one included. I think that's very smart as it does take a minute to get a hang of this so you get another try at it. They have classes during the day and early evening so you can fit it in around your schedule. Keep in mind they are closed between Friday evening and Saturday.

We know that we are paying a premium price/dues and felt that the facilities and service were worth it. However, things have changed over the past few years. The bottom line is that we are still paying premium prices, but no longer getting premium service. We used to refer all of our friends to this club, but in good conscience we no longer refer. The machines are not well maintained, and when one is taken out of service it can take 4 to 6 weeks to repair. A number of the TV 's around the club have faulty feeds so pictures are intermittent. Many of the screens on elliptical and treadmills do not work. This situation has gone on for over a year, and management has been informed many times over these issues. The club has oversold its membership so that parking is a problem. Aurora classes are always waitlisted. I utilize your personal training services weekly and most recently, I spoke to the General manager, Dominick Delli Paoli, about a situation that has persisted for years. I am referring to classes that take place in the middle of the exercise floor. The instructor, Micah, blasts the music so loudly that I can't even hear my personal trainer and the sound is so loud that it is offensive. She lowers the music when she is giving her group instruction and then returns to the blasting music. I've spoken to management during the year and nothing has changed. Yesterday, I went to Dominick's office to request that he has the music lowered. I was shocked by his response. When I explained my request, he replied,"I will not do that!" He was rude and dismissive. I am stunned that the General Manager of an upscale club be so rude to his members. He sat at his desk and did nothing. I went back to my personal training very upset to be treated so poorly. We would like nothing more than to see this club return to its former excellence, but it's hard to believe that could happen with this current general manager. Respectfully,

They continue to admit members when they have filled the gym with pre-existing members. Often times I found myself waiting for 1 of 45 treadmills to be available. 6 of them would probably out of service with no warning sign on it. 2. As far as the sauna, be prepared to be joined by 15 men. 1 of which will be taking a business call. 3. You will see a 45lb dumbbell placed in a 15lbs dumbbell spot on the rack because people don't understand how to put things back. 4. Lastly, their locker room is disgusting. My friend got Plantar Warts walking once barefoot. Towels are everywhere, locker room attendants are hitting their vapes. End of story, It's not worth the monthly payment unless you will be going 5AM-7:30AM or 7:30PM-10PM due to crowdedness.

They had a hack squat machine which is rare for a PF. The locker room was clean and people genuinely looked like they were enjoying themselves. Granted I went at 2pm so maybe that is low traffic time. But if I lived closer I would def go here on the regular. I normally stay away from PF's in the nyc area because 8 times out of 10 there's always something weird happens. Or you can't use equipment because someone has taken all the dumbbells for themselves while commandeering the squat machine. Or a machine is broke or it's super crowded. But this location in New York I def recommend.

I didn't think anything about it until about February when I saw they were still billing me. So I called again and talked to the manager and they said they would handle it. Again, I don't really pay much attention to small reoccurring bills on my account, which has changed now. It's now August of the next year and I still have reoccurring bills. I called the local manager again. They said they would take care of it, and then I asked for a refund of all the months that they had billed me after told them I was going to be at the gym. Several emails back-and-forth and promises, nothing. They are ghosting me and it's really shitty for them to do that. It's trivial money, but it's the whole point of the matter. For this reason, I will slander planet fitness for as long as I live to as many people as I can get to. At this rate my reviews on Google and Yelp see about 25+ million views a month. It has become powerful..... PF: Do not comment here about how sorry you are to hear this If you care you will contact me directly.

I think commuters and other businesses share the parking lot with gym patrons, making it a long walk to the front. Inside, Vision Sports Club is a pleasant place. It's large; it's always chilly inside - but overall, this gym has decent workout space (even for serious lifting). The showers are clean, and the locker room is impeccable. There are classes, but most of them are located in the far corner of the building in a warehouse-like setting. The only instructor worth mentioning is Janice, who is quite good. The gym overall has no character - I think it's a cross between a Gold's gym and a Planet Fitness. THE BAD: When quitting the gym - I moved away from the area - the manager gave me a VERY hard time. They charged me for nearly 2 extra months, and when I complained, she went off on a personal attack asking me my age, questioning my maturity level, yelling, etc. No explanation was given, other than "that's the way we do it." From what I did understand, I was 3 days into the month, so I had to pay for that month AND the next (I was on month-to-month basis at the time). So I paid, and politely left. I'm not coming back.

My surgeon cleared me to begin working with a personal trainer at four weeks post-op, and since I had dropped in a few classes with IFA last Spring, I knew where to go. Saro listened to my doctor's orders/restrictions and focused on helping me stabilize my core muscles at first while (not so subtly) teaching me solid long term lifestyle habits to make the effects of this surgery count for the long haul. I started seeing him once a week in September and have had 12 personal training sessions. In that time my endurance has shot threw the roof, I can almost squat my max and I can do (assisted) pull ups for the first time in my life!! (My butt also looks great ) Most importantly, I feel like I am in the best shape of my life. I have slowly increased to 6 training days a week, varying my workouts. I could not have gotten here so quickly or been so strong without the instruction of the coaches at IFA. I've started integrating into the classes now that I have recovered from the surgery and I really feel like part of a team. Anyone in the Rockland Area looking for a team environment where you will be challenged at a level customized to you, should give IFA a shot. The results speak for themselves.

For some reason Drop Fitness doesn't open until 7AM on weekends! So you lost me there. I also noticed they close very early M-F and even earlier on the weekends. So I took a couple of classes and the yoga room was enormous- for such a small gym I don't see why they need a yoga room the size of a basketball court. Then I took a class with Joanna "JoJo" who might have been having a bad day or is just not well mannered but either she was unprofessional and her attitude was very unattractive. Came across like she is better than everyone else and snobby- not my cup of tea. Pro's- the gym is pretty clean, the locker rooms are nice (but no steamer) and the members seem like they have a nice vibe. I joined LifeTime instead as operating hours are very important to me and I can't take classes with instructors who carry themselves like that.
