Jana, the new owner, has lots of fun themed rides and parties that allow us to get silly and distract ourselves from the challenging workouts. Each instructor motivates and encourages with a unique vibe that makes every class entertaining. I love this place and its helped me tremendously in other athletic hobbies. It can be difficult and uncomfortable at first doing any spin class, but after 3-4 classes you'll be surprised how quickly your strength builds and it becomes easier. You don't have to follow all instructions, it's no big deal. I rarely turn my resistance up as high as they suggest. Love cyclebar! I actually found out about this place because they held a yelp event. I had never tried cycling before and I like to try new fitness related things. I loved it! I signed up for the 1 week unlimited special and signed up for 3 classes during that week. Tomorrow being my last one where I intend to start a membership. (I guess they deduct the cost of the 1 week trial off your 1st month if you do a membership before that week ends). I got 2 friends to do this with me who love it too! I think we are all signing up. You will sweat! That's for sure. It's such a high intensity workout. Its dark and glow-ie in there which I love. I pictured something like a gym setting... like the Amy Schumer "I feel pretty" movie. This feels more like a DJ in the room. (Side note: you won't pull an Amy Schumer here, lol!). The instructors I've experienced are FUN and so good at their jobs. They help you get set up on the bikes if you need it. You get a 32 oz water bottle your first day that you can refill each time with their fancy water machine. They give you a sweat rag and a wet rag after your workout that smells like eucalyptus. Their bathrooms are equipped with things you may need (lotion, tampons, qtips, razor, hair ties, hair tools, etc!) which is a nice touch! You don't need a lock for the lockers. You set your own code. I'm really happy I found this place and a huge shout out to Kelly who's been super responsive to emails and has been helpful! read more

I was so surprised at what CycleBar has to offer! - Great staff - Spin Shoes that are clean and in nearly new condition (if you don't have your own) - Filtered water - all you need to do is bring your container - Ear Plugs if the music is too much for you - Lockers with locks for your personal belongings - Showers (very nice ones at that) - A towel at every bike - Amazing, high energy instructions that keep you motivated - An intense workout that will leave you drenched! - Lastly, a very cold towel to wipe down with you clean and refresh yourself. Love this place! The classes are intense and sweaty! The studio is clean and beautiful. You can tell the owner really cares about making sure you get the best with instructors, equipment and a hair dripping workout. There is a purification water refill station with earplugs, mints a a few other cool things. Dripping with sweat, I realize I survived the vigorous class, actually burned off the cupcake I ate earlier and feel lighter physically and emotionally. When we finish the class, many of us struggle to remove the shoes from the clips and are encouraged to leave them there. As we walk out, we are each presented with a perfect chilled towel laced with essential oils. This needed refresher compares to getting the whip cream and cherry on top of your ice cream. Right now they have an unlimited ride for a $29 the first week special. If you're nearby, give it a try. You're bound to be spinning again soon! read more

Took class with Jana, I did not enjoy my time. I have taken many spin classes in the past years and this studio was disappointing to say the least. The instructor talks way too much during classes along with allowing too many interruptions to occur. This studio doesn't adhere to their late policies which is distracting to the class. Furthermore, I found a roach inside the studio by the back bikes. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. read more

AMAZING workout! Really high energy and positive instructors with super clean facility. Lots of help getting started (I hadn't done cycling in maybe 10 years) and you get your stats to push yourself from session to session. Plus I love that the classes are 45 minutes. You get a GREAT workout without taking up your whole day. I was worried it might not be a full body workout, but it's a ton of core to do the moves right, and then there's an arm section. So it's pretty full body without all the pounding from running or other high impact cardio classes. The class is dim but not completely dark which really helps me get into it without being self conscious about staring at myself in the mirror or worried about the weird faces I'm pulling and all the sweat as I'm pushing myself really hard. And then there are the cold aromatherapy towels at the end of every class. They're amazing and keep me pushing harder at the end. I would recommend this hands down to anyone looking to try something new. read more

I first want to say I have been to many different cycle studios in the past but I love CycleBar. Here are some of the great features about this studio. 1. It is very clean and well maintained from the lockers to the bathrooms to the bikes and shoes. 2. Spacing! There is a lot of space between the bikes and you don't feel crammed in next to your neighbors. You feel comfortable riding. The lockers have lots of space too compared to other studios I have been to and are very easy to use. 3. Very friendly front desk greeters and owners. They walk you step by step what to do and are very friendly. Keith was very accommodating when working with my membership plan and talking with me. I really appreciated his kindness and dedication to accommodating my schedule. 4. AMAZING instructors! I have been twice so far but the instructors are amazing. TORRI was the best! She is so personable and her mashup 80's music collection is outstanding and kept me motivated throughout my ride! Her upbeat personality and willingness to meet all of her riders drew people to her and I will be definitely taking more of her classes! 5 stars to Cyclebar! See you tomorrow! read more

I-love-this-place. Cyclebar San Elijo has so much to offer and I'm continuously impressed! PROS: Instructors: Amazing. Ashley E is a whole new level of awesome. If you have the opportunity to take a class with her-DO IT. Her energy is SO motivating, it pushes you to try that much harder. She hoots and hollers, she dances, she gets off her bike to pump up the riders. She's clearly a natural and was made for this stuff! Her classes are super fun and upbeat! I literally look forward to Wednesday and Saturday mornings with her. I also love Tori and Marissa. But really, they're all outstanding! Studio: Great layout with nice bikes (although the intensity nob is my worst nightmare), good amount of space between bikes, lighting and sound are perfect, shower/bathroom area has everything you need, they have an abundance of merchandise that I always have my eye on, they take note of birthdays and new riders which is a cute touch (love the water bottle!), and most importantly the whole place is cleannn! Other noteworthy Pros: Shoes are freeeee to use each class. They're still practically brand new and clean. They have a seamless check-in process and shoes are ready for you when you arrive. They're starting some other exciting things: wine down Wednesday's,throw back Thursdays, themed rides etc. I'm hoping for more! Maybe some mimosa mornings or glow stick rides ;) Oh, and the ice cold eucalyptus towel that they provide after class...that towel is life. I had a great time at CycleBar. I went to a Yelp event with my friend Ismael and I had a great experience from when I walked through the front door to when I walked out. I was helped right away into finding my shoes for riding and a locker to keep my stuff in. I felt that everything was clean and comforting. This was my first time doing anything like this so I did not know what to expect. Ashley E. was our instructor and I found that she kept the class motivated and engaged the whole time. I am rating as a 5 star not because its so easy to do that (Seriously great place) but mainly because the people there really were on top of everything and I certainly felt welcome and that to me is the cherry on top.
