I'm moving away this summer, and leaving is bittersweet because this place has meant so much to me. I can honestly say it's so much more than a fitness center, it's a real community. Later I was told "no refunds." Jazzercise stole money from me for four years. I was told it was my fault for not realizing they were still taking money out of my account. REALLY?! The owner claimed to be a small business, and that's why she didn't know this was happening. I happen to know the smaller your company, the easier it is to keep track of what's happening in your business. We will all see a reply from the owner saying that she doesn't see any paperwork to stop the membership. (Which we talked about) I told the gal at the front desk I was moving, and she said to me that they would take care of everything. I thought what great customer service! I was wrong. If that's not the correct way then than she shouldn't have told me that. I believed her.

That mattered to me because I don't think a gym should feel politically one-sided. After joining, I found that wasn't true. The TVs are overwhelmingly tuned to Fox News. When I asked about it, a front desk employee acknowledged that it's essentially Fox all the time and said management wasn't interested in changing it. What makes it feel even stranger is that the only TV showing a different news network was the one in front of a single accessible cardio machine, which gave the impression that any alternative viewpoint was being treated as an exception rather than part of a balanced lineup. This gym serves a very diverse community. People of different political views, races, ethnicities, and backgrounds all come here for the same reason: to work out. A fitness center shouldn't feel like it's endorsing one political perspective when something as simple as rotating news channels is clearly possible. Or maybe just ditch the news altogether and replace it with travel, nature, or other neutral programming-- which wwould make the environment more welcoming for everyone. My biggest disappointment isn't which channel they choose. It's that I made my decision to join based on information that turned out not to be accurate. I hope management will reconsider and create a TV lineup that better reflects the diversity of its membership instead of presenting only one viewpoint.

The beach itself was VERY short compared to sand length at other beaches so people were almost on top of each other. There was a pretty intense drop off about half way down the sand so it limited space for people to put down their stuff and lay out. I'm not sure how normal it is at this spot but there was a TON of rocks. It was way too much to be able to enter the water without having them beating your feet and ankles. My friend was bleeding after trying to check out the water. The surf was also a little intense that day so I'm wondering if that had any effect on the rock situation? This was a very clean beach with restrooms at the bottom of the ramp from the street so it did have that going for it but we decided to leave and head for a beach where we could safely go into the water that day. I'll have to come back another time to get a better idea.

If you're looking for an unforgettable cycling experience in the charming small town of San Elijo Hills, look no further than Cycle Bar! We recently had the pleasure of attending a Turn Up Tuesday cycle class, and let me tell you, it was a blast! Hosted by the phenomenal Jana, who also happens to be the owner, this class was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms and a smile. Jana's energy is contagious, and she really knows how to keep the class pumped. The music? Oh, it was loud and explicit - exactly what we needed to push ourselves harder! No worries though, they give you a heads-up about the explicit lyrics before you sign up. We're not easily offended and love that kind of music, so it was a perfect match for us. Every beat made us cycle faster and harder. The 45 minutes flew by in a sweaty blur of intense workout. Jana's class was packed with fun and challenging moves - push-ups, using a weighted bar, alternating between standing and sitting - giving our glutes and lower body a fantastic workout. We left drenched in sweat and gloriously sore for days afterward! One of the highlights was the happy hour with drinks post-class. What a great way to cool down and socialize! But the absolute best part? The lockers. They're whiteboards, and they left us an adorable message letting us know we did a great job on our first ride. How sweet is that? The black light room with color-changing lights added a super fun ambiance that made the whole experience even more exhilarating. I have been a member at a couple of different spin studios throughout the last couple of years and cyclebar is hands down my favorite place. Most importantly they have amazing instructors and staff. The instructors truly care about you and it shows. I also like the bikes and class format. The studio offers lots of themed rides and they host a lot of fun events. Check them out, you won't regret it. Spin class is my favorite part of the day, even if it's 530am on a Monday. I'm looking forward to tomorrows class while I'm writing this. read more

He was very informative and came by me to help correct my forms to make sure I was doing the exercises correctly. We came pretty early to get set up and getting a tour of the equipment. I enjoyed using the reformer machine, as well as the dowell(?) stick and the foam box to incorporate into the exercises. The benches were great quality and the adjustment of straps were secure and seemed to work very well. I also love how open the studio is. It felt like I was in a bright garage getting some great work done!!! I was super tired and sweaty afterwards and definitely needed a walk after!!! Bought a couple of grippy socks which costed about $38. They have an ongoing new client special for 3 classes (valid for all their locations among the county) which was the perfect opportunity to try this class out!!!

You can follow at your own pace or take breaks where needed, and I really don't feel like others are noticing or paying attention so it gives me that grace to do what my body is wanting that day. I used to never run, now i'm running also two miles and i'm wanting to transition to outdoor runs as well to maybe start doing 5k runs. This wouldn't be possible without Orangetheory for sure. I just wish that there were a location closer to my house. Worth the money though!

She pushes you just the right amount. I have always left her classes surprised with myself and how I performed. Her music is fun and her overall attitude and joy for what she does and helping others is one of a kind. Hailey is a ball of great energy. She has the BEST music and an even better attitude. She says the most empowering and uplifting things during class and it keeps me wanting to come back and pre-book for following weeks! Marcus is great to be around. His workouts are challenging and you never know it until the next day that he destroyed you in the best way haha! This gym is so great!

The rides as intense as you want and the workout is doable for anyone at any level (IMO).

I took an introductory class with Stephanie and was hooked! Given my schedule, I signed up for 4 classes/month. I'm 12 classes in and starting to feel pretty good! It has become a stress reliever after a crazy day at work, and I REALLY look forward to the classes. The class size is small so you don't feel like you're just a number. The instructors check in with each person to see how they're doing and their condition, help guide you through the exercises, use equipment properly and safely, modify movements as needed,and have you working out to fun music! I'm at Level 1.0 but I feel like every time I go, there's always something new. I also love the fact that you don't have to feel self-conscious or awkward being there. They have a diversity of people in class of all shapes, sizes, and ages who are all at different stages of their fitness journey. Give this place a try!

I paid for services they did not honor per their agreement. This club does not value customer service, in any capacity. The first class I took with the lead instructor was not great. I being a beginner needed some guidance and the instructor was not helpful in any capacity. When I requested help, I got an eye roll & I was made to feel like I was a nuisance. Moving forward to booking additional classes as time progressed every class I attempted to book was always full . Granted it is a smaller studio and the parking is also very limiting which is also discouraging. After working out at other studios and gyms that they are much more accommodating and helpful then Club Pilates. Club Pilates in San Marcos is not worth the money at $30 a class. I also get a much better workout at other studios and gyms that are less. I asked to get a refund on the remainder of my class package I purchased and was told to go to other locations that are not convenient for me.
