I don't know why some people say that the staff/people in the gym are not nice. It's quite the opposite, every time that I come through the doors the staff always say hi back and when working out, the members are always respectful and don't criticize at all. Some members have even given me some very helpful advice/recommendations when they saw me struggling in something with a positive attitude. I highly recommend the gym because 90% of the time it's not packed like other Gyms and there's a lot of equipment. read more

The Gym is great! I went in for a day pass to try it out (if you like the gym they will have the 20 go towards your membership). The next day I tried calling a few times but no one answered. I ended up signing up after the 24 hour period, and was understanding that they wouldn't be able to apply it to my membership, but I let them know what happened and they happily gave me back the 20! I really appreciated that, but they don't answer the phone so just go in! They have a TON of equipment that most gyms don't have, never seems to be overly crowded, has a great outdoor workout area and there's even puppies always running around! Love that! They don't have AC which hasn't been a problem, but some people may like that. The staff and just people that work out there are all very friendly. Overall I really love the atmosphere. read more

I have emailed and called about my membership. Due to covid and now not having a job, plus living hella far. I can't make it to the gym no more. I've been trying to cancel my membership!!! I've emailed in July! No response, been calling since and no one answers!!! Wtf? Update: so after multiple attempts on canceling my membership, and no luck! I had to cancel my card due to another issue (not related to the gym)... anyways my card got canceled two weeks ago, TWO! And this GYM sent my account to a collection agency because my monthly payment of 40 dollars wasn't done! I spoke to the financial place and explain to them that I have proof of emails and phone calls, that their is also other reviews about this gym never answering for people/members trying to cancel... he was helpful and documented this in his end.. now i will make the a 40 minute drive just to go speak to someone so this doesn't affect my credit! This separates those who are being serious and those who just look for a center to do their workouts... when I first went into the gym I was offer the option to take a look around and decide from there and at that moment I know it was the gym for me! Be warned not because you got a membership with the Gym in vista that doesn't mean you can go to the Pacific Beach location or any other location I didn't know that when I signed up literally if you signed up at that gym, you only can go to that location. It's literally BS. The Pro's of this place.., they have a lot of equipment, open 24 hrs, it seems to be kept clean, now, I guess you can get legal testosterone at the place now, A lot of good looking people there, "but they know it too". The Con's.. The music is so loud at times, you can't even hear your own headphones, The manager seems always mad, with the option of legal testosterone now, that will bring in more people with the black market stuff trying to sell cheaper "buyer beware". At the end of the day, after the novelty of it wears off, it's just another public gym. You'll get out of it what you put in. read more

The staff is always super friendly, as are the majority of the members. Everyone is there with the same mindset: to put in the work in a welcoming gym environment, and get results. If you're looking for personal training, be sure to ask for Jordan. He builds a plan that's tailored to your specific goals, and consistently provides expert technical instruction every step of the way. He focuses on proper form and teaching you to efficiently target individual muscles, as well as safely performing compound lifts as you increase in weight. I have a bad knee that had surgery two years ago, and he structured my workouts to strengthen not just the knee, but all the supporting leg, hip, and core muscles, to where inside of a month I was able to cleanly do squats (a goal of mine) for the first time in almost a decade. Favorite gym I've ever been a member of. Todd, Rachel, Elvira and the rest of this staff have this place so solid and CLEAN. Oh my goodness, the maintenance staff keeps this place in tip-top shape. I love coming here. I feel at home and motivated by all the other members every day I come in. The fact that I can use the sauna is one of the most important factors to me. Also no children, no classes, just straight up old school lifting and working out. Also love that Supreme is right next door for added workout benefits. Okay people, if you expect World Gym to be like 24-Hour or LA Fitness, then this gym is NOT for you! If you want to work out with people who are athletes, people who take bodybuilding, weight lifting, and fitness seriously, then you found the right place. This place is not for the sensitive types, and people who get offended that there is sweat on the floor, or smells sweat in the air during peak periods. The smell of sweat speaks for the level of commitment of the individuals who trains at this gym, and no one just comes here to use the treadmill to do cardio. Weight lifting is the primary form of exercise done at this gym. It motivates me when I come to this place to work out. I see all the women and men who are hard-core trainers, and lifters, there are not many places like World's gym in North County. The people who work here are super down to earth, helpful, and knows their stuff. They live, breath, and walk the fitness lifestyle. There are so many options of equipment and weights that you can use here, and the atmosphere creates the space for serious lifters. I recommend this place to work out versus the spa-type gyms like 24 or LA. I've had memberships with these two gyms, and it was a waste of my money. I do recommend that you ask to work with a personal trainer at this gym. They do have amazing fitness coaches here (look into Everlast Fitness), and they can create a plan to maximize your workouts here at World Gym. read more

I started going here last year when Covid shut down 24 Hour Fitness but even though 24 is back and I only pay them $69 a year, I wanted to continue going here anyway. It's worth the extra money and Todd being the super great guy he is, worked out a deal for me. The people who go to this gym are not only all serious about fitness and bodybuilding but they're super nice people. The staff is incredible. So this place is amazing. I was here for a while as a client until I had to move briefly..amazing gym great environment but HERE is why they are the best. I noticed a charge for my membership after I canceled, this was NOT their fault but a third party company they use. When i contacted Todd he easily could have told me to call the company and figure it out but instead he right away went to work figuring out the issue. Rachel ended up helping as well and within an hour of me contacting them they fixed my issue had me refunded and were apologetic despite it not being their fault. Your local 24 would probably have you mail a notarized letter with a copy of your birth certificate just to cancel a membership. Oh my God, this review is long overdue! I totally forgot to review this place but I can tell you this is the worst gym in the world! Not only is it the dirtiest gym in the world that I've ever been to and I've lived in like a lot of states due to traveling. I had a six month membership because I didn't want to commit for a full year and only committed for that long to begin with it was because of Covid and they were the only gym that was open. At first, the owner, big angry looking dude Had the worst attitude I've ever met as a business owner. Awesome simple question and gave me complete attitude and I was just completely startled because I'd like a small girl for him to be giving attitude for no reason. They're just as unprofessional as the owners attitude. I can only assume the reason why they kept having their business was because of the fact that they were open during Covid and didn't listen to any other regulations which I was grateful for but the fact that they weren't even cleaning down the place and it was all dusty and so humid where it just felt like if you walked in there and someone had Covid for sure you would get it. I personally don't care about the regulations but I do care about cleanliness as a normal human being and I can tell you that place was disgustingly dirty. I ended up getting a traitor for three months and she was OK but honestly not the best trainer in the world. I had a consultation to try a different trainer out who actually was a worker there and again, same thing attitude. Thank God that everything is now open and I can go to an actual clean gym without disgusting attitude and a disgusting work out space. Solid location. Staff is great and very friendly. This definitely has a good vibe to it. You feel almost obligated to give 110% effort when you're in the weight room because of the community atmosphere around accomplishing your fitness goals. This gym has great music and has that old school vibe perfect for both the serious lifter and the beginner I've been here a few times for posing practice as a bikini competitor, group training with my cheer team, and working out. It breaks my heart to write this because I actually really loved World Gym Vista. This is the first gym that my husband and I actually felt comfortable in and fit what we wanted out of a gym, it helped that the owner John was always incredibly nice and professional. But this week we (my husband and I) ended our membership there (early) because of a trainer that works there independently who turned the gym into a hostile environment (Randy with Alpha Training 760). A situation arose and the gym decided to stand with Randy on keeping a progress picture on the wall of my husband supporting his company after a big falling out with him and after we asked him to not use it. I think that the gym needs to know that they are losing members by letting a trainer who isn't even employed by them to disrespect, call and threaten members and run members out of the gym. It's disappointing and I would never recommend a trainer there or for someone to go there, when it comes to members, it looks like they don't care. read more

For the few months I've been in California I've gone back and forth between this one and pacific beach due to working all over the place. *2016/17 update* 1) todd rudely interrupted my workout and told me to leave and still charged me even tho my pass said ANY world gym. Yep charged me and still kicked me. While he charged only 5 that still adds up and my pass said any. *days prior the other guys there accepted my pass there with no issues* 2) todd said pb doesn't accept theirs so they don't accept theirs 3) this location never offered the pass. Period. You smirked, shook your head a year ago and said "we don't offer those passes here" F.uck you jack@ss Haven't been back to this one, and don't plan on returning.
