Sooo, I did a thing... I went to CycleBar and took a spinning class for the very first time. I attempted to sign up online after reviewing and reading. First timers pay only $10. After having issues online I called and tegistered myself, my daughter, and friend and made payment. I was able To sign us up for the upcoming Saturday session 7:45-8:45am. You will receive text msgs and emails confirming all the details. Very important that you arrive 10-15 min early. They had lockers set up for us and provided us w special shoes that clip into the pedals of the bike. You're provided w a towel, make sure you eat breakfast prior to arriving and bring water. Disclaimer: the seats on the bike are hard asl and will leave your bum sore the day to come... small things to a giant. The instructor will give you life, I think I had James. The energy was up, the setting was everything, from light control to the playlist. Highly recommend!!! Side note: my friend thought she'd be okay to show up late, no ma'am!!! I tried out the Cyclebar and enjoyed my first ride. So I went ahead and got the membership. After 2 rides I realized that the drive to get there was too much for me. So I tried to cancel. I was told that I had to cancel 30 days before next billing so I would have to still be charged another month. So for the whole month that I already paid for 4 rides I tried to get myself to go during the holiday week and didn't make it to the ride that I booked. I got a $20 charge for a no show to a ride that I already purchased. So now not only did I pay for classes I didn't really want, but I also got charged for missing the class I already paid for! I don't appreciate businesses that keep taking your money and don't play fair when people want out. The facility is clean and the people were nice but I wouldn't recommend anyone to do business with them because they charge you even on the way out. read more

Love this place. I initially attended for a Yelp event with Andi, and signed up for follow up classes after and have been attending ever since. I love the easy to use APP instance where you can not only sign up for class times but also pick out your specific bike. I've mostly attended classes with Faith and Jessica, who I highly recommend, however every instructor here has been great! When you walk in you'll see the shoe section, front desk, lockers and seating to prep for class. Beyond that area are doors that lead to the cycle theater where classes actually take place. There are a variety of options for classes from early morning to later in the evening weekly. A really fun option is always the brunch cycle class which includes adult beverages at the end and a little time to socialize with class mates and the instructor. They run deals for bundled class amount on a regular basis, so be sure to check on those when signing up for multiples. You can choose options from a couple of classes to book whenever you want, or packages that are unlimited rides for a month timeframe, and so on. Overall: A+ Definitely a great full body workout and love the fact that the time passes super fast since you are really into it! read more

Never have I been prevented from entering a class for being 10 minutes late even after my partner gave them a heads up that there was traffic and I made a wrong turn. I drove 45 minutes to get to class and due to traffic and parking (had to park on the 3rd level of the structure) In all my years of taking Soul Cycle, Barry's, CycleBar, Full Psycle, Grit Cycle, and Orange Theory (and in many different states) I have never, ever experienced this. This is only the second time I've been to this studio and although the staff is kind, there is no excuse for this type of treatment to clients. read more

This place is tucked in the corner of a plaza, but once found you are totally absorbed into the cycle bar family! Everyone is so happy and vivacious, the energy is contagious! They provide you special cycling shoes or you can purchase ones they sell. They have cute, signature athletic wear and they even have a snack bar! If you forgot your hair tie or if it breaks unexpectedly in class, you can help yourself out to a free one. Each of the two bathrooms are equipped with hair and body supplies needed to freshen up. They have various themed cycle nights that they always switch up, like 80s night, wine down Wednesday, and Sunday brunch happy hour! They offer 30 min, 60 min or 75 min classes. Just like riding a bike, right? Oh no, it is so much more than that. I bought a Groupon on a whim to this place as an effort to try to become more fit. The building is in a gorgeous brand new shopping center, ironically close to three places that serve primarily desserts... I say they should have partnership; Slice of cake after every 10 miles. The staff was incredibly friendly and looks like the portrait of what you hope to look like at the end of these classes. Truly, every one of them is a beautiful pillar of strength! I rudely arrived about five minutes later than they had requested and they were still incredibly excited for my very first class and took me through their entire process. They gave me a free water bottle, explained to me how the lockers work, fitted me with cycling shoes, fixed the bike to fit my short size and explained all about their stats and how the bike operates. They provided a towel and a water bottle and their specialty shoes lock you into the bike. The shoe locking definitely take some getting used to. The room looks like a modern night club, dark, cool and lots of colorful lights surrounding you. Their sound system is Bumpin!!! Bring on the bass!! The lights in the room change depending on the song and the instructors throw in choreography to match the beat of whatever they're are playing. I specifically booked an "Indie vs EDM" class as those are the two top Pandora stations I listen to... and boy was I in music heaven. It's amazing what things you will push your body to do because there's a good song on. There's no rude screaming at this cycling place, nothing but incredibly positive affirmations to encourage you to do your best. My only complaint is the bike seats are incredibly uncomfortable, this may be by design considering they want you off of your seat for the most part. The classes are $25 each, so making this a regular habit may be difficult on your wallet, so if you are uncertain I would highly recommend getting the Groupon to try first. After 45 minutes my legs feel like Jell-O, but I left with the comfort knowing that after each class the bikes are completely sanitized. Plus, it's nice to leave a gym with a table full of snacks, drinks, body wipes and a bottle of wine, I guess that's where the "bar" in cycle bar comes from. This is certainly a welcome addition to the Winter Park area, and I'm glad I made the effort to visit. Go out, be daring, try something new, it will only make you a better person. read more

I purchased an unlimited month as the cycle bar where I lived in Lake Nona closed. For me that's a 45 minute drive after work with traffic. I experienced what another customer here mentioned, not being let into the class. The front desk girl Stephanie I believe was her name was super unkind, knowing it's rush hour and that I drove over 45 minutes to get there turned me away and sent me home on my first day. The policy is crazy with traffic and your kids schedules, if I paid for a class let me in. The whole concept that the class will be disrupted is nuts. When I'm in class and someone walks in and sits on there bike it literally doesn't affect me at all. It's literally no different than if I got there on time, got up to pee, and came back in halfway during the class. Same shit. What's the difference. If you're a first time rider and don't know how to set up, maybe, but even after I explained to her I've been there before and she still wouldn't let me in that is crazy. We pay for a service, no one is doing us any favors, if we are late that affects us because we are not getting the full class we paid for but it literally doesn't affect anyone else. Be more understanding of rush hour, holiday season, people with kids, and realize where this business is, it literally takes 10 minutes just to find freaking parking before turning people away, thanks. read more

Classes are 45 minutes and include some upper body work and basic stretches. Their bikes are a bit more comfortable than those at my gym. There is kind of a competitive atmosphere here. They supply shoes and lockers, which is nice. This is pricey as compared to a gym membership, but the level of service is high. read more

Lots of fun classes including music with music videos, happy hour and brunch includes drinks by the studio! Fast forward to almost a year later, and I'm still loving Cyclebar. This place has become a second home of mine (and to many, many regulars, as well). Cyclebar can make a bad day turn great, a sad day turn happy, a frustrating day turn to an accomplished day. Cyclebar is a place where all of the worries from the outside world disappear. A place where friendships are made. A no judgement zone. A place where milestones are achieved. I spin at Cyclebar about 3x per week. At this point, I've taken rides with every Cycle Star (instructor). They are all so unique and you get a completely different experience with each Cycle Star (different styles of music, eclectic personalities, 3 different class types-Performance, Connect, and Classic). I highly recommend trying out all instructors, because I still can't pinpoint my favorite one. Each of the Cycle Stars impress me each time, as they keep adding new ideas and twists to the classes. Cyclebar recently changed over to new ownership, and I already see a positive change. Cyclebar was great already, but now it's really over the top. The owner Lauren makes herself present at Cyclebar. She's often greeting clients at the door and helping new riders get situated. Her infectious smile and personality hits you right when you enter Cyclebar and starts your experience off right. The RES (front desk) staff members are also at the door greeting clients. They help sign people in, get their shoes, and help set up riders' bikes if they need help. They take new riders on a tour and really explain how everything works so the newbies feel comfortable. I could easily write about Cyclebar for days, because this place is so great. Trust me, it's worth the try (and by that, I mean that you will be hooked!). First ride for newbies is always free. There's a first time riders beginning package of 10 rides-for a special rate. But I expect you to "spin" through those quickly. I highly suggest buying the monthly unlimited package, as you'll be so hooked, wanting to go all the time. Cyclebar will become your next family. I've heard of Cycle places in NYC, but this is the first that I know of in the Orlando area. Gyms have Cycle classes but those in no way compare to Cycle Bar and the experience here. Every time I've entered, I've quickly been greeted by one of the staff members (who are also the spin instructors). They explained how the place worked and made me feel welcome. Sign up for a class online. There's a schedule with all of the classes, and you can sign up, up to 2 weeks in advance. Be sure to sign up quickly as some classes fill up easily. Make a profile, with your stats to help track your progress. When you enter, you check in on one of the iPads which are hanging from the wall. The staff members grab you a pair of shoes (they only come in half sizes-I prefer a half size bigger). Lockers are available (free) to put your stuff in during the class. There's free water bottles, hair ties, ear plugs, towels all available for everyone. There are 41 bikes in the room, all numbered, and it's easy to find your bike. The room is dark with two tv screens up in front. If you need help setting yourself up on the bikes, a staff member will happily assist you. They teach how to "lock in" and "unlock" your shoes, how to adjust the bike to your height and the whole process. Choose between a 4 or 6 lb bar weight. You can choose to have your username display on the tv screens throughout, which will show you your ranking throughout the class. I like it because it acts as extra motivation to pick up the pace. So far I've had spin classes with Ali and Allison and they were definitely tough. Expect to be dripping sweat by the end of the workout. The instructors are energetic, friendly, helpful and encouraging. I have had direct positive experiences with Ali, Allison, Nicole and Valentina. My sister and I love this place so much that we both bought the "Backstage Pass". This means we bough 150 rides. It's encouraged to buy a package of rides to get a cheaper value per ride. Woo! What a way to pop my cycling cherry! This place is AWESOME. Me & my coworkers went to a Wednesday night class w/ the instructor being Candy & it was great! We were greeted w/ our names on lockers with our bike numbers on them, we also had free water bottles inside! Valentina ( The asst. Manager & fellow instructor) helped us get accustomed to the cycling shoes they provide & she showed us how to adjust the bikes to our needs. She was very sweet and always addressed each of us by our names which I found really awesome (it's the little things ya know lol) She also warned us that we picked a connect class which is the hardest of their classes (yikes!) Once we got settled into our bikes in the class we got into the groove of things with the Instructor Candy & WOW she is so much fun! I see why the connect class is the hardest class, I could barely keep up! But not once did I feel uncomfortable, just great energy and good vibes. Total judgment free zone. I took a 30-minute first-timer class here back in December, and it was a lot of fun. It's a lot like the Soul Cycle classes I've taken in DC. Prices are roughly the same -- indoor cycling isn't cheap unless you get one of their monthly plans and go almost every day. The facility is clean and the staff is extremely helpful, upbeat and friendly. I would have returned sooner, but I've been traveling so much over the holidays. The only downside for me is that it's far, which isn't a reflection of this particular studio. I'm coming from the Shingle Creek area, and the drive up and down I-4 doesn't excite me. We went yesterday, everyone was super friendly and really welcoming. It really was a no judgement zone and everyone was amazing showing you around and getting you all set up. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the lockers had "welcome" and your name and inside of the lockers there were some goodies. They also had some complementary water, fruits, hair ties, and much more. Classes were getting ready to start and Valentina got us all set up. Candy had amazing energy and AMAZING music choice. It was one intense 50 minute ride but I felt more energized once it was done. I enjoyed my experiences. If you get to take classes with music that fits your personality it's a plus. They serve refreshments and fruit. They also provide little things you may need to pull your hair back, lockers, body spray, water bottles etc. The only reason for only 4 stars is because accommodation where it mattered most to me was comfort. I still have about 6 cycles remaining but I am unable to do it bc I have the tiniest feet apparently. I wear a size 4.5-5 in women. As a result my feet slide back and forth in the shoe provided, and I think it caused more discomfort for me (not sure). This is what I mean where it matters most- I asked if they could accommodate with a smaller size... initially they said they should have one or they could possibly order. After waiting for about a month, I followed up. They were very pleasant but I was unfortunately told I would have to purchase my own. I am not very sure I want to invest that much into spinning yet... that's the reason I wanted to keep giving it a try. I am disappointed I was not able to utilize my spins. I was nervous about attending a class here due to being overweight and due to my exercise level being that of a couch potato. I signed up for the "FREE Intro to CycleBar" on a Saturday with Christine. Upon arriving despite my anticipation of judgment for my weight from the staff, they met me with kindness, excitement for me, and patience while I was completely clueless about cycling. They gave me a free water bottle and filled it up for me, fit me with proper shoes, and showed me how the lockers worked. When we entered the studio there were several staff members that helped all the beginners with clipping our shoes in, showing us how to adjust the bike, and how to interpret the stats on the screens. Christine started off slow explaining how the structure of classes typically were and gave us a condensed version of the class so that we got a good feel for what we would get in a full class. I loved it! Since my intro class, I purchased a Groupon for 4 classes and have used them all up in about a week and a half. It really provides an awesome workout and feels like a judgment free zone. So far I've burned up to 700 calories in one ride, and keep getting better and better results with each ride. So far Ive done rides with Jessica, someone I felt safe with to do the best I could do, she was super motivating encouraging us to let go of stresses and to push harder for someone we love. I've also done a couple classes with Alicia, she was able to push me further and do more than I thought I could, she's great at pulling things out of you that you didn't know you had. I'd highly recommend this studio for anyone, at any fitness level! They are some of the nicest people and this has really helped me in my weight loss journey so far. THE place to go for cycling classes. None better. There is not one thing I don't love about Cycle Bar. So, what's so awesome about this place? Well, I'll tell you. 1. The space. They're set up in one of the new shopping centers in the area of Mills 50 that is rapidly growing and updating. I selfishly love this location because it's very close to where I live. But their space is great as well. Very clean. Very modern. As soon as you walk in the door you just get a vibe that makes you feel pumped for the class. 2. The instructors. These people are just awesome. They know how to push you and make you feel amazing and empowered no matter what your fitness level is. 3. The classes. I mean, this is what you're here for, right? Let me tell you, the classes are so fun! The playlists they pick are the best. And if there is a song you particularly liked you can find it on their website after the class. They make these classes fun. Like a fitness party. And you really feel amazing and get an awesome workout. I HIGHLY recommend Cycle Bar. To anyone and everyone. Does spinning your legs off in a dark room with music blaring and 40 other people wondering if they really do have to turn that nob one more time sound like a great way to spend an hour? Then CycleBar is for you. Make an account online and purchase your ride credits either in one of their many package deals (best option) or individual rides for $25. Show up to your ride 15 minutes early to fill up a water bottle, find a locker and set up your bike. Everyone is very friendly and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I definitely had no idea what I was doing the first time through but the instructor, Jessica, took time to do a quick tutorial on setting up seat height, handles and shoe locking. Snap those suckers in! Side note, my foot did come unsnapped my very first ride and I couldn't get it back on so you can get through it without but it's better if they are snapped in. Trust me. The facility is very clean. Brand new bikes, lockers, shoes, etc. Forgot a hair tie? No problem. Music too loud? They've got you covered. Left your water at home? You can take a free water bottle. The only downside (or upside?) is you sweat a lot so without a shower on location it would be hard, at least for me, to do it before work. There is only so much dry shampoo can do. The location is prime with the Chuy's parking garage and Chuy's, Bulls, and Kona all in the same strip. Trader Joe's and Shake Shack are across the street in case you need groceries or want to completely erase any gains made in your session. CycleBar is a lot of fun with great instructors and staff. I purchased a Groupon and attended several classes. This is a really fun, trendy, cycle studio. I wish the lobby/locker area was a bit bigger, it turns into a cluster when you have a class ending people retrieving their items, taking off shoes, etc and then at the same time guests trying to put shoes on, items in locker etc, but I mean that's the just way the building was built I guess. I love that they have a "community board" where you can follow your cyclestars on social media, tips, quotes, and info about what's happening in the community. The classes themselves are an amazing workout. Always great tunes, positive, uplifting, energizing. I do find their passes/classes to be a but pricey, I am aware its probably the average price for a spin studio, but it just feels pricey to me. read more

I haven't been spinning in over 10 years. I thought I would give it a try prompted by the purchase of a Groupon. This facility is amazing. They give you water bottle, they have shoes (bring your socks) they have towels, lockers, hair ties, earplugs, fruit for after, and a very friendly and accommodating staff. I took Candy's. Connect class and it was wonderfully energetic. The best part I was able to still walk after and play tennis in the morning (and I am 60+). This place is amazing! I checked it out after receiving a free class for my birthday and I took a "concert ride" with Norelle and it was so tough but I pushed through. When I first arrived I was greeted and taught how to check-in, get my cycle shoes, and using the lockers. I was gifted an awesome red water bottle and I use it for everything now. After my first class I went ahead and purchased $10 classes and I'm now doing a 10-10 challenge. If I ride 10 times within 20 something days (can't remember exactly how many days) I get 10 classes in return which is awesome. I have to say, I've loved spinning for several years, and this is a beautiful and modern studio, but sadly I won't be going back. I had a pass for two free classes, but couldn't figure out a way to use it when I went to their website, but they do offer the first class for free so I made my reservation that way. The website seems convenient once you already have an account as it will even let you pick a bike in class. I arrived about 15-20 minutes early to figure things out, and the only person at the front desk was the instructor, who seemed quite frazzled dealing with walk-ins and a couple of kids running around. I had to flag her down to ask how to check in, she then explained they use iPads for the check in, and provided me with shoes. Yes, the classes here require special shoes that lock into the pedals. I figured out on my own we were allowed to use the lockers, and proceeded to the bike room. I have done spinning several times through the years, and even though I'm not speedy, I have no problem keeping up with the routine and my legs don't feel sore afterwards anymore. Still, I wasn't a big fan of the class. It was hard to hear the instructor, who failed to inform us about everything, it took me a minute to figure out the shoes and someone next to me struggled to show me where to turn on the screen on the bike. Still couldn't figure out everything until halfway through the class, which kept me at the bottom of the board until almost the end. Yeah, they have a ranking board, which was the least motivational thing they could do. And the main reason why I will not return? Dubstep. I get they need high energy music, and I'm a huge fan of electronic music, but screeching sounds at full volume are a big no-no, there's way better dubstep tracks if they want that type of high energy music. Getting off the bike is more than tricky, be sure to ask for help. As a side note, their shoes are very uncomfortable as well, and I noticed at least one smart person that was wearing her own. After the class again had to figure things out, and ask yet another girl babysitting in the front desk what to do with the shoes. Good workout? Sure. I am not affiliated with any cycling studio or fitness anything, I'm personally on a physical and mental health improvement journey and found this to be my experiences. I have rode here and at the winter park Rukus locations for 6+ months both places. Rukus is a far better work out with friendlier cycle instructors and staff. I found CycleBar instructors "catty" passive aggressive and downright rude at times to say the least. The CycleBar winter park instructors are far less knowledgeable and the workout is mediocre at best. The instructors I rode with regularly at CycleBar was christine james & jen. I recently purchased a peloton and find that I get a better workout from their classes and see that CycleBar instructors knock off a lot of the things they do from the peloton app. This location was also the most expensive out of them all. Do your research and if you're not part of the "in crowd" and actually are trying to improve yourself, imo this isn't the place to attend. read more

I'm not what you call 'in shape'. This class kicked my butt. It's an amazing workout for sure. Cycle Bar was kind enough to arrange a free class for my office to check it out. If you're new to spin, like me, make sure to get to class a little early so you can work with one of the staff members to set up your bike properly. The staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming with this process. They also showed you how to attach your shoes to the pedals (and how to get out of them). I did alright the first couple songs. Then it started getting a little complicated, there was more 'choreography' and a lot more resistance. Luckily, I didn't feel judged for sitting back and just pedaling while I regrouped. The coolest thing about the class was the lighting. They change the lighting up per song. Sometimes there is a red tint, sometimes there is a spotlight on the instructor. This visual change was often enough to get you pumped to tackle the next song. I definitely recommend Cycle Bar. I'm not sure spinning is for me but if it's for you, give this place a shot! read more
