Even the most extremist Republican out there should be disgusted... because yes, they are getting their way, but what Republican should really want his (or her?) way, knowing only 10% or 20% of Americans support it, and that it's being done against the will of the people using a broken, corrupt system. Thankfully whether you're a Republican or a Democrat or just confused, you don't need to be confused about where to get your bike fixed. The service isn't always the best (I should give 4 stars for how eager they are to close in the final hour of operation, and how unfriendly they can become at that time), but the products are good, solid, affordable, and the pricing is not bad, the normal hours service is really great, and the best part is that all of your money is staying in the community because this store, which has a lot in common in terms of size and selection with a big box store, is actually a little family owned business with only this location! So it's an obvious upgrade to 5 stars for that.

That's honestly pretty rare nowadays. He recommended some padded cycling shorts to help with the pain I was having from longer rides and being a new rider, and I also picked up a tire chain lubrica. What stood out most was that he never felt like a salesman -- he just felt like a real, down-to-earth person who clearly loves bikes and enjoys helping people. There was zero pressure, just good advice and a friendly conversation. On top of that, he was super nice and even gave me a discount he definitely didn't have to give me. I then had them put the wheels from the Roubaix on my Cervélo, which increased my speed by two minutes. Next, I will have them swap out my Pinarello for my Cervélo wheels. If it can be done, Fred can do it. He also will give you the best advice even if it means he's not going to make any money off the sale. He would give you the same customer service if you bought in a bike for $10.00 or $10,000.

Got 2 hours for 80$ which was a deal compared to the other rental places around. We rented out a 6 seater which was perfect for the fam bam. The max speed was 35mph so there were a few streets that was off limits due to minimum speed of 40mph or above, a map was provided to show the restrictions. A lot of Galveston Island could still be occupied with the golf cart. We stayed mostly on Seawall (street by the ocean) as it was the most scenic route to us. Must drive on the right side as that is the slow lane. Our cart had a newly placed speaker that had bluetooth capability and we really enjoyed bumping our tunes. The whole family enjoyed the ride and definitely marks a memory for a different experience. When we returned the cart, we wanted to purchase a funnel cake but they said the kitchen was closed. A worker came out and offered us an order of deep fried Oreos (6 came in an order) for free since someone didn't pick it up, and they were delicious! Thanks for the great service! Will keep this spot in mind if we return!

The first bike (a road bike from 2005 that had never been professionally serviced) was repaired without prior authorization of the final total. I did not receive a call reviewing the estimate before the work was completed. However, the mechanical work itself was excellent. The bike now rides like new, and I have no complaints about the quality of the repair. $375. The second bike was a full-suspension mountain bike that I brought in primarily to diagnose rear suspension play. After the first repair experience, I made it clear that I wanted to be contacted before any major charges were made. I later received documentation showing over $500 in recommended parts before a clear authorization conversation had taken place. After discussion, the shop acknowledged the communication issue. Shortly afterward, I was informed that the carbon frame had a structural issue. I was sent a brief video and told that replacement would be required for best performance. I purchased a new frame and asked the shop to transfer the components. The entire process took approximately three months. The shop agreed to keep labor within the previously discussed range, which I appreciated. However, when the bike was returned, it had not been fully tuned. Cable routing needed correction, brakes required alignment, and shifting required a great deal of adjustment. I completed the final tuning myself. In summary: The shop is capable of good mechanical work. My primary concern throughout the process was communication and follow-through -- specifically clarity around authorization, cost transparency, and final tuning before pickup.
